Sugarlips Cakery was incredible. Their flavors are amazing, and their designs are beautiful. We chose a simple marble cake with chocolate filling, and our guests loved it so much that many went back for seconds. It was a huge hit!
The planning process was so easy with their recommendations, clear communication, and expertise. The final design came out even better than we imagined. We are so glad we chose Sugarlips and highly recommend them to any couple!

Perfectly Decorated Wedding Cake
Sugarlips Cakery did a fantastic job our wedding cake and dessert bar.
The consultation process was easy. They offered take home tasting boxes for our cake. The questionnaire to plan for our dessert bar was super straightforward.
Sugarlips did our wedding cake design perfectly. I only had one inspiration photo to provide them from Pinterest and they did a fabulous job recreating it better than I could've imagined.
Best part is that everything tasted so great! We plan to get lots of cupcakes for years to come so we can relive our wedding cake.

The best cake!
Sugarlips was the most delicious cake, we are so glad we used them for our wedding. We did a cake tasting and ended up getting cupcakes and a cutting cake. Everything was phenomenal! They are on it with their communication, ordering and pick up was a breeze! And our cake turned out exactly as we wanted it.

Our experience was great with SugarLips Cakery! We met them at a venue open house at the Grove and enjoyed their tasting. So when we ended up booking our wedding at Schnepf Farms, we knew we wanted them as our bakery. We had so much fun at our wedding tasting and they explained all our options, allowing us to choose a plan that fed all our guests as well as got us the best bang for our buck! We ended up with a small 3-tier naked cake (marble with chocolate mousse) as well as pink champagne and red velvet cupcakes. All were absolutely delicious and our guests raved about them, even taking leftovers home. They also expertly placed our flowers and cake topper onto our cake. Highly recommend.

First off, we wanted to note that it was easy to work with the staff at Sugarlips. They were easy to talk too at the Venue at the Grove open house and it was fun to try out free samples and learn about their bakery. They made it simple to setup a consult and tasting appointment over the phone. They took time with us to sit down at their bakery and talk through the whole cake and dessert table design process while being able to sample different flavored fillings and cakes as well. They did a beautiful job setting up our little cake toppers and decorations too during our big wedding day! Sugarlips did a great job with our cake and mini dessert table! All of our guests really enjoyed your sweet treats. We had a guest that even had three slices of your dulce de leche cake with white chocolate filling during the reception because they loved it so much! The other two cake flavors we had was a strawberry cake with a banana mousse filling and a confetti cake with cream cheese filling. All three tiers of the different flavor combinations were delightful! We also loved the variety of all the different items that you had to offer. From dipped pretzel sticks, to mini cheesecake bites and brownie bites, there was a little something for everyone! We would highly recommend them for anyone that is looking for a bakery vendor for a party or wedding!

I had a lovely experience working with Sugarlips for my wedding. The tasting was a very fun/cute experience, and the cake was so good that I immediately promised myself that I wouldn’t go without eating cake on my wedding night. They delivered exactly what we asked for at the wedding, both in terms of external appearance and taste. The cake itself is absolutely delicious! I called them after I took a look at their website and wanted to check them out. I asked what the process was since I had no idea what questions to ask or where to start. The gal on the phone was extremely helpful and we made an appointment to come taste some cake samples. They offer a good variety of cake flavors and fillings. You get to try 3 cake flavors of your choice along with 3 fillings. Be prepared to have a sugar high! I don't know how many guests you can bring though since it was just me and my soon-to-be-husband. They go through all the details to make sure your cake is exactly the way you envision it.

Sugarlips Cakery went above and beyond my expectations! We had a bit of a cake emergency, about 2 months before our wedding the person that was going to make our cake found out they weren’t available, Sam was able to fit us in and save the day! We went in for our tasting, picked out cake and then about a month before the wedding found out we were going to need to feed about 70 additional people, so once again Sam saved the day by making me a groom’s cake (this was a huge deal since they were already packed full for the month and not taking on any additional cakes).
I had a picture of what I was looking to have done but when they delivered the cake on the day of the wedding it blew me away, it was so beautiful I didn’t even want to cut it. The cake itself was amazing, 4 different flavors so there was a little something for everyone, our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was and how they had more than one piece. It must have been good because there wasn’t any left. Highly recommend Sam and her team, we will use them again for other events.

Hands Down the BEST Wedding Cake Vendor!!!!
Sugarlips Cakery was listed as a preferred vendor and was recommended to us through our venue. The entire staff was easy to work with, personable, and professional! We had a 4 tier cake and chose the following flavors: almond cake with cream cheese filling, lemon cake with bavarian cream filling, chocolate cake with cream cheese filling, and vanilla cake with peanut butter filling (this was our top tier choice). Every single flavor was INCREDIBLE - it is hard to choose a favorite! But, if I was forced to choose, my personal favorite was the lemon cake with bavarian cream filling.
We got so many compliments from our guests stating that our wedding cake was the best they have ever had!! We knew our guests would love the cake so we added an additional tier. We had plenty of cake for everyone, but so many people had multiple pieces, we hardly had any leftovers! It was that good! I would highly recommend Sugarlips Cakery to anyone looking for a wedding cake. They were so easy to work with, executed our vision flawlessly, and the flavors are unmatched! Sugarlips was the preferred vendor for our venue (Legacy Golf Resort) so I knew they were going to be good.
I love that we were able to pick both of our favorite flavors, plus a crowd pleaser for the masses. All of our guests were THRILLED with the cake- so many people came back for seconds!
We had chocolate cake with chocolate mousse, spice cake with Bavarian creme, and almond cake with raspberry filling. The cake was beautiful, and most importantly, DELICIOUS.
The gals at Sugarlips were so easy to work with. I have a feeling I will be seeing them a lot in the future. YUM!

Our wedding cake was beautifully made and baked to perfection. It tasted as good as it looked! We just loved our wedding cake! The moment we walked in for our cake tasting and saw how much they prepared for us (they had welcome signs with our names on it, our wedding day, the flavors we requested and drinks ready) we already fell in love with them. When we had our first taste of one of the flavors, we knew then we were going to hire them as our cake vendor and no longer looked for anyone else.
We had the red velvet with cream cheese, my husbdand’s favorite – pink champagne with vanilla custard and my favorite- almond with raspberry. Their customer service was fantastic, Courtney, their manager accommodated us, made us feel at home with no pressure. They were affordable and they did a fantastic job decorating our naked cake with flowers and everyone was talking about how delicious the cake was, and asked us if there were more!
We will definetly go back to buy our anniversary cake from them! We recommend them and yes, worth every penny!

LOVED our wedding cake from Sugarlips! We had initially looked at some other bakeries and were really put off by the prices and the fact that the cakes tasted like boxed cake mix. When we tasted at Sugarlips and then saw their awesome pricing it was a done deal. I especially appreciate how patient they were with me through multiple drafts of the decorating plan, I was an indecisive bride! Wonderful in every way. I used Sugarlips because they made my sister's wedding cake and it was gorgeous and delicious- and a fair price. We met with a consultant to taste flavors, review cake styles, and seek some of their advice. Everything was low pressure, open minded, and smooth. On our wedding day, everything went on without a glitch, the cake looked even better than I had anticipated, and everyone was raving about how delicious it was. We even did a "kitchen cake" so that we didn't have to pay for another tier but had enough to feed all of our guests (much more affordable).

I absolutely ADORED our wedding cake! Sugarlips was recommended through our venue. We got lemon raspberry and all my guests loved it! We had requested a galaxy cake, but with buttercream instead of fondant. They were able to take our favorite parts from all of our reference pictures and make the cake better than all of them combined! They knew what I wanted better than I did! They were very responsive in quickly setting up an appointment For a tasting and very flexible when we suddenly had to change the appointment. We couldn’t have been happier with our cake and overall experience with Sugarlips Cakery.
When the groom and I did our tasting, we had a really hard time deciding on cake flavors because they were all so delicious. Ultimately, we decided to have two different kinds of cake, with a more simple cake for 4 out of the 5 layers, then one layer of decadence for those who wanted that. Our guests absolutely loved that they got to choose between two different types of cake. They also offered a few different options for cake stand rentals, which was great and eliminated the stress of having to find or buy one myself.
I seriously considered not having a wedding cake because I really am not a big cake fan, but they made me a believer! We were still eating some leftover cake a full week after the wedding and it was just as moist and delicious as it was the day of the wedding. These guys are amazing, can’t wait to unfreeze that top layer on our anniversary!

PERFECTION! We found them as a preferred vendor through Superstition Manor. We made the appointment and went and tasted their cakes. They were delicious! We sat down with a cake designer and she took all our ideas and drew it out right in front of us so we had an idea of what we wanted. We were thrilled. However, i began follwing them on Instagram and noticed that alot of people were giving them themes and then letting them have free reign on the designs and the images i saw were AMAZING. So a week before my wedding i literally walked in and said "i want to change my design." the lady looked at me like i was crazy lol then i said "we are doing a star wars theme so forget everything we told you before, design wise, and do your thing." OMG AM I SO HAPPY WE DID THAT! The cake was freaking awesome! It was WAY BETTER then anything we could have come up with and it tasted great. If you dont order from them then you are seriously missing out. Thanks guys!!

We found out about Sugarlips Cakery through our package at Superstition Manor. When we had our tasting we were very impressed. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable. We designed a quilted cake that fit our style and the baker helped us pair different flavors together. The end result was absolutely amazing!

We purchased mini cheesecakes and cupcakes for our rehearsal dinner and our wedding cake with Sugarlips. They were fantastic! We checked out several bakeries for our wedding cake and Sugarlips had the biggest selection of flavors, was most responsive to our design, and had the best value. Our cake was the talk of the night, it was huge, beautiful and delicious! It was moist, flavorful and held up after a full evening. We ordered a four tier cake in pink champagne. We used Sugarlips Cakery for our wedding through our package at the Grove. When we went for our tasting they were very helpful, and made sure we were aware what our package covered, and what would be additional costs. I really didn't want additional costs, so after showing them pictures of what I liked, they worked it into what would work for my package. The end result was amazing! We received a lot of good comments about the taste of the cake as well, especially the coconut filling!

We were also happy with the color schemes and decoration and it turned out to be just the way I visualized. They understood that my husband has a deathly allergy to strawberry and took every precaution to ensure that nothing strawberry came in contact with the cake. The tasting was the best ever. They have a great assortment of varieties of cake flavors, fillings, and frosting. Let your mind run free with their awesomely creative staff and they will help you fit what you want it into your budget. My cake was on the simple side flavor wise – but we wanted everyone to eat it! Lol So with that said the outside was awesome. They custom matched the frosting color to my David’s Bridal swatch. They even matched the lace at the bottom of my dress to the cake! It was a perfect yummy replica of the bottom lace trim on my dress. I brought my own cake topper 2 cars – we both work in the auto industry, him repair and auto body for me. They made sure it looked perfect! They even got our wedding logo on the cake as a perfect match!! You can’t beat that!! I would choose them again in a heartbeat! Did I mention their cakes tasted amazing through and through??!!

We used sugar lips for our wedding cake. The cake tasted amazing, and sugar lips was able to work with my wife in creating a nature theme. During the consultation my wife and I gave them some ideas, and my wife had some specific things she wanted. Sugar lips met every one of those needs and went beyond many of them.
The decorations on the cake were AMAZING, the cake tasted fantastic, and overall my wife and I were extremely satisfied. So much so that we regularly attend their cupcake sales, and plan to once and a while splurge on one of their nicer cakes just for us.

We had paid for our cake in full when we hired them and a couple months later when I went to drop off my cake platter, topper and decor, I made a change to how I wanted the icing, which, unbeknownst to me, was cheaper than our original idea. They refunded $75 directly into my account that same day. They were prompt with the delivery and everyone was amazed that the cake was REAL! We love Sugarlips! They made the cake my fiance used for his proposal to me and they have made many cakes and cupcakes for us for numerous occassions. They made 120 cupcakes in 4 flavors and one top tier cake for us to cut at our wedding. The guests devoured the peanut butter with chocolate fudge and caramal apple cupcakes and we only had a few marble with butter cream frosting and red velvet with cream cheese frosting cupcakes left by the end of the night that our family happily finished off. Our top tier cake was caramel apple with a caramel butter cream and was delicious every day we ate it the week after our wedding. The top tier was even more beautiful than we had expected and the decorations on the cupcakes were adorable.

Melodie with Sugarlips was super accommodating. Although we never met and were planning the wedding from nearly 2,000 miles apart, she helped me work through my idea of making centerpiece wedding cakes. I figured it would either be a hit or a flop ... it turned out to be a HUGE hit thanks to Melodie! A few things that stuck out the most to me are:
1. She purchased matching 8in cake platters for my centerpieces - she could have been a stickler and made me provide them, but she didn't!
2. When I discussed my concerns regarding not having a cake tasting, she made the suggestion of almond cake with bravarian creame - I had no idea what that would taste like ... but I received nothing but compliments and texts from guests asking what kind of cake it was.
3. I changed my cake design at least 3 times, maybe 4. Melodie was super patient!
4. Melodie was able to create an amazing ASU themed grooms cake for us - it was a surprise for my husband and he loved the look and the taste (carrot cake).
I would recommend Sugarlips to any bride - even one who is planning from afar like me!

I cannot even begin to describe how happy I was with my wedding and groom's cake for my October wedding! My wedding was in October and we did our tasting in the spring. I had my heart set on a pumpkin flavored cake for fall and Melodie made the pumpkin in the heart of hot weather even though it was considered to be a seasonal flavor. It was so delicious so we booked her. Because we did our tasting so early in the year, we really did not know what we wanted our cake to look like. We only knew our flavors. When the wedding came closer, I had gone back in to Sugarlips with several photos from magazines on how I wanted my cake to look like. With each photo I had shown the staff, I was told reasons they could not duplicate exactly the pictures / choices, but not to worry and that they would still make it beautiful. I had described to them how I wanted my groom's cake to look like and became a litle worried in that the cake would not turn out how I envisioned. I feel really silly now in looking back that I was worried my cakes would not turn out! My wedding cake was even better than the picture I gave them from the magazine!! For my groom's cake, Melodie had duplicated exactly the label from a bottle of Captain Morgan rum and it was so detailed and perfectly done!!! I had found out later from our wedding coordinator at our venue that the staff in the kitchen was even taking pictures of the cakes because they were so amazed!!! Both of my cakes were so gorgeous and jaw dropping...not to mention they tasted amazing!! All of my guests were amazed at how wonderful they tasted and made comments all night long about how beautiful they were and how detailed they were! We will definitely be using Sugarlips again for all our cake needs, birthday, special events, etc.

Sugarlips Cakery made THE MOST delicious wedding cake I have ever tasted...lucky for me it just so happened to also be my wedding cake :-) From the first step walking in the shop I knew it was right. The store is incredibly cute, and very clean...which is always reassuring. I scheduled a time on their "tasting" days and was able to sit down with my lovely baker and try various options for the cake and discuss creative ideas. It was a great time, and I never felt rushed. By the end of my appointment, I had no doubt that Sugarlips was the best place I stumbled upon in my wedding search. The price was incredibly competitive, and definitely cheaper than other stores I had looked into, and the taste was not compromised. The cake looked beautiful, and I still have guests talking about how delicious it was. The cake was delivered to a location that most companies either refused to deliver to due to distance or decided to double the charge...and Sugarlips did it with no fuss! I called with small changes and never once was it an issue, and the service was always perfect. I give them many thanks!

We ordered 65 cupcakes and it came with the 'top tier' cake. We had our own specific detailed picture we wanted on it and it came out perfect, i nearly cried when i saw it. They also threw in some extra cupcakes 'just in case' because we were traveling with our cake. They allowed us to pick multiple flavors with no extra charges and the 3-D flames on our cupcakes were amazing!!

Cannot say enough about how awesome Melody at Sugarlips was to work with! She took an idea in my head and made an even better version in a cake. I loved my cake, it was freaking delicious and I got a ton of compliments on the unique design. If you want an extremely reasonably priced, contemporary cake, call Sugarlips!

Let me just say that Melody the owner of Sugarlips is the sweetest woman ever!! I changed my cake design about 5 times and she was super understanding each time. Our cake was delicious and it looked amazing! Everyone was raving about it days after. 110% professional and detailed service!

Melody did a great job on my cake. The design was exactly what I was looking for. The prices that I saw were great and the add-ons since mine was included in my venue costs were very reasonable. The cake also tasted great!

I knew as I was planning our reception that we would do cupcakes instead of cake...Melodie and Sugarlips Cakery were great to work with. This is a great cakery whose cakes are art masterpices. I opted for the cupcakes for my guests and a 10" cake for Jeff and I to cut (photo op). Great pricing...set-up and delivery. All of our guest LOVED the the cupcakes...I am so thankful to Sugarlips Cakery for all of their work...they helped to make our day very special! Thanks so much!

I absolutely loved my cake! I asked her to make it a focal point at my wedding and that is just what she did! It is the most delicious cake I've ever tasted. She was completely professional, on time to every meeting, she even made me a groom cake very last minute!! I actually used her for my baby shower too. Wouldn't use anyone else!!

The cake was delicious and they were really reasonably priced. It was less than $4.00 per slice which was much cheaper than the other places I priced out. I even made time to have some of my cake and it was wonderful. Very moist and good.

Sugarlips comes highly recommended for any cake needs you may have. The service, taste and quality are wonderful. They even made me a grooms cake that was perfect and a great surprise to my husband at the reception. Just remember to bring something to bring the leftover cake from the reception home in, as they don't supply any boxes for that. Other than that, my cakes were gorgeous!

I had a casual brunch wedding and used Sugar Lips Cakery for my wedding cake. Since it was a brunch they recommended Carrot Cake with cream cheese filling. I was very happy with that choice and received lots of compliments on my cake. Since I didn't want a traditional tiered cake they only charged me about $1.50 per slice. I took my flowers in a few days before the wedding and they arranged them perfectly on top. The cake tied in wonderful with all of the other wedding decorations and I was very happy with it. I recommend them for wedding or any other special occasion cakes. They are creative and easy to work with.

Melodie was so great and her cakes are delicious! i had a special design in mind that I saw on another company's ad, I went to the other company and they wanted $9 a slice!! I had a guestlist of 275!!! So I asked Melodie if she could do the design I wanted and what price it would be. She did what I asked at only $2.75/slice! and the cake tasted MUCH better than any other place we went! Definatly recommend this talented lady!

The detail of the white roses was stunning and the water fountain added just the right ambiance for such a lovely cake. The cake was awed by all and not much was left when are guests departed. The cake was just absolutley beautiful. We kind of made our own design for it and she just did an outstanding job. I was very very happy when I saw my cake and it was better than I expected. Not only id it look amazing but it was delicious as well.
