User2225088 Sent on 07/14/2015Judy - I cannot thank you enough for all you did for me to make my day 100% perfect.
I waited and waited on the cake/cupcakes until nearly 1 month before - I just couldn't decide. I had contacted Judy and then totally spaced it and by the time I came back to her, she was booked. It didn't matter though, she squeezed me in and made my cake and cupcakes everything I asked for. She met with me on a Sunday (it was the only time I had as I live in Phoenix) and answered all my questions and even brought LARGE samples for me to try. They were even big enough for me to bring some home to my fiance to try! We got a lemon raspberry mini cake just for cutting (which seriously was DELICIOUS) along with Pink Lemonade, Vanilla and Chocolate cupcakes. We got a few too many - but there were people eating 2, sometimes even 3 because they were so delicious. They delivered on time, set up everything perfectly and I never ever had to stress. If you are getting married in a place where they can deliver - don't hesitate to call. They will do a perfect job and you won't have to worry about a thing!!! -
User1810337 Sent on 09/14/2014Our cake was so delicious! We ended up choosing strawberry lemonade with fresh strawberries with Kathy. We thought the flavor was so unique and yummy. The design was just what I wanted as well. While working with Sugared N Iced Marla ended up taking over and was great to work with too. She also made cupcakes for the bachelorette party, everyone loved the crazy design my mother requested, she did such a fabulous job bringing the idea to life. -

User1089427 Sent on 02/11/2013The owner helped my fiance and I design our own cake, and she followed through to provide exactly what we wanted. We booked months in advance, and the cake was delivered to my venue without me having to think or worry about it. I just showed up to my reception and there was a beautiful, yummy cake on display! The prices are about what you would expect for a wedding cake- no real "small town" discounts here. But a year after my wedding, I am not thinking of the cost... I just remember a great cake :)

Nicole Sent on 11/21/2016I had contacted the owner the morning of our appointment letting her know if it would be okay to be twenty minutes late. The owner then responded stating that it was fine and her first client before us had been running late as well. I gave her my phone number (this was all through email because there is no phone number during the weekends) and asked her to please call or email me if anything changes. We came from Phoenix and drove two hours to get there and arrived 27 minutes late (seven minutes later than intended). Upon entering we were told that she had left "a while ago to deliver a cake".
The owner called me about ten minutes later and told us that she was sorry she had to leave to deliver a cake and offered to meet us later in the day. I told her that I was disappointed she hadn't called me to let me know the appointment was canceled or told us to reschedule earlier since we were coming from out of town. She then responded with "I run a business and have more than one client". She was VERY rude with me on the phone and I notified her that we wouldn't be using her services.
We understand that we were late to our appointment but things would have been completely different if she would have called us to tell us she was leaving instead of not contacting us at all. Then when she shot an attitude at me over the phone about how we weren’t her only clients and that she had a business to run, I knew we wouldn’t be using someone like that on our big day.
Let me state that we are very simple and laid back people and are very aware that we are not the only couple in Arizona set to get married.
This shop has many great reviews about their cake services and it is all probably true. But I am not okay with the owner’s unprofessional manner and lack of contact with me. So just be aware that she might not contact you regarding your appointment and if you are going to be late RESCHEDULE because she might sit there, belittle you and act very sarcastic.Sugared n' Iced's reply:
Hi Nicole. I am very sorry that this has turned out this way. I do not feel your review was accurate or fair. You did contact us with less than an hours notice, to advise that you would be about 20 minutes late, yet I waited for you, for almost 40 minutes. Your appointment was at 1 pm and you wrote me an email at 1:37, and you were still not at the meeting place. I did have another client waiting on their cake, so I apologize for not being ok with making that client wait for you.
I called you 4 minutes after I left, when I arrived at the bakery and the first thing you stated was that you were disappointed.
I explained that I had to deliver another cake and would meet up with you directly after, but instead you were rude and told me you would let me know.
This is the first I've heard back from you.
Again, I'm sorry it didn't work out, however, I don't feel that there was anything else that I could have done to make up that 40 minutes. All my clients are important, but I won't make one wait for the other. Good luck to you. Lisa -

Brianna Sent on 01/20/2017First of all...the tasting and consultation is NOT free...it will cost $20, which comes out of your cake total if you book with her.
I drove up from Phoenix for my tasting and she did not show up where we were supposed to meet. Instead, she e-mailed that something came up and she was going to be a little late and to meet her at the mall. Overall, the tasting was fine except she did not have one of the flavors that I requested to try and said that she would mail me a cupcake.
A couple weeks later, I emailed her about booking our wedding cake through her and also about the cupcake she said she would send. She said she would get back after Christmas, which was fine. I did not hear back from her at all and emailed again after New Year's. She could not remember who I was and asked for my address again for the cupcake. I responded with the requested information and she said she would send that. It has been 3 weeks and I have not heard anything. I am sincerely disappointed in the lack of organization and communication and will be going elsewhere for our wedding cake.Sugared n' Iced's reply:

First I appreciate the feedback, however I don't believe most of it is accurate. You are correct that I made some mistakes on your contract, that I've offered to fix. I have even offered to make your wedding cake for free.
I did send a dozen strawberry filled cupcakes to your address. I will also send you a refund for the $20 tasting fee. Just so that you are aware, I run a very small bakery that has only been in business for 7 months. I am still working out the bugs. The consults take several hours out of my day, with preparing and planning with a client for an hour. I also drive an hour to meet with my clients. Though I appreciate the time with my clients, I do have to pay the salary of the person doing these consults and for the time and supplies needed. I do apply the $20 consult fee to your booking. I'm not sure why you decided to go with us if you didn't want to pay the consult fee, in the first place. You didn't voice any issue with it until now.
You consult was moved because you wanted to meet earlier than originally requested and I had to rush your order. The original consult meeting was scheduled at a new coffee shop which was 30 minutes further North, for you to drive, so I suggested that we meet in Prescott. Since I had to drive that extra 30 minutes to keep you from having to, I was a couple minutes late, but technically I was early since you changed the meeting time. Still my fault, but at the time you didn't have a problem with it, since I was accommodating you.
