Greatest Wedding Ever
There aren’t enough good things to say about Jennifer and her team at Sugar Creek! Of course we’ve always loved the club, but meeting Jennifer and hearing her vision of the weddings that she’s done, we could not pass up the opportunity to have our wedding at SCCC.
Jennifer is professional, patient, creative, organized and a JOY to work with. ❤️ Followed by a gorgeous venue, we are beyond pleased with the ultimate result which Jennifer helped us coordinate and would absolutely recommend anyone planning a wedding to check it out. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. Jennifer was with us every step of the way with an answer for anything!
Classy venue, professional staff, incredible vendors, and a perfect one stop shop for your event.

Perfect Venue
Michael was amazing to work with and the venue was everything we wanted. The food was amazing and I can't wait to see all of the photos. -

Outstanding service
I recently celebrated my husband’s 80th birthday at the Sugar Creek Country Club Ballroom located in Sugarland, Texas. This was a surprise party and it involved coordination between both my children, myself, Jennifer Jenkins ( Director of Catering & Events) and David Klotz (Catering Manager) My children and I are very detail oriented. Further, since my my son lives in Zurich and daughter in Cincinnati it involved setting up telephone meetings, keeping different time zones in mind. Jennifer was our prime contact at the Club, and she patiently worked with the three of us to finalize every detail. Besides Jennifer and David, Chef Weli at the Club was so cooperative, patient and had excellent suggestions for food items. He was even willing to try out new food items and took the trouble to research recipes and discuss them with me. It was fun working with him. At the party every detail was perfect, the food was excellent! Everything was on time as per my children’s flow chart.
I must also compliment the Senior Management of Sugar Creek Country Club for the fine training program that they have introduced for their staff where each and every member of their staff had such a great “willing to please attitude” which is a must in the hospitality industry but, unfortunately, very rare to find.
Thanks to Jennifer, David, Chef Weli, the bar tender, and the wait staff our party was a huge success! Our guests are still talking about our party.
My family and I cannot thank Jennifer and the staff enough for making this event so memorable for us.

Beautiful venue! Highly Recommend!
We booked our venue and reception here and everything was sooo beautiful! We had the pleasure to work with Jennifer J. as our wedding coordinator for our wedding. She was very friendly and communicated very well. She would keep us up to date on things and make sure everything went smoothly. She made the day go by stress free. I would highly recommend her to help coordinate your event. The venue was beautiful! It had so many windows so there was a lot of natural lighting and the space was perfect for the amount of guests we had. The decorations and the space was perfect! Don't let me get started on their food. OMG there food is sooo delicious. We picked the package that had buffet rather than plated meals and all of our guests loved that they had so many options and loved the food. We got to do a testing ahead of the wedding and the food was better than expected. I would highly recommend this country club for your next event! I will definitely come back if I ever have another event to plan! -

Sugar Creek Country Club
We had our wedding reception at the SCCC, and it was an absolute dream. The location and overall look of the venue were stunning. Our reception took place in the ballroom, which was beautifully lit with tall windows and open space. The view from the window overlooks the golf course, which adds to the beauty. Jennifer went above and beyond to ensure our event was planned to the last detail. She was a pleasure to work with, with a very warm personality, and made us feel comfortable. In addition, she allowed us to make our perfect customized package to fit all of our needs. The event itself ran smoothly; everything was exactly how we planned and even better than we had imagined, all thanks to Jennifer!! The staff, customer service, and professionalism were exceptional. The food was incredible, and we continue to have people talk about how good it was.
All in all, this was the best choice we ever made. We are so lucky to have found this venue to hold our reception. It was a dream come true, and we could not be more grateful.
We HIGHLY recommend SCCC to anyone interested; it will be well worth your time! We definitely plan to come back for an event in the future.

Great location, staff and food.
Had a wedding reception at Sugar Creek Country Club during this pandemic. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had the best experience. We had many guests tell us how good all the food was. We had not one problem and Jennifer and her staff made us feel so welcome. Jennifer kept us on track for the timed events then left us alone to dance the night away. It was beyond perfect. I highly recommend any type of event to be held there at the club. -

A Beautiful Venue for a Hassle - Free Wedding
My daughter's wedding was beautiful! Jennifer and the staff worked with us to have a stress-free seated dinner for 150. The food was delicious, the venue beautiful and the event staff very flexible in working within our budget. -

Fantastic-beyond our dreams
We just had our daughter's wedding at Sugar Creek Country Club. I cannot tell you how pleased we all were with everything! From start to finish Jennifer Jenkins was so great to work with. She is top notch, a class act! She worked hard to accommodate our needs and desired. She was helpful with information on things we did not know and always greeted us with a smile, and was patient and kind. -

Absolutely impressed and incredibly thankful to Sugar Creek Country Club for helping us host our wedding reception! Our original venue was damaged during Hurricane Harvey, so we relocated to Sugar Creek Country Club. Jennifer was the best coordinator! She made the transition very smooth and was so kind the entire way. Responsive and quick with only 2 months to prepare. I like to think of her as our wedding fairy godmother! She is a true blessing. Sugar Creek Country Club was an amazingly beautiful venue with awesome views from the ballroom. We had a perfect night and are so fortunate to have worked with Jennifer and Sugar Creek Country Club. Highly recommend! -

The staff & especially the director Jennifer were fantastic! We had our daughter's ceremony and reception at the club. It couldn't have gone better. As mother of the bride, I can honestly say they know how to host weddings. From the decor to the wonderful food. We've gotten so many compliments from family & friends on what a great time they had. I would definitely recommend Sugar Creek Country Club! -

Our wedding reception was a huge success! We were very fortunate to work with Jennifer Jenkins and the staff at SCCC! Jennifer is a great wedding coordinator and she was very professional, flexible, and attentive throughout the whole wedding process! She was present throughout the duration of the event and as a couple we were able to focus on having fun and spending a great time with our family and friends. The ballroom is elegant and we especially liked the large windows, that provided a view to the golf course, and the chandeliers. Thank you Jennifer and the staff at SCCC! -

The Director of Catering & Events was so pleasant to work with. Her friendliness, flexibility & professionalism definitely have made a difference in the celebration of our grandson’s first birthday, making it a memorable one, thoroughly enjoyed by all our friends!

Kimberly and the staff at SCCC made everything run so smoothly.
The ballroom looked beautiful and all of our guests were impressed with the food and the venue.
They have good preferred vendors that have worked with them for a while which made for easy planing.
Kimberly was accommodating and responded to emails promptly. She let us test our up-lighting ahead of time and was available to meet when I dropped by unannounced.
Our wedding had less than 90 people and so we had their best menu choices and it was delicious.
We only had our reception here so I cannot comment on the ceremony space. -

I hosted my engagement party at the Sugar Creek Country Club in April 2015. Kim, my coordinator, couldn't have been more helpful. Kim and her staff's attention to detail resulted in a wonderful evening.
She was responsive to all my phone calls and emails and ensured that the reception went off without a hitch. Wonderful location, venue, and staff for any wedding or engagement party. -

I truly can't express much in words on how grateful I am towards the staff at sugar creek. Chelsea I must make mention of, is such an amazing woman that loves her job and very easy to work with ...She is indeed professional and carries a great personality that makes you want to visit SCCC Every time . My guests loved everything about my wedding, the food was finger licking, wish I had eaten more. If I have to do it all over again I wouldn't change anything.... I started working with Chelsea at Sugar Creek back in April of 2013 for my January 2014 wedding and she was SUCH a huge help every step of the way! She went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding was everything we wanted it to be at a cost we were comfortable with. Meeting with her every once in a while during the planning was like talking to a good friend and it was so nice to leave feeling so at ease with the decisions we were making. Chelsea was always able to give me suggestions on what would work best and look best after working other events and I can't thank her enough for everything she did for us!! We also have received compliments on the food that we chose to have served so I recommend their catering staff completely as well. The country club itself is gorgeous and created a beautiful backdrop for our day but the service Chelsea provided over the entire planning process was truly what made it phenomenal. -

I absolutely loved Sugar Creek! It is a beautiful country club and offers a great scene for pictures. We were on a budget and they worked for us and were able tailor a package for us. Jacqui is great to work with and extremely responsive, which was very important since I was planning our wedding from Georgia. Did I mention the food? Delicious! -

The coordinator changed after we booked there and I began to freak out, but Kristina and Lisa were unbelievable and completely flexible and responsive to any of our needs. Sugar Creek is a beautiful venue and it was exactly as I pictured in my head. Thank you!!

My wedding turned out beautiful. The staff was great! Zoe and Erica were very helpful through the whole process. We had the fajita buffet and it was plenty of food and we received so may compliments on the wedding. I am so happy I choose them. -

Amazing Experience!
I wish I could relieve our Wedding day over and over again! Jennifer and the entire staff at Sugar Creek totally exceeded my expectations for my wedding. The venue was beautiful, the price was affordable, the food was delicious, the servers were attentive, and my day went flawlessly! I highly recommend using Sugar Creek for all your wedding reception needs! It was an amazing day, thanks to an amazing staff and venue! I'm still smiling from ear to ear! -

Absolutely wonderful! We loved the venue and we loved our Coordinator, Jennifer! She helped us stay on top of everything that we needed to do, so by the time our wedding day came, we were prepared and ready to go, without any additional stresses! Sugar Creek Country Club was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. The staff is so helpful and bends over backwards to accomodate your every need and request. Tania and her assistant Christina let me store all the stuff for the receptoin in their office two weeks before the wedding. They layed out everything on the tables, set up my guest book table, and reception decoratoins with as much attention to detail as I myself would have given it. They really made my reception beautiful.
My husband and I were on a budget for the wedding and needed to keep to the minimum reception cost at SCCC. Tania helped us itemize the packages and cut thing that we didn't really need to make the wedding fit in the budget. My husband also wanted a particular variety of beer served at the wedding with they special ordered for him. Their food is delicious also.
I only have a couple of problems with SCCC. First, the caterting department is a little difficult to get in touch with and tends to be very slow to respond to phone calls and rarely responds to email at all. They also had a few staff changes while we plannd our wedding. This lead to a sticky situation where we had been told a few things (most regarding the price of an open bar) by the first catering director only to have them change on us a month or so before the wedding. They took care of it very nicely though and made sure that we were still in the budget. It was a stressful couple of days, but it ended great. -

We had a great experience with SCCC. GREAT VALUE, beautiful lobby, ballroom and overall look.
Our ceremony was held outside and it was just beautiful. They have great packages with cake, DJ, food and drink included and it was all delicious and wonderful!!! We booked early and was offered 8 rounds of golf which later they renigged on, it wasn't in writing so I think we ended up with 2 or 4 free rounds of golf? Anyway, it was all great!!! -

We started working with Lisa Bub at SCCC and that is the ONLY reason this venue didn't receive 5/5 stars. Had we worked with Chelsea the entire time, I would be able to give a full 5 stars. Lisa was very unresponsive and actually downright rude during one of our site visits. Once Lisa was no longer working for SCCC, Chelsea took over and made our event an enormous success. Chelsea was very friendly and accommodating. She went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and special. We were even late to our tasting, but she never got ruffled. No matter what we asked of her or changed, she took it in stride. We love Chelsea! The venue was GORGEOUS! we used the house decorations and they were stunning. The room was clean and tidy. Tables were moved moments before our event started to accommodate us. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. -

Sugar Creek was amazing. Chelsea, the catering manager that worked with us was incredibly helpful. She had a ton of good suggestions that ended up saving us money, and she was a very kind and genuine person to work with. The venue itself was beautiful, and the food was amazing. Overall a great pick for anyone having a wedding. -

Chelsea was a huge help and answered all of my questions about the venue. The facility was beautiful and my reception was perfect. The lighting of the ballroom was perfect and my photographer said that the natural light was the best for pictures. -

I loved my wedding it turned out perfect, but it was a year of headaches. Zoe is a ***** she makes promises she can’t keep. We had to argue with her a lot, sorry we were on a budget! Zoe left the week before my wedding which freaked me out; but it worked out in the end and my final bill was lower than Zoe had said. So, Zoe leaving helped.
I loved how their packages included so much, so I didn’t have to search for cakes, DJ, etc... I used their centerpieces and just added rose petals by Suzanne’s Flowers. Everyone loved the reception we had there was perfect, and I don't regret choosing Sugar Creek. The food was perfect, it was beautiful, & classy. They did listen to what I wanted and everything was set up right when we arrived.
Like I said my main complaint was Zoe which is gone now. The prices were high, but best I could find in Sugar Land near our church (St. Laurence). Also, we talked them down on prices dont settle brides :)
I wish I could have eaten the appetizers we looked forward to those, but my husband and I didn’t get to have any. Also, during the cake cutting I had to pretty much yell to get the country club to come help me... I didn’t know how to cut a wedding cake lol. Also, the seating arrangement was so off. The tables were not exactly like the chart we made. But, it worked out in the end! -

Sugar Creek did a really nice job and their place is beautiful. The only negative I had is that my husband and I did not receive any appetizers while we were taking pictures and did not get a take-home plate when we left. This I would not have really noticed except Lisa (the manager) pointed out during our talks that she would make sure this was available since we would most likely not have time to eat (which is true). Other than that, she did a great job and we had a great time. -

Sugar Creek Country Club is a beautiful venue. Our wedding was outdoors and I had a great time most of the night. I loved how our package included so much, so I didn’t have to search for cakes, DJ, etc... Everyone said the venue pn the green was gorgeous and they loved the reception. The food was delicious and everything was mostly set up when we arrived (I had a lot of DIY projects that my friends helped with).
My biggest complaint and frustration was that our coordinator left during the wedding and the room was very hot. We could not find anyone who seemed in charge other than the servers which seemed really unprofessional to me. All in all, I think we got a lot for what we paid and the wedding was sweet and fun. I just wonder why service the day of (the most important day) slacked off so much. -

We met a the assistant, Jacqui, a year before the wedding. She made all these promises to us and made us feel like we were getting a good deal. After we signed the contract, she told us that the club was being renovated. We had told her that the reason we wanted to sign there was because we loved the old world look of the inside of the club (hardwood floors, old wallpaper, etc). She showed us the newly renovated board room which was an ugly and boring gray. We asked her if the rest of the club was to look like this, because if it was, then we wanted to void the contract. She went and asked her supervisor and told us that the rest of the club was just getting a "facelift" by refinishing the floors and changing the curtains, etc. All minor changes. We decided to stick with the contract. After the renovations were done, I went back to the club and there was a new assistant and the entire club was now the exact same as the board room (carpet and tile). The Catering Head, Lisa Bub, came to meet me and I told her what Jacqui had promised. She told me "Renovations are going to happen wherever you go, and you should have expected this." I reiterated what Jacqui had told me and she said, "Well all we changed were the walls and the floors."Isn't that an ENTIRE ROOM? She was rude and unprofessional and insulted me a few times calling me "adverse to change". We decided to just stick with the Club because of the timing. Then the new assistant Chelsea was hired. Chelsea was nice, and promised me that she would be by my side for most of the reception. I never saw her on the day of except when she offered to get me a drink. After 15 minutes of waiting, I got it myself. To top it off, my father caught one of the servers stealing our prime rib and hiding it in the closet. The only saving grace is that the price was inexpensive for what we got, their contracted vendors are great, and Chelsea (the new assistant caterer) was nice and worked with us. -

Beware of hidden price
Beware of HIDDEN COST! Everything is business to them in the end.
For instance, we told them since day 1 that we want halal food. Suddenly a month before the wedding before the food tasting - they told us the price for HALAL food is more than regular food. They increase the price. Even though in restodepot meat price is the same. This sudden increase in price is out of our budget. They "helped" decrease the price to $2 - $3, but still this is after we "negotiate" with them.
During the day of the event, my in law requested to have 20 extra chairs. But wasn't told about the $1000 price just by having the 20 chairs. How can you have cooked 20 people extra food during the wedding event occasion itself? A day after the wedding ends, wedding organizer emailed just my dad and my mom ( who is from oversees) - she didn't email my in laws or myself - about this $1000 price increase. Hidden price.
During the wedding event, there were servers who clean the plates. They took out the plates - before the people finish eating them! As such, our guests have to grab another plate - and grab additional food - and can run out of food in the end.
