Sugar Beach Events catered my wedding at Maui Pineapple Chapel in June. My guests are STILL talking about the delicious food that was served! I was so impressed with the entire process—they were very communicative throughout planning, responding promptly to my questions via my planner. Our tasting was really thorough and beautifully presented. We did choose a few of the dishes, but what really impressed me was that they agreed to serve a dish that was not included in the tasting, nor did it appear on their online menu. I really wanted Kalbi ribs on my wedding day and they agreed to make it especially for us! My guests got to choose between a really delicious fish dish and the ribs and everyone said it was absolutely divine. On wedding day, I was really impressed by the staff that was in attendance. While I was getting touched up before family photos, a very sweet staff member came to the bridal suite to make sure I was able to eat one of the passed appetizers since I wouldn’t get much time during cocktail hour. During dinner, everyone got plenty to eat and my guests were raving about the food. I knew at the tasting that I was making the right decision in hiring Sugar Beach Events to cater my wedding, but they exceeded every expectation I had! Thank you so much for giving my guests delicious food on my wedding day!

Our magical day went so smoothly from start to finish. Kristen responded to our many questions immediately, sometimes late in the evening.

The grounds were impeccable and oh that sunset view for our special day. The interior, bar and grounds are so stunning. If you are planning a wedding or special event, this is the spot.

The bridal suite was so tastefully done, providing a professional steamer and wet bar for make up or hand washing.

The champagne list was amazing as well as the desserts created by Chef Lee. . The sever was spot on, making our guests feel comfortable and safe.

Sugar Beach events will always hold a sacred place in our hearts!

Sugar Beach Events was at the top of our list to choose for our destination wedding before the pandemic. It was a lot of discussion and planning to decide whether it would be a good idea to hold a wedding during this time. I'm so glad we went for it and everything fell in to place. The location, service and people are all amazing. It was hard to pass this up. We plan to visit during their off days to join in their other services. I highly recommend SBE for your next destination wedding.

My husband and I recently got married at Sugar Beach. We had such an amazing experience from the start working with Kristen and Ashley. We got engaged in Kauai and when we came back to California and looked at some venues and we could not find any that felt right, so we decided to look at venues in Hawaii. We finally decided on Sugar beach after reading so many good reviews, as well as speaking with Ashley and looking at everything they were going to offer us. As we all know its so difficult to book and make decisions from so far away, but Kristen walked us through every step and gave us a time line and advice as we started moving forward. She made the process seem seamless.
Our day from start to finish was absolutely beautiful. We cannot imagine having to have gotten married anywhere else. The venue is beautiful, the setting for the ceremony is breathtaking, the food is delicious and as I have said the service is amazing! We would definitely recommend this venue to any person who is considering it. 

We had our wedding there on 10/11/2019. It was more beautiful than we ever could have imagined! Kristen was such a blessing!! She helped make our vision come to life. She was so attentive and responded to our many many emails so promptly. She made the wedding planning process so much easier. Sugar Beach has a list of vendors that you choose from, and ever vendor was beyond amazing!!! Kristen and the whole staff made that day so magical and we can’t say thank you enough!! 💜❤️

Sugar Beach did the cake for our wedding, and it was delicious! Not only was it simple, elegant and beautiful but everyone loved the taste. Fantastic!

Thank you so incredibly much to Kristen and the Team @ Sugar Beach Events, My wedding was a month ago, and my family and friends have not stopped talking about the amazing time they had at my wedding. They were so impressed by EVERYTHING, the food, drinks, friendliness of staff, and most important, the location. What first caught my eye, when researching wedding venues, was the breathtaking view @ Sugar Beach Events and the moment i saw it in person i knew it was it! Kristen and Gabrielle were amazing, they made me like i was their priority each time i reached out to them, always getting back to me same day, no matter what! I thought planning a wedding from the stats would be a challenge, but it was quite the opposite. I never once felt overwhelmed or stressed out, in any way. I can honestly say, Kristen, the best wedding planner ever, made my dream wedding absolutely perfect, and i can not thank her enough. She is so considerate, has an amazing personality, and truly cares about her clients. There is not one thing i would change. If someone if thinking about having a destination wedding, then Sugar Beach Events is their place, they will not be disappointed.

The entire process was easy and enjoyable from the minute I reached out to Sugar Beach Events for our wedding- not to mention BEAUTIFUL! Looking back on the wedding day, it seems like something out of a magazine! Kristen, Gabrielle and Ashley were so quick to respond and were beyond patient with our 10,000 questions and requests. Kristen always took the time to listen to my vision and her suggestions exceeded expectations. The day of the wedding, every single Sugar Beach Events staff person and vendor was amazing, attentive, and professional. It was more than we could have ever imagined! Not to mention the quality of food that was served- every item was delicious and perfect. We wholeheartedly recommend the team at Sugar Beach Events!

We had a small, intimate wedding there and the team was perfect!! They took care of every request and was very easy to work with! They made our special day truly unique! We would definitely suggest the minister Tino too!!

Take this from someone who has planned a lot of large-scale events in her career - Sugar Beach Events team is on another level in their professionalism, attentiveness, and execution mastery.

We had an absolutely perfect wedding from top to bottom. SO many people kept asking if I was nervous or anxious throughout the wedding planning process and every time, my honest answer was "not at all." Kristen and Gabrielle were extremely responsive and followed up with us every step of the way to make sure we were on track with our side of the planning. The day-of coordination was on point. Kristen gave us honest and prompt feedback on all the vendors when we were going through all our options, and she was transparent about the pricing and offerings so we never had any doubts or fuzziness about the process and what we were paying.

The venue: it's a perfect setting for a wedding - so much better than a giant hotel/resort where you're being gawked at by hundreds of hotel guests and you're just one of thousands of guests the venue may be serving at any given moment. At Sugar Beach, YOU and your event are the ONLY thing the whole venue is focused on, and the setting makes for a perfectly intimate event just for you and your guests. The lawn and the beach frame the sunset perfectly for the most gorgeous photos. The amenities in the house - like the bridal suite, the upstairs balcony, even the bathrooms - make the day-of experience super seamless (you don't have to go back and forth between the salon, the dress, etc).

The food was excellent - there are so many options to choose from and they are all delicious. Again, having the entire kitchen and chef (CHEF LEE FOR THE WIN) dedicated to your wedding has so many advantages - in how flexible they are with the menu options and attentiveness to each individual guest's dietary restrictions. This was definitely a highlight that our guests raved about after the wedding.

Overall, I can't think of a single thing that was missing or lacking in the wedding - it truly was a wedding of our dreams and we are forever grateful for the Sugar Beach Events team for all their hard work to make it happen. MAHALO!!

I don’t even know where to start. The place is absolutely stunning, the chef is extremely talented, and the staff were attentive and wonderful. We were lucky enough to have great weather the entire time, it was a little windy, but we were able to have our ceremony and dinner outside, with a perfect sunset. Darren from Bliss worked with Sugar Beach to get our menu situated, let me tell you, people are still talking about that food. We didn’t want to make people chose one protein, so we ended up going with a buffet that included fish, steak, and pork. Chef Lee threw down and laid out a mean spread of food. The deserts were phenomenal. We should have brought some sweatpants for later. Kristin, the captain, was super sweet and attentive, there to help Ayron and I out if we needed something. To everyone at Sugar Beach Events that helped that day, Misa, Nik, Todd, Benjamin, Tatiana and Melanie, thank you. Our day was what it was because of your help. It was a day Ayron and I will never forget. We will be forever grateful!

My husband and I chose Sugar Beach Events for our destination wedding about 8 months before the big day. The communication with Kristen from the point of interest all the way up until the day of the wedding (and beyond) was impeccable! I couldn't have asked for a sweeter, more accommodating wedding planner. She and I conceptualized a beautiful design and the outcome was so much more than I could have ever expected. Having only seen pictures of the venue before arriving in Maui, there were obvious nerves when we pulled up to the venue for the first time for our rehearsal. To say that we were pleased is an incredible understatement! We were in awe of the ambiance and the views. It was exactly what I had hoped it would be. Our wedding day truly was the best day ever, and I couldn't have asked for a better location and team to work with!

Beyond the obvious reasons to choose SBE (the beautiful facilities and grounds, and the amazing food options), one should know that SBE truly takes care of their couples. They're obviously busy year round, but I never felt like Kristen (the in-house coordinator) was too busy for me. She truly made me feel like my wedding day should be extra special and that she would do whatever she could to ensure that. She patiently answered countless emails (note: she is very timely in her responses); helped me think of ways to stay within budget; received and inspected my favor delivery (we had personalized coca-cola bottles shipped to SBE a month prior to the wedding); and handled all the little details that most people probably take for granted. And its not just Kristen; the entire SBE staff was amazing on our wedding day! They were professional, polite, and attentive. The vendors they work with are all first class. The food didn't just look good....it was super duper delicious too! Everything about our wedding day came out perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better day, a better coordinator, or a better place to have our wedding.

This place was amazing for our wedding. Kristen and her team, led by Jodie, did all that they could to make our day easy, fun, and everything we wanted. The beach and back lawn setting are naturally beautiful and the indoor/outdoor effect of the main room was lovely for pictures. The package we purchased for our small group (21 people) was perfect - a stunning location, a delicious 3 course dinner, a lovely cake, and friendly bar service all night. Our guests were treated so well by the servers and bartender, all led by Kristen. On top of that Kristen handled all the details with the florist, the musician, the officiate, and the cost of everything was all rolled together. We planned the entire wedding by e-mail, which was so convenient with our jobs on the mainland. Every detail was handled and the team was flexible to my wants. I highly recommend Sugar Beach Events!

We are so happy that we choose Sugar Beach Events! My husband and I knew we wanted a destination beach wedding but planning it from thousands of miles away made us very uncertain. However, we are so thankful when we found Sugar Beach Events and started working with Kristen. She was amazing and so easy to work with! As busy as we were, Kristen made sure we were on top of it all. She answered all of our questions (we had million questions!) and reassured us everything would work out. Our experience from start to finish was great. From the initial consultation via email to the day after our wedding (guests left items). We loved it all!

We were both a bit nervous on the our wedding day (hoping nothing goes wrong) but knowing Kristen was there made it all better. We felt like we did not have to worry. We can truly say that our wedding day was our kind of perfect and we would not have changed anything. From the beautiful venue and delicious food to the amazing staff members. Our guests raved about the food (especially the appetizers and popcorn).

All the staff members at Sugar Beach Events were very welcoming and kind to us and our guests. It seemed that they knew how overwhelmed the bride and groom could be and it felt as though they were looking out for us. During the reception, we found our sweetheart table filled with appetizers that we had not gotten a chance to try since we were busy talking to our family, friends and taking photos. They also added a very sweet touch to our special day by sending us off with two slices of our wedding cake, that we also did not get a chance to eat.

The place were staying at was only a feet away and so we took a little bit longer with our loud group to leave the venue but we did not feel rushed at all.


We cannot express how grateful we are for the amazing experience! We would like to thank Sugar Beach Events and the staff members for making our wedding day extra special. The venue felt magical and the staff was the perfect touch. I am getting a bit emotional just writing this review. Again, thank you!

Kristen and her team are so professional and timely! I truly enjoyed my whole experience and couldn’t have done it without their help. It’s not easy planning a wedding from another state but they assisted with every detail to make it as simple as possible. Highly recommend!!

This venue and entire experience was an absolute dream! First off, the pictures don't even do it justice! When my mom and I were scouting out venues the moment that we walked in we knew right away this place was it, we ended up canceling the rest of our appointments that day because this place just had everything we were looking for. Food and drinks were at the top of our list and Chef Lee's creativity with her food presentation was one of my favorite things about this place, not to mention how delicious everything was. Our guests would not stop talking about how amazing the food was and how beautiful this venue is. We loved how we were able to transition to different areas of the venue and yet everything was still so intimate. Kristen was a DREAM and I mean DREAM to work with! I am a planner myself so for me I always had a ton of questions throughout the whole process and Kristen was always so responsive and patient. Everyone kept telling me how calm I was leading up to the wedding and that is because I knew I was in good hands with her. Not once did I ever feel stressed out, Kristen took care of it all and knew exactly what I wanted (even when we forgot the map to bustle my dress, Kristen figured it out like a pro!). I wish I had the time to go up to every single person on staff and give them a huge hug because they were just so amazing! Not once did I have to go to the bar to refill my drink as the servers knew exactly what I was drinking and made sure I always had a fresh drink. Now that is service! Chef Lee- you have created and mastered the absolute perfect experience that a wedding couple should have when they get married. Your venue is absolutely gorgeous and yet it feels so intimate. Your staff is top notch and you truly made us feel like we were the only couple getting married at your venue and we weren't just another number. Kristen - Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything that you did! I wish I could work with you all the time!!

What an incredible and gorgeous venue! Sugar Beach Events was perfect all the way from the beginning with the contacting and planning to the actual wedding day with the execution and delivery...I could not have picked a better venue! Best decision ever! I chose Sugar Beach Events not only because of its stunning location, but because Kristen was extremely responsive (usually responds in minutes to hours!), which is so important when it comes to planning a destination wedding! Kristen is absolutely amazing. She is extremely understanding, supportive, organized, and experienced; she was committed to our wedding and went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was everything we wanted, and it was! Our wedding day was PERFECT and surpassed our expectations! The staff were all so friendly and professional. They were super attentive during the entire wedding and always made sure that all water glasses were constantly filled. We were so appreciative that there was a plate of appetizers left on our sweetheart table. The bridal suite was gorgeous and was stocked with water and any last minute things you can think of. The vendors that were recommended were PHENOMENAL and I really felt they were all the best out of the best! I was so blown away by every aspect of the wedding and could not have asked for anything more! Not having done a food tasting or cake tasting prior to the wedding, I was worried, but the food and cake were outstanding! Everyone raved about the food and cake! I am so happy I chose Sugar Beach Events, and I highly highly recommend it! I cannot say enough great things about Kristen and Sugar Beach Events. They truly care about you and want you to have the best day of your life. Food:
Being major foodies, my husband and I were excited to piece our wedding menu together. To us, food played an important role of our wedding. We really wanted our family to be blown away and Sugar Beach events did just that. They were innovative with the appetizers, from taste to presentation they wowed and captivated all of us. From our first encounter at our taste testing up until our big day we were beyond satisfied with every bite. Our family will be raving about this for years to come! Much compliments to the chef!

Bar Service:
John was our talented and friendly bartender. He provided us a list of cocktails to choose from and we went with two. Both were delicious and refreshing! John not only made awesome cocktails but he was friendly and made conversation with our guests throughout the night. He was very attentive and made sure we had a full beverage at all times! He was also considerate of those who did not drink alcohol and was able to create mocktails for those guests! Awesome job JOHN!

Servers:
The servers were not only attentive but also very professional. Being that we had a more intimate wedding I wanted to make sure they were all going to be taken care of; and they sure were! Our waters were constantly filled, the appetizers were being passed and the dinner service was amazing from start to finish. They were all so friendly and our families definitely noticed how awesome they all were. You guys killed it and I would recommend you all to anyone and everyone!! Mahalo for the epic experience!

We had a wonderful experience with Sugar Beach. Chef Lee and her wonderful team put together an incredible charcuterie spread and family style dinner for us for our wedding. We are huge foodies and the meal was so important to us. They have world class food and world class service. Everything was executed seamlessly and helped us feel so at ease on our wedding night. From the poached fish to the chimichurri sauce (our special request) we still have guests talking to us about the food and how much they loved it. Thank you so much!

Incredible venue. Our entire wedding was gorgeous because this venue was absolutely beautiful. We had 85 people and it was comfortable and spacious. The indoor/outdoor option is awesome. The food was delicious and we did creme brûlée instead of cake and it was delicious as well. The staff is courteous and accommodating. Spendy but well worth the money spent for the best day of your life in a beautiful place!

This was more than we had hoped for in our dream wedding and reception venue! Everything, literally everything went off without any issues. From day one of contacting the venue, they were very responsive and super helpful! We started working with Denise and she was amazing! She did leave in the midst of our planning, but handed the reigns over to Kristen who was just as amazing! It was an easy transition, with no bumps! Kristen did an incredible job with every aspect! We couldn’t have asked for more! This was such a perfect evening for us. She made my vision come to life! Absolutely stunning beach setting great for those sunset pics, gorgeous bridal sweet, private ceremony (no beach goers watching), perfect venue! The food was top notch, the waitstaff was incredible, the officiant was superb, the drinks were strong, the flowers were gorgeous, the fire thrower was sooo cool, the dj kept me dancing all night long, the photographer was outstanding, and everyone there was so attentive! Every vendor Kristen recommended was more than we dreamed of! She was so incredibly helpful, and always very responsive! She really made this such a memorable day for us! I’m so happy we chose this place! You should too! You won’t regret it!

This was the most perfect venue for our wedding ceremony and reception. It was absolutely beautiful. You'll get a lot of amazing sunset/beach shots here. Chef Lee's appetizers and dinner were so good. Our guests said it was the best wedding food they've ever had. She also made our wedding cake - white cake with lilikoi filling. Best cake ever!! The staff was outstanding, super friendly and helpful. They even gave us an appetizer plate to make sure we didn't miss the appetizers while we were off doing our photos. The bartender, Carl, was excellent as well. I asked him for a drink and he told me to go out and have fun and he would bring the drink to me. Outstanding service, delicious food and the best views for ceremony/reception. Sugar Beach is definitely worth it - so happy we had our wedding here.

I have to admit that Sugar Beach was not our original venue. 4 days before our wedding day we found out the entire ceremony and reception had to be moved. We had already chosen Chef Lee to cater. Her food is simply the best. But also having a wedding venue made the change seamless and now I couldn't imagine having it anywhere else because it went perfectly. I mean there isn't anything I would change about it. The guests thought it was gorgeous and it is. The staff were like ninjas and your needs were always met. There was a perfect combination of indoor and outdoor space. Everyone simply had a magical time. Sunsets there are beautiful and the pictures we took look so good. We were able to do a tasting back in April and what impressed us about Chef Lee was that she not only made everything we requested, but she made it all gluten free. She was able to make our final menu entirely gluten free at our request. And it was delicious. Thanks for everything Sugar Beach! Best. Day. Ever.
