My dress was amazing! I also uses the seamstress that is inside the bridal and tux shop. The staff very friendly and helped me so much. -

Melissa Sent on 05/13/2013I purchased my wedding gown at Sue Ames Bridal Outlet on their clearance rack for $99 and absolutely loved it!! It originally had a blue sash and blue trim around the bottom (one of the reasons why it was on the rack) but was told by the tailor they could change the color...so could not pass it up! I changed the color to orange to match the trim on my bridesmaids dresses. I would definitely recommend checking out Sue Ames for dresses! But I would not have the alterations done at C.E. Roth next door (they are connected and recommended for alterations). I purchased my dress in January and took my fabric to have to color changed in the end of July. My wedding was October 14. I was on top of going in for fittings and calling them constantly, but they still blew me off. I called wanting to see my final dress The Monday before my wedding, and was told it was done, and when I went the color was not even on it. (it did need alteration for the size too and that is what they had done). I went back down on Friday morning, and specifically told them that i had a tight schedule and needed to go home with my dress Friday morning. Well Friday morning, my dress still did not have a bow on it, it was too long, and too tight in the top (why it should have been done on Mon.) My mom and I sat there all day Friday, to almost be late for our other appointments (chiropractor & nails), and they ended up delivering my dress to my neighbors house at 9pm that night!!! I did not see my finished dress until I got home that night! And technically I wanted tails on my bow and couldn't do anything about it at that point because we had so much to do on Saturday. With having my dress for as many months as they did, it was completely unacceptable. They take on too much work and then wait to last minute to do everything. -

Janitza Sent on 04/29/2012I loved shopping for my bridal gown at Sue Ames. The girl working there was such a wonderful help, she pulled tons of dresses off of the hooks. They have a decent amount of plus size dresses there and I was very pleased that she suggested the dress she did. At first I was sad that it was so plain, but it fit in my budget and was altered later on to become a dress I loved. I would suggest for any bride on a budget to definitely come here, try some dresses on before going to a David's Bridal. I had a bad experience at David's Bridal and I had received a flyer from Sue Ames and decided to make an appointment and see what they had to offer. I had even seen some really nice designer dresses for a great price. Thank you for the wonderful service! -

Sue Ames Bridal Outlet was the first bridal shop I visited for my May 2022 wedding. A few years prior when I was a bridesmaid for a friend and I accompanied her for her dress shopping at Bridal by Sandra in Nazareth I was blown away by the service and selection they provided my friend. When I heard that Sue Ames is the outlet shop for Bridal by Sandra I knew to visit Sue Ames when my time came. There is nothing wrong with the dresses at Sue Ames that they are at an outlet shop, they are simply those not selling as fast or in demand.
When I shopped for a wedding dress last December for my May 2022 my mother and three bridesmaids accompanied me. I had already looked online at wedding dresses and have attended several weddings that I had a pretty good idea what I wanted (ballgown, non-beaded lace, and sleeves). I like the elegant and timeless look. Amal was able to find a dress that matched that description right away. It didn't look enticing on the hanger, as so many other clothing may have that effect, but when I tried on my Casablanca Beloved gown it was magic and I was in love with it.
We went to David's Bridal but every dress there I compared it to "the dress at Sue Ames". When I shop for everyday clothing, I tend to shop at boutiques, thrift, consignment etc. I prefer not to be overwhelmed by an abundance of options. When I have a smaller selection to choose to from, I actually make a purchase. The items I tried at David's blended together, but at Sue Ames because it is a smaller business, I was the focus of Amal's attention and each dress I tried at Sue Ames was its own. I could quickly tell the difference that the dresses at Sue Ames were of a much higher quality material than at David's.
It was so nice that I worked with same person from first fitting, alternations, to taking the dress home. I love small businesses for the connections that I make with the staff and Sue Ames certainly stands out. Give Sue Ames a chance, you will not be disappointed. -
