Wedding Day
Succop employees were so kind and easy to work with. This venue was extremely reasonably priced as well. The venue was so stunning and all of our guests loved it. Parking was very convenient and accessible, the staff placed signs which allowed our guests to easily find where they needed to park.-

Beautiful, nature-filled, and easy to plan
We got married at Succop Nature Park in July 2023 and had an amazing experience. The staff was very helpful and responsive both leading up to the day and on the day of the wedding, helping the day go seamlessly. And of course it’s such a beautiful place! We also loved that it is part of the Audubon society and our deposit went to a good cause. We highly recommend them for any wedding or event! -

Dream Venue!
Our wedding at Succop in May was an absolute dream! Davlin was fantastic to work with and was so quick to respond to all of my questions about the venue. It had the perfect spaces for every part of our wedding. From getting ready at the charming estate house in the morning, our ceremony in front of the pond, and the pavilion for our reception. This venue is perfect if you are looking for multiple spaces and for guests to be able to spread out like we did. It made me so happy to see our friends and family enjoying themselves playing games on the lawn, dancing under the pavilion, and exploring the grounds throughout the evening. Everyone raved about how beautiful and fun the venue was as well as how fantastic the food was through Medure's (their required caterer). I am SO glad we found Succop for our wedding!! I cannot imagine our day being as perfect anywhere else. -

Exactly what I wanted
Looking for a venue was very hard when everything is either a banquet hall or a barn. I wanted a backyard style wedding and Succop was exactly that! The venue coordinator, Davlin, was phenomenal to work with. She was very responsive, informative, and all around excited to help in any way. You can tell that Succop Nature Park has a lot of wedding experience and they know exactly how the day runs. I did not have to worry about anything knowing that the staff their is experienced in weddings. The carriage house is absolutely beautiful, the ceremony location outside the house was exactly as I imagined, and the cocktail house on the porch was a huge bonus! I would recommend this venue to anyone else who is looking for a venue that is outside of the box!-

Beautiful, Affordable, & Great Waitstaff
The photos on the Knot's website does not do justice to this location. There is a lot of key points on this property. There are : the green house, the barn, the willow tree, pond 1, pond 2, the provided arch, pavillion, and ofcourse the Marcraig house. The house itself has 2 suites with 2 rooms on each side, and a bathroom with shower + bath. We had a large bridal party and it could house all 40 people throughout the day comfortably. There are backup plans in place in case of poor weather, as the pavilion has drop down tent walls with windows. They do use an exclusive caterer of Medure's. However- I was very satisfied with them. Davlin & Medure's were very responsive throughout the entire process, and accommodating. The waitstaff was on point and very sharp. My only critique is that the dance floor is a little small, even with the additional seating that I purchased-

The wedding of my dreams!
We had our wedding here in October and I can't possibly write enough about how beautiful it was! We've gotten so many compliments on the venue and the staff. I couldn't think of a better place to say "I do". This park just has a charm about it that you can't find just anywhere.
Davlin was an absolute dream to work with! She was so helpful throughout our entire planning process and she answered every question we had about the park and how our day would go. They provide SO much and are so helpful!
I didn't know about Succop prior to our wedding, but I will 100% visit, again and again, to walk the trails and explore more. -

Perfect Wedding at Succop Park
This was the first wedding venue we looked at and the only one we needed to see! We absolutely loved the grounds especially getting married in front of the willow tree and taking pictures inside the greenhouse. Davlin was a superb help in getting all our details together and made planning from a state away in New Jersey as painless as possible. Lastly, how could we talk about how great a wedding at Succop is without mentioning their affiliation with Medure's Catering? Just like Davlin and everyone else told us, they are the BEST caterer in the area. We truly had a perfect wedding at Succop and highly recommend.Succop Nature Park's reply:
Wow! Thank you Jeff for you wonderful review! We are honored that you allowed us to be a part of your special day! You and your families were wonderful to work with, especially your mother. It was a beautiful day with an even more beautiful couple! -

Dream Venue
Succop Nature Park was an absolute DREAM venue!!! You have the outdoor wedding experience with the benefit of shelter for rain. The landscape and grounds themselves are absolutely beautiful, so any wedding decorations are just icing on the cake. There are multiple spots that you can choose to host your ceremony and the pavilion for the reception comes with a bunch of options as well. In addition to the beautiful venue, the staff is incredible!!! Davlin is incredibly sweet and easy to talk to. She makes communication easy and responds in a timely fashion. She was great and so accommodating with the set up and decorations. She really ensured that we had our dream wedding!! Additionally, the staff is PHENOMENAL on the day of the wedding, making sure that you have everything you need and taking care of anything that is asked of them. Succop Nature Park was beyond perfect, and we cannot thank the staff enough!!-

Succop is absolutely amazing
I knew I wanted to have my wedding at Succop from the moment I got there. The venue is gorgeous and had everything I wanted: an outdoor space that still offered cover in case of weather, the house was so much fun to get ready in and provided a wonderful space for pictures. Davlin and her team were beyond helpful, kind and thorough. They answered every question in a timely manner, were patient and friendly throughout the process and made my day go perfectly smooth. I would highly recommend them to anyone.-

The Best Wedding Venue
When we first saw the Succop Nature Park wedding venue, my husband and I knew it was perfect for us. From the house, to the courtyard, to the ceremony and reception areas, everything was beautiful, pristine, and fit the classic and romantic wedding we had in mind. Our wedding was in early August so everything looked green and fresh. Davlin was a dream to work with and made the planning process as easy as possible. We worked with vendors almost exclusively that she recommended and could not have been happier with the way everything came together. If we had to do it all again, we could not have chosen anywhere better to get married!Succop Nature Park's reply:
Thank you so much for your message! We are glad that Succop Nature Park met (and exceeded!) your expectations for a beautiful outdoor wedding. Have a wonderful holiday! -

The wedding of your dreams!
When we started planning our wedding my husband had 2 requests, outside and a pig roast. Outside didn’t seem like it would be too hard to fulfill, but finding a place that would do a pig roast? Challenge accepted and 100% delivered!!
Davlin Smith is the kindest, most organized woman I think I’ve ever met. She knows everything you may ask in regards to getting married at Succop Nature Park, and I mean everything. Because this venue is so beautiful and so versatile they have handled it all! She was always extremely professional and responsive. Her coworker Vince also was extremely helpful the week of the wedding and during the actual wedding itself!
Medure’s catering does all the weddings at Succop and Pete and Kristen were also both a breeze to work with! They were extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions in a timely manner, especially the week before the wedding. They also are such a versatile company, they will literally do whatever you want, including using your husbands BBQ sauce recipe!
Book Succop and you will have the wedding of your dreams!Succop Nature Park's reply:
Thanks so much for your wonderful review! We take pride in providing a lovely backdrop for weddings and other events. Best wishes to you now and in the future! -

Absolute Perfection
We cannot recommend Succop Nature Park enough! Davlin is phenomenal and will help you through the entire process. The grounds are STUNNING and the willow tree makes the most beautiful backdrop for pictures. Our guests are raving about how unique the venue is and some are considering getting married there in the future ;) Make sure to visit their open house in April to meet Davlin, tour the grounds, and shop around their many preferred vendors!Succop Nature Park's reply:

Succop conservancy is such a beautiful place with great vibes. The staff was so friendly and helpful!
We got so lucky to have found succop conservancy for our big day. They take care of almost everything and helped so much on the day of the wedding. Best day ever
This venue provided an extraordinary setting and unforgettable experience. It was perfect for our outdoor ceremony that brought the wedding attendees closely in touch with the beautiful nature within the park. The reception under the pavilion created a warm and intimate environment for all of our friends and family to have an ideal experience throughout the night. Excellent experience, May 2019 wedding
We had our wedding at Succop in May 2019 and it was amazing! From the initial consultation and tour up until the day after our wedding, the staff at Succop (especially Davlin) were so helpful and organized. They helped to make our day run smoothly and were there to answer any questions whenever we needed. Davlin was extremely helpful in the months before the wedding with the dozens of last-minute questions we threw at her! She was very responsive and professional in every interaction we had.
As for the venue itself, Succop provided exactly what we were looking for in a wedding venue--lots of natural greenery and a touch of vintage, thanks to the beautifully preserved mansion on the park grounds. It was the perfect spot for an outdoor wedding, with ceremony and reception all at one location. Our 160+ guests were easily accommodated!
Medure’s catering (Succop’s exclusive caterer) also did a fantastic job with the menu, service, set-up, and strike. Their staff were very friendly and attentive to our guests. They made an effort to take extra special care of my husband and me, which was so kind! Tables, linens, flatware, etc were all provided by Medure’s as well.
Overall, we rate our experience with Succop 10/10. If you’re looking for a beautiful, natural outdoor venue with a mostly all-inclusive package for a reasonable cost in the Pittsburgh area, Succop is the place to be!

Stunning Venue
The site staff at the audubon were extremely accommodating and answered my many questions. They have the ceremony and reception down to a system but can make it work for small and large receptions. The venue was stunning, and so many of our wedding guests commented on how beautiful it was and asked us how we found such a wonderful venue.Succop Nature Park's reply:

From the moment we step foot on the property, my husband and I fell in love with this place. The ambience it emits is unmatched and transports you to another place and time. The building and property is so quaint and charismatic, we immediately felt at home. Davlin was great to work with, very accommodating, and completely willing to answer any and all questions we had, and offered a lot of great advice. One of the many things we loved about this venue was that we were free to improvise with our wedding. Other venues we considered had strict rules and regulations, whereas Succop Nature Park welcomes uniqueness and creativity. Another plus was their exclusive contract with Medure's Catering, which saved us a lot of potential headache. Not only was the staff extremely friendly, they were willing to go above and beyond to help out in any way they could. I truly cannot recommend Succop Nature Park enough! We are so incredibly happy with how our wedding turned out! -

I had such an amazing wedding here. Succop is a hidden gem and SO worth the price for what you get. The grounds are beautiful and the catering option they use (medures) is fantastic! Everyone loved the food and kept going back for more. The people know exactly what to do and Davlin is a saint. I had a mini meltdown about not finding my bouquet before I walked out and Davlin found it and saved the day! It really was perfect. The only thing I would recommend is getting a uhaul to put your things in at the end of the night. We had a bunch of people trying to find cars to put all of our stuff in and it was a hassle. Other than that it was lovely. Everyone keeps telling me BEST WEDDING EVER! Im so happy with my choice! -

We cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff was at Succop Nature Park. We approached them over a year ago about holding a cross-cultural (Indian and Western) wedding at their park, and they welcomed us enthusiastically! Davlin gave us excellent advice and ongoing support as we planned our day, and the day of, the team went above and beyond to ensure that our day went off without a hitch! The grounds are breathtaking, the staff works hard to come up with backup plans in the case of inclement weather, and did we mention that the grounds are breathtaking! We highly recommend Succop Nature Park for any type of wedding ceremony and reception...it's magical! -

Succop is a great place to have a wedding and have several options depending on your style. The staff was easy to work with and quick to respond. The food was great and the ambiance there is wonderful. I truly loved our wedding there and had fun planning everything with the staff. We got married at the end of May and got to enjoy all the wonderful blooms there as well!
Our guests loved the venue and had a great time there! It is also really nice to get ready there and be there for the day! So many great reasons to get married at Succop.

My husband and I learned of Succop through a coworker of mine. We knew we wanted a
venue with an outdoor ceremony option but something with indoor options as well. We
met with Davlin during the initial meeting. She was so helpful and thorough with all of
the details that Succop offers. I was in love with the house on site and we both loved the
nature aspect and the pond. I can’t say enough about the venue itself. It’s so beautiful
and provides an interesting environment for guests to explore on the day. The staff go
above and beyond. I was so surprised by how helpful and positive everyone was. The
part I appreciated the most was how easy the day went because the staff were able to
anticipate needs and everyone was so responsive. I can’t believe how everything came
together and the Succop staff was a critical piece. Davlin was really great with everything
leading up to the day. She was very responsive with any questions and was always
positive. We are so happy we chose Succop and would highly recommend the venue. -

I was just married at Succop Nature Park and I have nothing but positive thoughts about the day, including the staff and the grounds. The Marcraig house is perfect for setting up and getting ready for your big day with an extensive bridal and groom suite. The grounds are expansive and beautiful, including in the house, the pavilion, and nature surrounding it. Specifically, I have to mention Dallas, who was our coordinator on the big day. She made the day go FLAWLESSLY, was there at every turn to do whatever I needed and answer my questions. I couldn't have done it without her and the great Succop staff. Would definitely recommend, great price too! -

We are so glad we chose Succop Nature Park for our wedding! We had an amazing time, not only is the location beautiful but they have a lovely staff that is so helpful and accommodating! We primarily worked with Davlin, and she is fantastic! She was responsive and very helpful with all of our planning. The staff on the day-of was great and they made sure everything ran smoothly - they even doubled checked with me on requests coming from the bridal party to be sure it's what I wanted! You really get a tremendous value for your money as well, I would recommend this venue to any couple! -

I looked at almost every outdoor venue in western PA, and knew once I visited Succop thats where I wanted to get married. While it was not cheap, it was reasonable for a wedding and included a lot. My guests raved about the venue and food (which is set my Meadures an exclusive caterer). The staff was top notch, making sure everything was organized, but also staying out of the way enough to not be overbearing during the wedding. Davlin was also very responsive during the process. The grounds are beautiful and I would definitely recommend! -

We had our wedding at Succop Nature Park on 10.21.16 and it was absolutely perfect. I have nothing but excellent things to say about working with Davlin for over a year on details and then with the rest of the staff the day of. Everyone was so friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. The location is beautiful the house is perfect and all of our guests are raving about the location and the food that Medure provides. I'm so glad I chose Succop for our wedding day, it was perfect! -

Succop was a beautiful venue for both our ceremony and reception, and we are so happy that we decided to have our wedding there. The bridal suites in the house provided spacious and beautiful places to get ready with our bridal parties and families, our ceremony site right in front of the pond photographed beautifully, and the pavilion was a great place for our reception. The pricing (which is very very reasonable, especially compared to places closer to the city) includes all food (from Medure's catering, who were great to work with and our guests loved the food), linens, tables, ceremony and reception site, cake cutting, fire setup for smores, and all of the staff who made our day run so very smoothly. Everything was set up perfectly, it looked beautiful, all of the staff on site for our wedding day were extremely helpful and friendly, and Davlin was extremely responsive whenever I had a question. It was the perfect venue for our perfect wedding! -

What to say about Succop. My husband and I had THE BEST experience with this beautiful, fabulous place. Penny and Davlin are gems and are so kind and helpful. We never had to worry about anything and knew they would take care of it all - which they did! It's economical in terms of price and Medure's Catering is top notch. We fortunately had gorgeous weather for our wedding on June 17, but even if it had rained, Penny and Davlin wait up until 30 minutes before the ceremony for you to decide what you want to do. They provide umbrellas and move all of the chairs around for you so you won't have to worry about your guests. They set up all of the ceremony decor provided you give them a plan on what goes where. We couldn't believe how many "worker bees" there are here that work behind the scenes to make your day the best thing ever and we were so impressed with how professional everyone was. The entire team at Succop made our day seamless and we couldn't thank them enough! -

My husband and I are outside as much as possible, so I could not believe when we found this venue. Everything was absolutely fabulous. I appreciated having the exclusive caterer and not having to go meet and shop prices or taste test anywhere else. Davlin was a true pleasure to deal with from beginning to end and I feel the price was very reasonable for everything that was included. We are grateful for the attention and efforts made for our day to be so special. Kindest regards, MJ & DA -

My husband and I truly enjoyed planning and having our dream wedding day at Succop Nature Park in May 2015. We had been looking for a place that offered an outdoorsy, natural vibe that could have our ceremony and reception in one place, at a reasonable price, and this fit all of the above. Davlin and her team were nothing short of outstanding throughout the planning process and on the day of the event. Davlin really put me at ease because her team was well organized and helpful. It was so lovely to get ready in the house and our guests loved exploring the property during cocktail hour and the reception. My husband and I snuck away with our photographer and videographer for a nature walk during the reception, and these are some of my favorite moments captured on film. -

Absolutely loved Succop! Dina was amazing. She was quick to answer email and calm any anxiety I had. She coordinated seamlessly with my day-of coordinator and all of our vendors. Everything went off without a hitch.
The venue itself is spectacular. it's incredibly affordable and has so much natural charm. We didn't need to bring in decor, aside from table centerpieces, because the Succop is so beautiful already.
All of our guests loved the on-site ceremony, cocktails within the house, and reception at the pavilion. It was slightly chilly on our October wedding date, and the staff was quick to pull down the sidewalls and bring in heaters at our request.
I honestly couldn't have imagined a more beautiful, affordable, and stress-free venue! I would recommend it to anyone who is getting married. -

I cannot say enough great things about this venue! From the very first day we visited, Davlin was warm and inviting and gave us an incredible tour of this one of a kind property. The house and grounds are absolutely stunning. Every single staff member we met was incredible helpful and professional. On the day of the ceremony - they really made us feel at home while we prepared for our big day. The pavillion and new additions to the property are beautiful and made our guests comfortable throughout the entire day and evening. This venue has a pre-arranged food vendor and the food is fantastic. The price is incredibly reasonable - especially compared to some of the venues a little closer to the city. We couldn't be happier with our choice to be married at this amazing venue. -

This was the perfect venue for our wedding. The grounds are amazingly beautiful and well maintained. The venue does not need a lot of decoration because the house and grounds are more than enough. I enjoyed being able to use the house and back patio for the cocktail hour, it created a lovely atmosphere. The day was flawless. Davlin and the crew ensured the day ran smoothly, even getting some decorations set up that we had forgot about. Davlin was available for any questions I had in the planning process and really helped guide me through the process. Part of my dress began unraveling right before my dad and I were to start walking. Daviln came to the rescue with a pair of scissors to snip off the strands so it wouldn’t get unravel more as I walked. Since our date was in the fall and it is an outdoor venue, I was naturally concerned about the weather. It was a chilly evening, low 50’s, but with the side flaps for the pavilion and the heaters, our guests were comfortable. Medure’s Catering, their exclusive caterer, provided amazing food, set up the reception tables and provided the bartenders. It was a flawless, stress free day. The venue is beautiful and cost effective.Succop Nature Park's reply:

The venue was absolutely amazing for an outdoor wedding / reception. In the event of inclimate weather, they had a plan B. We were blessed to have the perfect day. The staff was there and working by the time we arrived. We literally had to drop alcohol and beverages at the front door and they took care of the rest. Very clean and they absolutely knew exactly what they were doing every moment. The bridal suite and Groomsmen suite were beautiful with a lot of space for the bride and bridesmaids to be having hair and makeup done in the same space. I cannot say enough about this venue. Medure's Catering is the exclusive caterer for this venue and they are superb.Succop Nature Park's reply:

We had our wedding at Succop on 8/22/15 and it was absolutely incredible. We had great weather and the day went off perfectly. Everyone kept telling us how much they loved Succop and it was like a 'magical' place because they didn't even know it existed. The event staff was very helpful and service was great all night. We met with Davlin and her staff 2 weeks prior to the wedding and went over all the details. I emailed Davlin whenever I had a questions and she was so nice and very responsive. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone. Rain or shine I have never heard a bad word about this place. We are so glad we chose it for our wedding. -

We had our ceremony and reception at Succop. It is absolutely beautiful there and the staff is fantastic to work with. The center coordinator, Davlin, was a joy to work with. She is professional and friendly and quick to respond to any questions I had. She and her staff ensured our every need was tended to on our wedding day, I actually didn't have to ask for anything, every detail was anticipated before I had a chance to ask. The house and grounds are breathtaking and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location for our wedding or nicer people to work with throughout the planning process. I would highly recommend Succop Conservancy to anyone looking for a beautiful outdoor venue. -

The 5-star rating is not given lightly, and I cannot give a higher recommendation for a venue. Not only is it a beautiful location, the value is unbelievable. Davlin, the coordinator, is helpful and very responsive--responds best to e-mail. She works with you to make sure you get what you want and have everything you need. They do have an exclusivity contract with Medure's catering (pay per person--linens, napkins, barware, dinnerware all included), but I wouldn't want it any other way. Between the two, you get your food, linens, tables, chairs, bartenders (who will cut any fruit your provide and mix any drink you want), parking attendants, guest book greeters, servers, skewers for the s'mores (yes, there is a fire that they will keep going for you. And if you bring s'mores fixings, your guests will have s'mores all night). They cut the cake, unbox your cookies for the cookie table, bring the cake and cookies to the reception site and then box everything up at the end of the night! Medure's even boxed up and gave us the extra food (which was fantastic by the way--our guests raved about it)! It is important to note that the only beverages they provide are hot tea and coffee (iced tea and lemonade will be provided at an extra cost). So you have to provide all the liquor, beer, side and water. And everything (decorations and food) must be taken down and removed from the site at the end of the night. But the staff is so wonderful that they help you! The reception site has tent flaps in case of rain and can be used as the ceremony site if the rain doesn't let up. They seriously think of everything so you have the most stress-free day. I SO HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! -

We can't say enough great things about the Succop Conservancy. Guests at our May 2014 wedding have raved about the location, with more than one couple telling us if they would've known about this hidden gem when they got married, they would have had their wedding there. Davlin was wonderful to work with---very responsive to emails and phone calls and so knowledgeable and pleasant. The exclusive caterer, Medure's, was equally fabulous. The house and grounds are so beautiful you could skip decorations altogether and it would still be gorgeous. The pricing was very reasonable. We are so appreciative of all of the staff's help to make our day perfect. It was worth driving all the way from Pittsburgh to Butler for this venue and we'd choose it again in a heartbeat. -

The staff at the conservancy were great. There was always someone available the day of the wedding when I needed something. Davlin was great, we had extra flowers and she arranged them around the house and the venue so that I didn't have to worry about it. It looked beautiful and gave it that extra special touch that otherwise I wouldn't have had because I ran out of time. The staff was very nice and very accommodating to any request that I had. I am so glad that I had my wedding at Succop, I was so wonderful. I received so many compliments on my venue choice. We are from the Youngstown, Ohio area and it was definitely worth the drive. -

We had a nice long engagement, so we were witness to Succop moving from BC3 over to the Audobon Society, and trust us - the move was a good one. The level of professionalism increased significantly. They have two wedding planners on staff now, which are really helpful. Of course, Davlin is fabulous. She's really organized and helped us the week before the wedding avoid a few major pitfalls (who knew you couldn't move kegs without letting them settle? A reception without booze = bad). We had no idea what we were doing, so she really helped! Of course, the best part of having a wedding at Succop is that you get to work with Medure's Catering. Pete Medure is a SAINT. He is the most professional, caring, wonderful person. He loves what he does and it truly shows. I also want to give a shout out to the groundkeepers at Succop and the other "facility" workers. Holy cow, they are so nice! I couldn't stop chatting with them, and they were ALWAYS there, lighting the bonfire, moving chairs, helping to keep it warm/cooler. They go above and beyond. Succop isn't a traditional wedding venue, so you have to do more work yourself, but the staff does what they can to make it perfect for you. It's worth it if you want a beautiful, unique wedding location. They are making a lot of improvements to the grounds, too, so in the years ahead, it will be even better. -

The Succop Conservancy is a beautiful venue if your looking to have an outdoor wedding. I was very lucky and had the most perfect weather possible for my wedding day which made the setting at this gorgeous location just stunning. It really was the wedding I had always dreamed about :) Davlin is the coordinator for the facility and she is very friendly and accommodating. I loved how private the venue is and that you have access to the venue as early as you want. Succop is not only beautiful but also very affordable- the price is "all inclusive" meaning it includes the use of the facility plus the catering and then you purchase your own alcohol which saved us A TON of money!! Succop will always have a special place in my heart and I hope if you use it as your venue you have as wonderful experience as I did :) -

Succop Conservancy is a beautiful wedding venue. It's unique, flexible and private. I can't imagine having found a better venue for our ceremony and reception.
The staff was wonderful and quick to answer emails. The McCraig house was a wonderful back drop for cocktails and the cake cutting. The space lent itself well to guests having fun, especially with the cornhole sets and s'mores ingredients we provided. There was little need for lots of additional decoration because the grounds are so pretty as is.
Finally, the cost of a wedding here was way more reasonable than other venues we looked at. Medure's Catering (the exclusive caterer for Succop) was wonderful and being able to buy our own beverages saved us a ton.
I totally understand why this venue books up so far in advance. -

The Succop Conservancy is the most fabulous place for a wedding! It has a timeless, laidback, yet very chic atmosphere. We held the ceremony right outside the Marcraig house and all of our guests mentioned that it felt like they were in a "movie" wedding. Beautiful grounds for a September ceremony and reception. I knew from the moment I saw it I wanted our wedding there. And after working with Nancy, I'm certainly glad we did! She was easy to work with, accommodating, quick to answer emails/calls, understanding of our unique needs. I have a mentally handicapped autistic brother whom we had some special needs for. Not only was Nancy understanding, she spent the day before the wedding with my brother walking around the grounds getting him familiar and comfortable with it. My father offered her money for her services, and she refused saying it was her pleasure. Also, Medure's worked with us in creating a unique menu and stations. They made korean barbeque for the first time for us as my husband is part Korean. Everyone loved it! Still get compliments on how great the food was and how different it was. They will make whatever you ask for. I would recommend this location for ambiance, flexibility to organize the day exactly as you want it, and overall services. Absolutely no complaints! You can make your wedding the way you want. Get creative w reception/ceremony decorations if you want, organize the house and back patio to suit your needs, hold the ceremony anywhere on the grounds.... only your imagination stands in the way! -

Succop Conservancy is a hidden gem. We are the first couple in our social circle to hold a wedding at Succop and we are so glad we did. From start to finish, we made the absolute best choice. The only tricky thing was that it was booked so far in advance!! We loved the setting so much that we booked without knowing much about their exclusive caterer, Medure's, but that turned out to be a wonderful experience anyway.
Nancy Lawry, the event coordinator, is the nicest lady. She might never sleep because she responds to emails so quickly. She is flexible and helpful. The Marcraig House on the grounds is timelessly elegant and wonderfully maintained. The grounds are beautiful and stunning. We are so happy we were able to hold our ceremony at the herb garden! You have the flexibility of holding the ceremony anywhere on the grounds. We used Marcraig House for cocktail hour because it was a little windy and chilly for our mid October wedding. We had about 87 guests so it wasn't cramped at all. There's a nice flow to the house so there was plenty of room to socialize and for staff to butler h'ordeuvres.
Our guests were blown away by the beauty of Succop and how seamless everything seemed to be. Succop and Medure's really have a good partnership and that makes for a lovely wedding day. -

We feel like we found a gem in Succop Conservancy! The beauty, the quality of service, the caterer, and the price can't be beat. There were no hidden fees or surprises. Nancy was more than helpful. She gave us so much direction and many ideas on how to decorate or set-up, yet she gave us so much flexibility. She was always happy to see us and to help. This is someone who loves what she does and does it so well!
Our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful it was. It's so naturally beautiful that we kept our decorations simple and whimsical. It was also great for our family since there were a lot of young kids. We were able to set up bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and lawn games. At the end of the night everyone had a great time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Succop Conservancy!! -

LOVED LOVED LOVED IT! Succop was recommended to my husband and I by our photographers and once we saw the place we stopped looking. Nancy Lowry, the manager, was fantastic. We met her on a snowy winter day to tour the venue and she even took us out in the snow to make sure we saw the whole venue. Our wedding was on a sunday so our pricing was a little less than a Saturday wedding but even so, it was the most reasonable pricing we had seen. The price included the whole venue (house, pavilion and land) for the day plus it included the price for the caterer (as they use a specific caterer-also amazing), and all the reception needs. Nancy was right there before the ceremony handing out the bouquets to myself and the wedding party and making sure my dress and veil were in place. The staff in the evening were also very nice, helping us to pack everything up and pack it in the truck. You get the choice of several places to hold the ceremony and are not rushed to make the choice. If you want an outdoor wedding at a wonderful price look no further, Succop is the place to go. My guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the place was and neither can I. -

Let me begin by saying that I am in love with this location! If you are looking for a unique & picturesque outdoor wedding venue, this is your place! Everything there is coordinated by Nancy Lawry and she is attentive, friendly and all around a great person. The mission of this location (which is a nonprofit owned by the community college) is one worth supporting and being able to do so and have a beautiful location for my wedding was perfect! There are only two negative words I can use and that is..."Goose Poop"! With two beautiful ponds on the location, its bound to be around, but they do a great job of getting as much as possible gone before your big day begins. (the real time to watch is while you have your bridal pictures taken out on the many trails there.) Thank you for everything Nancy and Crew you made my day wonderful and the process leading up to it as stress free as possible! -

I can't possibly say enough wonderful things about the Conservancy. The setting is gorgeous and Nancy was by far the kindest, most organized person we met with in our search for a venue and her response time to all of my emails was nearly instantaneous. We knew that we wanted a place that was a little different (meaning, not your usual hall or hotel), that would allow us to hold the ceremony and reception in the same place, and reflected our more laid back personalities. We were also on a very tight budget and the fact that this place does not charge a "site fee," only a comparatively small deposit, was wonderful. They only hold one ceremony per day so you'll have the entire place to yourself, which was a big deal to me. Also, because it's primarily an outdoor venue, they only hold weddings from May-Sept. or Oct. so they do tend to book up fast, so the earlier you go see it the better. -

She was so helpful and so excited for everything that we did. They were able to get back to us in plenty of time for everything and were willing to work with us to make everything perfect! We got married at Succop on 7/29/17. The staff were fantastic!!! They handled the logistics and put me at ease when it came to the flow of the day! Our guests loved the venue as much as we did!! It provided the space for guests to do a variety of things (relax in the Marcraig House, walk around the pond, dance in the pavilion, etc). I wish we could do the day all over again!! -

The wedding of your pinterest board dreams. Without breaking your budget.
We got married here on 9/3/23 and had such a truly wonderful experience! And wowowowow is the venue and grounds beyond beautiful – and the value for its beauty and convenience is unmatched.
We booked the venue about a year and a half in advance and during that time there was a significant change of staffing – and the new team made sure that the transition was not only smooth for us, but that their attention to our needs and improvements to the venue itself were even better than when we'd originally booked. Their Venue Director Karen and Rental Coordinator Karla were truly truly truly so wonderful!
This space is so genuinely affordable for all the beauty that you get. Absolutely reach out if you are interested because I think you'll be surprised at the price! And we can attest that they did not nickel and dime and upcharge like so many other venues do.
On your day, you get access to the full house. There are rooms for the full bridal party to get ready. Our group of 10 women were able to get ready in the two rooms (with full hair and makeup artist set ups) starting at 8am and then consolidated into one room when the groom and groomsmen arrived an hour before the wedding. It was so great as the bride to just be able to get there and stay at the venue and then just walk downstairs and right down the aisle! And it was cute to know that right before the wedding my husband was right next door.
And the house itself!!! The picture opportunities are beyond. It's not just the big beautiful tree and the lake. It's the little rooms in the house. The exposed and weathered bricks with nooks around outside. It's the greenhouse and porch and courtyard.
I will say – the pavilion does take work to bring to life. It's a beautiful wood pavilion with strung lights already there. But it's nothing you can't do with a vision and some DIY and the right vendors to help! Just remember to work WITH the scenery and the vibe of the venue rather than against it.
TL:DR Succop was the perfect place for our wedding vision and we can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else.
For Reference Budget: Our total wedding cost came in around 45K for the day of all in. We truly feel that to have as beautiful wedding as we did, with nearly 200 people, we got away with a great deal. To have had a wedding like this downtown, it would have easily exceeded this by a lot. Granted, it took a lot of DIY work but, it is possible. And you could do it even cheaper, absolutely!! We rented linens (Succop provides white for free which we just didn't want), a few additional farm tables (again, Succop provides the circular ones for free), spent a lot on flowers (which you don't have to!), and had two different 'trucks' come in for ice cream and coffee. So, 45K for that all is quite good. And without all of that, you could certainly do your day at Succop for significantly less. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out directly @kelseymillercw on IG.-

Stunning, Historic, Charming
Succop Nature Park was absolutely the venue of my dreams and made the perfect location for our wedding day. The property is stunning and allows guests to walk around and explore beautiful Pennsylvania nature. The Marcraig house (my personal favorite part of the property) is a historic gem, and every inch is filled with character, charm, and beautiful architecture. We had our ceremony right in front of the house and it made for the most gorgeous ceremony location. The pavilion, where receptions are held, is absolutely charming at night-time with strings of lights setting the ambience. Davlin, the coordinator, is a wealth of knowledge and so meticulous and helpful. I could go on and on... Succop will always have such a special place in my heart after our perfect wedding day there! -

Beautiful July venue!
Succop Nature Park was a beautiful venue for our July wedding. The space had a very nice flow and we got many compliments about the space. The pavilion and ceremony space were wonderful. The getting ready space was everything we needed (although I do recommend bringing an extension cord for more outlets). And we loved the ability to offer s’mores! While Davlin seemed aloof at times, Medure’s Catering was absolutely incredible, very responsive, and accommodating for us and our guests. Overall, Succop Nature Park was the perfect venue for our wedding. -

Succop Conservancy is a beautiful place for a wedding! Davlin and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful. We live in Maryland so much of our communication was through email and everything turned out just as we wanted. There was a wedding at the venue the night before ours, but you would never know it! We were able to start bringing decorations and setting up early in the morning and the staff helped with all of it--making suggestions and setting up tables and decorations for us.
The grounds are beautiful and our guests said how much they loved how unique it was! Pictures don't do the place justice, you need to go see how amazing it looks in person! -

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!! We loved everything about it. From the minute I toured it I couldn't imagine have my reception anywhere else. We did not have our ceremony there but I am sure it would have been great too. It's just perfect there. You get your indoor house and paviilion coverage with a mix of the gorgeous landscape and scenery. Our wedding picture were phenomenal by the pond. The staff was so helpful, especially Nancy Lowry. I loved working with her. My only complaint is that the night of my wedding, it ended up getting pretty chilly and windy. I was under the impression that the tarp-like curtains around the pavillion were able to come down for that, but after we asked (after numerous guests complained) we were told no. So some people froze, but then again, if that's the only thing that went wrong, I am fine with it. Recommend it, love it! -

As the day of my wedding approached, I wanted to keep my expectations in check. Unexpected things can happen and things can go wrong. I didn't want my wedding day be where I get upset over mistakes. However, our wedding at Succop was one of the most beautiful days of our lives. Everything went smoothly, the staff was very helpful and so nice. I appreciated the professionalism from everyone involved and Davlin, the special events coordinator is wonderful. The grounds are beautifully kept and the house is absolutely stunning. My wedding party and I really enjoyed the bridal suite and our photographer had so many beautiful spots to photograph us. Our guests raved over Succop and were thoroughly impressed by its natural beauty. This is definitely a really well-kept secret for any bride in the Pittsburgh or Butler areas. It is only 30 to 45 minutes north of Pittsburgh and it is a very unique spot that I think is perfect for any couple looking for a relaxed yet elegant spot for their special day. You really can't go wrong here. -

Succop hosted our wedding on 10/5. Davlin and the staff were so very nice. They did everything they could to make the event wonderful and run smoothly! The site was gorgeous and my guests loved the venue. It booked very quickly so definitely inquire sooner rather than later!Succop Nature Park's reply:

Succop is an absolutely gorgeous place for an outdoor wedding. The grounds are beautiful and the house on site is so charming and well kept. My husband and I wanted to be outside to enjoy the fall season and appreciated that we could have our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one place. At first I was iffy about having to use their caterer but I grew to like that option. For simplicity sake, it's one less vendor to worry about. The value is also incredible for what's included: use of the grounds and house, catering, tables, chairs, linens, napkins, barware, bartenders, and other staff day of. On our wedding day, everyone involved truly did a great job - our families commented on their flawless execution of cocktail hour and reception. Not to mention our ceremony under the willow tree was beautiful and unique. A few downsides for me is that you have to do everything yourself in terms of set up. While Davlin is the coordinator I'm not exactly sure what she does outside of telling you who to contact (which most of the time her default was ask Medures). Her and her staff cannot touch or assist in decor setup nor do they assist with your ceremony. Also, you cannot drop anything off the night prior. In weeks leading up to the wedding, this can be incredibly stressful. I guess one up side is it forced me to hire a day of coordinator and she turned out to be a highlight of the wedding! She did all of my decor set up, ceremony direction, etc. Finally, with regard to Medures everything is an upgrade. When we did our tasting, we were given beef as an option so I assumed it was included in the base price. It wasn't. Literally every time I asked something their answer was "sure for an upgrade you can..." I asked to have a champagne toast (which you provide all alcohol anyway) and they noted I needed to rent champagne flutes. Also our tasting was mediocre but luckily day of the food was AMAZING. Overall a great venue with a few quirks but still an unreal value! -

Succop was the perfect location for our reception! Davlin and the staff were so helpful during the entire planning process. Our guests had the best time, and kept commenting on the beautiful house and grounds. I would absolutely recommend Succop to anyone looking for an outdoor venue!!
There wasn't a ton of flexibility with set up, but there didn't need to be! They have a great system for setting up the house/pavilion that works! -

My husband and I were married on July 4, 2010. We loved Succop from the second we toured it and wanted to have our wedding there. Nancy was great and a dream to deal with. The only problem was we were only given one choice of catering companies. The food we taste-tested was wonderful and everything eventually worked out - but we had such bad communictions with Medures because they were changing some staff. It was the most stressful part of the wedding. We loved the venue though - and so we put up with it. Nancy was so gracious and helpful on our wedding day - letting us in earlier than she probably should have because we were from out of town. We had a beautiful ceremony onsite followed by the cocktail hour in the house/patio and the reception under the pavillion. It was a gorgeous, albeit it TOO hot, day and I would recommend the venue to anyone. It's so quaint and private! -

The venue is stunning, and Davlin is very nice and helpful. However, I just got married there on May 7 and the other staff there was not very helpful. I arrived very early in the morning and wanted to setup. The staff took very long breaks when things were not completed as I'd asked. They needed to pull up the windows on the pavilion which still was not done by 12:30 when I returned from my hair appointment. The also didn't ever setup the cloths on the head table which I ended up doing myself and when I got to the reception I saw that everything had been moved. They told me it would be put back the way I had it. Oh and I was told by my mother that she saw some of them eating the cookies we brought in for our guests. It seemed as tho they didn't care and I was already stressed enough between a no show groomsmen and trying to crunch my time in order to get everything set up and myself and bridesmaids ready. I still love the venue and the wedding was still gorgeous but I just felt that this should be pointed out. A lot of people are spending thousands on the venue so the other staff should at least try to make it easier on the bride and not more stressful. The value is great and scenery. But I was hoping for a smoother setup process then what I got.Succop Nature Park's reply:

I love the Succop-it's stunningly beautiful! The succop requires exclusive catering, from Medures catering, which is AMAZING! (5.0!) however, the succop staff differ than the Medures staff. I was informed the week before my wedding, that the staff does not assist in setting up anything, other than their tables. That was not explained to me while booking the venue, instead quite the opposite. I also felt the primary coordinator for the succop is very opinionated, and pushy. The succop is not a cheaper venue, and I expected more professionalism and assistance than I received. But, the picture perfect environment made it all somehow still great for us in the end, and our pictures look as if they were from a fairy tale : ) -

The place is beautiful and the wedding went off with out any problems. (thank goodness Davlin was not there). However the staff is great. I found Davlin to be abrupt and not very pleasant for the bride and groom. She takes away from the big day by being so cold. also I ask to have 16 chairs and I was told it would cost $150.00 EXTRA.. couldn't believe it. WHITE WOODEN CHAIRS... this small wedding was for a US soldier and his bride she acted like we were going to destroy the place. very insulting to treat a 2 time afghanistan veteran like she did.Succop Nature Park's reply:
Thank you for your review. We are pleased you liked our property and your ceremony went smoothly! We are sorry that we weren’t aware of your concerns or had an opportunity to address them. We certainly want to thank the groom for his service! We strive to provide the same exemplary service to everyone. Beyond disappointed with staff at Succop. Venue is stunning, but staff is completely unprofessional in attire & attitude & a nightmare to work with. What we were told before the wedding changed on the day of & led to frustrations and disappointments. Abridged version (full story -w.e.simmons@live.com): •Davlin was double-booked for our final walkthrough. Penny continually cut us off and kept saying “we know what to do” and “don’t worry about it.” Didn't pay attention.•Wedding day called for rain so rehearsed in the pavilion. Neither Davlin nor Penny were present, but gave brief instructions, which they tried to change on the day of the wedding. •Originally told garden arch could be moved, then told no at the rehearsal. $$ swag already made for it. •Davlin gives tours all AM on day of wedding. Barely saw Davlin/Penny at all. Didn’t “coordinate” anything. We moved guests to each event. I sent the head table to the buffet late, others helped get rest of tables to dinner. Cake served after everyone left or was dancing. •Shower is freezing cold hard water, tub doesn’t work. •Staff tried switching our ceremony set up on day of wedding because they forgot we had a head table & wouldn’t move it. Fought all morning. •Staff does not put table cloths on tables. Your responsibility. •Staff will not clean mold pavilion sides. •Said could use aisle runner in pavilion, then took it right before ceremony w/o telling anyone. •Instructed to put pavilion side down, but left open so that everyone, including the groom saw me on way from house to the staging area before I came down the aisle. •Said they would put out roses for mothers/g-mothers, didn't put out enough. •Reserved all six heaters, and repeatedly asked for them to be put out, instead they put out blower heaters after ceremony - asked them not to do. Put out 3 heaters part way through dinner - some guests left before dinner. •Told my brother-in-law “go f--- yourself." •Brought bottled water, but irony tap water served. ETC...Succop Nature Park's reply:

This is an absolutely beautiful place for a wedding but Nancy the manager is without a doubt the least service oriented, rude person I have ever met in the service industry. Many guests complained about being barked at for one infraction or another putting a damper on the otherwise joyous occasion. The worst example took place during the reception. The sun was setting and nearly half of the pavilion was in the blinding sun and heat. Out of consideration for those seated in that area, especially several elderly persons, I asked her to lower the fabric blinds which seemed to be there for just such an occasion. She refused to lower them saying the sun would be down in 20 minutes and it wasn't worth it. Worth it for who? It was at least another hour before the situation became comfortable again. In the meantime the wedding guests took it upon themselves to move the very heavy tables with no offer of assistance from Nancy or the staff. This woman has no clue about providing gracious service and should be replaced. -
