Kept the party going at our evening wedding!

Shawn did an amazing job at our wedding. Everything from stage draping, getting the crowd pumped before our reception entrance, coordinating with a quartet to play a backtrack for our first dance and keeping the party alive throughout the night, he really brought the energy the whole evening.

We also appreciated how he was able to create a custom monogram that encompassed our quirky gamer interests! The dancing on a cloud was so special and made our first dance feel like a dream. Thank you Shawn for going beyond to make our day special!

Best dj! Hire him!

Shawn was a pleasure to work with! We gave him a couple of song requests to play during reception party time but let him pick the rest of the playlist based on our selection and we are so glad we did that! All of our guests loved the music played and he kept the party going! Our bridal party decided to change their entrance at the last minute (and also because we forgot to tell him ahead of time) but he quickly adapted and made what we wanted happen! He was very professional the whole time, offered smart suggestions and made sure we were happy with everything. We absolutely recommend Shawn to anyone looking for a DJ!

The best dj ever!

We hired Shawn and recently had him as our DJ and photobooth at our wedding and he was everything we asked for and MORE! He was such a pleasure to work work prior to the wedding, helping us with any questions, formulating the perfect mix of music and even creating a personal monogram to display around our wedding! On our day, he arrived very early to assure he had everything set up perfectly! He really kept the party going all night long! He’s really got the perfect ear for music and entertainment! We also did his Dancing on a cloud and it was BREATHTAKING!!! SO WORTH IT!! It made our first dance so magical and turned out for AMAZING pictures and videos ! We are so pleased with his services, and we couldn’t recommend him enough!!

Shawn was a great DJ and kept everyone entertained!

I came across Subsonic Event DJs after doing a LOT of research. We booked them for DJ, photo booth and uplighting services. Overall, we’re super happy we went with Shawn! Our consultation with him was awesome, and on the day of, everything ran super smoothly! He played all of our “must plays” and “play if possible” songs, and made sure to avoid any songs or artists we made note of. The sound quality was great and people were out on the dance floor the whole night! Our guests also LOVED the photo booth, and Subsonic provided props, a nice photobook and pens/markers that were were able to use as our guest book. We were able to customize our logo to show on the DJ booth and the photo strips, and got tons of copies as well as digitals! The photo quality was awesome and the attendants were very nice.

Best Experience on Our Wedding Day!

Subsonic Dj did an exceptional job helping to explain how to coordinate our wedding music list, making the process super easy and extremely efficient. He has a very infectious personality and brought such life and energy to our wedding day. He made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it on our special day and helped us to think about other details to make the event extra personalized for us and our guests. His son also did an exceptional job with the photobooth and we highly recommend this and the extra special effects they have to offer. It made the experience so magical and everything and more that we could have ever asked for!

Over Delivered!!!!!

Shawn was our DJ at our 3/3/22 wedding and OMG he was amazing. Shawn offers a plethora of add one to make your day and your venue stand out and WOW your guests.

Not only did Shawn ensure there was great music playing at all times (prelude, ceremony and reception) he really did an amazing job of ensuring everyone knew their part and was comfortable.

Shawn then took my wedding to an entire other level with all the service he has available. From dancing on the cloud, cake spot light, to uplighting and cold sparkles machine. This is just to name a few.

The most touching part of my day however was that Shawn spent some time with my daughter, allows a few run through of her song to make her more comfortable with performing a surprise song for us. She did great and was comfortable because of the time Shawn spent with her. Thanks!!!

At the end of the evening Shawn cleared the barn out and allowed for me and my new husband to enjoy one final dance to the song “you are the reason” and this was the perfect close to the most epic evening ever.

Amazing!!!

Shawn did an amazing job for our wedding!!! His consultation was very professional and he made sure he understood what we were looking for. We are pretty big gamers and asked him to play instrumental gaming music from games like Final Fantasy during dinner service and he did not disappoint! And when we switched to dancing he had a great mix of popular songs, special requests from us, and the overall flow was perfect! Highly recommend him for all your DJ needs! =)

Great Experience!

We had Andres for the day of DJ. He wasn't the first DJ we scheduled with but a DJ from the same company. But let me tell you, he was no consolation prize. We had two calls with him before our wedding and we really enjoyed how thoughtful he was and how he wanted to be clear on all of our special details. The day of the event it did rain, but he seamlessly pivoted to not lose too much music time while also keeping his equipment save. He was a great personality and was the perfect DJ to mc and deliver the right music at the right time for our event. Kept our stress low and was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend.

Amazing DJ!

Shawn with Subsonic DJs was fantastic! He was always incredibly quick to respond to any of my emails. I loved the online planning forms that Subsonic uses. It made it very convenient to plan the pacing and details of the wedding. He has SO many songs for you to add to different lists. I appreciated his check in with me prior to the wedding where he reviewed in detail every little part of the wedding. He practiced pronouncing the names of the wedding party, and he made sure that we didn’t overlook any little detail! He kept people on the dance floor all night! We loved having him at our wedding, and I would recommend Subsonic DJs to any future bride!

Shawn was phenomenal! Loved his detailed “day of” timeline and all of the forms you need are online so I could save my progress on music and do it on my own time. Amazing DJ at an affordable price

I can’t say enough good things about Shawn and Subsonic DJs. Shawn was our dj and he did such a fantastic job. Even though we had a timeline all planned out, things had to be adjusted the day of and Shawn never missed a beat. He was great with my family and their numerous song requests and he was so good at reading the mood of the crowd. We had people on the dance floor the ENTIRE reception. Customer service was fantastic as well, responses were always turned around within 24 hours. Best decision we made was going with Shawn and Subsonic DJs.

We originally had booked Shawn with Subsonic, but due to health concerns, he could not work our event. However, he was great in bringing in a replacement DJ, Skylar and he was fantastic! He played a great set of songs, and the whole party was a huge success! We loved how much everyone was dancing and it helps when the DJ is great!

Shawn is a fantastic DJ! My husband and I found Shawn by researching and reading his great reviews. He was fantastic to work with. Up until the event he had amazing communication and was willing to capture our overall wedding image. Since we had a destination wedding, I didn't get to meet Shawn in person until the day of the event, but it felt like I already knew him. He arrived early and had everything set up beautifully for the event. My husband and I love the show Parks and Recreation, and we wanted to enter to the theme song when walking into the reception. Shawn did a great job with this and everyone had a good time. We also have quite a bit of family who are OSU fans, and he had no problem playing the fight song as tribute to them at 8:30 when the game was supposed to start. I cannot speak highly enough of Shawn. He is fantastic to work with. Book him now!

Subsonic dj'd my daughter's wedding reception. We had a variety of music to make the evening enjoyable for everyone. Sean Estep even played the Ohio State fight song as Ohio State kicked off during the reception. Wonderful fun and quality.

Shawn was absolutely incredible! He was great to work with from consultation all the way to our big day! His online tools for selecting music and providing info was a great and easy way to communicate. We were so impressed with his sound equipment, led screens, and the uplighting was incredible! He was able to provide music for our outside ceremony, cocktail hour space, and the reception. He had great ideas to make the night fun, personal, and memorable. Shaun was amazing!!! He paid attention to every detail that I wanted for my wedding. He was very professional but at the same time very cool and amazing to work with. I loved when we went for our first meeting how he went through every piece of equipment that is available to you and explains what everything does or what it can do! His product knowledge is astounding and you can tell right away he LOVES what he does! I am going to refer any friends of mine that need a DJ to him and or use him for any type of musical needs I have in the future. Shawn was absolutely wonderful! My husband and I started our planning VERY early, so we could do tons of research. Shawn was he first DJ that I reached out to, and we booked within a few days! He was SO quick to respond to all of my emails (and believe me, there were a TON) and was so incredibly helpful with all of my questions and concerns. He has an online event planning website, where you can chose songs, must play, play if time, and do not play. You also can make notes, and select first dance, etc. It was very user friendly! Once it got closer, we were in contact often. He called a week prior, to make sure that everything was all set, and went over ALL of the notes from my planner, and me to make sure he knew exactly what we wanted. The day of, everything was perfect! The dance floor was packed the entire night! He stuck to our must play list, and added a few others as well that were a hit! He was more affordable than most, and much more helpful, responsive, and did such a GREAT job!!!!

Two separate couple recommended Shawn to us and now I see why! Shawn provided his services to us for our wedding reception in Winter Park this past week, and we could not be more pleased! Communication with him was quick and professional; he is incredibly detail-oriented and made sure he knew exactly what we wanted; he showed up early and overly prepared! We had SO many changes, even minutes before things were scheduled to occur, and he accommodated them with ease and never made us feel needy (though we certainly were). He is organized and kept our night on track. He hyped up our friends and families and we had so much fun! From the jazzy mood music at dinner to the upbeat party music for dancing, he was spot-on! Everything was family-friendly and he played nothing from our "do not play" list (which means so much to me!) He also provided lighting and a screen complete with our names and wedding date, it was so beautiful and added so much to our night! I highly recommend him!!

We very so very pleased with shawn's performance! He was the best! He made sure the crowd was going and kept our wedding live! He did exceptionally at his job! He was very open and willing to everything we wanted. My parents are from Laos and we forgot our cd to play. Shawn was able to pull up some Lao music and my parents and their friends were able to join in on the dancing. Any requests guests asked he was also able to pull up. Mostly importantly we seen the passion in Shawn and what he does! So with that great quality we knew he'll be a great Dj for us! Our wedding day was definitely a success and memorable because of him! We could not be more pleased with the DJ services provided. Shawn did an excellent job and was so professional. I cant find one upset in the service or pricing it was all great!! At first we were not going to hire a DJ and have a family member do the DJ work but then we decided that we wanted someone professional ( at the last minute) and we found Subsonic, so for us finding a DJ last minute, Shawn was awesome and easy to work with and definitely understood everything we wanted. One of the best things we did when planning our wedding was hire SubSonic. Shawn was so accommodating with all of our requests and guided us through the whole process of planning the music for the reception. He uses a software that helps you plan each song for all of the important introductions, and when we couldn’t come up with a specific song we liked, we could pull information about the most common songs for those times, like the flower toss, cutting the cake, etc.

In addition to the music, we also hired them for the photo booth, bubble machine, and had a projection screen with our monogram at the rehearsal. Those elements really set the stage for an unforgettable event that our guests really enjoyed.

I have to say though, a lot of companies probably offer some of the same things, like a photo booth, monogram, etc., but they don’t have the customer service and attentiveness that Shawn and his staff offers. We even forgot to bring out photo book home from the reception after the wedding had ended, and Shawn arranged a time to meet with us to drop it off. He goes above and beyond for his clients. All DJ’s are not created equal! He is superb!

We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding with Shawn! We got many compliments from guests throughout the night and afterwards. We did a TON of research beforehand and considered practically every DJ in the Orlando area, and I have no doubt we made the best choice in Shawn. He was very easy to communicate with throughout the entire process and very responsive. His online planning tools were very easy to use and made music planning very simple. We requested a specific version of a lesser-known Frank Sinatra song for our first dance and he was able to get us the correct version and made absolute certain beforehand that he had the version we were looking for. People stayed on the dance floor all night with no encouragement! Everything ran very smoothly timeline-wise as well, and the shoe game was a blast. He also did uplighting and a monogram gobo light for us, all of which was beautiful and added so much to the entire vibe of the reception, and we also did our photobooth through him. Our guests loved it and getting all the photos at the end was so fun! No regrets at all in choosing Subsonic, an incredibly strong vendor. Thank you Shawn!

Shawn was such an asset to have at our wedding - I know it would not have run as smoothly or been as fun without Shawn's guidance. We hired Subsonic for both the reception DJ services and Ceremony sound / audio along with market lighting for our outdoor event. Preparing for the event, we completed all the details on his online forms which were great and then talked through it all before the wedding so any questions would be clarified and we were on the same page for the event. For coordinating the market light layout, he joined us for a site visit a few weeks before the wedding and we talked about the vision for the lighting - it turned out spectacular - Brought the whole event area outside together. He cued all the music for our ceremony (we opted not to use a day-of wedding planner) for the processionals so everyone knew when to walk, and mic'd up the officiant and groom for the sound prior the ceremony. We had a little hiccup at the start with the shuttle bus bringing guests to the venue and he handled it so wonderfully I'm sure the guests didn't even notice. When it was my cue the ceremony was starting, he let me know it was time to roll and off we went! We did have a friend play saxophone for the cocktail hour as well so they coordinated and discussed any fill-in music and how long he would play before Shawn needed to cue up the dinner music / reception entry songs. For the reception introductions and dances, he was such a great coordinator and led the whole night. All the guests said we could not have picked a better DJ.

When I was picking a DJ for the wedding - I was planning everything from out of town, so you wonder - how on earth do you pick a DJ over the phone? Can you actually tell their personality and envision them in action? Well after talking to many DJ's - as soon as I spoke with Shawn on the phone, I knew he would be the perfect fit. Laid back, yet organized and fun. Responsive and Professional.

So, my husband and I married November 21st of this year - and I have been thinking of the perfect words to describe Shawn Estep and his services. Shawn was referred to me by a friend who used him and said that he was the "best in town". You hear that a lot, so I thought I would check it out. MY husband worked for Universal Records for almost a decade, owns his own artist management company and our wedding was music themed - so finding the perfect DJ was imperative. From the second we met Shawn, we knew he was PERFECT for us. His high energy level, positive and excited demeanor, and his willingness to help just overflowed all over the place. Any time I had a question, I could text him - and even if he was busy he would respond with "I'm currently at a gig, can I text you later?" - he never let me wait. I am a very "communication is key" kind of person and he was on it! At the wedding, he had to deal with ELEVEN groomsmen and ELEVEN bridesmaids and he did so with grace and ease. He made sure everyone was in line, all names were pronounced perfectly and he had every single song I wanted played at the time I wanted it played. He has this amazing online system where you can customize your own playlist with as much direction as you want. He is one of the most selfless people I have ever met, and I would never ever hire another DJ for anything...we are using his photobooth at my company Christmas party too!! He is more than just a DJ...he kept surprises my husband had in store for me (Grammy nominated artist Carolyn Malachi came to sing our first dance to us - and Shawn didn't say a peep!) and he supplied all of the curtains for the backdrops in our venue....he's so amazing....I had a TON of guests say that he really made the wedding. I am so so happy we found him. If you don't use him - you are insane and will be missing out. Love you Shawn! THANK YOU AGAIN!

Shawn was incredible to work with. Such a professional! He was full of ideas on how to get people up and dancing. Throughout the process, he would respond almost immediately and was always so kind and helpful. On the day of the wedding, he was there early, had a great setup and even dressed appropriately. If you don't use Sub-Sonic Event DJ then you chose the wrong DJ for your event! DJ Shawn is the BEST! The city that I am from, our DJ's mix and scratch their music! I searched and searched through different DJ's and could never find what I was looking for UNTIL I searched on Google and found Sub-Sonic. Sub-Sonic Event communication was superb! There was not a moment where I felt like I was being ignored. Previous DJ's weren't even emailing me back which was disappointing, so any bride that demands for perfect communication Sub-Sonic Event is the vendor to pick! DJ Shawn not only was easy to work with, but he took my vision and gave me EXACTLY what I wanted and more! He treated us like we were family instead of another customer which made comfort levels at its best! He kept everyone on the dance floor and there was NOT ONE PERSON who did not like the music! People are STILL talking about how much they loved my DJ and of course my wedding! His pricing is reasonable and his passion for music shows in his work! Subsonic Event DJ's was amazing to work with. Our event was very different from the average wedding reception. We had a theme that was truly Orlando. Shawn was instrumental in getting us everything that we needed to pull off the event, that our friends say was the best party they have ever attended. We required DJ services, but Shawn was able to go much farther than that by finding us entertainers and providing additional equipment on demand. We put their services to the test and they passed with flying colors. The value for the money was excellent. The equipment is first class and the service was personal and professional. Even when one of our entertainers was unable to complete the event in the final weeks, Shawn was able to find us a replacement that I believe made the event even better.
There are a lot of options when it comes to DJ's in Orlando, but for our money, we feel we found the best around. Not many people would have approached a unique event with such an open mind. From professional lighting, to sound effects, to drag queens, to a refurbished park bench, to a full fog-filled disco setting, Subsonic had us covered. We would definitely call them first should we do another party in the future.

Being on the dance floor is one of my favorite things to do so choosing a DJ was a big decision. From our initial meeting with Shawn I knew he would be the perfect choice for our wedding. Shawn's upbeat energy makes him so fun to be around. Throughout the process Shawn was always very responsive and answered any questions I had a long the way. He had a lot of great ideas to make our reception unique. He was a true professional and I felt confident leaving everything in his hands. On our wedding day Shawn rocked the house! We were delighted with the DJ 's services and professionalism for our daughter's recent wedding at the Winter Park Civic Center. We first met with Shaun at his place of business where he showed us all that we could choose from for both the sound and the lighting package. We were thrilled with how it all came out. He provided the music for both the wedding outside as well as the reception in the ballroom. The music was great and he was very receptive to requests throughout the evening from our guests. The lighting package was spectacular and provided a fairytale effect to the night, which it really turned out to be. We also had a beautiful monogram that was on one huge wall behind the Sweetheart table which was gorgeous. Additionally while eating dinner to great music for talking at the table, he played a video my son-in-law made which was really nice. He was fun and kept the evening moving with the wedding activities until the very end with the great send off! It was a fun reception in large part to Shaun's handling of everything.

Without a doubt, Shawn was phenomenal! The music was great and everyone at the wedding said how much they loved the DJ. Shawn was so patient with all of my indecisiveness. I didn't even need a coordinator at the wedding reception because he did it all. The reception went so smooth simply because of Shawn. He even prepared CD's for me at the last minute for my ceremony music. Shawn was the best choice I made for my wedding. He was also very reasonably priced compared to all of the other vendors. I will definitely use him again for any event that I have.

We had such an amazing time at our reception, thanks to Shawn and the team at Sub-Sonic Events! We loved the ability to pick out our "must-play songs" and our "please do not play" songs ;), and the guys did an excellent job mixing in our requests with other great music to keep the party going. I must have spent 75% of my wedding reception on the dance floor, and I loved it! Shawn was fun and easy to work with, and I would absolutely hire him again.

I was told the most important choice of planning the wedding of your dreams was selecting your DJ! If you get a bad dj then you no matter how great your venue is or you look it can be ruin by the DJ you select. I am so grateful I picked Shawn from Subsonic Events DJ services. He was on top of it from the first call to him, he always responded quickly and made it super easy for us to create the perfect entertainment for our guest. He was friendly and professional, cost was very reasonable for the length of time, sound equiptment and lighting he provided. DJ Shawn provided Dj services at Brevard Zoo in Melbourne Florida. He did an AMAZING job! He was very organized and prompt with everything we needed. My husband and I would recommend him to anyone who wants to have an amazing time at their wedding. He even threw in a cute little shoe game that I didn't even know about, which I absolutely loved and had a lot of our guests laughing with enjoyment. What can I say, we had an amazing experience with Shawn. My husband and I spent several days looking for a DJ a thousand miles away. We live in San Diego and was having our big day at the Hard Rock. Shawn worked with us from start to finish. Not one missed email, phone call, or text message from him. He was always right there to assist with the 1001 questions that I had. On our wedding day Shawn brought along an assistant that was bomb.com. Their interaction with the Bridal party and our guest was remarkable. I can't thank you enough. My son Cameron enjoyed every minute of the night and said Shawn was "Cool", lol. I thought that was cute.

We are currently planning our one year anniversary party and will be sure to contact Shawn again for another hands down experience.

First off let me tell you that planning your wedding requires a lot of attention and work. Looking for a DJ is a pretty important part so let me describe the experience with Shawn. First I'm a guy and don't know much when it comes to this stuff but I know a good person when I see one due to my profession. Right off the cuff Shawn was full of information. I went looking for a DJ and I got someone who obviously has been doing this for some time and was more than happy helping us set things up so that everything would go smoothly. He asked a lot of questions to personalize his services. Shawn had a bunch of great ideas and his site was easy to use because picking songs is a process and his site allowed us to work on it a little at a time so that it wasn't overwhelming. Shawn also had many tips and suggestions towards when to do things and how to do it so that it ran smooth and there wasn't any down time or odd silences or just wasted time and we listened. Shawn had many choices of lighting and cool toys to make it things look jazzed up, he worked a great price out for us and delivered. What we got was a well-managed, smooth, dancetastic evening where the dance floor was never empty unless it was supposed to be! Shawn worked with all the vendors and made announcements so people knew where they needed to be and made it there in time. We met Shawn for DJ services and what we got was a whole lot more. He was professional,fun, creative and helpful. Everyone said that he was the best one they had seen and my friends I have been to 15 in the last 3 years! So now that I have made his head too big for hats, I'll leave you with this, there are Dj's in this business and there are Professionals like Shawn that will take some of the headaches away and give you that little extra to make your special night unlike any other. You want to make your friends jealous work your budget and hire this guy he is worth every penny.

Our 2015 Convention "Night at the Tropicana" event was amazingly successful thanks to Shawn Estep and Daniel. The lighting of his DJ stand created a wonderful ambience, as did his uplighting that was along our walls. It was exactly the atmosphere we were looking for.Shawn worked with 25-30 different amateurs (average age 72) to help us put on a nightclub style show and his ability to adapt to us was amazing. He worked with our 2 MC's and instantly responded when we had to change something. The show ran flawlessly thanks to him, and we are so grateful I highly recommend Shawn, and thanks to Daniel who helped him set-up, worked with him on the lighting and the audio, and worked with the hotel videographer. Daniel also provided the back-up that Shawn sorely needed several times. Good job and well done!

Shawn @ Subsonic Event DJs was phenomenal! I knew from my first conversation with him that signing a contract with him was one of the best things I could do for my wedding! He was very responsive to emails/ phonecalls, and walked me through a sample reception schedule, etc. on the phone when I told him I had no idea when people should dance, cut cake, do bouquet toss, etc. The day of the wedding we were running late and he seamlessly adjusted his schedule so that we never felt rushed or like anything was left out. Basically, Shawn was a total professional in every sense of the word.

Shawn came to the venue a couple days beforehand to scope out the place, see where he would set up, see if he needed extension cords (it was an outdoor property) and look for up-lighting possibilities. I loved that he didn't pressure me to purchase the extra up-lighting package, but came prepared the day of anyway when in the morning I told him I'd changed my mind and did want all the trees and statues up-lit. My venue manager was very impressed with Shawn and said he was the most professional DJ she had worked with on her property.

When it came to keeping the party going he was totally attuned to the flow of energy, and did a great job of choosing music for the people on the dance floor (although I swear I happened to be at the photobooth taking pics with non-dancers during each of my favorite songs!!). He also kept us all on schedule with regard to bouquet/ garter toss, father/daughter dance, etc. running out and catching me to give me a headsup that XYZ was coming up. He was a really funny MC too during the shoe game, and I look forward to seeing the video of that because we couldn't see eachother's answers and sometimes we were like, wait-- why are our answers funny? We got LOTS of comments from family and guests about how great our DJ was!

Sub-Sonic Event DJ s is the best option in Central Florida. When I star looking a DJ for my wedding reception, I call so many DJs and nobody answer my call in the moment. Someones answers 2 days after my calls. When I speak about what I need for my wedding ( music & lighting atmosphere) every body have establish prices in different packet I don't need . To every bride out there that is nervous about picking the right Dj on their wedding day!!!! Shawn was more than just a Dj on my wedding day. He was my piece of mind, my coordinator, and the life of my wedding. I the bride, planned my whole back yard wedding. I couldn't afford to hire a wedding planner or a wedding coordinator, and that right there is enough to turn any bride into bridezilla, but Shawn was that one thing that made me know everything was going to work out as perfectly as i imagined on my wedding day. And he did too. My family is on the little bit of the crazy side, they are very unorganized, and a bunch of procrastinators, without Shawn my wedding would have been a disaster. He provided order from beginning to end . My family and friends even ranted and raved on "how amazing the Dj was". He let everyone know what was going on at all times. He is so easy to talk, and what is important to you is important to him. He is full of advice and help if you need it, every step of the way. If you have any questions he is there is answer them. What surprised me the most was how he helped fixed the string of lights that went out during the reception!!!! I knew at all times what was going to happen next, he kept my family informed for the most important moments and made sure we were ready for them. I NEVER felt nervous for one moment and that right there was the best wedding gift i could have gotten on my wedding day.

My wife and I had our wedding reception at the Maitland Civic Center on February 21st, 2015 and Shawn Estep was our DJ and MC from Sub-Sonic Event DJ's. He was awesome and we could not have done it without him! The web portal that he had setup for our wedding reception was very organized and intuitive to use; the playlist selection was fantastic and everyone from our event loved it! Originally, we did not get the lighting package. After he demonstrated and recommended some of the uplights, it turned out to be a must-have for that location! Shawn also did our wedding games, which was essential for our event! We couldn't be happier with our DJ/MC; he made it happened! We would recommend him to all wedding events!

Shawn and his team are AMAZING! We used DJ, karaoke and photo montage services for a recent company party and couldn't be happier. Communication throughout the entire process was excellent, always receiving a response within 24 hours. His online booking tools were super easy and convenient, as well as the extra assistance using dropbox to put together our photo slide show. Lastly, the night of our event, the team was there and almost entirely set-up BEFORE we arrived. They were extremely professional, followed the schedule, adapted to the crowd and even extended our end time when asked. Thank you, thank you! We are so grateful to have found someone like Shawn to DJ our wedding. We got a lot of help from previous client's reviews on here when we were making our decision so we wanted to make sure we returned the favor. One thing I really liked when researching his website was that everything was priced individually. We weren't forced to choose a certain package just so we could have uplighting. The prices were straight forward and very fair in comparison to what I was seeing out there... We were blown away upon our first consultation. We signed the contract and put our deposit down the following day because his passion for what he does is very evident and we knew we were in great hands. We even recommended him to a cousin of a friend whose wedding was coming up before ours based off our first interaction alone. They were beyond pleased and all we heard was glowing feedback about his services. He really thinks of everything. He had a bunch of fun ideas and gadgets for the garter toss, bouquet toss, and wedding in general that was super helpful. He was honestly there to help us throughout the whole process from mixing songs last minute for our dances, to helping us navigate the website, which is really user-friendly. Shawn was amazing, from the beginning when we met with him until the last moment. What a pleasure to work with someone who is so responsive and efficient! He was so fast at responding to all of my emails with questions and requests. His website to add music was very good and easy to use and made the planning of the reception an easy task. He was always ready and willing to help. He was an excellent DJ. When I stepped into the reception hall, I was amazed. The lighting that he brought made the place look spectacular. The DJ was the life of the party. He was the MC and kept everyone entertained and was always attentive and making sure that everything ran smoothly and that we were happy with what he was doing. Shawn made the reception be better than I could have ever imagined. Thank you Shawn for everything. I recommend him 100%!!

Simply put, Shawn was fantastic. We planned our wedding from out of state and he was always quick to respond to our emails and answer any questions we had. On wedding day he was the consummate professional. He was incredibly flexible during the ceremony and reception, always had a smile, graciously handled song requests from our guests, and kept everybody partying all night (in fact, we ended up asking him to stay an extra hour because our guests were having such a good time). Shawn was also a great MC, and made sure that we were on track while remaining flexible when things needed to be adjusted. My wife and I feel as though we received the highest level of service possible, and all of our family and friends were in agreement. Thank you Shawn! My husband and I can't say enough good things about Shawn with Sub Sonic. His website is informative and from the moment we met him, we knew he was the best choice for us. Shawn has a great set up for you to get the experience and he makes picking all your music choices easy. Shawn kept the music going and all of our guests had a great time dancing!! He also put some lighting in the room which help personalize the setting. He had so many choices for us! I would definitely recommend Shawn for your next event!

We can't thank DJ Shawn enough! He was such a huge part of making our day perfect. He wasn't overbearing but loved to provide ideas and solutions that really took our ceremony and reception to a whole new level. He wanted to be present when we walked through our venues and during the rehearsal so he could really get a feel for what direction we wanted the wedding to take, which we really appreciated. He hit every song on our "must play" list and also knew what to play to really get the crowd moving. He was a great MC and was very flexible to changes on the day of. What a great time! After spending months unsuccessfully looking for a DJ we finally found Shawn. He was everything we were looking for: professional, enthusiastic, prepared, and knowledgeable. Shawn stayed in contact with us from the beginning of the process until the very end, responding to every email quickly and thoroughly. We knew exactly what we were going to get and he delivered precisely what we agreed on. Although Shawn did not actually DJ our party personally, his substitute Chris, was incredibly energetic and professional. He hit every cue, like we had arranged, and kept everyone's energies up. I highly recommend Shawn for his professionalism and attentiveness alone. But really, our night would not have rocked as hard without his services, thanks.

We were referred to Shawn by our photographer Jesse Giles Photography. We went to his office to check out the lights & music. He gave us a preview of the equipment & we came together and decided on a package that would fit our needs. Shawn has always been very great at communicating with us. Any questions or concerns we had were quickly answered & satisfied. His prices are more than reasonable and he gave us a great deal on a full lighting package since we realized the space we were using would need MANY lights! I particularly loved how organized he is with his website and how we were able to find songs and choose them right there on our own client page. It had always been easy and fast communication between us and Shawn. I believe that he takes every clients needs personally and really wants you and your guests to have the best time of your lives. So he is careful to get every detail to your liking to ensure that this is the case!
A week before the big day, we got together and finalized the timeline for the reception to make sure everything ran smooth and how we wanted it. Since bride & groom are too busy having a good time to watch a clock, he came up to us to make sure we were ready for the next dance or speech, and made sure everyone participating was present before making the announcement, which would have been quite a gaff IF that had happened! But being the professional that he is, everything went smoothly and no one was the wiser that mom was in the bathroom at the time she was suppose to be dancing with her son!
He definitely fulfilled all of our DJ needs for our reception and everyone had a blast! If we have an event in the future that requires a DJ, we would be honored to have him play for us again! Thanks Shawn!

Shawn was outstanding and made us feel like family. From the time we arrived at the reception, to the time we had our last dance, he made us feel special. Shawn Estep was a great DJ for my wedding. He played all the songs i wanted to hear, plus some songs that were along the same lines as my song choices. He directed the entire wedding, and kept everything on time. He provided fun props to make the reception special and always kept me in the loop on everything. My husband and I hired Shawn Estep for his DJ services for our New Years Eve wedding. Being New Year's Eve we knew we had to have a DJ that would keep the party alive all night. Shawn was awesome! From the start of the ceremony to the last song after midnight, he never missed a beat! Our guests were complimenting us on him all night! We've been told many times that our wedding was the best wedding they've ever attended and I truly believe Shawn was a big part of that. I was a DIY bride, doing everything myself without a planner, and Shawn stepped right up, discussed a timeline with us and basically ran the show! I can't say enough good things about the service he provided, not to mention awesome dance floor lighting and uplighting. The best decision we made in wedding planning was to go with Shawn Estep and Subsonic events DJs! Highly recommend them to any bride and groom!

Shawn was absolutely amazing!! We loved having him as our DJ! He easily interpreted our style and kept the music going all night. His website for clients is also a plus with working with him. It allowed us to choose song we like and wanted played along with songs we didn't want to hear. We planned the timeline for the wedding, filled in important names and chose all of our wedding songs. It gave an organized approach and made it simple to give him all of the info. The prices were fair and competitive for the Orlando area as well. Shawn put my mind completely at ease each time we spoke and on the big day the venue was absolutely beautiful. The uplighting along with the strung lights in the barn made it truly magical. I would choose Subsonic Event DJs and Shawn again!! They were wonderful to work with!

We hired SubSonic Events DJ for a corporate event. We were in a hurry and rushed and Shawn was very responsive and we set the date, and all was blue skies. On the date of my event, we called Shawn to ask for an ETA, it was then we realized that I had reserved him for the following week...(call me a Thanksgiving mess organizer)....Shawn asked me for a few minutes and called me back, he had someone from his staff at our event at the original time promised.
This was my mistake and not once was I mande more nervous.....or did the company act in an unprofessional maner.
His DJ was completely professional, was happy to please requests, and put up with a group of over 150 people.

Thank you so much for helping us out and makeing our even unforegettable.....no one except me (and the DJ) new that I had made a mistake....

Shawn was so easy and such a joy to work with. He made all of the planning so easy - even from overseas! He responded to my emails quickly, even with the 8 hour time difference.

The music and energy was Great at the wedding and had us up dancing from the first to the last song. I loved that he was able and willing to download specific songs at our request but also at the request of our guest there on the spot!

Shawn Estep was the DJ at our wedding on 8/31 at the Hyatt Regency and he was absolutely AMAZING. We were so happy the we chose him. His performance was more than we could have asked for. Everyone from the wedding loved him and the work that he did. He got people on there feet and everyone enjoyed themselves. He was more than we could have asked for. The music was on point, he mixed it up. Our family had the best time ever. His presentation of his equipment and his attire was presentable. He was friendly and he was easy to talk too. He was very knowledgeable of the job and time was no issue. I would refer him to anyone and would give him an overall rating of Excellent, nothing but A+++. The price was reasonable as well. It was all sooo worth it !

Thanks so much for everything and we will remember this day for a lifetime : )

Shawn is very professional and very flexible for the last minute changes we had at our wedding. He listened to my concerns and made sure that he wouldn't do what he was ask not to do. DJ Sean was awesome. We were supposed to have our reception outside, but because of the weather we were forced to do it inside in a room that didn't look to pretty. Shawn did my wedding in January and was absolutely amazing. He was the DJ for my brothers wedding in April 2012 and after his amazing job at my brothers I knew I had to have him. He had the most efficient website that allowed you to pick all songs you could think of and have them saved and sent to him. He also performed a slideshow at my wedding and synchronized it to music with wonderful graphics in the background. As a surprise to me him and his co-worker ended up taking roughly 600 or so pictures through out the entire night which he sent to me and they were awesome. He responded immediately to emails and questions that I had. My wedding was absolutely amazing and the dance floor was never empty and it was because of Shawn. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone I know getting married or any other events. Thank you Shawn for helping my wedding be perfect

Our wedding was a smaller wedding, destination wedding (25 people), so finding a DJ & other vendors for that matter, was very stressful. We wanted vendors that we could trust in, to make our day as special as we wanted it and we had to build that trust over the phone. Shawn returned our call promptly and immediatley made us feel comfortable in using him as our DJ & had all the answers to our questions. Shawn truly made our reception a night to remember. The lighting, the music, his personality .. couldn't have asked for a better DJ. I couldn't thank Sub-Sonic DJ's enough for making our wedding night extra special! Also, for me being a bride who needed some guidance on music choices and ideas for fun things to do throughout the night, Shawn was spot on & guided us the whole way. AWESOME!!! AWESOME!!! What more can we say. From our initial meeting with Shawn, to suggestions on songs, where and when to put special dances. Through the post event review it has been an effortless stress free process. The mulit-colored lights for the perimeter of the room. Lasers on the dance floor and how everything meshed together are still being talked about by our guests. We contacted a couple of different companies and showing professionalism and respect for what we wanted earned Shawn the job of working our wedding. Shawn did a superb job in our wedding! He is truly talented and a wonderful MC. He was responsive from the beginning to the end in preparing ideas for the ceremony and reception. He is also creative by placing lighting around the reception and ideas of what music should be played. Moreover, all the songs that we had requested for Shawn he was able to play all of them. Sub-Sonic Event DJs provided Uplighting & Custom Monogram with their DJ Services for my reception. Shawn really is a professional and was very energetic without being over the top. Our guest had an amazing time, and danced all night long. So much so that our legs were sore for two days after. He was very easy to speak with during the planning stages and offered some really great suggestions for our decor. We could not have been happier with our choice. DJ Shawn is fantastic. He is very enthusiastic and energetic. He is excellent at responding to email, phone call, and text messages. If he is unable to talk at that moment he always got back to me within 24 hours. He is very flexible and trustworthy, which is very important for any bride to have in one of her vendors, especially the DJ. He met me at my reception site several times to go over the details and bounce ideas off of each other. By doing this, he customizes everything to fit his clients style and needs.
