Stylus was AMAZING and we loved DJ Brickhouse!

Stylus DJ Entertainment was incredible and so easy to work with! From the beginning we knew we wanted to have a woman DJ and a DJ who would lead the night, but also kind of go with the flow and be chill. We had DJ Brickhouse at our wedding in Philly at the Crystal Tea Room and she was awesome! We had a pre-made playlist made and DJ Brickhouse did an awesome job at including our must plays and adding her own choices based on our playlist. The ceremony music was perfect as was cocktail hour and dinner. We were dancing all night during the reception and we almost didn’t eat our dinner because we were having so much fun on the dance floor! All our guests kept saying (and keep saying) it was banger after banger on the dance floor and that is exactly the vibe we wanted. DJ Brickhouse also had a photobooth that we used for a very reasonable price and her co-workers were wonderful too! Cannot recommend enough!

Highly Recommend Stylus DJ team & DJ Jen!!

We could not have asked for a better DJ experience than what we had with Jen Urban from Stylus DJ Entertainment! We wanted someone who was fun, warm, queer-inclusive, and open to collaborating with the unique vision we had for our wedding- and Jen was all that and more!
Our day started with two drag queens performing live alongside Jen’s music, and ended with two drummers playing throughout the crowd- and Jen managed it all flawlessly! She kept the energy flowing, the transitions seamless, and the vibe absolutely perfect from start to finish.
Beyond her incredible talent behind the booth, Jen was so kind, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in making our day as special as possible. She even helped us choose our ceremony songs, including the walk down the aisle music, and took care to make sure everything felt personal and true to us. By the end of the night, it truly felt like Jen was part of our family, cheering us on and celebrating right alongside us.
We can’t recommend Jen and the Stylus team enough!

Excellent job

We had an excellent experience working with DJ Jen and Stylus for our wedding! The process from Stylus was very clear and efficient, and DJ Jen brought superb skill and energy to the process beforehand and creativity on the day. Guidelines for what to play or not play were respected, with a pool of songs for Jen to work her creative magic with and she did a great job. She was also very excited for, kind, and caring towards us, the bride and groom. Value was extremely high.

DJ Jen is awesome!!

DJ Jen was an absolute dream to work with and truly made our wedding! From the ceremony to the last dance, she nailed every single moment with style, professionalism, and the most incredible energy.
We had a mix of music tastes—R&B and pop from the 2000s to today on my end, and oldies and timeless classics from my partner—and Jen blended it all perfectly. It never felt disjointed; the entire night flowed seamlessly with songs that had everyone on the dance floor, from our young niece and nephew to my 94 year old grandma and all friends in between!
Beyond the music, Jen was a total pro with the timeline and logistics. She kept everything running smoothly—whether it was coordinating the ceremony music (our friend sang live) to perfectly timing key moments. We felt supported and totally at ease all night, which let us really soak in every second (as it flew by in a blur).
Guests haven’t stopped talking about how great the music and energy were, and we couldn’t agree more. DJ Jen is not only incredibly talented, but also warm, detail-oriented, and so much fun. If you're looking for someone who truly gets the assignment and brings the party—she’s it. Book her now and thank us later!

We loved dj jim!

Huge shout out to DJ Jim at Stylus! My wife and I have pretty "eclectic" taste in music. We were super worried about finding a DJ that would "get" what we were going for. When we had our intake call with Jane she didn't even hesitate - she knew immediately that Jim was the right fit for us. And she couldn't have been more right!

Our wedding was "Krautrock" themed - think Kraftwerk, Can, Neu!, and Harmonia. If that means nothing to you - you're not alone! They are very niche bands from the 70's German rock scene...And Jim knew every one of their catalogs! The whole process honestly felt like putting together a party playlist with an old friend. Jim did a great job of keeping true to our vision while steering us in the right direction to keep the dance floor hopping all night.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Stylus to anyone looking for a wedding DJ. Jim was truly awesome and given how niche our music taste is I can't help but think they have the right fit for anyone.

Can't recommend more highly

Stylus and DJ Paul Collins were a delight to work with from start to finish. Paul was warm, funny, receptive, and totally reliable. We gave him a long list of must-play songs, which he sequenced brilliantly and augmented with some bangers that we'd overlooked. The dance floor was packed for more than 3 hours. He also covered the ceremony and the cocktail hour, and everything went off without a hitch. We can't recommend him -- and Stylus -- highly enough.

We loved working with Stylus DJ Entertainment!! From the intake call with Jane, who really took the time to get to know us, I knew that Stylus was going to deliver. She gave us several options for DJs, but felt that DJ Mariko would be the best fit, and she couldn't have been more right. Not just a vendor, a partner!

We worked with DJ Jim for our NYC wedding and we're so glad we did! He didn't feel like just a vendor, he felt like a partner. His and Jane's communication was prompt and thorough from the jump. DJ Mariko is the Best!

We hired DJ Mariko from Stylus for our wedding at Callicoon Hills on 5/10/25, and it could not have been better. We are an introverted, anxious couple, and we were worried that it would be entirely on us to get the energy up so that people would dance. But from the moment the dance floor opened to the very last song, it was PACKED. The transition to a new song that was even better than the last really made it hard to leave the dance floor, and everyone kept telling us how great the music was. Literally everyone we spoke to told us that our DJ was the best they’d ever seen at a wedding. We also skipped all the traditional things (grand entrances/first dance/cake cutting, etc), and she was totally on board with our vision of basically throwing a rager without the traditional interruptions. Because of this, we were worried that everyone would get tired after a while with so much extra time for dancing, but that wasn’t a problem at all. Nobody wanted to stop dancing, and the energy lasted long after the reception ended and we headed to our after party.

She also handled the music and audio for our ceremony, which was in the woods on a windy day alongside a very loud and roaring creek after five days straight of rainfall. We were very concerned that nobody would be able to hear our vows above all the noise, but Mariko’s sound equipment and microphone made it easy for all 140 of our guests to hear us perfectly.

We loved working with Mariko. Anybody looking for a great DJ in the New York area should hire her, especially if you want the energy of your wedding to be organic and vibey and fun all night long.

DJ Mariko is amazing

The short version: DJ Mariko is the best!! Hire her, you will not regret it!

The long version: We worked with Mariko for all 8 hours of our wedding. She was wonderful and worked from guests arriving before the ceremony, through the processional, through the recessional, through the cocktail hour, through dinner, and then brought the house down for all 4 hours of dancing. Everyone at the wedding told us how good the music was. She took the time to get to know our musical interests, but we mostly let her do her thing. The music felt very us without us having to think about it at all. She is able to keep the dance floor filled or have a calmer place to hang and chat with everyone.

All aspects of the wedding felt like their own moment, the welcoming was different from the cocktail hour was different from the dinner. It made our wedding feel like an epic multipart event but was still truly us. We feel so lucky to have had her for our event!!

She was so good that we already want to figure out another event to hire her for... And we just finished planning the wedding. So, to reiterate, DJ Mariko is the absolute best! Get her for your wedding.

10/10 mariko is the best

After two years of planning, preparing, and stressing; after the slowly building anticipation of the biggest day of your life; after exchanging your vows in front of your most important and treasured loved ones—do not underestimate how good it will feel to DANCE!

DJ Mariko is the perfect guide for that celebration.

Mariko can read the vibe of the room like no other. She kept all our guests happy with hits for the children through the seventy-somethings. My siblings and I kept doing double takes because even our PARENTS were on the dance floor (“has this ever happened??”).

Mariko kept the party going seamlessly until the very end of the night. We had so much fun dancing, in fact, we completely missed the dessert table.

An actual quote from the dance floor: “I’m DYING for a bad song, I need to take a break so bad”
Another quote: “I may never walk again why did I wear these shoes??”

Jane was also fantastic to work with — she listened carefully to our needs, was kind and responsive, and helped match us with the perfect DJ for our special day.

Book with mariko!

My husband and I are so happy we booked with Stylus for our wedding. DJ Mariko was the most amazing asset to our wedding day. Working with Mariko leading up to the day was seamless. She made us feel seen, heard and valued through the entire process.
The day of was more than we could’ve hoped for. Her insight and thoughtfulness helped all of our guests, and us, have the most amazing time.
Her sets were perfect and versatile, and she made the flow of the day absolutely seamless.

Amazing Experience!

Jen is an awesome DJ! From the moment we met her, we knew that we were going to get along quite well, bonding over our love of Taylor Swift. When looking for DJs for our wedding, we specifically were searching for DJs whose style was not the typical, over-the-top personality that we’ve experienced at other weddings. Jen’s energy was a breath of fresh air: down-to-earth, attentive, and just a very cool person overall. Music is very important to us and she took our (many) recommendations in stride and curated an incredible vibe, from the ceremony through to the party. Our guests (and other vendors!) were raving about how much they enjoyed the music. We actually don’t consider ourselves big dancers and yet we were on the dance floor with our guests all night! We Love DJ Mariko!

DJ Mariko was fantastic! We told her our vision and she executed it perfectly. She was very thorough in her consultation because she wanted our wedding to be exactly to our liking. An unforgettable experience with DJ Jen!

DJ Jen helped make our wedding that much more special! We had a party of roughly 50 folks in a small-medium sized venue, and DJ Jen navigated everything with ease. Essential for any wedding!

DJ Mariko played at our friend's wedding, and we were SO happy she was available for ours because she is amazing. She is super easy to work with and takes time to get to know you as a couple and what your vibe is. After just a few songs sent over, she was able to put together an amazing playlist for our wedding that kept people on the dance floor all night. She is an expert at reading the room and playing off the vibe. So many guests talked about the music at the wedding and how it was amazing from cocktail hour all the way through the last song, which is no easy feat! On top of that, she was super organized, really helped us manage the flow of the wedding, took any requests we had, and MC’d everything perfectly. We HIGHLY recommend her for anyone looking for a DJ for a wedding or event!

Working with Stylus and DJ Mariko truly MADE our wedding.

So many of our friends - even people who weren't at our wedding have asked for our DJ's information because everyone raved about the DJ at our wedding! Some friends telling us it was, "the best way to spend their birthday weekend", "the best dance party of my life, with all of my favorite people", one of our close friends danced so hard he ripped his pants, and considered it a badge of honor! We had DJ Mariko at our wedding and we couldn’t be happier! From the first time we met her we immediately felt comfortable and could tell that she took our preferences and opinions to heart. DJ Mariko kept us dancing all night!

My wife and I loved working with Stylus DJ, Jane and DJ Mariko are fantastic!!! After reaching out to Stylus, Jane sent us a list of different DJs and their styles and experience. We chose DJ Mariko and she was a perfect fit! During planning, she shared a document with us that was used to capture all of the details of our wedding--the vibe, the kind of music we wanted, the timeline, and all of our expectations. We met with Mariko a few weeks before the wedding and went over everything, and all throughout she was super attentive, thoughtful, and thorough, and she totally got our wedding vision.

On the day of the wedding she was prompt, upbeat, super friendly, and kept our guests on the dance floor the whole night. Mariko played all of the songs that my wife and I requested, kept our schedule on track throughout the evening with her emceeing, and maintained the perfect vibe and volume for each stage of our cocktail hour and reception; several of our guests told us afterward that they appreciated that they were able to actually talk to each other while still getting to dance and enjoy the music, whereas at so many other weddings they’d been to they couldn’t even hear the people next to them at their tables. Everyone was sad when the last dance song was announced, as were we--we didn’t want the night to end! We’re so happy we got to work with Mariko and Stylus DJ, we cannot recommend them enough!

DJing so good, guests needed to dance to even the dinner songs!

To summarize simply, Mariko is the greatest for so many reasons: her passion, her *chef’s kiss* dance floor management, her professionalism, and the fun she brings.

For the longer version:

We knew going into our wedding that it was really important to us to have a female DJ (hello underrepresentation), but also that it was really important to work with someone who would have just as much fun as we knew we’d have. We’d contacted Jane at Stylus, who then sent us a number of DJs under her with mixes, among which Mariko was (obviously) a standout. We listened to her wedding mixes and felt like it jived with our tastes, and loved that we became exposed to some new artists and songs. We also liked knowing that Mariko DJs in non-wedding settings too.

What really sold us, though, was when we met with Mariko the first time. She is so passionate about what she does. We really wanted to prioritize a packed dance floor above all else, and Mariko immediately picked up on that and threw out some suggestions for how to make that happen. More than that, though, we felt that Mariko had a level of investment in us having the best experience with our wedding after only just meeting us that we couldn’t imagine going with another DJ.

The process of getting to the wedding with Mariko was a Type-A person’s dream (and even if you’re not Type A, Mariko is always armed with suggestions): she provided us with a super detailed questionnaire, was insanely responsive to emails, and also offered some thoughts when we asked her to cut some music for us for our entrance and first dance. When we met a couple of weeks before the wedding, Mariko was super detailed and clear about what she needed. She gave us valuable tips and recommendations too!

When we saw her on the wedding day we hugged as if we’d been long-time friends, and honestly, it was the perfect way to start off the next phase of the day. Throughout the day, it was clear to us how thoughtfully Mariko created our set lists. She played songs that were very clearly inspired by some of our must plays, did an AMAZING job MCing (to the point where our last song experience remains one of our top moments of the day), and also had so much fun that many of our guests complimented not just her setlist, but also her own enjoyment.

Top notch service and support

A wonderful company to support! We had no idea what we wanted for our wedding music or timeline of events, but they helped guide us. DJ Mariko is absolutely fantastic! We sent a short list of bands/genres we liked and DJ Mariko put together a wonderful playlist. We received so many compliments on the music all night, even the other event staff stopped to mention how great the playlist was. Thank you DJ Mariko!!

We had a wonderful experience with DJ Paul

We recently had the pleasure of working the DJ Paul Collins of Stylus DJ Entertainment, and he was awesome. We felt very comfortable with him from the moment we started emailing, to our first face to face zoom planning call, to our actual wedding day. He listened to and fully understood all our requests, and gracefully accepted any additions and changes we wanted to make along the way. We had an incredible dance party with all our favorite tracks thanks to him, and a mellow jazzy cocktail hour, and dinner, which is exactly what we wanted. We would absolutely recommend DJ Paul.

The not-so-secret weapon of our wedding!

We had the best experience with Stylus! Jane really helped us figure out a DJ match for what we were envisioning, and DJ Jen was incredible — many of our guests told us she was the best wedding DJ they've ever experienced, and we agree! My husband and I both worked in music/media when we met and music has been a huge part of our story, so we had a lot of thoughts/ideas/must plays — and we were worried that might be *a lot* for prospective wedding DJs! But Jen happily took it all in, filled in the gaps, and assembled a soundtrack for our big night that united both gay pop nerds like us and all my boomer relatives on the dance floor. Such great attention to detail — I mean, Amy Winehouse's "Tears Dry On Their Own" flowing right into Ariana Grande's "No Tears Left to Cry"?? Inspired!!

Made everything easy, made the party amazing!

Everything was wonderful - Communication was streamlined, clear, and consistent. I was relieved by how fast the team was able to troubleshoot when needed so I felt like I never had to worry. And, most importantly, Jen was an incredible DJ who took the time to get to know us, what we really wanted out of our celebration music. She made our guests feel welcomed and celebrated, too! Ask for Paul Collins

We reached out to Stylus looking for someone who wasn't your typical wedding/bar mitzvah/quinceanera DJ and we were lucky enough to have Paul Collins available for our wedding date. Paul immediately caught on to what we wanted and helped us to make the wedding music our own while keeping guests of all ages entertained. He was also just fun to talk to - he's an interesting guy and clearly *loves* music. His choices from cocktail hour through the end of the night were all excellent and everything flowed very well.

Additionally, he was very helpful with getting some extra little pieces of equipment set up for our ceremony and dinner toasts.

Coordination through Stylus throughout the planning process was super smooth. While we know that Stylus represents many talented DJs, we really want to shout out Paul in this review. Thank you Paul!

The Playlist of a Lifetime

Simply put - Jane and Stylus DJ Entertainment and her musical artistry was one of the best parts of our wedding. It was an honor of a lifetime to work with this company and I will always - always - remember the music Jane and Stylus tailored for us and the art she made at our wedding, both spinning vinyl and digital DJ'ing. I am BIG BIG into music - a huge fan of 80-90s rock and an electric guitarist myself (aspiring :)) so when it came to finding an artist that truly could capture this love for music, my fiance and I were very very intentional.

The People: We picked Stylus in part because it is SO AWESOME that it is run by women - and inclusive of all people. AND it is run by a bad ass artist named Jane who is a musical genius on top of being a kind soul. Her and her staff care deeply about their work and the art they make. Collaboration: Jane was so intentional in our planning process in incorporating our musical perspective and opinions as we built playlists on playlists together for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception - shifting between genres and vibes. Simultaneously, I will say however, we could just simply give her a vibe like Goo Goo Dolls and Hootie & the Blowfish and she could create a welcome playlist that seemed to read our minds - deeply resonating with me and the songs I cherished from my family and childhood without me even having to list them for her. I still listen to this playlist at work and on runs because it so resonated with me.

Art Form: Jane did it ALL, spinning vinyl, MC'ing, and digital DJ'ing. She spun vinyl for our colorful vinyl cocktail hour bringing her own cherished vinyl records to the wedding. The vinyl cocktail hour was a deep tribute to 80s rock/pop. To find someone who cared more for 80s rock/pop than I did I didn't think was possible - until I met Jane. She curated a cocktail hour that had our guests reminiscing on their past shouting "I LOVE ZEPPELIN." She spun surrounded by my paintings, and it was just art surrounded by art. She also MC'd our wedding in the most graceful and loving fashion, seamlessly transitioning us between dances and toasts. She ended the night digital DJ'ing the dance portion of our reception incorporating both my and my fiance's wide range of tastes from Rufus Du Sol to Marc Anthony.

As I said - Jane and her staff are musical geniuses and so well versed in all genres. I know this because I got to see Jane work and I got to see her colleague work at my sister's wedding too. I can not recommend this company enough. If you appreciate art and music is of the utmost importance to you - what you will find at Stylus is a community of musicians that mirror your passion and amplify it. Thank you Jane - for the soundtrack of a lifetime. Forever forever grateful.

DJ Jen is the woman you want handling the soundtrack of your wedding day!!!

Going into the wedding planning process, I had the most anxiety about finding a vendor who was the right "fit" for our music. I knew DJ Jen was that person during our first meeting when I described that I wanted our reception to feel like the end of the night in someone's backyard after a house party, when someone puts on just the right playlist & it ends up with the whole group pushing the furniture out of the way so dancing can commence (preferably barefoot). As I was describing this, Jen started smiling & nodding along & I knew we had found who we were looking for.

Any communication over the year leading up to the wedding was prompt, organized & thorough. Jen was able to get a feel for who we genuinely are as a couple & the ~vibe~ we wanted for our wedding & the music played throughout the day reflected who we are perfectly! The very best memories of our day are the best because of the role Jen was playing in them - can't recommend highly enough!

Music was on point all night!

DJ Jim did a fantastic job at our wedding. He played into our music preferences and kept the good vibes up the whole night. Guests were on the dance floor early on and it was packed the whole night! Dj mariko is a must hire!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about DJ Mariko! From the start of planning she really took the time to understand us as a couple and our music needs; as well as, providing knowledge and guidance in making the best decisions for our wedding. Our wedding day was so much fun, DJ Mariko really picked up off the vibe of the crowd and really got the party going. I can’t count how many people came up to us and said how much fun they had and how great Mariko Dj’d. Hire DJ Mariko!

We had a fantastic experience working with Stylus as well as DJ Mariko. We initially picked her because she has many reviews raving about her DJing, and then had the good fortune of (unintentionally) seeing her DJ at a local venue before our wedding and danced that night away.

Our wedding followed suit – everyone was blown away by the music, and we had a packed dance floor throughout the entire night. To quote one of the many friends that texted me about the DJ: "we haven’t had that much fun on a dance floor in AGES – it was the perfect combo of 90s/2000s classics and latin hits”.

DJ Mariko's attention to detail is unparalleled and surely contributes to her excellence. We had a thoughtful questionnaire sent to us prior to the event which insightfully asked about many of the wedding logistics and song preferences, and then throughout the night she sent over trusted friends (e.g. sister, maid of honor) to check in with us about the way things were going, any song requests, et cetera.

It was the cherry on top of the (wedding) cake that DJ Mariko was an absolute pleasure to talk to, both over email and in-person. She is kind and made us feel cared about throughout our day!

In summary: DJ Mariko is absolutely everything her numerous 5-star reviews make her out to be. We enthusiastically recommend you hire her for your wedding or special event!

DJ Mariko of Stylus was a pleasure to work with and we are so fortunate to have worked with her. Because of DJ Mariko, every wedding guest made it to the dance floor, no matter their age or background! We got so many compliments about DJ Mariko’s music choices and energy from our guests. Dj mariko the best

DJ Mariko. Yes. Your guests will dance the night away and then rave about how good the DJ was--seriously! Beyond stellar song choices, Mariko worked hard to communicate and make sure the night was set up for success. I danced professionally, so sound was really important to us, and Mariko for sure delivered.

Fantastic Wedding with DJ Alicia

Talk if the party!

DJ Mariko is amazing!

Mariko really cares about making your wedding experience fit your needs. We had several calls well before the wedding to work out details where Mariko made us feel comfortable with our choices, and we also felt assured that we could trust their professional experience for aspects we were unsure about. The day-of was incredible, and Mariko was easily able to read the crowd and keep the fun going! DJ Mariko is amazing

If you want to have an amazing dance party at your wedding, book DJ Mariko! She delivered our theme “bangers only” with a creative mix of songs and played a crucial role in giving us our dream wedding. We received so many compliments from our guests, including one who exclaimed “I guess we are going to have to bring DJ Mariko to every party going forward!” She was great to work with from day one - super organized, very professional, prepared for every meeting, and had a great way of getting to know us so she could set the right mood and pace for our wedding. There was never a moment - from the cocktail hour, to the dinner, to the two dance sets, where we weren't delighted with her song choices. She was excellent at reading the room and getting everyone up dancing and kept the energy high all night. She thought of so many little details that made planning easy, and still made a point of checking in with us and the venue night of. DJ Mariko is amazing!

DJ Paul is the Best!

We had a fantastic experience with DJ Paul Collins, from Stylus, at our May 2023 wedding reception! We were really interested in working with a DJ who thoughtfully built the playlist around our musical tastes and interests (less current top 40, more late 90's pop, hip hop and country), and the vibes we were going for at different points in the evening, and Paul totally delivered! His personality was also perfect for our event. He guided the flow of event perfectly and seamlessly. He also never talked obnoxiously over the music the way some DJs do. Our friends are still talking about how great the music was and how much fun they had.

In addition, Paul was a complete delight and super easy to chat with from our very first call. We cannot recommend Paul highly enough for creating the perfect soundtrack to an amazing party!

We would hire Mariko again in a heartbeat

Mariko was absolutely amazing. She communicated clearly throughout the entire engagement, checked in frequently prior to the event, and advocated for our needs with other vendors when coordinating various logistics. She was beyond phenomonal during the day of - she was very professional, engaging and receptive to the crowd. I got a handful of feedback from the guests directly that they loved how she interfaced with them. We are not the outgoing bunch but she was able to keep friends on the dance floor. We plan on recommending her to our friends getting married in the future and for any of our DJ needs in the future.

Absolutely amazing!!

Mariko and Stylus DJ Entertainment were absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding!!

From the initial planning session to the actual event, Mariko ensured that the entire process was seamless, while also providing us with helpful suggestions and tips, so that every little detail was perfect.

The energy that Mariko brought to our event was so incredible that many guests still rave about the music and that it was the best music of any wedding...including their own. For example, I never thought in my wildest of dreams that my parents and my spouse's parents would be holding hands and dancing in a circle to Madonna's "Like a Prayer", which is a true testament to Mariko's incredible DJ skills!!

Needless to say, I would 100000% recommend Mariko to anyone looking for a DJ!!

Perfect - no notes

From the moment we reached out to Jane at Stylus, we received nothing but prompt, professional, and communicative service in every possible way. The company has a deep roster of DJ talent, fair prices, and an amazing process that made us feel confident that we had made the right decision!

DJ Mariko was a perfect addition to our team - super cool, organized, responsive, attentive to our wants, and improvised just enough in the moment to make our night unforgettable. Once we had a couple calls to firm everything up, neither of us worried for even a second day-of about equipment, timing, or anything related to audio.

Obviously, their music selection was on point all night. Still not exactly sure how a Reel Big Fish ska dance session happened, but that's just one example of Mariko nailing all the "little things" that turned a great party into the perfect one.

We also heard from basically every guest that they were the best wedding DJ anyone had seen - no joke!

Can't recommend Stylus Entertainment and DJ Mariko enough to other couples!

DJ Mariko is top tier

I was having trouble finding a DJ who would understand the vibe we wanted for our wedding (a mix of poppy crowd pleasers and pop punk/alternative music), so when I found Stylus and Mariko, I immediately felt great about booking them. Mariko was kind, organized, professional, and helpful, taking into account traditions and wanting to honor our wishes while still providing us with super helpful advice. We booked her for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and everything was smooth and so much fun. She got the crowd going without over emcee-ing, and she appropriately lowered or raised the volume of the music based on what was happening during different times. Everyone loved her. Highly recommend!!

Book Mariko! Seriously.

We can't say enough good things about DJ Mariko. Our first phone meeting with her made us feel immediately comfortable. When we ironed out the details for the evening, she anticipated scheduling problems we didn't even think about, and helped us put everything in the perfect order. People came up to us all night telling us how great the music was, and the dance floor was constantly full. She also made sure we had great salsa music for our latin side of the family. Can't recommend her enough!

As a lesbian couple, having a female owned company and DJ was important to us. From our first call, we knew Mariko was a great fit for our wedding. She made us feel comfortable, making it easy to share our personalities and the overall vision for our big day. She really listened to what we wanted and that was evident from the first song! Mariko nailed our vibe and was able to read the room. She got the party started and no one sat down ALL night! Our guests absolutely LOVED the music and are still raving about it. DJ Jane was an incredible person and we are so grateful that she was a part of the best day of our lives. A professional every step of the way and such kindness. She built us an incredible soundtrack that was just absolutely perfect I’m every way! And we even got a custom Spotify playlist from her after to relive the day as close as we can!

Kept Us Moving!

From start to finish, Stylus Entertainment was phenomenal. Working with Jane to set up our contact was seamless! Once we chose to work with DJ Karin everything continue to be perfect. Karin met with us over zoom to hear our ideas for the wedding and allowed us to be very specific! We wanted different vibes for dinner, moving in to the reception and even "late night" reception. DJ Karin executed the music to perfection, we could not have been happier!! On top of this, Karin was so personable and accommodating. We are so happy to have worked with Karin for our wedding! What a bonus to find a female based entertainment company!!!

HIGHLY recommend DJ Mariko of Stylus

Mariko's skillful DJing was a highlight of our wedding.

She met with us several times to understand our taste and elicit all our specific requests. Mariko also offered helpful guidance about what kinds of music work best to fulfill our wedding goals. She seamlessly incorporated all the songs we wanted into her set, and kept everyone on the dance floor for hours.

Her emcee'ing was warm and thoughtful - never too much, never too little!

We would recommend Mariko to any couple who wants an excellent, memorable dance party at their wedding.

Fantastic! Kept Everyone Dancing and Having a Great Time. Highly Recommend.

DJ Karin from Stylus DJ was the DJ at our wedding and we cannot recommend her enough. We have seen her twice now – once at our wedding and once at our friends – and both times she has keep the party moving and everyone dancing the night away! Karen does this without being a “hype man” but rather by her excellent choice and flow of music and a few key words here and there, which we think is perfect for a wedding. Additionally, Karin can be very flexible and poised under pressure. We had a significant delay in our wedding causing us to need to rearrange our dance flow on the spot. With only just a few high-level instructions DJ Karin was able to seamlessly work behind the scenes with other venue staff to keep the evening going smoothly and beautifully. To this day our guests have no idea that we changed the plan half way though. Thank you, Karin!

DJ Mariko Is The Best!

We are so happy we booked DJ Mariko through Stylus Entertainment. We were really looking for a DJ that wasn't your typical cheesy wedding DJ and Mariko did not disappoint! The music was simply fantastic and she took all of our special requests for our playlist to make it the best night of dancing. I can't tell you how many people asked us to share the playlist afterwards. Plus, Mariko is just so kind and sweet and easy to work with. I can't recommend enough : )

Mariko made our night

Mariko was the perfect choice for our intimate but boisterous Brooklyn wedding. She took a lot of time with us before the day to make sure she could deliver on the dance party we wanted while making sure we heard our favorite songs. All of our friends couldn’t stop raving about the DJ and the playlist. Most importantly, Mariko accommodated a spontaneous guest request to do the horra even though we’d decided against it in planning. She made it happen seamlessly and it was the highlight of the night!

Alicia's the best!

From the moment we talked to Alicia, it was clear how organized she was, how well she knew the flow of a wedding day (my husband and I are wedding photographers, so we’ve seen our share of DJs) and how in tune she was with what we wanted (and didn't want) music-wise. She nailed the vibe we envisioned for every part of the day, from our ceremony to our first dance to closing out the dance floor at the end of the night. Best Dance Party Ever!!!

Intuitive and natural DJ

We worked with DJ Amber (Philadelphia area), and she was great. She was very low key, and easy to work with. We did not want the over the top, cheesy DJ. Amber worked with the songs and genres we provided her and put together a great playlist.

Wedding with DJ Mariko

DJ Mariko was super easy to work with throughout the entire process. After a quick call, it was clear that she immediately understood the vibe we wanted at our wedding. She asked us a lot of important questions and gave us many insights into the small details that help a wedding ceremony go smoothly. As expected, the ceremony went perfectly! And at the dance party, we had so many compliments on her DJing skills. We and the guests loved every minute of it!

The night of our lives thanks to DJ Mariko!!

Beyond our dreams, DJ Mariko at Stylus DJ Entertainment was pivotal to making our wedding the best night of our lives. Immediately after we first met with her she was committed to understanding and fulfilling our wedding goals, playing our favorite songs, and she worked incredibly hard to understand what are like AND dislikes were for the night. She was detailed and regimented in letting us and the venue know how to avoid technical difficulties (there were none) and yet she was game to participate in our silliest requests. Most importantly, she used her years of experience to guide us on how to keep the party vibe going all night and make sure that we understood how to advocate for ourselves, not just with the music but with how interacting with all the vendors. The dance party did not stop on the wedding night, just as we liked it! Mariko was full of joy and did not have any stereotypical DJ ego, just a full appreciation of what would make our night special and the commitment to the party of our lives! We could not be more grateful to her and would recommend her and Stylus DJ Entertainment to anybody.

Super Creative DJ

My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding DJ company than Stylus DJ. DJ Trishylicious made our wedding fun and exciting. We wanted someone we could trust and Stylus was recommended to us by a friend whose wedding we admired. We also didn't want a DJ that forced people to get up on the dance floor, which we've always found awkward. Tricia was very attentive, thoughtful, and generous with her time and expertise. We gave her a massive unorganized playlist of songs we liked and she picked the best versions for us and played them at the best moments. We had fun getting to know Tricia and really appreciated her care in getting to know our taste in music.

We really loved having DJ Mariko, Jane and the Stylus team be a part of our wedding day! We truly enjoyed getting to work with the Stylus team to bring our wedding vision to life and help us in creating unforgettable moments that will last a lifetime—Mariko honestly was the superstar vendor of our day (all of our guests loved and adored her energy, vibe, MC'ing and DJ'ing!! ⭐⭐⭐) and she did a spectacular job throughout the entirety of the day: from being super flexible and making changes on the fly, to the small yet personalised touches such as supporting us with the audio needs for the ceremony and toasts and making karaoke happen despite the challenges with setup—these details didn't go unnoticed from our family and friends!—from start to finish. Even leading up to the big day, Mariko and Jane have been truly accommodating and responsive since our initial conversations and Mariko really took the time to ensure that we were comfortable, the flow was flawless and we got to listen to all the songs and music that we wanted since my newlywed husband and I have a pretty diverse and eclectic music taste. Loved working with Stylus and dj Paul !

We're so happy we worked with Stylus and dj Paul for our wedding. We almost went for a more budget option and are so glad we spent a few hundred extra dollars to ensure we worked with a dj we could trust. Music was by far one of the most important parts of the day for us and we knew we couldn't put up with a hoaky wedding dj - so Stylus seemed like a much better fit than other traditional wedding vendors. Paul was professional, super kind to work with throughout the planning process, and most importantly, had a taste of music that we could trust for all parts of the night from cocktail hour to dancing. In addition to weaving together indie, classic rock, funk, and pop dance tunes for our day, we'll never forget how quickly he looped the hora so all our parents could be lifted up and the scene of our friends getting weird to Talking Heads for the last song of the night. Book them you'll be happy you did!!

DJ Mariko was amazing!

DJ Mariko was such a great addition to our wedding! Whether it was mingling music, dinnertime, or the dance party, she always kept the vibe right. Mariko was also a big help with planning the overall flow and feel of the different moments of our event. On the day, her tasteful announcements got people to where they needed to be for toasts, cake cutting, etc. She is a great communicator and very easy to work with, meeting with us on zoom in advance to talk through what songs we wanted to hear, and sharing a thorough google doc to make sure she knew exactly what we were looking for. We enthusiastically recommend Mariko as a wedding DJ, and it's pretty clear she would handle any other event just as well.

DJ Mariko was perfect!

DJ Mariko was AMAZING for our wedding! We truly felt her passion in helping us to create a memorable night. Throughout the preparation - including our pre-event video calls and in coordinating with our videographer over sound - Mariko was responsive, kind, and attentive to us, our guests, and our other vendors. She lined up the music and the speeches seamlessly from the ceremony to the reception. She was also responsive to the vibe and got our small party up and on the dance floor (just as we had hoped!). Our guests keep telling us how much they enjoyed Mariko and the photos are reflective of the fantastic energy she brought (we aren't publicly sharing our photos). When we were researching her work, her wedding mix samplers were so good they inspired us to have a spontaneous dance party date night in our living room! Mariko was a valuable part of creating this magic moment; we highly recommend her!

They were great

We hired DJ Mariko and are thankful we did. My wife and I had no idea what we were doing and Mariko made the process of picking our music easy. She had us think of not only the songs we wanted but also what we didn't want. Once at the event Mariko kept close watch of the dance floor to see what the crowd reacted well to. We had a plan going in, however the key to a good dj is their ability to adapt the plan based on what is happening at the even and Mariko has this ability in spades. Very happy we hired her and would recommend her to anyone looking for a dj for their event.

A great party with DJ Jen

Both Jane and DJ Jen at Stylus were a real pleasure to work with. Jane was prompt and communicative about the contract, and Jen was patient, helpful, and professional, from our first calls to the main event. We shared a playlist and discussed some song requests for specific moments, and she handled the rest wonderfully. She seemed to really understand the vibe and tempo we were going for, and even accommodated some last-minute requests from family members plotting surprises during the event.

A Wonder All The Way Through (and I'm not just talkin' Stevie)

From our initial meeting till the fade of the last song she played at my son and daughter-in-law's wedding, Alicia was not only the consummate pro, but also a delight to work with. Always positive, involving, fun, and interested in what we thought would make a great party, she came through in spades with an eclectic mix that kept everyone bopping till the close (where my son's gang spontaneously chanted, "three more songs, three more songs." DJ Mariko was the highlight of our wedding!

We are so grateful to have had DJ Mariko at our wedding. She was kind and attentive in the weeks leading up to our big day, and then when the day arrived she brought the VIBES! Every single person was up and out of their seats, dancing to our favorite tunes. Even the older people joined in! In addition to the amazing tunes, there was the perfect amount of MC-ing, so guests knew what to do next. We even had a really special unplanned send-off thanks to Mariko. Seriously, weeks after this wedding, we are all still talking about how awesome she was. Friends are still texting us about her! Cannot be more thrilled with our choice and will be hoping to hire her again whenever we need a DJ in the future!!

Planning a wedding and working through COVID troubles with Stylus DJ Entertainment was as easy as these troubled times could be. I love alicia

We had our lovely DJ Alicia join us for our wedding after the DJ we originally booked came down with COVID a week before our wedding. Thanks to our amazing wedding coordinator, Alicia and Stylus DJ Entertainment were able to quickly coordinate with us on Memorial Day and offer exactly what we were looking for. Our venue had very specific requirements for their sound system and luckily Alicia was familiar with our venue! Alicia was on time, we didn’t have to ask them for anything, and we loved the music! Seriously the BEST!

DJ Alicia helped make our wedding so incredible that we've been basking in wedding glory for almost a full year before recovering enough to write reviews. We got married 05/23/21 just as NYC was opening back up and booked DJ Alicia at the very last minute, during a pretty high-stress time in the process. We instantly loved her vibe and trusted her to just get it right... and she was beyond perfect matching the music to the crowd's energy. We had an incredible experience working with Mariko and Jane from DJ Stylus. Firstly, we loved that the company is female-owned and largely female DJs. They were responsive, patient, and so easy to work with when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID. Fantastic Experience

We worked with Amber and Stylus for our wedding and absolutely loved it! Amber helped set up the microphones for the ceremony, had a set up for the cocktail hour area, and seamlessly transitioned to the ballroom and dancefloor. We gave songs we wanted to hear to Amber, including some requests from guests, and trusted her to tie them together with the hits and make a great playlist. Our guests all loved her DJing, and one already booked Stylus for their wedding. Jane was great to work with, and flexible with our requests and needs. Amber was really cool and even accomodated a Hora version that included a live mic setup for a sax and a few transitions. The value seemed reasonable, and we wanted a less traditional DJ so Stylus seemed like the right choice for us, and after the wedding we can say it's worth it. I remember a few of the last songs being Le Tigre and LCD Soundsystem and thinking this was the coolest wedding ever. We highly recommend Amber and Stylus!

Jane and DJ Alicia are great!

We used Stylus DJ Entertainment for our wedding at the Allegria Hotel on 9/10/21. Specifically, the DJ we choose was Alicia Walter. Stylus was great to work with in terms of logistics and such. The fun part was partnering with Alicia to create our perfect day! Alicia was incredible to work with and really listened to what we envisioned for our special day. Also, she was great partnering with the venue to ensure we had coverage in each area of our venue.

Day of, Alicia made sure we had a PARTY. We had so many people dancing and she really followed the vibe of the room to ensure people were up on her feet. I was so blown away with how she incorporated our style into making an incredible playlist. She also was great at advising us on our timeline and what flow might work best for us, based off what she has seen at other weddings.

Alicia was what made working with Stylus so great. I wish I could have another wedding so that I could go to another event she DJed!

Best. Dance party. Ever.

We booked Alicia for our wedding this past Monday and I don't think a better dj or dj company exists.

We gave her the instructions of "best bar night ever" and she understood the assignment. We gave her a mix of all sorts of music must-plays and she fit them all in without a lull on our dance floor. None of our friends or family can stop talking about how great our dj was.

We had a dance party that started before we were even done with dinner and lasted until the very end. I can't really believe how amazing our wedding went and feel so lucky we found such a great dj early in our search.

So if you're reading this now, you can breathe a sign of relief, the search is over!

Absolutely perfect!

Amber made our wedding reception perfection! She was exactly what we were looking for in a DJ with no cheesy radio voices and just amazing music and she was incredibly kind and helpful!! She had such a good understanding of what we wanted by our playlist and improvised some really great songs that we didn’t necessarily think of because coming up with a playlist was hard and each one was perfect! People were raving about the music all night! I could not recommend Stylus DJ Entertainment more highly! The founder, Jane was so helpful and an absolute joy to work with! You will have nothing to worry about as far as music goes if you book Stylus DJ entertainment!

Could not have been better

We’d had multiple other music options fall through when, about a month before our wedding, we stumbled upon Alicia. We could not have been luckier. We felt like she immediately got us, totally understood what we were going for, and wasn’t married to any prescribed ideas about what weddings “should” be — she let us be us, except…she made us better.

I don’t think we were an easy crowd — we honestly weren’t sure if our friends would dance at all — but by the end of the night, she not only had people dancing, she had them demanding encores.

We had a very DIY event with a whole lot of moving pieces, but working with Alicia was (genuinely) stress-free. She was one of the only people we worked with through this whole process that we never worried about — she was chill, reassuring, and non-judgmental, and she absolutely captured the vibe we were going for (really fun party that just *happened* to be a wedding).

We were very, very close to ditching the whole professional music idea and using a Spotify playlist, and I’m so glad we didn’t do that — Alicia really DID read the room, gave the evening a shape, and kept the energy up in a way that felt totally organic. (Also, she made us seem cooler and more fun than we are.)

Highly Recommend em, had a great time!

Can't say enough good things about Stylus DJs and specifically our DJ Jennifer. They stuck with us through multiple COVID cancellations and when the scope changed and shrunk they worked with us with no fuss. She was great to work with in the run up to our wedding and we always felt confident that she had our vibe and what we were going for at the wedding. Music was great, we were very happy with our decision!

Perfectly Unique & Unforgettable!

Alicia was an absolute stunner DJ! She managed to perfectly capture our taste while keeping everything super fun and nothing but good vibes. Hands down our wedding dance party was the most fun I’ve had dancing in as long as I can remember. Everyone raved about the music she played from our twenty-something cousins to our octogenarian grandparents!

Thank you Karin!

Karin was hired to provide music at our wedding for both the cocktail hour and reception. She was very professional in our conversations leading up to the event as she asked us specific questions about what we wanted in terms of music and emceeing. She played all the music we requested and she created a perfect playlist that vibed with our musical tastes. Our guests sang high praise of Karin's work as she found a good balance amongst the various genres we requested (e.g., pop, indie rock, party favorites, salsa, merengue, soca, and calypso music).

Personally, Karin is such a friendly and easy going person with great style to match. She got along well with our vendors and coordinated with them perfectly. We highly recommend her for any party or event that requires fun times and good tunes.

DJ Joe at Stylus was awesome!

My wife and I booked our DJ through Stylus and couldn't be happier with their service. DJ Joe Haederle was very professional and really set the tone for a great celebration! We had to postpone our wedding from 2021 and the communication between Stylus couldn't have been any easier. Throughout the extended planning time, Joe was extremely easy to communicate with and to help tailor our wedding to bring the ideas we had to life! Joe really helped create a very memorable night for us and our guests. I highly recommend booking Stylus and DJ Joe if your music tastes are a little different than your traditional wedding music as Joe easily accommodated any and all requests we had as it related to songs we wanted to hear throughout the night!

Great Party

DJ Alicia was fantastic! She took the time to ask helpful questions in advance to understand what we wanted for our party. We received many positive compliments about her from our guests. It was a great party. DJ Stylus Entertainment was easy to work with, efficient and also flexible when we had to change our plans. Highly recommend.
