Our GO-TO Photographers - Absolutely OBSESSED!

We've worked with Jenny and her team for our engagement shoot and wedding day. We also did my brother's wedding. We absolutely love their creativity, their unique photo style and their great attitude. The team knew their shots, gave great direction and made us feel comfortable. We are so, so happy with all of our photos and have gotten so many compliments on them. 11/10 recommend!!

Jenny's Personal Touch

I would highly recommend Jenny (and her team). Jenny's responsiveness and compassion throughout our wedding planning, covid wedding cancellation, change of venue (out of state!) was paramount in our wedding experience. She was open to working through all the changes that were put upon us in the pandemic when very little was certain, she assured us she would be there for us- and she delivered in all the ways. Before we signed on with her (pre-pandemic 2019) she had my husband and I to her home and took time to get to know each other, and collaborated with us to build our vision, which was so fun and enjoyable to get to know her. Even though in the end, our large Brooklyn wedding ended up shifting to be a backyard small family wedding, her presence and energy at the wedding was so comforting-- she felt like apart of the family and made us feel special, feel seen and captured so many truly special, unforgettable moments for our family during a really emotional time (for everyone). After the ceremony, Jenny managed to go off and in minutes, magically find a secluded woodsy private area in a park for our post-ceremony photoshoot. It was so romantic, dreamy and unforgettable, at the perfect afternoon light time and just incredible that she found such a hidden gem in the woods for us, on the spot! She is so easy to plan with, converse with, and has so much insight on how to move and take pics without feeling uncomfortable. She is an authentic person, so creative and the photos after our wedding turned out beautiful. She has an easy to navigate digital platform to use, that makes it easy for family/relatives to access the pics, too- which is a major perk. Will definitely use stylishhipweddings/ Jenny for any future events and encourage others to support her work!

Beautiful photos and fun to work with

Jenny is the best! She was so easy to work with from beginning to end. Jenny was really helpful in keeping us on track on the day of the wedding, making sure we got all of the most important shots while still the mood upbeat and fun. Our photos came out amazing and we felt like she really captured us as a couple with a mix of fun, unique shots and all of the shots that made our moms happy. At the last minute, we decided to add the photo booth to our package and I'm so happy we did. All of our guests had a blast with it, plus we got all those additional fun photos. Highly recommend!

Stunning, Unique Wedding Photography... Highly Recommend!

Stylish Hip Weddings did a fantastic job on our wedding photography! Jonica photographed our wedding and took so many beautiful shots that we'll cherish forever. We debated whether to splurge on photography and are so glad we did because the photos are amazing! It's priceless to have our special day captured so beautifully. Jonica went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and get to know us before the wedding. She traveled up to Westchester from Brooklyn to see our wedding venue and meet for a meal/wine so we could get to know each other. Jenny was fantastic!

Hiring Jenny was one of the highlights of our wedding! She made the nature preserve by my parent’s house on LI look like it came out of a fairy tale. We both wanted wedding photos that were unique and not cheesy, and Jenny really delivered. She was also professional, on time and open to anything I asked of her. I really cannot recommend her enough. I’m so excited to frame so many of these beautiful photos and look at them for years to come.

Couldn't have worked out better

Wonderful wilderness adventure

Jenny makes weddings fun!!

Jenny and her team were the perfect photographers for us - fun, assertive and talented! We really enjoyed welcoming them into our home when we got ready for the wedding and cramming in a yellow NYC cab to zip from the Williamsburg waterfront to the nearby restaurant where the wedding was taking place. Phenomenal! Jenny and Jonica were both above and beyond what we expected when we began the search for a photographer for our pop-up gorilla style elopement at the Bronx Zoo. We had about three weeks to plan it and Jenny was so communicative and eager to jump right in and help us plan our day with so much enthusiasm that it made us even more thrilled about the upcoming event. We love how she took the time to get to know us both through requesting our instagram profiles and an in person meeting. We didn't get that sort of treatment from the other photographers we spoke to, and that type of attention really stood out, not only in the hiring process, but also in the details of the compositions they produced in our photos. THE PHOTOS. Unreal. Jonica was outstanding! She happily ran around with us and our family at the zoo through exhibits and ropes courses and then on to waterfront photos in DUMBO and dinner. She let the day flow so freely that we didn't feel at all restrained and were able to have the times of our lives without worry or fear of missing the shot. Her photos captured us completely, from the fun, whimsy family zoo shots to the romantic, artsy couple compositions. We can't say enough about the quality and brilliance of these photographs. They're just stunning and more perfect than we could have ever wished for!

What can I say about Jenny? Working with her was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Jenny spent time to get to know me and my now-husband, and provided us with invaluable advice in-person at her awesome Brooklyn townhouse and over email. Her customer service is spectacular, she’s extremely down to earth (which helps a lot on the big day!), and immensely talented. Plus, she was really understanding when it came to budget (a huge plus for the NY bridal world!)

I didn’t want to have an individual photo taken with every aunt, uncle, and cousin, and she definitely doesn’t encourage that kind of approach (though I have no doubt that she could make that work!). Getting family together for photographs never felt stressful, something I’ve heard other brides say as a point of contention in their big day.

In addition to providing an amazing final product, Jenny was instrumental in planning our wedding day timeline and how to fit in a tight photography timeframe. I really relished her candor and attitude, and it’s all evident in the photos -- no one looks too posed, there aren’t any overly corny shots, and her approach is very artistic and fun. I highly, highly recommend Jenny and the Stylish & Hip Weddings team to anyone who doesn’t necessarily want your typical wedding photos. These photographs are so so special and unique -- as is working with Jenny!

We are so happy we chose Stylish and Hip to photograph our wedding!! Jenny was a lot of fun to work with- immediately personable, connected and a pleasure to "pose" for. We adored working with Jenny and Kristin from Stylish & Hip Weddings! Kristin shot our June 2017 wedding on the beach in Connecticut and the photos are Stunning with a capital S. Kristin was so calming and easy to work with that she got us to relax in front of the camera and she took tons of truly beautiful couples pictures that we will cherish forever. The colors are amazing and pop fantastically with the cloudy light by the sea--Kristin just got it right on point. Jenny was also a real pleasure to work with and made everything go so smoothly, we didn't have a thing to worry about--everything is so straightforward, their online interface made arranging details a breeze and the pictures came back to us quickly and were easy to share. I cannot rave enough about the gorgeous photos taken by Kristin of Stylish & Hip Weddings. She really captured the vibrancy and fun of the day! She also made sure to catch all the little details - decor, flowers, shoes, etc. - as well as to get individual shots of every couple or family in attendance. We're thrilled! Kristin was also a pleasure to work with - calm, flexible, kind - as was Jenny, who runs the studio. They're both extremely responsive and organized and in periodic contact during the year leading up to the wedding so we always felt secure. Highly highly recommend!

Far more than we asked for. Everything was coordinated to perfection! Our photographer was a delight to work with. Extremely professional and lots of fun. Jenny and her team are amazing. They were super-easy to work with and unbelievably responsive to our feedback. Our pictures came out beautifully. They were very organized during the limited amount of time we had to take portrait shots of our HUGE family - they managed to get every single combination we could have asked for and even some we didn't even think of. The pictures of the ceremony are truly stunning, and the pictures of the party reflect the fun everyone had, and a few intimate moments my husband and I shared that are now precious memories captured on film. Looking at the pictures truly transport us back to that night - it's like we're still there - we get to experience it again and again every time we look at them. Also, almost more importantly, Jenny REALLY came through for us when we hit some bumps in the road: we had some communication issues with respect to making our album, but rather than getting defensive and pushing back, Jenny listened and made it right and we couldn't be more grateful. How businesses handle client issues is where the rubber really meets the road, and in this case, Jenny aced the test! I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Jonica was so wonderful to work with and was great giving us ideas for locations and also took into account our ideas and requests and executed perfectly. We wanted mostly candid shots and she delivered above and beyond. Our wedding was very intimate with only 18 people and she worked with our small space to provide photos that portray the mood and feelings of the entire night perfectly. We have so many wonderful photos it's hard to chose are favorite and that's a great problem to have.

We were fortunate enough to have Mariliana take our stunning wedding pictures it's been more then a year and I still can't get enough! She was such a delight to work with there were a few curveballs but she wasn't swayed by any of them (including an impromptu ask for her to stay longer). She was a dream to work with!

And we had the most reverend before our ceremony, our families are still talking about the cool character who wrote the perfect ceremony!

We knew we wanted to elope to NYC...but didn't really know where to start. We were fortunate enough to meet the wonderful Stylish and Hip Wedding crew who helped us through every step of the way. I cannot say enough about this lovely group of warm, fun and amazing people. Jenny is very professional, and a true expert. She was extremely patient and accommodating, even when there were moments of Bridezilla during the planning, she took it all in stride and made sure my questions were answered. Jonica was our photographer, and is a amazing and talented photographer, whose beautiful soul shines through all the pictures. We were fortunate enough to have The Most Reverend Matt Levy officiate our wedding. There are no words to describe how hilarious and touching the ceremony was. What can I say that has not already been said. Jenny is a serious rock star. She is insanely talented and has an eye for urban beauty, as well as unique&candid shots. You would think someone so talented would be a little full of themselves or have a big ego. She is the farthest thing from that. The minute I met her I felt connected to her...like an old friend. She guided me and advised me in all aspects of my brooklyn wedding and provided honest feedback to some of my tougher decisions. Day of wedding, she was easy and breezy. Got my picture disliking husband to smile, laugh, and look damn sexy. The day after he kept remarking on how much fun he had working with her!! She was unobtrusive and blended well with our guests...never in your face or obnoxious. She handled our family photos quickly and like a true professional-despite some tricky family business. To be honest, I was sad to see her leave. She was such a big part of our day from the beginning and I had become attached! I can't wait to see our photos. She showed me a few sneak peeks the day of and they were beyond beautiful. I would 100% recommend Jenny and Stylish&Hip.

I HIGHLY recommend Stylish & Hip Weddings! My husband and i used them as our wedding photographer this past July and we couldn't have been happier. Jenny was FANTASTIC! What more can I say about this INCREDIBLE team. From the minute I was in contact with them, they were responsive, caring, helpful, reassuring, need I go on...Jennifer, one of the owners, reached out to me immediately by email and followed up with a phone call as soon as she got a break from the shoot she was working on. I was incredibly frazzled (as most brides are), as my amazing, now husband and I had a teeny miscommunication regarding who was securing the photographer (oops!), soooo we did not give them a whole lot of time to work with. Even so, they were again happy to accommodate us, incredibly professional and honestly, I know this sounds silly, but loving! Jennifer treated me like I was a long lost friend, reassured me, put my mind at ease and sent over a quote that evening. Phew!

We were fortunate enough to receive Jonica into our lives. Wow! What an amazing, kind, and loving spirit. We live in Dallas and had our wedding in Manhattan, so we unfortunately did not get to meet Jonica until several days before the wedding, but when we did, she was again as gracious, caring and accommodating as Jennifer. Where did these amazing people come from?? My husband and I were both on edge when we met with Jonica, but we both came away feeling at ease and confident putting our wedding in Jonica's hands.

The day of the wedding, she was on time, friendly, breezy and happy (despite the fact I'd gone into FULL bridezilla mode). She did not even bat an eyelash at my ridiculous behavior, she just did her thing! I could LITERALLY go on all day about how unbelievably lucky we were to have such an amazing presence photographing the most important day of our lives. We loved her, our guests loved her and we had so much fun with her. I hope that I have gained a friend, because she's an incredibly dynamic and loving person. I will put an end to all this gushing and just say...you will not be disappointed and you certainly can NOT go wrong with this fabulous group of people.

We had the honor of having Jenny (the owner of Stylish & Hip) as our wedding photographer a few weeks ago. Needless to say she is the BEST! She is bubbly, fun to take photos with and has an amazing eye for capturing the perfect moments. Our photos are absolutely AMAZING! Our friends and friends of friends(some I don't even know) who have seen them have even commented on the uniqueness and beauty of the photos. Stylish & Hip was perfect. From the moment we met Jenny, we knew we found our photographer. She is warm, upbeat, and exceptionally talented. While we did extensive research on photographers in the NYC area, she was the only photographer we met with and we couldn't be more pleased. We had various questions before the wedding and Jenny responded promptly every time. On the day of the wedding, she was focused, yet incredibly relaxed. She elicited the best in everyone: no small feat for young nephews and 2 dogs! She listened to what we hoped to capture and added her spin. Jenny brought out the best in us, our families and the event in general. Many, many people that have viewed the images have said: “These are the best wedding photos I’ve ever seen.” We cannot recommend Jenny and Stylish & Hip enough.

Sorry it been a bit delayed, myself and John would just like to say what a wonderful day our wedding day was! Prior to meeting you guys on our wedding day Matt had sent out secret questionnaires for us to fill in, hearing the vows that he had wrote from these on the day not only made us laugh and cry they put us into shock how from a few questions Matt could really grasp our love for each other our relationship and our personalities!! Coming home and having then to share with friends and family made the "elopement" part a little more bearable for them to accept!!

Having our photo taking isn't something that myself or John rush to do, we like to shy away from the camera but Jenny made the experience fun and allowed us to be ourselves!!

When we had an email from you guys telling us that photo had been uploaded only 5 days later we were so shocked!! Rushing to the nearest computer, I could not believe how lovely the shots came out and it's really captures the relaxed wonderful day that myself an John had!!

Firstly we would like to Thank you for being real people as we had been a little concerned that no one was going to turn up!!

Secondly for the wonderful photos and experience we had and the beautiful words that Matt crafted for our day!!

And lastly for pointing us foreigners in the right direction when it came to hair and make up and taxis and locations!!

The photographer, Mariliana, at Stylish & Hip Weddings was wonderful to work with. We had a small wedding (less than 30 guests) in Manhattan and we were looking for a photographer that could capture candid yet elegant photos of us as well as our wedding party. When the Most Reverend Matt Levy and partner in crime / wife Jenny Macfarlane zoom up onto the DUMBO sidewalk, on an effortlessly stylish Italian scooter, you know you are in for the ride of your life.

Handshakes, hugs and pleasantries exchanged and Matt was his element. As a Master of Ceremony I can honestly say I have witness no better. From top to tail he oozed charm, wit and ever so much New York style. (Even in his wife's sunglasses) His words captured 17 years of love, laughter, friendship and all the other little things that make our relationship. If you want to have heaps of fun and barrels full of laughter during your wedding. Mr. Levy is the man for you.

Jenny is far from your typical wedding photographer. For a start she is the epitome of a New York punk rocker. Effortlessly cool, laid back, yet with a real passion for her craft. To say her photographs are wonderful is an understatement. How she's managed to get so many great shots of two very introvert Scots is beyond us. From climbing on top of cars to hunting down the perfect location there is nothing she can't or won't do to get the shot that will last a lifetime. Jenny is "pure magic" as we say back home.

Jenny and her team were incredible to work with - they were very organized, professional yet easy going and managed our large families very well. She was never intrusive yet got all the great shots of the wedding, party and everything in between. We also did a photobooth which was a huge hit. The pictures were ready so fast and the quality of her printing and the photo booth is awesome. Definitely recommend!

I booked Jenny + Matt from my home town in Melbourne Australia. I did everything through their very easy to use website. My husband and I were planning our elopement in secret so it was very daunting doing it alone. Jenny immediately made me feel comfortable and excited just from her emails. The booking process was so easy and she outlined everything I needed to do step by step.

On the day we met in Brooklyn for our short ceremony and 1 hr of photos, we were waiting nervously on a bench and these two beautiful souls scooted towards us on their Vespa and yelled "hey you guys wanna go get married" they took their helmets off and they felt like family straight away. I felt so at ease about everything

Looking through my beautiful photos now I can see I would never want it any other way.

Jenny & Matt,

It is hard to put into words how much you both made our wedding day the best day of our lives. Jenny, you are truly a gifted photographer. Every photo is perfect, looking through them for the first time brought back pure happiness to the point I cried with joy. Jenny, you have managed to capture the happiness that myself and Ashley shared in every image.

Matt, what can we say about Matt? Matt was able to put who we are into words better than we could ever have expected or hoped for. The love, seriousness and of course the humour that were our vows captured who we really are. Your role in our day really brought the personal touch of warmth and togetherness to the ceremony.

I've been admiring S&H's photography for several years (from seeing their work in New Yorker Magazine wedding issue, etc.) so, it felt like a dream come true when I found out that they were available to shoot our Portland, OR for the wedding. Hiring someone amazing to capture the big day properly was hands down the best investment, as we will enjoy these photos for the rest of our lives. The day is so magical and blissful, but it's over in an eye blink. Having Jenny's photos has ensured that the joy of that day will always last for us and our friends and families.
I never photograph well and feel goofy in front of the camera, have no clue how to pose or not pose, etc. Jenny gave both of us the clearest instruction and made the whole thing so fun. She was quick and thorough, as we didn't want to spend an hour taking photos, keeping us from the wedding. She managed to take traditional photos with EVERY SINGLE PERSON looking stunning, even in the family photos with 20 people in them…seems like a miracle.
Her ceremony, dinner and candids while people were mingling or dancing are also incredible.
As I'm sure is a common feeling with newly married people, I still feel like I have a ton of to do's, but I had to take the time to give them a solid review. If S&H are available for your wedding, jump on it. I already have a friend hiring her for their Halloween wedding!

Jenny and her team were amazing throughout the whole planning process. From inviting us to her house for a drink and dropping off a candle during the holiday season, we always felt very well taken care of. She also uses a few different surveys to help get to know the couple as well as possible in order to tailor the experience to their wants and needs. Our wedding day was VERY hot and Jenny did a great job of taking a lot of wonderful photos in a short amount of time as to not keep people uncomfortable for too long. Jenny's personality is very warm and comforting and helps put everyone at ease on a stressful day.

Jenny photographed our wedding in April 2015. I spent hours researching photographers online looking for one who could capture candid and quirky moments (in addition to standard posed shots) and Jenny really came through for us. Although the wedding was rather traditional, we still wanted the photos to have some "personality" and Jenny got that. She was lovely to work with, responsive and even stayed late when our cake cutting ran a bit behind schedule! We're really happy with the photos. Thanks Jenny!

We used Jenny to photograph our wedding this past June and couldn't have wished for anything more. Jenny was incredibly helpful throughout the process and always responded very quickly to my emails and questions. She was a huge asset on the day of the wedding, helping me get to the venue and setting up the most amazing first look for my husband and I. She made the "posed" pictures quick and fun and then was very innocuous for the rest of the night. Most importantly we ended up with better pictures than I could have imagined. They are spontaneous and fun and beautiful and really capture the essence of our celebration.

We also used Jenny's husband Matt for our photo booth and those pictures turned out equally as amazing. It poured for our entire (outdoor) wedding and neither Jenny or Matt seemed to notice or care. They are true professionals determined to make you have the best day of your life!

They are some of the best photographers around for half the price. I wouldn't have chosen anyone else. I would highly recommend them!

Jenny was an absolute pleasure to deal with in planning our wedding photography and captured exactly the images we were hoping of our NYC semi-elopement (I say semi because we had some friends and family in tow!). She understood exactly what we wanted and delivered (with a smile).

She was patient and so kind with the many questions I had in the months leading up the wedding and cognisant of the challenges of organising a wedding from overseas. The photo delivery was SUPER quick and the moments she captured are memories we'll treasure forever.

We loved Jenny from Stylish & Hip Weddings! She was so easy to work with- very laid back and fun, while still taking care of business and making sure we got all the photos we wanted. She quickly and easily corralled our family for formal portraits (no small feat), and was done before anyone could get tired. Spending time with Jenny as she photographed our wedding actually turned out to be one of the surprise highlights of the wedding. The photos came out gorgeous, and we loved looking through them. We used Jenny and her husband Matt to perform, document, and witness our wedding on May 22nd. We threw the entire event together in a few weeks, and Jenny and Matt were always great with communication and coordinating our elopement. Stylish & Hip Weddings Photography did an amazing job at our wedding! The entire team was fun, energetic, enthusiastic, and just great in every way! The photographers, the Photo Booth, the videographer - all got the job done but not in the way that annoys the guests. They listened to our requests, met our needs, and exceeded our expectations. We were so happy at the wedding, and that was just the beginning. Their professionalism after the wedding was even more impressive. The speed at which they turned around the proofs (carefully selecting and pre-editing their favorites) was quite impressive. Then when we finally got around to selecting the pictures for the albums, they turned that around equally as fast and the layout was amazing (and the patience of dealing with my minor tweaks that were probably not necessary to begin with but my OCD got the better of me was very reassuring). The video editing was fabulous and fast too - and again, when I had tweaks, a new version was in my inbox within a few hours. I can honestly say that within 3 months of our wedding we had 3 complete photo albums as well as a fully edited video (3 different versions of various lengths!) and we couldn't be happier! I would highly recommend Jenny and her team to any couple looking for a wedding photographer who can do it all!

This review is a few months overdue, but I've been spending all this time looking back at our amazing wedding photos taken by Mariliana at Stylish and Hip Weddings. Tracking down the Stylish and Hip Wedding website was so bittersweet...FINALLY I had found the wedding photographer that could capture exactly what we wanted - all the unfiltered, genuine and fun moments of one of the only days we will ever have both of our families together! I assumed that came at a pretty hefty price tag. Wrong! Jenny was super responsive and flexible and really helped us tailor a photography package that fit within our tight wedding budget.

My husband and I are not major hams when it comes to the camera so we really wanted someone who could blend in and take pictures without obviously taking pictures...Mariliana nailed it! Between Jenny, Mariliana, and the Stylish and Hip Wedding editing team, they really made some magic happen. It even rained on our wedding day, forcing us to hold our ceremony in a pretty dark restaurant and forego some of the outdoor group pictures, but everything turned out amazing. I recommend Stylish and Hip Weddings to everyone and anything.

Honestly, I get all teary eyed thinking about how awesome it was! I'm going to go look at our pictures again.

Jenny and Matt were amazing to work with from start to finish! We came to NYC from Toronto to get married and they were so knowledgeable about the area and offered many suggestions as to where we could do the ceremony and photography. I was referred to Jennifer MacFarlane at Stylish & Hip Weddings by her wonderful husband the Most Reverend Matt Levy who served as the officiant at our wedding. I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am.

Jenny was quick to respond to all of our questions and she was so helpful with keeping us on track with what we needed to do with our wedding planning. When our initial wedding venue had an unfortunate closure just months before our date, and we had to plan an entirely new wedding with new vendors on a new date in just a few months, she was a pleasure to deal with. She had our backs and she was very helpful and understanding in continuing to work with us.

Jonica was our day-of photographer and Frank was our day-of videographer. The shots of our ceremony and reception are amazing. Both Jonica and Frank were very nice and helpful throughout the night, offering suggestions as to where we should take some posed pictures. The best part though I think, was they were able to capture our whole wedding from beginning to end! We wanted a relaxed, party-style wedding with a bit of traditional stuff thrown in, and they totally got that and now I have pictures to prove it.

Stylish and Hip was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. At first we were disappointed that Jenny was unavailable, but after corresponding with Kristin, we knew that she was the perfect fit for our orchard wedding. She was so professional, kind, and easy to work with. She captured beautiful moments and staged lovely portraits. Most of all, Kristin made us feel so at ease on our wedding day. She paid attention to all of the small details that really mattered to us, and I never worried that a special moment or detail was being overlooked. Love Stylish & Hip. We decided to go with them because they fit in our limited photography budget (they offer customizable packages, so you really only pay for want you want and nothing else). I was initially disillusioned with my photography search, because it seemed that all the "affordable photographers" produced awkward, forced, and uninspired photography. Stylish & Hip was like a diamond in the rough -- the same high-end, artistic, non-traditional photography we loved... but on budget.

From our first meeting with their studio manager to our final goodbyes with the photographers, everything was easy and beautiful. We communicated with them mainly through email and they were always very reliable and responsive. Jenny's photographing style was really great, without being intrusive or annoying. We felt really comfortable around her. The turnaround on the pictures was FAST (just a few weeks). Every detail -- even the packaging of our full shoot flash drive in the mail -- was perfect. Can't recommend them enough. We were really happy with Stylish & Hip. Hugs all around. It was really great to hire vendors that we felt like hanging out with!

Jenny MacFarlane photographed our NYC wedding (elopement) in NYC and Brooklyn. Prior to the big day, Jenny was always very responsive and made herself available to talk through any issues that came up or needed to be adjusted, including one occasion on which she pulled over while driving in a rainstorm to talk about photography locations and reassure me on an outdoor location for the ceremony. She also connected me with a hair/makeup artist and a flower stylist who made me appear atypically beautiful at an incredible value.

The photography sessions were a blast. On top of being enormously talented, Jenny was the best post-wedding sidekick! So sweet, so kind and open, and just easy to be around.

And, finally, wow. I cannot say enough about the photographs of our wedding. They are at once timeless yet totally contemporary, frivolous yet romantic, down-to-earth yet monumental. Jenny's suggestions for locations worked out beautifully (especially the Brooklyn spots, people!).

We found Stylish and Hip Weddings through their blog featuring elopements, and we are so lucky to have found them! Jenny captured the laughter and joy of our wedding day perfectly! Jenny (and The Most Reverend Matt Levy as our officiant!) were wonderful. We literally decided three weeks before the day, and were in quite a rush. They were helpful with location, as we came from Australia, and the ceremony Matt wrote was beautiful and personal. I cannot recommend highly enough!

Jenny shot our wedding in July and my husband and I couldn't have been happier! From the beginning, Jenny was responsive when we reached out, she went to distance to make sure we were pleased with the wedding photography package, and she was friendly and welcoming along the way. Jenny shot our engagement shoot and made my husband and I feel comfortable in front of the camera. We had fun together and the photos were divine! She is very talented when it comes to capturing movement in photos, which makes the photos look more natural and less posed. Wedding day with Jenny was a pleasure! Because we were already so comfortable around Jenny, she made us feel relaxed before the wedding which was much appreciated. During the wedding, Jenny was almost invisible! She took incredible shots and our photos came back so beautiful, but during the wedding it didn't feel like Jenny was in the way. She did an amazing job of capturing the day and the important moments without interrupting the day. Jenny is so talented, I would highly recommend working with her!

I loved Jennifer Macfarlane! She is great. I'm super picky about photos. I come from a family of models and I've been around the fashion world, so I know the difference between an excellent photographer, and one that has no talent. Jennifer is talented.

From the moment I emailed Jenny MacFarlane, I knew she was going to be the right fit for our wedding. She was thrilled to be working with us and was even willing to work with me on a package that would suit the needs of our wedding.

She was a delight the day of our wedding. She spent the time to make us feel comfortable during our individual and family photos. She even was able to wrangle a 2nd shooter for our wedding that was able to get beautiful pics of our ceremony and reception.

I'd most definitely recommend her to anyone looking to capture the memories of an important event.

Kristin at Stylish & Hip Weddings was our photographer and she was great. We met up beforehand to get to know each other and discuss my vision for the wedding. She was really nice and did a great job of getting my husband and I to act natural in front of the camera. Kristin was really professional and flexible - she didn't bat an eye when my mom was running late to the 'getting ready' photos and she adapted to an unexpected location for for our family portraits. The photos turned out really well and I'm happy with them.
The post-wedding team is great too. We got a few photos printed and asked for an odd size and Jenny took them to a custom printer to get us the exact photo that we wanted. We are working with Emily on our album, and it's been a really seamless process.
I would definitely recommend Stylish & Hip Weddings to a friend.

Jenny from Stylish&Hip weddings was the best photographer for our big day! From our first meeting with Jenny , Theo and I felt completely comfortable around her. She came as a recommendation from our wedding planner at The Nomad Hotel and were thrilled that she new the space.

Jenny captured the best moments of the day with her documentary style images. She felt like a guest and friend at our wedding who just happened to have a great camera. Jenny from Stylish & Hip was just amazing from beginning to end. From the beginning, she took the time to get to know us and understand the type of wedding photographs we really wanted. When it came time for the day she was prompt (early even), so fun and easy going, she actually made taking wedding photos fun! We wandered all over our neighborhood taking awesome photos that reflected us and our lifestyle. The end result were amazing photos. What we really wanted was photos that captured moments, not stiff, posed unnatural, overtouched wedding photos (aka what most photos are out there). Instead, we have beautiful, artistic shots that not only capture the day, but the emotions and joy. PLUS -- out of all the photographers we looked into, she had the best prices! Cannot recommend their services enough!

These two amazingly talented people made our day so much fun! I would recommend them in a heart beat! A good photographer is so important for a wedding, and for good reason. We hired Jenny MacFarlane to shoot our "book-themed" wedding in March in NYC. Planning from Texas was difficult, but when we met her beforehand, we knew that she would be perfect--and trusted her completely. From outdoor shots around the city (NY Public Library; street murals, walking, taxi flagging) to indoor shots (The Library Hotel, Puck Fair, Housing Works), Jenny used amazing lighting and captured the essence of the day beautifully. She has the sweetest personality and all of our guests kept telling us how "awesome" our photographer was. Thank you, Jenny, for helping to make our day so magical and for taking photos that we can treasure for a lifetime!

Working with Stylish and Hip Weddings was a great experience.
As we were booking them from abroad we had the normal worries of reliability and credibility but they made us feel at ease with the friendly personalised emails and constant contact during the lead up to the big day.
The most fabulous photographer was assigned to us to capture our special day - Mariliana. She made us feel comfortable from the start (which was a difficult task with the nerves!) and made sure we had fun whilst capturing the moment in every shot.
I can't recommend Stylish and Hip Weddings enough - the photos were fabulous!

Jenny is incredible. My husband and I both hate getting our photo taken and she really made the day easy for us both. We had Mariliana and she was amazing! She knew exactly what we wanted, was efficient and didn't waste time asking us to make silly poses. She was everything we were hoping for in a wedding photographer - relaxed, easy going, friendly and professional, capturing all the right moments without us having to worry about anything. She was also very accommodating when we asked her (within 5 minutes notice!) to stay on longer than we had originally asked.

We loved our experience with stylish and hip weddings. Everyone is so warm and friendly and they were very responsive to all of our questions and concerns. They even sent us a check when we accidentally overpaid :). Mariliana our photographer was so wonderful to work with. She put us at ease immediately and captured such wonderful moments of our special day. We absolutely love our pictures and are so grateful for all of her hard work. And unlike many vendors we researched they provide a disc with all of the pictures of the wedding so you can have them forever! They also promptly create a gallery and have great options for albums.

Jenny was an absolute dream to work with during our wedding. First, she was always available to us to answer our questions, discuss photography styles, and give us guidance about when and how to do requested group shots. She listened to us intently and understood that we were most interested in capturing the "moments" from the day. At the same time, she was fun and laid-back but always professional. Her insights really demonstrated how much experience she has both with weddings and photography in general.

Beyond her wonderful demeanor, Jenny captured fantastic photos for us. They are unbelievably beautiful and capture the light-hearted, fun nature of our wedding. In addition to my husband and I being so happy and thrilled with our photos, our family members could not believe how lovely the shots were. In particular, she captured these amazing shots of us standing by the Empire State Building (from the rooftop of our wedding venue). They look like a postcard! Being located in Sydney Australia and planning a wedding in New York certainly was no easy feat but there was one thing we knew we didn't have to worry about once we booked and than was Jenny from Stylish and Hip Weddings.

From the moment we contacted Jenny at Stylish & Hip Weddings she felt like an old friend. She was absolutely helpful and really listened to what we wanted out of our big day. Jenny proved to be very flexible with our skype 'dates' given the massive time difference and was very willing to accomodate us outside New York business hours.

Jenny was so open and supportive of any ideas we had and also provided invaluable local knowledge - we even asked for her help in picking our central park ceremony location - she happily obliged!

On the day Jenny was great, arriving before schedule and there for every step of the way. There was absolutely no awkwardness and the entire bridal party had such a blast taking our shots after the ceremony - one of the best parts of the day! It truly felt like we were hanging out with a friend.

During the reception Jenny was able to capture all the great moments and the photo booth set up (run by her brother) was a hit with guests. Jen made sure she captured the entire evening - I dont know if she even took a break!

After the wedding we worked with Brian on our photo album and once again the professionalism and friendliness that is Stylish & Hip Weddings was on display. The book is absolutely stunning and a testament to the first class photos that Jen took on the day - we will cherish it forever.

We would recommend Stylish & Hip Weddings to EVERYONE. It really is a no brainer - we are so over the moon with the entire team and truly think of Jen as a friend. If anyone is having a destination wedding in New York you will not find a team more accommodating or understanding than Jen and the crew.

Mariliana and Jenny were fantastic--they were wonderful and easy to work with, the pictures are great, and the price is extremely reasonable. Jenny was very prompt in all of her responses as the planning went on. Many of our guests commented on how sweet and unobtrusive Mariliana was, and we really appreciated her talent and accessibility. It was very clear that she enjoys what she does and was excited to be part of our wedding. We had our pictures within two weeks. Jenny & Todd were truly amazing to work with, always positive and helpful even in moments of stress (as it always happens during weddings).
Jenny's pictures were nothing I've ever seen before, they had so much personality and emotion, I still look at them every single day. Our wedding included different cultures, events, a lot of dancing, people from all around the world and her pictures do so much justice to how crazy and emotional the events were.
She's always smiling and just being with her will make you feel relax on your wedding day. Plus, she shot so many pictures and gave us all of them, which is rare to find with wedding photographers. I originally found her in NY Mag under "affordable" photographers, but to me she is a million times better than those "classic" photographers that do the same shot at all the weddings and are much more expensive. She has so much experience with different cultures that she can adapt to everything and get the best pictures out of it.

Todd was truly amazing too, his video camera was small so it was not too invasive for the guests, I didn't want to have a full crew on the dance floor that would stop people from having fun. He made an amazing 15-minute video that was hosted online and that we were able to share with all of our guests. I cherish that video so much, it is a great keepsake for us that will live on forever and that you can watch whenever you feel like it instead of having to go home and put a DVD in...

After working in NYC as a magazine editor—and spending a decent amount
of time on photo sets—I knew I wasn’t going to be happy with “just
another wedding photographer.” Jenny was recommended by a photo editor
colleague, and we couldn’t have been more thrilled with the job she
did. Right off the bat Jenny was totally game to ditch Brooklyn for my
home in small-town Ohio (which I never would have guessed would have
been in the budget, but she was very willing to work with us). My husband and I are not the type of people who wanted to pose for 1000 formal photos, we wanted to make them short and sweet and just have the most fun possible! Mariliana helped us do just that! She captured all the special moments with each other and our loved ones, of everyone having a blast and we did not feel that we were being pulled away from our fun for photos. She fit right in with the crowd and was so creative and flexible with her shots and the venue. Our pictures speak for themselves and we get so many compliments! We would definitely recommend Mariliana, Jenny and the whole crew to everyone and anyone looking for beautiful, fun, unique photography.

From the first time we met Jenny, my husband and I felt like she was an old friend. She was incredibly fun, laid-back and professional throughout the months of planning and especially so on our wedding day. No pressure to buy a larger package than we wanted (though when I decided at the last minute we wanted to add an hour, it was no problem to make the change). And then when our reception ran late, she actually stayed longer than she was supposed to so we could get shots of a special moment scheduled at the end.

The proof is in the pudding though, and I have to say the photos look so lush and we couldn't be happier. They really capture the love and joy of the day, and she was sure to get all the shots we asked for as well as coming up with some great things on the fly.

Jenny was the absolute best! She was a pleasure to work with. My husband and I wanted a photojournalist for our wedding and she captured all those little moments that we never would have remembered years later. She definitely blended into the wedding while still capturing everything that was going on. We've gotten so many compliments on our photos, we couldn't be happier :)

Jenny and her colleagues were by far the most amazing cast of professionals we could have hired for our wedding. Our pictures came out far more amazing than we could have ever imagined. They were prompt, eager to get to work, and happy to accommodate any "visions" for pictures we had of our own. Jenny is not the type of photographer who is constantly in your face, she is respectful of the events of your big day while understanding the importance of capturing every moment. Our wedding album is more like a photo shoot for a magazine than a collection of typical run of the mill wedding photos. These pictures remind us of how we felt that day: like rock stars in a fairy tale wedding. Jenny is amazing at blending in to get the good shots, She is so comfortable and kind with people, and she just becomes part of the celebration, all the while never forgetting to open the shutter for all the shots.

Where to begin, the second I saw Jenny's ad in New York Magazine Weddings (the bible) I was pretty confident I had found my photographer. When the website popped up on my screen and that intoxicating, make you feel all warm and bubbly song came over the speakers we knew our search was over. Jenny was the one and only photographer we met with before choosing and how could you say no to someone with an infectious smile who is offering you mint tea on a rainy Brooklyn day! She was perfect! Laid back and relaxed just like us.

Our wedding day went by without a glitch. Jenny arrived at my parents house on her blue vespa and it was like an old friend entered the house. Taking pictures was so fun and we never felt like we were posing, which was something I was concerned about. We wanted fun spontaneous pictures and that is just what we got. Jenny and Mariliana were so amazing to work with!! The biggest compliment I receive is "your photos should be in a magazine"! Our album 10x10 leather is so beautiful and modern, we could not be happier! Parents albums both 10x10 look beautiful! The picture were uploaded to website so fast that we were able to enjoy them while laying on a beach in Hawaii during our honeymoon!!!

Another major selling point of Stylish Hip Wedding's is the videographer, Josh did such an amazing amazing job. The clip on the website is exactly what you get, a 15 minute clip (almost like a movie trailer) of every single special moment of the day. He did not miss a thing, it's a video that people actually enjoy sitting down to watch! Can't say enough about the crew at Stylish Hip Weddings they Rock!!!!
