They all did a great job! We started at 8 am and were done by 11 am. They quoted to be done at 2 pm so we had to find something to do inside all day before the wedding. She ended up bringing an additional assistant than the contract stated so thats why they were done so early. Loved how my hair and makeup turned out. I would definitely reccomend doing a trial run so you can tweak anything along the way. -
User1521777 Sent on 01/29/2014Amanda and her assistant did a great job for me and all my bridesmaids! She was flexible, came to my location, and was efficient while keeping a fun atmosphere. Everyone was really happy with their hair and their experience with both of them. I would highly recommend Styles for the Aisle for any bride!

User1279854 Sent on 08/09/2013Amanda of Styles for the Aisle was the stylist for myself and my wedding party this past month. I found her by doing a search on the Internet and after talking to her over the phone booked her to come to the hotel I would stay at for the wedding. She was very affordable for the Columbus area and very experienced at updos. She did my trial and my hair came out looking just like the inspiration photo I showed her. We talked about making minor changes to on the day of the wedding. She and an assistant came to the hotel the morning of and spent about 4 hours doing the hair of myself, 8 bridesmaids and also the mothers and grandmother. Everyone seemed pretty happy with her work and I myself appreciated her making the adjustments she did after the trial. She even gave me a cute cloth clutch with a tiny bottle of hairspray in it for touch-ups. She kept us on time and looking great! -

Jeanette Sent on 08/05/2015First off, I want to echo what other reviewers have said about Amanda being very easy to work with, extremely flexible with changes, and just being a very bubbly positive personality that made the day much less stressful for all of us! Her assistant showed up at my hotel room to start curling hair first, and not long after Amanda arrived as well to start doing the actual updos. I originally had her signed up to only do 8 styles, but after seeing her work two more people ended up getting theirs done - and they were still able to finish up with all 10 people in less than 3 hours! Not only that, everyone had their own unique style and they were all able to work with Amanda to get something that not only looked beautiful but suited their individual personalities. Her price was extremely reasonable, especially for an onsite service (I believe it was $50 per person).
The couple things I will say, at first I was a little bit confused because the vendor profile indicates that she also does makeup but that is actually not the case anymore as I understand it. I was referred to another vendor she partners with, Stacie Spears (Pearls and a Little Black Dress). which was somewhat frustrating at the time but Stacie was also wonderful so it really ended up not being a problem. Also my updo did not hold up throughout the whole event but honestly between how humid it was that day, how much I was dancing, and the fact that I'm the perfect height for people to knock into my hair when they hug me...she probably would've had to dip my hair in concrete to make it stay put all night :)
Overall, would definitely recommend Amanda for any Columbus brides looking for an affordable but talented onsite hair stylist! -
User2796739 Sent on 10/02/2016The updos were absolutely terrible on the wedding day. No volume and all looked the same with different pictures shown to them. My mom wanted a blowout and they gave her very tight spiral curls so she had to shower and have her hair done elsewhere right before the wedding. Every girl even the ones with thin hair had tons of pins in their hair. Bobby pins weren't hidden at all. None of the girls were given what they asked for. Half of them had random pieces hanging down. Luckily we had a friend available to redo everyones hair so they were happy. They showed up a little later than they were supposed to. Amanda was very rude and kept badgering my mom to make me come see her to try to make me still pay her even though the contract didn't say that at all! The trial run was awful my makeup looked like a clown and my hair was bad so when I notified her I was canceling her services she kept trying to lie anout the contact then stopped once she was prove wrong. Definitely don't recommend. Much better stylists for the same price in the area! -Sarah S.

Client had a signed contract with us and decided to use her friend( which was free)two days before the wedding instead and was hiding in the bathroom because she was trying to stiff the company. Very unprofessional!!! -

Amanda was not professional, rude to my bridesmaids, used too much hairspray to the point I couldn’t get my veil in my hair. All girls had to fix their hair hours after she left.Styles For The Aisle's reply:
When you wear you hair half up half down you need hairspray in it , especially when it fine , it will fall out. I had a good time with these girls in this wedding party, still trying to understand how I was rude , when I am never rude. I realized after 27 years of doing hair I can please them all.
