Katrina and John are amazing at what they do. I knew I wanted them to shoot our wedding after interacting with them as a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding.
We did our engagement session and our wedding through Studio Laguna. After each session Katrina posted a 'sneak peek' on their blog within a day. It was so nice to be able to see our story and a few of the photos so soon!
We were very impressed with the end product, and had such a great time working with Katrina and John. During your wedding day, you will be spending more time with your photographer than any other vendor so it meant a lot to us that we got along so well with them. We heartily recommend Studio Laguna to anyone who is looking for a photographer for any occasion!

If you're looking for an amazing couple that engage with your wedding party and catch every picture you could have dreamed of, look no further! Katrina and John are truly a dynamic duo! I wasn't the most organized bride and let them take the wheel in terms of the shots they should take. I honestly couldn't have picked the pictures better myself. They matched the style and feel that I wanted to a T, and exceeded my expectations! Their pricing is affordable and you get so much more than you could imagine! I honestly could not say enough about Studio Laguna!

I loved working with Studio Laguna. They were great with getting back to me whenever I had a question and the photos…WOW the photos are over the top! I couldn't be more excited to display them and look at them for years to come.

Oh goodness, what to say about Studio Laguna?! They were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We received a link with a preview to pictures the next morning! We have had so many compliments on the photos from the preview. We are so excited to see the rest! We had to take some additional family photos right before the first dance. I kept telling Katrina that all I wanted was a piece of cheesecake (which we had picked out in lieu of cake). She went over and got a piece for us! I cannot say enough great things about Studio Laguna!

I do not hesitate to recommend Studio Laguna for photography. Their photographs really capture the mood of the event and the personality of the couple and guests. Studio Laguna was a fantastic part of our wedding. Katrina was very helpful and responsive to all of our requests and extremely personable. We had to make some last minute adjustments for our ceremony due to the weather, but it was nice to know that the photographers would roll with the punches. Katrina and John provided the perfect balance of getting the shots we wanted while also being invisible and getting stunning of our guests enjoying the evening. By the next morning we had a beautiful sneak preview of the images and we were speechless. When we received all of the photographs from the wedding, we looked through them multiple times and each time felt like the first. The attention to detail is something that to this day I find amazing. Katrina and John provide gorgeous art to commemorate a beautiful day.

Katrina was always quick to communicate and deliver on our expectations. She and john were incredibly easy to work with and they took pictures that blew our mind. This duo photography team was fantastic! I have to admit, I am one of those that doesn't like her photo taken....and these guys made it sooo much fun! They were very helpful with suggesting locations that fit my husbands and my personalities. They made the day of go extremely smooth when it came to making sure all the photos we wanted were taken. I can't wait to work with them again in the future!

I really can't say enough good things about Studio Laguna. They photographed a family friend's wedding a year ago and we loved the work they did, so we hired them to do ours. They had really creative ideas, which meant we didn't end up with the same type of photos as everyone else getting married usually does. And being a husband and wife team, they were able to split up, capture different moments, or work together to get the perfect shot. They're also very confident and professional, which was reassuring. They were able to predict what would look best in photos later, and what we didn't think of by ourselves that we would really want to capture. For example, Katrina reminded me to put my hairpiece on the right (and not left) side so it would be visible in photos during the ceremony--little stuff like that.

And they're relaxed and easy to be around, which was nice when we had a couple of dramatic family moments and I kind of felt like I was going to flip out. I appreciated that they were sensitive to the family dynamics we had. And lastly, I also liked that they were really interested in what we wanted to do for photography--what our style is, what family portraits were important to get, etc. So, I'd say A+ work for sure. Their work speaks for itself! You should give them a call.

My husband and myself couldn't be happier with our wedding photos!!! We will be sure to cherish them dearly for many years to come!! Studio Laguna knows what they are doing! Almost like experts from out of this universe! Very dependable which is very important to Minnesotans in the winter season! They were more than friendly and helped us to achieve what we needed and wanted, and within out budget! We were mesmerized by our photos when we saw them! So many photos taken and all above excellent quality!!! So hard to choose favorites!!! Katrina is extremity talented! She makes you feel so special all the time, and never once made me feel rushed! She listens very carefully to your input to deliver you out of this world images, that are just what you have been dreaming of! She really strives to understand who the couple is, what they are truly like, and what they would expect out of a wedding photographer! I know it is overwhelming during this initial planning process to know where to start, but please let me save you some time. Check out Studio Laguna Photography and you will not be disappointed.
Upon our initial meeting, my gut instinct knew immediately that they were the right choice. They are a husband and wife team, who work creatively in-balance with each other and display a strong and unique artistic vision. If you want photographers that capture natural moments and emotions as they happen, and who see new possibilities for a beautiful picture and are willing to take risks – Studio Laguna is for you. I promise they will capture the memories and sense of your day better than anyone else out there. My entire family (both sides), friends, and co-workers cannot not stop talking about how great our pictures are, and we also ordered one of their albums which I highly recommend doing. Our album is something we will treasure forever – and we have just been told from numerous people that it is the best wedding album they have ever seen. (We agree!)
I am beyond happy with having met Katrina and John Hannemann and being able to now recommend them to my friends and family. In addition to being phenomenal photographers, they were also extremely supportive of us during the entire day. I was quite jittery, and Katrina was right there giving advice (she’s been to a lot of weddings!), helping me get my dress on with my mom/sisters, helping to control our large and rowdy wedding party, and she and John even went to get us hand warmers since it was so cold on our day! They truly care about you during this important part of your life, and will make your day better just by being there. I am so happy that I followed my initial instincts. I have nothing but GREAT things to say about Studio Laguna!

Starting out, I interviewed three wedding photographers, was less than impressed and feeling a little discouraged. Through a recommendation from a friend, I scheduled a consultation with Studio Laguna. From the moment my fiance and I sat down with Katrina, we knew Studio Laguna would be a perfect fit for us. Their portfolio was beautiful - their aesthetic was exactly what we were looking for. We also knew it was important to choose a photographer we could picture spending 6+ hours of our day with. Katrina made us feel so comfortable and was extremely personable - we felt as if we already knew her.

On our wedding day, our family and friends kept telling us how cool Katrina and John were, and that unlike with other photographers, they didn't feel pressured to do "cheesy" poses, and felt very comfortable (even having a little fun!) - my husband and I couldn't agree more.

We love that they provide you with discs containing every single shot they took (all color corrected!), so that you can print/share any photo you want (full rights), without having to choose from proofs. When we received our photos, we were blown away with how beautiful they were. Katrina and John captured absolutely every shot we could have ever wanted and provided a perfect mix of "staged" versus candid. Our photos truly tell a story of the amazing day we had!

Wow...we are so thrilled with Katrina & John from Studio Laguna! We were referred by a friend and upon meeting with Katrina for our consultation, immediately knew that Studio Laguna was the photographer for us! They were very flexible and worked with us to put together a package that met our needs. Katrina was always available via email and was very responsive - she went out of her way to follow up on fun ideas and confirm any questions she had about photography needs. The wedding day went smoothly and it really felt like Katrina & John were old friends who just happened to be our photographers, too! We were very lucky to have been referred to Studio Laguna by our caterer; D'Amico. I had a consultation with Katrina and was very impressed with Studio Laguna's work, but thier flexability was just as appealing. They were so easy to work with! The wedding day was documented flawlessly. After seeing all of the pictures, you'd think there were 10 photographers! They were professional, assertive, and personable all at the same time. Katrina's bubbly personality made everyone feel at ease and have fun, while John was moving all over the place capturing some wonderful shots that we never would've even thought of. Having Katrina photograph your wedding is like having a family member...in a great way. She is personally invested in documenting your day as if it's her own. You can tell that they Hanneman's are passionate about what they do, and truly love doing it. Not only did she listen to what we wanted, capture every detail, and connect with our guests and family members (to the point where my Father in Law asked me if she was a long time friend of mine!) but she sees things that you wouldn't even think of and makes sure they are shot. Her creativity, artistic vision, and true love of photography shine through in your photos.

I couldn't have asked for a better photographer to shoot our day. She was like having an additional personal attendant, friend and photographer all rolled into one. On top of it all, their pricing and value are unmatched.

Long and short...if you go with anyone else, you're crazy!

My sister hired John and Katrina for her wedding, I hired them for my reception, 2 of my cousins and a family friend hired them for their weddings as well. Word of mouth yo! The photos were one thing I knew I wouldn't have to worry about when planning the rest of my wedding.

Their photos are always fantastic, unique and original. They know everything about weddings and have great tips to make everything go smoothly. I would recommend them to anyone.

John and Katrina were fantastic! From day one, Katrina was really helpful and accommodating. Booking Studio Laguna was really easy and straightforward, and we were really happy with the value that they offered (in terms of packages, rights to the pictures, and what felt like a 2-for-the-price-of-1 deal since John and Katrina work as a team.) In the months before the wedding, they offered suggestions of photos, locations, and themes--and were really enthusiastic about all of it! On the day of the wedding, Katrina stayed with the girls as they were getting ready, and even stayed with my dad and I as we were waiting for our cue to head upstairs and make our entrance. It wasn't part of her job description but she definitely helped calm nerves! After the ceremony, the wedding party and family left to take some pictures. John and Katrina made sure to keep that section short and sweet (as we asked for) and also made it clear that any time we wanted to stop and head back to the party that was totally fine. Throughout the night they were taking pictures unobtrusively and even enjoying the party themselves! To top it all off, we got a small sample of pictures right away, and the whole lot of them in just over a month! We are so happy with the pictures and would *definitely* recommend Studio Laguna to anyone looking for a professional photographer!

John and Katrina did an amazing job photographing our wedding. They were very prepared and had great locations scouted out ahead of time at our venue, which is invaluable when it's only 35 degrees outside! The photographs captured our wedding perfectly, and did a wonderful job of telling "our story." Katrina is very responsive to inquiries (very helpful when you are planning a wedding from a different state), and both John and Katrina went above and beyond the call of duty on our wedding day to assist with all the minor details that can sometimes be overlooked. We would highly recommend them as photographers.

First of all, let me just say that I have never written a review for anything in my life. However, my experience with John and Katrina more than deserves one. From our first consultation, I was completely impressed with not only their flexibility and professionalism, but also how comfortable they made us feel. There's something about having your engagement and wedding photos taken by "real people" who are married to each other that makes it such a personal experience. I couldn't be happier with our photos themselves. There is no denying the talent that these two people have. When I tried to take note of my favorites, I found myself writing down every photo number! I re-lived our entire wedding day through the pictures and they caught so many great moments I didn't even notice at the time. My whole wedding party complimented us on how great our photographers were. They gave everyone freedom to be themselves and didn't take a million unnecessary photos. We had a blast taking photos, believe it or not! Cost-wise.. You simply cannot beat the value of Studio Laguna. Bottom line- I would recommend them to my closest friends and relatives (in a heart-beat)... which I think says the most! I couln't have asked for a better photographer. Katrina and John were amazing. I planned my whole wedding 1700 miles away, which made things a bit challenging but Katrina and John went above and beyond to make our special day memoriable with all the amazing photos they captured. They searched out all the right places for us to take the photos that I wanted for back drops. She put together the most amazing photo album for us. I would recommend this team to anyone I know who is getting married and on a budget. They are very flexiable, they even stayed an extra hour at our dance just to capture a couple polka dances.
We were extremely happy. They were so much fun to work with and made us feel so comfotable infront of the camera..

Katrina and Jon were more than just our photographers. They were almost like our personal assistants for the day. Katrina even provided guidance on the best method for getting into my lace-back dress (not an easy feat). Their attentiveness to our day did not at all distract them from the main task of taking fabulous photos of our day!

We planned our Stillwater wedding while living in Colorado and with one of us working 90% of the time in Washington. Katrina's ability to determine what was important to us, and her prompt communication (e-mail was our primary method) on all questions were essential to our satisfaction.

On top of all of these wonderful qualities, the photos were amazing! I can't remember how many of my married friends commented "your photographer was way better than ours!" It's now three months from the wedding and my Maid of Honor just told me that she is ordering a very large photo that Jon took of her kids that she intends to have hanging for the rest of their lives. She actually thanked me for hiring Katrina and Jon because she is so happy with the photo.

Katrina and John are a husband and wife team. They specialize in capturing couples "in the moment". My husband and I had a fantastic time working with Katrina and John for both our engagement photos and our wedding photos. They were very professional, prompt, and truly easy to work with. They let us goof around and be natural in our shots and even encouraged it. My wedding party said it was the most fun they'd ever had taking wedding photos! The photographers were also extremely flexible, we even ended up changing the venue for our outside shots the Friday before the wedding, but John and Katrina were very willing to work with us every step of the way. I absolutely love the photos they took and find it very difficult to select only a few "favorites". We paid for 5 hours of photography, mini DVDs for our parents, a proof book, and a DVD of our digital "negatives". I would highly recommend Studio Laguna for wedding photography!

We just received our digital images from Studio Laguna, and we couldn't be happier!! I can't say enough about how amazing the whole experience was. My husband and I decided that a elopement was "the only" way to go for our wedding. We are both pretty laid back people and didn't want to have to do any planning or worrying on our wedding day. We first decided that we were not going to have a photographer there, but thought that since no one was going to know about it we could at least have a few pictures for them to look at:-) I originally chose Studio Laguna because it's so close to our home, and I am so glad I did!! I've been involved in many weddings over the last 10 years and I know that none of the wedding photographer's had such great communication. Katrina was there to answer any of my (or should I say my husband's!) questions. We didn't specifically know what we wanted as far poses go for the day either. I asked her to use some of her creativity to show "us being us". She nailed it!!! Everyone that has seen the images can say enough about how amazing they are! (We agree!) The prices were more than fair. We ordered a photo guest book from them that was a huge hit at the reception that our parents had for us! The website was awesome too. Instead of my mom calling me every other day saying "I want 2 of these, 3of...", she was able to go online and order her own prints. After seeing what my 2 sisters went through, it was awesome! I would highly recommend Studio Laguna to anyone, especially those that don't want "cookie cutter" wedding photographs.

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING.......THIS is the only word that comes to my mind. It was a pleasure working with this husband and wife team. They are super friendly, super flexible and really work to make this day special. I can't wait to work more with this team. John and Katrina made our wedding day perfect. Katrina has very quick response and gets back to you as soon as she can with any answers to questions you may have. Studio Laguna worked with our budget and I can't thank them more. I highly recommend this team for your special day or event!

We could not be happier with the service John and Katrina provided us with! Not only did our pictures from the wedding turn out well, but they helped the whole day flow better. We are completely satisfied with the work they do and would recommend them to anyone. In fact, we had numerous compliments after our wedding on their professionalism, helpfulness and quality of work they do. One of our friends has already said she'd use them in her wedding!

Leading up to the wedding and now afterwards, Katrina has always answered any of my questions quickly and thoroughly. Going into the week before our wedding, I felt 110% comfortable with them as our photographers.

John and Katrina shot our wedding as a team, which gave him more time with the boys and Katrina more time with us girls...plus, they were able to get many candid behind the scenes shots that wouldn't have been possible w/out 2 photographers. We had a lot of different shots taken and laughed throughout the entire process. Katrina and John made us and everyone involved feel comfortable and they were also very professional.

Katrina was incredibly helpful...she carried my train for me on the way out the door for the ceremony, and she even started to bustle my dress while we waited for my bridesmaids.

To be honest, all of our pictures from the whole day turned out amazing. We couldn't be happier with their services and the images they captured. I genuinly feel Katrina and John captured all of the emotion, joy, happiness, fun and love of our wedding day. We will treasure the pictures forever and we have no regrets about choosing them as our photographers.

Cost-wise- very, very reasonable. We got a package deal and are very happy with the outcome. We shopped around quite a bit and Studio Laguna was very reasonable and also flexible. Included in our package was an engagement session and they also came down on the day of our rehearsal to get a feel for our venue, the atmosphere and the personality of our wedding party. Very satisfied with everything about our package.

Bottom-line: Great photographers, awesome pictures, very reasonable price and wonderful people to work with. We couldn't be happier.

John and Katrina make a fabulous photography team. It was so nice to have them both present during the entire day as they were able to capture moments that might otherwise be lost. They work very well with all different types of people and made it extremely comfortable for the entire wedding party and yet creative at the same time. We were so impressed with the quality of the photos - we couldn't have been happier with the results. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Kartina and John were GREAT! They were so easy to work with and really listened to what we wanted. We first booked an engagement session with them and were thrilled with the product! They came to our rehearsal to get to know the church and the families. The day of the wedding they were FABULOUS! I can't tell you how great it was to have TWO photographers being able to capture the day... it helped our formal pics go faster and it provided for different angles/view of certain siutations. The photo quality is perfect. The book that we ordered was AWESOME! Everyone I show it to is so impressed! My parents even ordered a smaller version for themselves! I would highly recommend Sutdio Laguna to anyone- and I do! They did my brother's wedding!

Beyond impressed. Husband and wife team who were great to work with the entire time. We recieved our photos a week after the wedding! They took tons of great pictures; very creative. Katrina was so helpful with wedding advice and even helped me put on my veil. John also helped all the guys pin their flowers on! They made sure they got great shots and I was SO happy with them. I definately reccomend them to anyone.

They were flexible with us, allowing us to create our own package. They even walked around during the wedding and got all the guests e-mail addresses so they could forward the picture link to them (saved me time)!

Plus, they were great at dealing with my crazy family!

Love, love, loved them!!!

John and Katrina were wonderful! Everything was very professional. We had beautiful photos. Both traditional and unique. We have had many compliments. They kept us on time for everything. I've been in four weddings and remeber how tired I was of smiling and posing. John and Katrina kept it simple and fun. I couldn't have been more pleased with anyone else! It was such an honor to have them photograph our wedding. I would recomend Studio Laguna to everyone.

I could not have been more happy with my photography! Katrina was extremely easy to work with throughout the entire process, was quick to respond to any questions, and even offered help with selecting other vendors. She went above and beyond the call of duty, and my wedding photos turned out beautiful!

Studio Laguna was wonderful to work with. We used them for both our engagement session and our wedding day, and they were professional, easily accessible, and fun. Studio Laguna's blend of photojournalism and posed artistic shots was exactly what we had in mind when we started thinking of photography for the wedding. We had never had professional photos taken of ourselves before, and John and Katrina made us feel very much at ease. During the ceremony itself, they were unobtrusive, but managed to get some wonderful shots.
It was also very nice to have them around for the rehearsal. We got married in a garden and there were a lot of nooks and crannies that I might have missed that turned out to be wonderful photo opportunities. Having them there the day before the wedding really allowed things to flow smoothly on the day of the event.
We received our photos quickly, and the book Studio Laguna put together really did a nice job telling a pictoral story of the day. It is a lovely thing to have in our possession.
Having John and Katrina photograph our day remains one of the only things I'd do the same if I did it over again.

The photos taken by Studio Laguna were extensive, creative, and professional. They worked with our ideas and offered their own suggestions when we were at a loss. Every member of our wedding party has at least one photo from our wedding displayed prominently as a piece of art in their home.

Kat & John, from Studio Laguna, were genuinely engaged in our wedding from start to finish, through the planning stages to the big day! We enjoyed Kat & John's laid back expertise and were stunned by the final products! My husband and I often refer to Kat & John as "ninjas" because they moved throughout our day without being noticed. Our photos not only captured the essence of the day, but also our personalities and the tender moments that we want to remember forever. We highly recommend Studio Laguna Photography! Although the turn-around time was a bit long between the wedding and when we received our images, the wait was worthwhile!

Studio Laguna was wonderful!! We loved all the attention to detail and fun they brought to the pictures. Picture taking can be long, boring, and envasive at events, but not with these guys. They made one on one sessions fun and the rest of the time we didn't even know they where there, but boy were they!! They got soo many good pictures and now we have ALOT of beautiful memories to show people!!

I never had any doubt about choosing Kat and John to photograph our wedding. Being personal friends with them I new we could trust them with this important part of our wedding day. Now after working with them I can attest to their professionalism as well! They did an excellent job with our photos! They each have their own unique style which makes for an even more broad array of photos.

We did an engagement session with them at Fort Snelling State Park that turned out great. They didn't even mind that we brought our dog to be included in a few shots.

Our wedding photos were amazing. My only regret is that there are a few shots that we wanted but didnt get. However that's because we didnt provide any kind of "must take" list for Kat and John, not because they just didnt take the pictures. They went above and beyond for us. Kat made sure we had water, held on to stuff if we needed an extra hand, and tried to ease the nervousness we all had. Sh also helped keep us on schedule since we had very limited time between our ceremony and reception, and could not be late since the reception was on a boat.

There were so many shots of people enjoying our reception that I never would have thought to take but I'm so glad they did. As a bride you physically can't see everything that happens at your reception, and seeing the photo's let us relive moments we missed. I can't wait to sit down with them to pick the photo's for our album. There are literally hundreds to choose from and they're all fantastic! I can't praise them enough!

We had such a great experience with Studio Laguna! John and Katrina are incredibly talented and create amazingly beautiful photographs. Just as important, they made us feel so comfortable and confident throughout the process. We are both a bit camera-shy, but taking our couple photos with John and Katrina was one of our favorite parts of the entire wedding day...they made it so fun! Their creative ideas on locations / poses and gentle guidance to help us look our best were invaluable...and we couldn't be happier with the results. Would absolutely recommend Studio Laguna to any bride (and groom) :)

Katrina and Jon were so great!!! They were so sweet and were extremely flexible, they listened to our wedding day vision and were able to custom our package to fit our wants and needs! Thank you guys!! Also, when I was stressing out on the day of the wedding, they calmed me down they were a great help making sure everything went smoothly. We couldn't have asked for more beautiful pictures, and they were willing to do anything for all the fun shots we wanted, even stop traffic on a busy street :) Jon and Katrina were wonderful to work with and I know they will do every wedding with the same professionalism and quality as they did ours. Seriously worth every penny. We are absolutely in love with our engagement photos and wedding photos. We have received so many compliments on how stunning our photos are in comparison to other wedding photos they have seen. The amount of candid photos we have as well, being Studio Laguna is a duo (dream team, actually), is priceless. It was so fun to look through those photos specifically, because they perfectly captured the love and the enjoyment family and friends (and we) had on our wedding day.

John and Katrina were great! I'm so happy with the final product...the only problem was deciding what prints to order and what shots to include in the album. They were wonderful on the wedding day...for all you brides out there keep in mind that your photographer will pretty much be attached to you hip for most of the day so be sure you like them. Katrina was great, she was extremely helpful, but unimposing! John was great too. We have gotten so many compliments from friends and family who have seen our pictures and especially those who have seen our album! Katrina has a great eye and helped capture our day in a way that will be fun to look back on for years to come. Thanks Studio Laguna!

My husband and I had very different budgets & expectations for photography and we found that Studio Laguna was the perfect compromise! They were willing to substitute the engagement session in their package for an extra hour of day-of photography, which we appreciated (especially since the crazy dancing pictures are some of our favorites!).

My favorite part of choosing Studio Laguna was the fact that I could read Katrina's blog post (including 20 of the best pictures) THE NEXT MORNING! Having those pictures to share made waiting two months to get our full 1,200 set of photographs more bearable.

We had a blast taking "formal" portraits on the day of the wedding. That's impressive because I've been a bridesmaid in other weddings where the picture taking is excruciatingly boring, long, and inefficient. John and Katrina let us be ourselves, encouraged us to act goofy (the pictures of us laughing at ourselves are awesome), and they used the allotted time efficiently in order to capture everything we asked for.

If I were to go back in time, I would have asked for less kissing pictures and less serious pose pictures. Not because they weren't good quality, but because they weren't as "us" as the smiling/laughing shots. So make sure to specify your preference on that front.

Sadly our wedding photo's are the one thing we are disappointed about from our Wedding. We had wanted to have a photographer who had a more creative portfolio and did unique photo's. Unfortunately even though Studio Laguna displays a great website and seems to have the ability to do great work they did not do so for our wedding :-( They arrived on time, very courteous, everything seemed fine. We were told we would get our photo's in 4-6 weeks. After 12 weeks and no word I contacted Katrina, to be told she was rushing to finish another wedding and we would get our photo's in a week. 2 days later I received our photo's, only a handful had actually been edited nicely and only 1 was black and white!! We were so disappointed as when we were asked on our contract what we were looking for we had stated more creative edits and black and white!

We are extremely disappointed with our choice to go with Studio Laguna and if it required more money to get more attention to our photo's we would have gladly paid! But instead we have a bunch of photo's that we dont even care to print!! A sad ending to our special day.
