Beautiful Wedding Photos
Shannon was exceptional. Her photos are elegant and timeless and she is easy to work with. Truth, this is my second wedding. My first wedding photographer took some great shots but her ability to capture people was lackluster. Shannon has mastered taking great shots that really capture people in the moment. A lot of photographers do one or the other well, but not both. Shannon’s pricing is very fair and she works well with the other wedding vendors. Shannon offers personalized service. If you book with Shannon, you aren’t booking with some company that will treat your wedding like another number on an assembly line and send two photographers out to shoot your wedding you have never met. Amazing, fun, and energetic!
Shannon and Belinda absolutely made our wedding day amazing. They were personable and attentive to our wants, and also joined in on our fun. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't change a thing. Shannon was wonderful! She worked well with my husband and my camera awkwardness , making sure we felt comfortable, while also posing us in just the right way. She was engaging and fun to talk to, it felt like we had an old friend behind the lens. All these things made for such a great experience, I would suggest her to anyone!Shannon was wonderful! Studio Carre was an excellent choice for our wedding photographer! After moving away from San Diego recently, we decided to return to La Jolla to host a destination wedding at the Martin Johnson House. Since we were coordinating everything remotely, it was reassuring to see how professional and prepared Shannon was for every interaction. From video conference calls, to a comprehensive survey to learn about our personal story & style preferences, Shannon led us through the details with confidence and creativity. We met on site during a preview trip with our coordinator about 2 months before the event, and then Shannon planned another scouting trip since she hadn't worked at the venue previously. She sent us a draft schedule well ahead of time, and patiently accommodated our last-minute changes to family portrait requests.
On wedding day, she brought a great assistant photographer and both helped to calmly nudge us to stay on time during the transition after getting ready. We did our first look at the hotel, and then they even drove us to the ceremony site for our couple photos! The pre-ceremony portraits took a while, but Shannon had some great ideas for locations and poses around our venue site. Shortly before the ceremony, she suggested a few photos in front of a beautiful wooden barn door with the best man and maid of honor. Other poses featured details from the landscape, either wedged between flowers and trees, or on a nearby balcony in front of the ocean. I'm looking forward to seeing this wide range of settings, in addition to the standard family gatherings in front of the altar. During our reception, when our coordinator pointed out that we were running later than expected, it was a relief to know that we had the option to extend the photographers' time.
I also appreciated her online billing system to keep track of everything. Compared to other vendors, this really helped me streamline payments and due dates! Shannon Henry is an incredibly talented and professional photographer. We picked her out from about 25 suggestions in the San Diego area because we simply LOVED her softer style and her eye and idea for beautiful shots. She was warm, created a package that was exactly what we wanted and took well over 5 hours at different places and with different outfits shooting a great range of different motifs. Of all the 200 photos there is not one we don't like which I have never experienced before. Definitely highly recommend!Shannon Henry is an incredibly talented and professional photographer. Even though our timeline was running behind they both stayed late and made sure that all the important shots were taken. First of all, let me begin by saying I am one picky hard to be pleased person. Shannon is the best photographer any bride can ask for. Her taste is magical and beautiful. Since I know how picky I am, I started by looking and contacting so many photographers to find the right one, sure enough the moment I went through Shannon's portfolio I knew she is the one and there is no way I can work with anybody else. We met with her before hand and she shoot our engagement photos. she did such an incredible job which was just another confirmation about our right decision. She submitted our pictures for Exquisite Wedding magazine and we were featured there. Who could beleive such ordinary non-model people can go online!!
Our wedding day came and we had an awesome memorable moments with lots of great pictures to go back. She has such unique taste that is beyond word. Candid pictures she took from me getting ready to giving my gift to my dad or to when my husband saw me for the first time they are all priceless.
We loved her work so much that we decided to have an after wedding session with her so we can get more editorial pictures. Sure enough they are amazing with so many good ones to chose from. Our home is filled with lots of our pictures and I always joke with my husband we are such narcissistic people!!!

Shannon, owner of Studio Carre' Photographie was such a pleasure to work with. She was warm and welcoming upon our first meeting, and her photographs spoke for themselves. Her work was phenomenal! We had met with a couple other photographers that day before arriving at Shannon's studio, but I knew within the first five minutes that she was the right choice for us. The package we selected included an engagement shoot as well as the-day-of wedding coverage. Both days she brought along Belinda, a second photographer that had an amazing eye as well :) Both ladies were delightful to work with. They made us feel comfortable and gave great direction (which was a relief considering my husband and I had never done a photoshoot before). We were both a little nervous the day of our engagement shoot, and my soon to be mother-in-law had been hospitalized the night before (she had stage 4 lung cancer and it was taking over). It was a hard day to do a photo shoot, yet both ladies were extremely patient with us, and seemed to genuinely care about the situation and what we were going through. They spent SO much time with us that day! They captured some amazing, raw, and emotional moments. We could not have been happier with the results of both our shoots. Their creativity and eye for great angles gave us LOVELY photographs! Every cost and detail was laid out very thoroughly in our emails back and forth (which was nice, considering some of our other wedding vendor contracts had SOOO much fine print you seemed to get lost in it all). If you book Studio Carre' for ANY special event you WILL NOT be disappointed! I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Shannon is amazing! She was an absolute pleasure to work with both in the planning process and on the day of our wedding. She really knows her stuff and has a great portfolio to prove it, not to mention her amazing personality and wonderful coaching skills. She pays attention to every little detail - hand placement, how your hair looks, which direction your hips are facing, anything obscuring the background. The things that you never think of - she's on it. The best part - we had a blast spending our wedding day with her. She photographed us from getting ready all the way through hours and hours of dancing, and she always kept us laughing and smiling. Her assistant, Belinda, is amazing as well. Both of them were such a pleasure to work with, we were sad when they left at the end of the night. Definitely recommend Studio Carre for any of your photographic needs!!I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Shannon is amazing! We searched for weeks looking for the right photographer. Our search was not simply based on talent or price because San Diego has plenty of professional photography teams that can do a great job at a fair price. The images of that day last forever and we needed the people capturing our moment to be more than hired help and that can be tricky. However, Shannon and Brent made that happen. We found them after about 6 weeks of searching and countless meetings with other photographers. Searching random websites we can across their page. The images on their website really caught our attention and we scheduled an appointment. During our introduction they spent so much time asking us questions and getting a better feel for us. They took the time to answer why certain pictures are taken, how to determine the best timeline for pictures, how to maximize photo time so you spent more time with guests and are very thorough in their approach. That approach made us comfortable moving forward with them, a decision we will never regret. Our package included an engagement session along with day of wedding photography. Studio Carre agreed to shoot our engagement session at 2 locations, the San Diego Zoo and Coronado, something a lot of other photographers wanted to charge extra for. The engagement session turned out magnificent. Shannon and Brent know so much about lighting, placement of props and the surroundings that every image looked perfect. They have a great eye for what they do. Our wedding day pictures were even better. Our wedding venue was a bit out of the ordinary but Shannon and Brent got super excited during the site visit (yes they took the time to do a site visit) and on the day of our wedding they delivered. Arrived on time, ready with all equipment and captured every moment both obvious and subtle. I can’t say enough about how talented Studio Carre is and how much we enjoyed spending so much time with them. Shannon and Brent at Studio Carre are the best photographers I have ever used. I used Shannon for my maternity shots 2 years prior, and had no doubt that I would make arrangements for her to shoot my wedding in Hawaii! She even squeezed in a boudoir session for me before the ceremony. She is so good at posing you just right to make you look more beautiful than you could ever imagine!! Not only did Brent and Shannon worked together to capture every magical moment during our big day, they made us feel so comfortable. When we got the pictures back, they were better than expected, and not a moment missed! When we shared the pictures with our family, they were so impressed and taken back by emotion...tears even fell from my dad's eyes! So much gratitude to Studio Carre!! Shannon is great - very professional yet friendly & easy-going. Not only did we get great dressing, ceremony & reception shots, but she really took full advantage of the venue's many picturesque spots and we got a great variety of photos as a couple. We worked with Shannon before she created Studio Carre - so cost and things are probably different since she has become independent.
