Incredibly Impressed
I worked with Studio 9 Salon for my wedding hair and makeup, which was recommended by my officiant/planner, Julie. I can see why she recommended them, because they did an amazing job! Although I did not have a wedding party, I have some close friends and family also get their hair and/or makeup done. We had different stylists work with us so that we could finish within our 2-hour appointment slot (we did). Since we had an appointment in the salon, they allowed us to arrive a little early and enjoy some juice and pastries in their room upstairs. I believe I worked with Crystal (my apologies if I am misremembering your name) for my hair and makeup. I did a bridal updo and airbrushed makeup. Crystal was outstanding! I showed her some pictures to reference the type of style I wanted (hair: Bohemian; makeup: natural/romantic), and she did not disappoint. I was so incredibly pleased with both my hair and makeup. The style was exactly what I wanted – even more impressive since I did not do a trial. Thank you for making me feel beautiful on this special day! -

Accommodating, communicative, and skilled
The mobile bus team came to us on the wedding day with Shelby, Christine and Amber aboard. 6 Bridesmaids 2 moms and Grandma walked out looking gorgeous for the day and then some! Before the event Mother of the bride needed to Re-do a practice run with two different stylists. The management was great about it. Tell them what you love and what you don’t, before the event! And don’t be afraid of spray foundation - it works! Our scheduling of photography changed a couple days before the wedding and they were able to move us all up 30 minutes. All that is so valuable when planning your special day. Worth it! -

The Beauty Bus!!
I had the small Mobile Salon we called “The Beauty Bus” come to our house on wedding day. There were 8 of us getting hair and makeup done. I was absolutely thrilled with the quality of work by the 3 stylists! I had Shelby all to myself and she was awesome. My gals ranged in age from 26 to 66 and everyone was super happy with the results. It was such a fun experience. I highly recommend Studio 9 Salon for a great experience and result! -

Easy and Fun!
We had a great time using the wedding bus. My girls loved it and I really enjoyed the professionalism and organization provided by the company! The girls on the bus were fantastic at what they do.

Excellent service from the team that worked on hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids! They were flexible to get us scheduled and we loved having the private room before our appointments. It was great that we were all able to get our hair and makeup done at the same time. Nina was my stylist and she was so friendly and brought my visions to life! It was my first time getting my makeup professionally done and she was great! I will be back for more services in the future. Highly recommend! -

Couldn’t have asked for anything better!
Studio 9 made my special day even more special! I felt pampered to the max and had such a fun relaxing time with my bridal party. They helped scare away those pre wedding jitters and I felt calm as a cucumber and pretty as a princess walking down the isle. They are amazing! -

Absolutely loved the services provided! Made my day feel so special. The entire process of booking and them being so accommodating to what we needed made my day go so smoothly. The make up looked so natural and the girls did an amazing job with making everyone look perfect. The only thing that was frustrating was paying with credit card as they had to call it in which took some time so I recommend to have cash available on the day of. Overall I Definitely would recommend to others! -

Amazing and very fast and effective
The 2 girls on board that did our hair and makeup were outstanding and listened to what I wanted for the girls and myself. They didn't have the right shades for my MIL because she is a POC and felt that they could've done better with her makeup but didn't want to cancel because the bride would have to pay for anyone who didn't follow through with their schedule time and services. Thats the only part I didn't like. She went back to her room, washed off her 55 dollar make up and did it herself. -

Kaja was great to work with. Showed some pictures of what I was looking for and gave her free range. Did a couple of up dos and said we can also mix them together. Price for the wedding pretrial is support from the price of the wedding day. -

Debbie Sent on 06/05/2018Studio 9 Salon rocks!! These guys came out to our sites with the coolest mobile salon and an awesome team of stylist. They were on time (more than I can say for some of our wedding party), professional, fun, creative and quick. They got 13 ladies in and out in about 4 hours. They also feeds us and give us mimosas. They bride was gorgeous and the rest of us did look half bad either. They airbrushed our makeup and it stayed all day. Can't wait to see the professional pictures! Thanks Studio 9 and especially Carley for making Caitlin's special day beautiful!

I rented the large mobile RV for my bridal party to get ready in for our October 2021 wedding. I learned of Studio 9"s RV when I attended the 2020 Wedding Expo at the former Cobo Hall. Their price was beyond reasonable for traveling to Detroit and I secured them via deposit immediately. DON'T WALK, RUN and book ASAP!
They were so understanding when I had to re-schedule my 2020 wedding, due to covid restrictions. They always responded to my emails/questions within a timely manner. The staff even put together a hair & makeup timeline and the owner even coordinated the parking downtown (you do have to pay for parking). All of which, was extremely helpful!
The RV was able to hold myself, my 4 month old daughter, 9 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls and their moms, my mother and mother in law, as well as the stylists. We had ample room to walk around and sit comfortably. The owner provided water, coffee, and pastries. We also brought our own yogurt and mimosa bar and they kindly provided a high-top table for us to setup our "extras" on outside the RV. Most importantly, the RV was very clean and the staff was ahead of schedule, which is super important when you have such a large wedding party.
My only recommendation for the salon, is to invest in a payment system that attaches to a cell phone (where you can swipe a credit card), so that clients can check out/tip in a timely manner. On our day, each bridesmaid had to call the salon's front desk to pay over the phone, which caused long delays.

It was a great option to allow for hair and makeup to be done on-site, without all of the makeup and hairspray residue near the dresses. -

The person I got as a bride was very awesome to talk to but I don’t know if it just me but she didn’t do my eyebrows didn’t contour or put any blush never did my lips. My girls have mixed reviews my MIL didn’t not like the girl she got said she was rude she tried to ask her option and basically told her it your hair you pick. My Flower girls hair did not last very long maybe 1 hour. Just for the price I just felt it could have been better -
