Our wedding that took place on November 14, 2020 was anything than originally planned. Eric along with Fred, Pat and Eddie were part of our original vision prior to dealing with the global pandemic. At a time when everything was stressful, he supported us switching venues and coming up with an intimate ceremony and cocktail hour. As we had several restrictions, guidelines and safety measures in place his team arrived on time, with the highest level of professionalism and maintained all protocols in place. The musical choices were flawless including renditions of “All you need is love” by The Beatles and “Wonderful Tonight” by Eric Clapton for us in a beautiful outdoor ceremony. Having the element of a string quartet will bring tears to each and every guest and bring a level of elegance you could only dream about. The Sterling Stings are by far the best in the business and their level of talent is like no other. I promise from the initial call or email with Eric to the actual event will be a flawless experience with one of the most knowledgeable band leaders in the business and an event everyone will be talking about for years to come. Whether a 300-person wedding or a 30-person outdoor event, The Sterling Strings will deliver each and every time and there is only one choice for a string quartet. We can’t thank them enough for making our wedding day one for the books! -

Sterling Strings was such an incredible addition to our wedding day at The Sanctuary on Roosevelt Island last month! Music is so important to my husband and I (I’m a singer/actor, and he is a composer), and we knew we wanted to have a string quartet as part of the ceremony. We are also huge movie buffs, so we decided that we wanted all of the pre-ceremony music to be famous themes from movies. The Sterling Strings team made us feel so great about our musical selections, and so many guests have told us that guessing the movie theme was one of their favorite parts of the wedding! I still get chills thinking about how beautiful they sounded as I walked down the aisle. If you’re looking for extremely talented musicians to add a bit of romance to the atmosphere, look no further! Thank you again to Eric and the entire Sterling Strings team for making our ceremony so special! -

Stirling Strings made our wedding reception and cocktail hour both elegant and fun as the beautifully performed contemporary hip hop and pop music. Their rendition of “Ocean Eyes” by Billie Eilish was the perfect accompaniment to the bride walking down the aisle. The quartet started our wedding on a perfect note and set the exact tone we desired for the type of music our guests were to experience throughout the night. Their performance truly made our wedding special. -

The most professional and reliable band to utilize for your event. We hired them for our wedding and we were so happy. Our guests loved the music during the ceremony and reception. My wife and I hired the Sterling Strings to play our wedding and couldn’t be happier. Their vast repertoire of both classics and modern songs led to quite the lasting impression on our guests. From the thong song to Beethoven there is something for everyone. While wedding planning we always looked forward to anything to do with the Strings because of how fun they made it. Day of they were so nice to us and all the guests as well, taking my wife’s request to replay a song we had missed while taking photos prior to cocktail hour.
Can’t recommend this quartet enough! -

Sterling Strings ended up being one of the most special parts of our wedding day. We got hitched in Philly but live in NYC, so having a piece of NY with us on the day was lovely, and if you're going to have any piece of NY with you, Sterling Strings is it.
They played for both our ceremony and cocktail hour and not only was the quartet beautiful, energetic, and balanced - they were SO memorable. We are still receiving compliments about how amazing the strings were and what a heartfelt touch they put on the evening. I walked down the aisle with my parents to their wedding song (Can't Help Falling in Love) and exit with the wedding party to one of our favorite songs (Hold on, We're Going Home). The mix of classical, oldies, and contemporary was perfect and it was enjoyed by everyone there.
Working with Eric to plan the songs for the night was wonderful - he is so kind, accommodating, and wants to ensure the music is everything you dreamed of. And it was. -

We decided on Sterling Strings because the group plays together on a regular basis, which sets them apart. We had initially considered hiring a few solo musicians but were concerned with how they would play together. Eric was my main point of contact and was incredibly responsive to all of my questions. He was also very patient, which was needed as it took the groom quite some time to determine what song he wanted to walk down the aisle to. (I think this is mostly because the list of songs they will play is quite extensive!) The group arrived on time and looked great! Our wedding was on one of the hottest days of the year and the Sterling Strings musicians brought blazers so they would look appropriate for the event. Because of the heat, we opted to not go with the blazers, but appreciated the willingness to wear them upon request. Our ceremony start time was delayed, and Eric and team were very accommodating. They did a great job when they played, and I really couldn’t recommend them enough. If you’re local to the NYC area, please consider them to be your ceremony musicians, you will not be disappointed! -

Sterling Strings was one of the first vendors I booked once I secured my venue. Long before I even met my now-husband I told myself if I ever got married, I would be hiring Sterling Strings during our ceremony and cocktail hour. They are SO INCREDIBLY talented and we are so lucky they chose to share their talents with us and our guests on our special day. So many people asked us about them and thought it was such a wonderful part of the day. I would recommend them over and over and over again! -

I initially saw them in the Oculus at WTC and knew I had to have them for our wedding. It's hard to get anyone in NYC to stop, much less in the middle of rush hour and they had people entranced by their sound and arrangements. Their range of music is extensive and they can do just about anything you ask. We hired them to work our ceremony and cocktail hour and they more than delivered. Our guests were awed by them and it was such a beautiful way to start our wedding before kicking off the party. We would book them again in a heartbeat!!! -

Best Decision!
I found Sterling Strings through one of the online wedding sites. Prior to booking, I watched every video I could find of them performing. After booking, I re watched every video because I was so excited and could not wait to see them in person. We initially booked SS to provide music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Appx one week before the wedding we decided to add a violinist to play during dinner. Our guests absolutely loved the music. Eric was so easy to work with. Days leading up to the wedding we scheduled a call to go over some ideas I had for my entrance song. When I called, the band had just finished rehearsal. As we talked about what I wanted, Eric put me on speaker and the band played a sample of what we talked about to make sure it was what I wanted. This was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We look forward to working with them again in the future. -

I don't even know where to start. I found out about Sterling Strings when my friend booked them for her wedding. As soon as I heard them play I knew I wanted them to play at my wedding. Two years later I got married and had them for my ceremony and cocktail hour. They are such amazing talented musicians. Their music is so beautiful and they play with such grace!!! I received so many compliments from guests at our wedding. They were easy to work with, responsive, and flexible. Look no further and book them. I wish I had another function so I could book them again!! -

Sterling Strings was an absolute hit at our wedding! We've had multiple guests comment post-wedding about how much they loved the quartet and how talented they were. Eric was super easy to work with and was very responsive, even going out of his way to meet us at a local coffee shop before we agreed to move forward (we wanted face time with our vendors to ensure we connected). Leading up to the wedding, we selected a variety of songs that we wanted and they killed it the day-of. My husband and I worked with Sterling Strings for our wedding on May 25th and can honestly say that the music was one of the highlights of the event! Our friends and family are still talking about how amazing the music was! Eric worked with us every step of the way and was so involved and patient. He was also able to work with us making several of our song choices happen even with a duet when they are usually performed by a quartet. Days before the wedding he even helped me arrange for a surprise arrangement to accompany a reading I was surprising my husband at the ceremony. We hands down 1000% recommend going with Sterling Strings!!! -

If you want something truly special for your wedding, book Sterling Strings! I first found out about them as a guest at my friend’s wedding. They played during the cocktail hour and as a guest, they were my favorite part of the whole wedding. They started with classical music so I thought they were your typical wedding quartet, but then they started playing modern songs and that was a game changer. It was so special and unique that I had to book them for my own wedding. They were responsive throughout the whole wedding planning process and arrived early for my ceremony. I requested a very complicated and special song for my walk down the aisle and they nailed it. At cocktail hour, my guests raved about their performance and loved every minute of it. If you want your wedding to feel modern, fun and personal - book Sterling Strings. You won’t regret it. -

Sterling Strings were such a hit at our wedding! They played at our ceremony and cocktail hour and our guests absolutely loved them! We had a DJ for the reception portion but adding a string quartet for the ceremony was a really special touch that we are so glad we invested in.
Eric was very professional and prompt with his communication which put us at ease for the big day. Definitely recommend these guys! -

We hired Sterling Strings for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and folks are still talking about them! They were so easy to work with, professional, and their talent is unmatched. Upon our request, they played more traditional music during the ceremony and switched over to contemporary music for the cocktail hour. It was a hit with us and our guests. If you book them for your event, you will not regret it. You'll likely be like us and will be looking for other events to hire them for. -

Eric and the rest of SS were INCREDIBLE for my recent wedding in Queens on July 4th weekend. They communicated with me quickly and pleasantly at all times leading up to, during, and after the event. I saw them perform in the subway on my morning commute and knew I had to have them for my wedding - and they did not disappoint! My guests were in awe and all have let me know it was a truly unique addition to my cocktail hour. I would totally recommend them without a doubt in my mind. -

I spoke to my then fiance about adding them into our budget and showed him their instagram and he was all in. My wedding was July 6, 2018 and that is a busy holiday weekend and I hoped that they were not already booked. Luckily, Eric was very helpful and very responsive and we were able to have every booked very quickly. They were amazing and I am so glad to have had them at the wedding. Definitely worth every single penny. Amazingly talented musicians that created the perfect ambiance for my dream wedding. -

They will give you a list of their songs and you can chose what you want to hear. Their list is very extensive and has everything you can imagine. I would highly recommend them. What we love the most is when we run into them in the subway playing. We love telling our guest we found them playing in the subway together :). If you want a great string quartet... hire sterling strings. Especially if you want a hip hop string quartet. We had them play all of the lights as our guest entered into the main ballroom which was entirely lit by candles. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how perfect that was. -

My husband and I feel like their music and performance really helped to take our ceremony and cocktail hour to the next level. Also, they played the music for our first dance and that was so special. My family is from Argentina so we had learned a tango for our first dance. Sterling Strings played "Por Una Cabeza" by our request, perfectly, and were a part of this really unforgettable moment with us dancing together for the first time as a married couple. Their service was first class all around. Great communication as we planned. They arrived early on the day of, and even played outside until we figured out that we had to move everything inside because of unexpectedly windy, cold weather. Also, since my family loved their tango playing so much Eric suggested playing a few other tango songs that they had in their repertoire during our cocktail hour and my family was fascinated! If you're looking for a professional, polished string quartet, I highly recommend working with them! -

I know nothing about string quartets - I just know it sounds good (lol). I went to their website and I was blown away - I also saw clips on their Instagram page. One day I had the pleasure of bumping into them in the subway soon after I hired them. They are AMAZING! I get goosebumps just writing this review because I can remember hearing them play right before I walked down the aisle - all of those months envisioning me walking down the aisle with a string quartet playing came to life thanks to them.
The communication was smooth with Eric, and he was very responsive. At the last minute (about 3 days prior I believe), we decided to hire them for our cocktail hour as well - we really wanted to impress our guests, and I felt like only having them during the ceremony just wasn't enough. They actually begin to play pre-ceremony, about 30 minutes before the ceremony as guests are filling into their seats, but that's still not enough. I wanted guests to hear how amazing they sounded! We gave them a few songs (pop, R&B, hip-hop) and told them to fill in the rest with whatever they wanted to. I wasn't about to hear them during the entire cocktail hour since my husband and I decided to use that time for us, but we did sneak into the cocktail hour for 5 minutes and I managed to hear them playing "Flashing Lights" by Kanye West. WOW. I hope one of our guests caught that on video.
I hope to have another event where I can hire them. If you want to have the best live musicians ever, PLEASE hire these guys! I would do it again without hesitation!!! -

We loved their modern music and their wide range of song choices, they were also very reasonable and offered a variety of arrangements- starting from two musicians. On the day they were prompt and very professional. Their music added so much to the ambiance of the event. Thank you!

The Sterling Strings are absolutely amazing. They have such a large library of songs to choose from, from Classic to Modern songs. Eric and his crew were so professional. Eric was very responsive and we worked together to figure out a perfect budget and timing for the event. They absolutely understood and heard what I wanted to do with the music and beautifully executed it. A month before the wedding I asked for a popular song and Eric was able to make it happen!
I received so many compliments from the guests at the wedding. Sterling Strings was the perfect addition to our event. Our only regret is that the cocktail hour wasn’t longer so I could hear them perform more. -
