    Life savers!

    The Sterling Nation saved my wedding! My previous venue abruptly closed with no warning. Sterling heard about this and offered to help. They were fast and extremely accommodating. They matched everything I had already planned and made the process seamless! They are renovating and it looks amazing! You definitely need to book your wedding here, you won’t be disappointed.

    Look No Further!

    We are beyond happy with our decision to hold our wedding at Sterling National Country Club. Georgiana Mathieu guided us effortlessly through the planning process.

    While we had intended and preferred to have an outdoor ceremony, the weather was a bit too chilly, and we chose to move the ceremony indoors. The ballroom was set up and decorated beautifully. Georgiana's talent, vision, and attention to detail is unmatched.

    The grounds are also beautiful and well maintained. The venue and grounds are picturesque as a whole, and there are also so many unique areas to take pictures along the course.

    We were able to choose from numerous appetizers, main courses and sides, and desserts, and all of the selections were a hit with our guests.

    We would highly recommend holding your wedding or next event at Sterling National Country Club - we would not have changed one thing. Thank you so much for all you did to make our day so special, Georgiana! We are forever grateful!

    Sterling Country Club is the very definition of class and beauty when looking for a venue. The outdoor grounds are well kept and the golf players were respectful of our ceremony and our guests which we appreciated very much. It is absolutely breathtaking and the bridal suite/Windsor room provided to us was so beautiful that it exceeded my expectations. The food and drinks were amazing and the waitstaff at Sterling were so polite and helpful that it made our evening run so smoothly. I cannot begin to describe how perfect our wedding day was here at Sterling National Country Club and the fact is that was all thanks to our coordinator, Georgiana Mathieu. She was so instrumental in making sure our vision for our wedding day was a reality and we are forever grateful for the guidance and attention to detail that she gave us. Georgiana not only made us feel like family, she truly treated us like family every step of the planning process and went above and beyond in communicating with my husband and I about any questions or concerns that we had. This is a quality that you rarely find in wedding coordinators at country clubs and Georgiana is truly the very best person you could ask for. She took our vision and used it to make our wedding day so special, so memorable and just absolutely and completely perfect. There is no better place to begin your happily ever after than here at Sterling National Country Club.

    From the moment we met our host Laura Blessington, we were hooked ! Laura's professionalism and attention to detail were beyond reproach. Laura guided through the entire process from start to finish and held our hand where needed, yet, fulfilled all our wishes and unusual requests when necessary. The Ballroom was immaculate, the food was outstanding, and the prices were very reasonable. I Strongly recommend The Sterling National Country Club for not only weddings, but any social event where Professionalism and attention to detail are a must !

    Even with multiple changes in their events coordinator at that time, the ball was never dropped and the day went perfectly!

    The SNCC was a beautiful place for
    Our reception. Everyone was amazing and did everything they could to make our special day extra special! Everything went smooth and there where some beautiful spots for pictures!
    We also used "All That Music And Events" for our UpLighting! It came out beautiful, even better than I thought and for a great price!

    We had the most amazing experience at Sterling National CC. When we first went to look into venues, Sterling just happened to be the first place we checked out. We had such a great first impression, that no other venue ended up comparing. We decided on Sterling for several reasons. Its beautiful, the reception room is perfect size, with a simple elegance, with gorgeous chairs ! We got married onsite, and fortunately were able to have our wedding outside with the gorgeous fall foliage, hilly golf course- made for spectacular pictures, the colors were so vibrant. One of the big reasons other than they are very affordable- very reasonably priced- was that they have ONE wedding a day-- which is SOO hard to find this. So you can enjoy having the flexibility on times/and how long you want your day to last, and the staff can focus on your wedding the day before and day of and ONLY your wedding. I think this is one of the main reasons our wedding turned out as perfect as it did. Our wedding coordinator Ally is AMAZING. She is super nice and funny, and professional and knowledgeable about the wedding industry and can help you with All of your questions. We had so much fun with her and I just trusted her on everything. I really wasn't stressed out or concerned about how everything would End up.. because I know she and her staff were in charge. They are all very organized, got back to me right away when I needed them.
    The actual wedding was flawless ( just too short.. I recommend you add an extra hour if u like to dance) we didnt have hardly anytime to dance after visiting and taking pictures with Every family member. ) Anyways- I had several special requests related to some difficult family dynamics- making Ally's job a little more challenging because of the extra work she had to do. I cannot say enough. If you want to enjoy this whole wedding experience go with Sterling. It is perfect ! I am absolutely grateful to all of them for making our dreams become a reality ! !! !

    I cannot say enough good things about my wedding at Sterling National Country Club! I wanted the ceremony outside, but the day was raining on and off. There was a small window of time when Allie (the best coordinator) told us we could try to have the ceremony outside. She was actually on her hands and knees trying to get everything perfect and no one even noticed what was going on. The ceremony was lovely outside, we got a few pictures in and then the skies opened...perfect timing. The cocktail and reception was wonderful. The food was delicious, the ballroom beautiful. It was everything I could have ever hoped for. I had my dream wedding, thanks to Allie and all the people who worked with her!

    Sterling National Country Club is a beautiful place for a wedding. Jeff and Aly were fantastic to work with, and they made our wedding dreams into a reality. The venue itself is gorgeous; we got married on the golf greens in front of the gazebo and then came inside into the beautiful ballroom for the reception. The food is outstanding and the portion sizes are huge. The prices make it very affordable, but the staff is what really makes Sterling stand out from other country clubs. Jeff and Aly work their magic to ensure your event goes flawless, and you are treated more like a friend than just another customer. We are so happy we close Sterling and had the opportunity to work with Jeff and Aly.

    We loved having our wedding at SNCC in October 2016. Laura, the events coordinator was the best! She is genuine, friendly and gives you an honest opinion when you ask for feedback. Jeff, the GM is very knowledgeable and professional. We would recommend anyone to have their wedding at their beautiful venue.

    I had looked at multiple locations before going to SNCC, and had been disapointed by each one(They were ugly, depressing, or too expensive for our 15,000$ budget). SNCC at first look is a beautiful location, with an incredibly green golf course, and inside is even more stunning. The ballroom is a fantastic space, comfortable for about 150 (which is what I had, everyone was very happy). Even better than the scenery was the staff. Aletha (in charge of events) is incredible. Everything ran so smoothly, everybody got their food at the same time, it was warm and incredibly delicious (people are still talking about the salmon, months later). They took into account everything I wanted, and did everything I asked them to do, and helped me with any questions I had. I am extrememly happy with SNCC and would recommend them to anyone (which I have).

    We had an excellent experience overall at Sterling National Country Club. Jeff, the GM, was our main point of contact throughout planning and he was gracious, accommodating, organized, and responsive. Some of the selling points for us in booking SNCC were: the bridal suite, which not every venue has; the chairs, which are very pretty and do not need to be covered; the separate cocktail area from the dining/main reception space; the menu, which was delicious; and the price point which is very reasonable. The only down-side to the process of planning with SNCC was that, throughout the 15 or so months after we booked our wedding there, they went through three event managers. This was frustrating to say the least since I spent a fair amount of time communicating and planning with each of these individual staff members and felt that I had to start all over each time they hired a new planner. This is why I have marked them down on responsiveness because, although Jeff was very responsive, the event staff would disappear without warning and my emails would go unanswered for a space of time. At the time of our wedding, there was no one in that particular position. In spite of that concern, our wedding day could not have been more PERFECT. Jeff was ever-present throughout the day and night and one of his managers (I believe), Dawn, was also very helpful throughout the whole weekend. Our guests raved about the food and service and everything ran seamlessly. Jeff also communicated with the vendors so efficiently that the timeline for the event was perfect. In addition, the grounds are stunning and which helped to make our photos gorgeous. Set-up was executed exactly as I had asked and there was nothing I would have changed (this is coming from an extremely attention-oriented bride!). Our family and friends are still gushing with positive feedback, many of whom said it was one of the best weddings they have ever attended. I would highly recommend SNCC for a wedding or event.

    The grounds are beautiful, we loved the reception ballroom, and the staff was wonderful and attentive to our guests' needs. We got a lot of compliments about the food and view from the reception room as well.

    I loved this venue - the onlt disadvantage is at the time they had high turnover of the wedding coordinator and I found out when I called to check on the status of an email I sent. Once the wedding day rolled around, I couldn't have been more pleased with the professionalism and kindness of all involved

    Had my wedding here on august 18th. Let me start with Georgianna, she was amazing! Helped a lot and was there for us in every single detail. When she was gone for some time, Andrea stepped in and she was helpful as well.

    When the actual wedding day happened- not everything they promised and said will do happened, so make sure you have a signed paper of everything they say and you want to be done. Most of their talk doesn’t happen on the wedding day.

    We had chicken piccata for our main plate, when we did the tasting it was a perfect. On the wedding day, the chicken they served was a tasteless-boiled chicken filled with cheese on top to kill the taste and not a single taste of lemon! It was terrible. Most of the people didn’t eat it- including me and my husband!

    Then the food they served on the tables- it was removed before people touched it! Every time someone gets up to dance and come back to eat- their food is gone! Tables were cleaned too fast with plates that were full with food.

    We paid for 6 servers- yet only 5 were seen.

    When dinner was served- tables of 10 people had only 3 or 4 plates until my maid of honor got up and told them to do better service and put food on full table.

    When it came time to cut the cake, we kept waiting for the cutting knife, plates, and champagne to come for over 10 minutes. While everyone was ready, they were not! Service is not the best! Sad and disappointing. Vendors remained without meals until again, the maid of honor went to grab their food herself.

    Many of the things that were talked about before the wedding did not happen on the wedding day- if I could go back in time I would choose another venue that will do the things they said they would and would not mess up the dinner plate and the cake cutting moment. They should really offer a refund for the main meal they messed up, literally 80% of the people did not touch the chicken!

    I had my bridal shower at this venue and the only real positive thing I have to say, is that the grounds were gorgeous. We selected this venue because the prices were reasonable and they were willing to work with us. At first, they were also quite responsive. After all the initial details were agreed upon I was told to reach out to a certain contact from here forward. I tried, twice, and went two weeks with out a response. I then contacted the gentleman we had originally worked with and waited an additional week. After three weeks of messages going unanswered, I sent a rather....rude email and low and behold, I then got a response. The day of the shower, the set up was lovely, until you looked down. Strewn all over the floor were bottle caps, guitar picks, cracker crumbs, candy wrappers, etc. When my mother mentioned it to a member of the waitstaff, they didn't grab a vacuum, but went around and picked up what they could with their hands. Unacceptable. After attempting to greet many of the guests, I finally had an opportunity to sit down and was delighted to see a glass of water. Until I saw two separate lip stick marks on my glass. Again, unacceptable. Our salads were then supposed to be served, the woman running the function wasn't aware of this and as a result there was a delay so they could get the salads onto individual plates. We were supposed to have rolls with the buffet, there were none. The chicken was dry and the mixed vegetables were bland. Coffee and tea were supposed to be served with dessert, there wasn't any. Sterling National Country Club may be beautiful on the outside but they have a lot of work to do on the inside.

    Traumatizing Experience

    I got married at the SNCC 10/2021. My wedding was supposed to be 9/2020 but got rescheduled due to Covid. I originally booked this venue because the pricing was good and I really loved the wedding coordinator. After my wedding got rescheduled, my coordinator had reached out to me to let me know she will be leaving because she got a new job. Then the general manager had left after her as well. The new manager, Matt and the new wedding coordinator, Andrea…. Were AWFUL. There are not enough words to say to explain how much I regretted booking this venue…. Andrea is seriously the most insensitive and condescending person I have ever met. Matt brushes off your concerns. We had reached out to him regarding contradicting things Andrea had said to us because he is her boss… but then he told us to talk to Andrea about it…. He honestly just doesn’t care. Andrea had even stated on the phone that there is no point in me complaining to cooperate because they don’t care either.

    I had the worst planning experience possible with them both and to make it even better… Andrea is constantly reminding you she has a full time teaching job and she does this on the side so we need to work around her schedule which seemed to only be between 3pm-6pm….. she constantly spoke to my husband and I like we were one of her students which was extremely disrespectful.

    Andrea and Matt DO NOT care about you unless you are a member of the club. They speak to you as if you are “less than” because of it….

    We went to SNCC for a meeting and her husband stood in the open doorway of her office waiting for us to finish and made me and my husband extremely uncomfortable.

    I have met 2 other brides that got married around the same time as me at the SNCC and they both stated that they had an AWFUL experience with Andrea as well.

    After going back and forth MULTIPLE times with quotes for the day she neglected to mention to me that I was $2000 short on my minimum until 2 WEEKS BEFORE MY WEDDING. (We spent weeks trying to change my menu due to pricing changes and she never once mentioned to me that I was this far off and she even knew I had to contact all my guests to change the meals because of the increase… if she told me I was this short I would have never had to do this.)

    Once we figured this all out and got up to my minimum she emailed me the quote and stated she needed to have this signed off by cooperate before we could give her the bank check… she approved it and said corporate did as well…. My husband brought the bank check to her and she said we gave her the wrong amount and told my husband to go to the ATM and get her an extra $100…. We once again had to argue with her because it was a mistake on her end and she had the audacity to tell my husband that she wasn’t the one who made the mistake but because he wouldn’t pay the $100, it would be taken out of her paycheck?? Not our problem.


    Moving on…

    The day of my wedding, Andrea was trying to start my ceremony before my shuttle even arrived and my step father had to tell her to stop. My bridal party brought a few concerns to her before the ceremony started and she very rudely told my bridal party to “stop making up problems that don’t exist” (my MOH thought my “in loving memory” sign had fallen on the chair and asked her to check it).
    Andrea told me she was going to fix my veil as I was walking down the isle and she had bunched it in a ball and dropped it on my train. One of my guests in the back row fixed my dress for me…. My photographer asked Andrea why she did that and she lied saying “I told her to stop and she didn’t so that’s not my problem”. My photographer was shocked at the way she was behaving.

    Also, our rehearsal was a joke. We barely even rehearsed and she was too busy having a conversation with my DJ to even pay attention to us. Then she had to go and wouldn’t let us practice a second time.

    MULTIPLE guests at my wedding (who had no idea how many problems we have had with her) came up to me asking who “that woman” was and was asking what her problem was and why she was being so rude to everyone…. She was rude to my GUESTS.

    Andrea left my wedding reception half way through and told one of the servers to make sure nothing happened while she was gone….

    ALL apps were COLD, salads were soggy, soup was cold. Meals were NOTHING like tasting… she said she would hold apps aside for us while we were taking photos and I didn’t get anything until I was walking back into the venue. I didn’t even get to try all of the apps I purchased because she said they ran out….. I asked for them to be set aside for my husband and I… which she said she would do and she didn’t.

    I did a dessert station and had SPECIFICALLY stated I DID NOT want cupcakes…. There were cupcakes everywhere… which I had to pay for. And just so this is noted, everything was put out so late and it got thrown away before the wedding was even over. Nobody even knew I had a dessert station…

    We kept getting in trouble for taking photos on the “green” but it was the only flat surface on the whole venue to take portraits.

    Andrea had told me that her job was to keep me stress free the day of the wedding and to not bring problems to me but instead to bring them to my MOH….. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. ANYYTHINGGG happened she was coming up to me which was obviously going to stress me out! She literally came up to me to complain that my cake topped was not centered on my cake and made it seem like my cake decorator RUINED my cake. (When I finally saw it, it looked beautiful and had no idea what she was talking about). She pulled me aside when I was taking photos with my husband to tell me that my mother caught the bartender using the wrong alcohol for her drink but wanted to assure me that the issue was fixed…. WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ME!?

    I seriously have a LIST of problems I have had with this venue and it really did make me so sad. I think this venue is BEAUTIFUL. I had the highest of hopes and I was so excited to plan my wedding… this experience was so unfortunate and I wish it was different.

    I think after all of this negativity I need to post SOME positives….

    The bartenders were AMAZING. Seriously they were GREAT!

    Servers were AWESOME! Even one of the serves mentioned to me that all of the brides were having problems with Andrea.


    Sooo the moral of the story is, I would NEVER recommend this venue to ANYONE. If I had known all of this from the beginning I would never have booked the Sterling national country club. I am writing this huge review to warn you to stay away. Also, I am keeping out MANY details because this review would be just way too long.

    I will not reccomend this venue to anyone!! I had my wedding here 4/21/18. I am very disappointed, upset and disgusted with this place. Georgiana made us all these promises and never fell through with anything for our wedding. She is NOT professional and very unorganized. She is an alcoholic and drinks on the job. Brian the general manager is an asshole and was very rude. They rushed us our whole wedding day. They both should not be working for this company. The waitstaff was all new and has no clue what they were doing. They ran out of food for my guests. They broke my cake knife in the dishwasher and threw away my cake topper. I can’t belive they have such awful people working there. I will NOT reccomend this place to anyone!!!!! If anyone knows Corporates office number please let me know. DO NOT have your wedding here!!!
