We got married at a family home — with 250 guests! Working with Stephen Crawford Booth was truly one of the highlights of the entire experience. From start to finish, he made us feel comfortable, excited, and completely taken care of.
We were drawn to his work because of how classy and timeless it is — we’re both allergic to cheesy wedding photos — and his images capture the day in such an authentic, organic way. I (the bride) was nervous about feeling overly posed, but Stephen made it feel like we were just hanging out with a friend who happened to have a camera.
His communication before and during the wedding was clear, kind, and incredibly thoughtful — we always knew what to expect and never felt unsure of what was needed. It’s obvious he’s refined his process with so much care, and it makes the whole experience seamless.
When we finally got our photos back, we were over the moon. They completely captured the feeling of the day — every laugh, every tear, every tiny in-between moment. Every single guest and family member is represented beautifully. Our main advice to any couple planning their wedding: hire Stephen Crawford Booth. Now we just need to find an excuse to work with him again. -

Stephen was such a joy to work with! I am still poring over our wedding sneak peek photos and am blown away. Stephen's warm, easy going and understood my vision for the wedding photography immediately. I felt confident after our first talk that he was going to bring originality and a fresh vision to capture our day. There are a lot of choices out there and we took a minute to find the best fit with Stephen. I was worried that it would feel awkward and challenging to continuously pose with my partner, but this anxiety was soothed within the first few minutes of our engagement shoot. Stephen guided us through a wonderful experience, gave encouraging feedback and found unique poses to showcase our relationship flawlessly. You can tell he's not only experienced but passionate about his work.
The wedding day photography exceeded my expectations. Stephen and his second shooter were very comfortable to work with! They kept the atmosphere fun and inviting while blending into the background at times so they could capture the organic moments. His attention to detail, guidance and editing really stand out. You will not be disappointed to work with him! I'm ecstatic about our photos and experience. -

I wanted to make my destination surprise engagement special and did not know who to trust. I thought Stephen was very professional, had a great resume with prior customers, and I am so happy I booked Stephen.
• How was your wedding or event photography as it unfolded during your wedding/event, and what you experience reliving the day when looking through your images? Stephen did such an amazing job! He captured over 500 images and captured every special moment from the scenery, close friends and her mom in attendance, my fiancé’s reaction, or happy celebratory moment, the flowers, and spent quality time capturing the engagement pictures throughout the private estate.
• What [challenge/problem] didn’t happen/what worried you or gave you anxiety about taking photos? No anxiety at all in taking photos. Stephen made us both feel calm and enjoy our moment. He also gave us great tips to capture the moment throughout different photos on the property.

My name Meagan, and Stephen photographed our Illinois wedding. When looking through my wedding photos I was completely blown away by the attention to detail, and how effortlessly natural and beautiful the moments were captured. Stephen has an incredible eye for detail, a stunning and impressive portfolio, and years of experience that lead me to know he was the perfect choice for my wedding photographer!
I love natural, bright, and timeless photos, and I originally struggled to find a photographer who fit that style and delivered beautiful photographs that weren’t overly edited. Stephen completely wiped away my worried when I saw his work, and he delivered exactly what I wanted and beyond in our beautiful photos! Having a photographer who understood my vision and so beautifully brought it to life took so much stress off of me as a bride.
From the moment Stephen started on the day of my wedding, he was calm, knowledgeable, and so reassuring. His directions were clear and easy, and made you feel automatically natural and relaxed in front of his lense. I felt so relaxed and at ease as he explained every step and continuously made sure he was doing exactly what I requested.
I originally felt a bit nervous about the lighting situations, as well as some of the general aesthetics of the environments, but Stephen blew me away with how he made every single photo in every environment absolutely perfect!
My husband and I could not stop talking about how wonderful Stephen was to work with and how much we will treasure the moments he captured. I have truly never seen more beautiful wedding photos, and I would recommend Stephen to anyone for any kind of photography needs. Hiring Stephen was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day! He is so talented, and captured every moment beautifully. We are obsessed with the photographs and now have memories that we will cherish forever.
We did our initial engagement photos with Stephen and really enjoyed working with him, so we booked for our wedding. He was professional and thoughtful in the lead-up the wedding, making us feel special and took the time to understand our style and preferences.
On the day of the wedding, Stephen and his second shooter were a joy to work with. They blended into the background, capturing candid moments and genuine emotions without ever feeling intrusive. During the formal portraits, they provided gentle guidance to ensure everyone looked their best while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable. We have a large family (4 sets of parents between the two of us with multiple half siblings on both sides) and they were patient going through our shot list.
The turnaround time for our photos was incredibly quick, (we were shocked with turning around the full gallery so quickly!!) and the quality exceeded our expectations. Each image was beautifully edited and has a timeless and classic feel. We are so excited to share more with family and friends.
