Hiring Stephanie was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! It was such a pleasure to work with her from our very first conversation right up to the wedding day. She was always great at communicating, which made the whole process feel easy and stress-free.
What really blew us away was her talent and dedication. About a week before the wedding, we made a last-minute request for a special song, and she learned it and played it absolutely perfectly. It was such a beautiful moment. All night long, our guests kept telling us how amazing she was, and we were so impressed by the wide range of music she could play.

Custom playlist - flawless execution!

Excellent musician, flexible and easy to work with
Stephanie was our violinist for our fall 2024 wedding ceremony and cocktail hour in Shenandoah National Park. She is experienced and professional, and took on two new songs not in her portfolio, including Test Drive (How to Train Your Dragon). I've worked with a lot of musicians in my prior professional life and am happy to report that she is a lot more organized than many I've worked with (which is to say, she is quite organized). We would both recommend her without hesitation for whatever event you're thinking of hiring her for.

An amazing talent
Stephanie is a phenomenal violinist. She really helped set the tone for our wedding. She is so elegant and played beautifully. Our guests were blown away by her talent beginning with the pre-ceremony music through the cocktail hour.
Stephanie has a great catalog of music and a willingness to learn more, if needed. She is very responsive and will work with your craft your vision for the event.
We had a small technical issue with the officiant’s microphone during the ceremony. Stephanie immediately resolved the issue and we didn’t think twice about it.
Nonetheless, Stephanie sent us a refund for a portion of the fee due to the issue. She definitely did not have to do that but we appreciated her professionalism and this is a testament to how she conducts her business
We look forward to being able to work with Stephanie again in the future. She is truly an amazing talent.

An event highlight!
I booked Stephanie early May for a June 16th wedding. She was extremely responsive and overall booking process was pretty seamless. On the day of the event she arrived an hour before her scheduled time dressed very nicely in the event color palette. Stephanie played during the ceremony and cocktail hour. As an added touch she played a violin the lit up (people are still talking about it days later). Our guests were very impressed, a couple of the guests have asked for her contact information. Bride and groom were very pleased as well. I am so glad that we decided to add a violinist to our event, it was a touch that definitely helped elevate the event.
I would definitely recommend Stephanie. She is not only professional, and easy to work with, but personable, and a very talented violinist.

We worked with Singers & Strings to perform for our wedding ceremony. Stephanie was incredibly responsive and flexible. She worked with us during our early conversations to create a playlist that captured the vibe we wanted for our outdoor autumn themed ceremony. She even helped address some elements we didn’t really think of (i.e., acoustic vs. electric violin, backing track or no backing track), but happy to have included.
Christine was the musician the day of, and she was prompt, professional, and her performance was exactly what we were looking for. Most importantly, our ceremony started later because of a few delays, but Christine still performed well to keep our guests calm and happy. My party rose to her occasion!
Stephanie made my party an event. She was prompt and professional. She had an extensive song list for me to choose from and worked with me to personalize a play list for my party. She was entertainment for my guess, but didn't steal the show. Perfect balance of energy and reserve.

After giving her our picks for ceremony music she came up with the PERFECT cocktail hour playlist. She emailed me the picks ahead of time and I didn't have to make a single change. She was a huge hit amongst our guests with multiple asking where we found her and if she could stay even longer! Highly recommend her for any event. She instantly makes anything classier. I found Stephanie through an online search, and was pleasantly surprised when I started working with her. She was always quick to respond, is very personable and is pretty much able to play any song on the violin that you ask her to! My spouse and I wanted music to that would be true to us, and what seemed like would be difficult song choices weren't even an issue for Stephanie. Our ceremony was perfect! Book with Stephanie! She expertly performed instrumental renditions of a variety of love and Disney songs that set the atmosphere for our wedding ceremony. Our guests raved about her performance. I’m a medical student and I hired Stephanie to play the violin for my piece in an annual talent show put on by the medical students. Prior to the show, I expressed to Stephanie that I would need a rehearsal with her (as it can be very difficult to dance to live music), and she was very gracious in working around both my busy schedule and her many bookings to accommodate this request. On the night of the show, I was very anxious and there was a lot going on around us. Stephanie helped calm me down so that I would be in the right headspace to perform, which went beyond her job description and really just speaks to the kind of person that she is. Stephanie’s violin playing really made my piece, and it was such a major hit that it completely stole the show!!
If I am ever presented with the opportunity to work with Stephanie again, I will certainly jump at the chance. In essence, please choose Stephanie, not only because she is a SPECTACULAR musician, but also because she is a very down to earth, kind, and decent human being that you would simply be fortunate just to know.

For our backyard wedding, we had Christine from Singers and Strings perform for our ceremony and cocktail hour (while we also took photographs). She was early to set up, played our requested and other songs beautifully, and there weren't any issues (which is especially a relief when you are the bride like I was!) With respect to finding a violinist, I worked with the owner of the company Stephanie who was responsive and had a great attitude. You may find that some event vendors (not just musicians) are not responsive or are not enjoyable to work with but she was great and I am very appreciative of that. Highly recommend Singers and Strings!

From start to finish Stephanie was professional, responsive, kind and of course talented. Please check out her music. We listened to her play via her website, and we immediately knew we had to book her for our wedding. The perfect addition to our wedding day
Stephanie was fantastic! Having her play for our ceremony and cocktail hour was the best decision ever. Our guests all commented on how nice it was having live music, especially during cocktail hour as we were taking photos. We were unfortunately caught up in the covid postponements, but Stephanie was incredibly understanding and flexible and was able to shift our contract to our new date. Even when we changed things around again and moved our ceremony start time, she was very accommodating. She took our song requests for the ceremony (which weren't all traditional wedding songs) and made them sound beautiful. I met Stephanie during a bridal Expo event in DC. Although she was not personally available for my wedding date, she recommended another professional from her company. Christine did an excellent job. I booked Stephanie for my wedding after my previous violinist, who I had booked 7 months in advance, flaked on me 3 weeks before my wedding.
All things happen for a reason, though, because Stephanie was great! She was punctual, professional, and flexible. And talented!!! Stephanie did an amazing job learning the songs we wished to include in our wedding ceremony, and a great job performing them at our wedding. She went out of her way to learn several popular songs and traditional Baptist hymns that we requested, and performed them all very well. The hymns she performed added a very classy touch to our special day, and the groomsmen all loved coming down the aisle to the “Top Gun Anthem!” She drove from Northern Virginia/DC area to our wedding venue in Richmond, and could not have been more wonderful about the extra travel. Then once the doors opened and she started playing A Thousand Years as I walked down the aisle towards my groom, it was all I could do not to break down crying.
