    Get married in Maine so Stephanie can be your officiant!

    If we could get married again, we'd do it in Bath with Stephanie because she was great! Stephanie was responsive and efficient, and what we liked most was that she got to the heart of what marriage means in our short interview with her before the ceremony. Stephanie is someone who understands love and companionship and is thus the ideal celebrant to ensure your vows hold true for the decades to come. She made the registration process feel very easy and enjoyable.

    We loved having Stephanie officiate our elopement! She was so helpful throughout the whole process, providing great material to help build our ceremony and answering any questions that we had along the way. The day of, she was flexible with our plans and helped us choose a great spot for the ceremony. We love the ceremony that she helped us create and she was a wonderful person to have stand beside us! We highly recommend Stephanie - couldn't have been happier with our choice.

    Stephanie was so great to work with. She was quick to respond to any questions we had. She was very organized and had many options to choose from so that we could compile our own wedding ceremony that fit our personalities. She was also great with getting us (procrastinators) to stay on top of things! She has so much experience and advice to help make your day special. She did a wonderful job and everything went seamless on our wedding day. I highly recommend Stephanie to help make your big day complete and worry free.

    Stephanie did an exceptional job officiating our wedding ceremony in October '15. From the minute we were in touch, I was amazed at how responsive she was. She provided us with detailed information on how to obtain our marriage licenses, sent us a very long email of examples of religious and non-religious ceremony material for us to choose from, created ceremony programs for our guests, and was in constant contact with us while drafting and re-drafting our final ceremony. After all is said and done, I can safely say that she REALLY knows what she is doing and is excellent at her job. In comparison, her services are also very reasonable priced with travel fees included. I would recommend her services to anyone in need of a well-organized, warm & kind person to conduct a wedding ceremony. Thank you so much, Stephanie!!

    Stephanie was an absolute pleasure to have as the officiant for our wedding this past weekend at Grey Havens Inn. My husband and I are from Ohio, but wanted our wedding to be held in Maine. Because so, Stephanie and I were in contact over email and phone for months leading up. Even from afar, her embracement of us as couple was not only uplifting, but gave such ease to the nerves that come with planning a wedding ceremony. Immediately upon meeting her at City Hall for our marriage license the day before our wedding, Stephanie had us laughing and smiling. Her personality is warm and loving. The exact persona of someone you would want to marry your partner and you. And because so, Stephanie made the ceremony much more than recited words out-loud and our guests as well as our wedding party loved her playful demeanor.

    What started out as a simple cival ceremony turned into something personal and much more meaningful than I thought possible thanks to Stephanie. Her thoughtful interview of us came back to us in a ceremony that touched our hearts in a way we will always remember.

    Stephanie was a joy, and made our special day even more special. She was very responsive, easy to work with, had lovely ideas for our ceremony and was totally receptive to the ideas we had as well. Stephanie provided our witnesses, who were kind enough to take pictures for us as well. We found Stephanie to be a kind, warm and lovely person - our ceremony was just perfect!

    Stephanie was perfect for us! We wanted a double wedding with friends, who wanted some things different from us. We also wanted no hassles, and we wanted to get it done simple and fast, because both we and our friends have been together a long time anyway, and we were not able to spend a lot of time away from work to travel to Maine (from Florida) to get married. Stephanie was very accommodating to all of this, plus she brought a warm love and sensitivity to everything that made it extra-special for us. She sent us materials to help us plan our services, and she put our desires together into a beautiful ceremony. She also handled the paperwork flawlessly - we were able to get married in the morning and get our certificates from the town hall in the afternoon! Who could ask for more?!

    For anyone considering a wedding in the Bath, Maine area, we consider Stephanie Batterman to be the person to contact to perform your ceremony. We are long time Denver, Colorado residents, unfamiliar with Maine and we initially contacted Stephanie via email. We knew of no one to help plan the location or the ceremony. The minute we met in person, we were immediately comfortable. Stephanie was extremely helpful, graciously suggesting several possible locations, giving helpful, insightful suggestions regarding our ceremony and vows and helping us find witnesses. We have no doubt that anyone would be delighted with her and her services. Our first, but not our last, visit to Maine was made all the more enjoyable by meeting Stephanie and her husband.

    Had a beautiful outdoor wedding at Patton Library Park . Beautiful pond with water feature , bridge and gazebo surrounded by giant trees and historic buildings. For my partner and I it was a perfect spot and Stephanie made it very special.

    Stephanie made us feel comfortable in all aspects of the ceremony. She conducts herself in the most professional manner and assures that everything including paperwork is done correctly and submitted personally to the tax office. She offered good suggestions and tailored the ceremony to our particular desires. We would highly recommend her to anyone and in particular same sex couples wishing to have a kind and sensitive person conducting their ceremony.

    Stephanie was the perfect officiant for our wedding. She is warm and caring and succeeded in helping us to create the wedding we wanted. We met with her for almost two hours to discuss our plans and she gave us many very helpful suggestions. She listened to each of our wishes and incorporated them into the ceremony so that we could have a very personalized event. I really felt that for Stephanie, planning and performing a wedding is much more than a job, but is a way of recognizing the sacredness of love and relatiohships. After we met, Stephanie was extremely responsive in making any changes we wanted and was very patient with us. She printed a beautifully designed program which we will cherish and a booklet of our ceremony. Everything went exactly as planned during the ceremony and our guests felt, as we did, it was a beautiful experience. Her husband Dean was very helpful in taking charge of the music on our CD player and he took wonderful pictures for us. I recommend Stephanie highly. She is a very special person.

    Stephanie officiated our Maine elopement this past October. She was a delight to work with - friendly, responsive and very helpful as were coming from out of state and had never been to Maine before. She worked with us to personalize our ceremony and it went off without a hitch. A big thanks to Stephanie for making our day so beautiful and special.     I can't imagine a better wedding officiator than Stephanie Batterman. When we first decided to get married, my fiance found her with a simple web search. Meeting at her beautiful home for the first time, she talked about all of the options for the ceremony we wanted, and a lot about herself. It was nice to get to know the person who was going to tie our knot. After a short and hassle-free planning period, she came to the house for the ceremony, brought her husband Dean, who helped set up and took all of the pictures we asked for (gratis!). Two of our 6 guests were very late, and Stephanie just rolled with it, waiting patiently and telling us hilarious stories of other wedding mishaps. Once everyone was there, it all went beautifully, and Stephanie's warmth and kindness won everyone over immediately. It didn't feel like we had HIRED someone to get us hitched; it felt like we had a new friend.

    We loved having Stephanie as our officiant. She met with us and spent time getting to know us and what we wanted for our ceremony. We wanted a spiritual ceremony and wrote our own vows. Stephanie integrated all of our ideas exactly as we envisioned. Her presence during the ceremony was beautiful. Many guests said that it was the most beautiful ceremony they had attended. It was our favorite part of the entire wedding and that is in great part due to Stephanie.

    Stephanie was great! She was very response throughout the process. My husband and I wanted to have a very active role in designing our ceremony. Stephanie gave us some great samples and worked with us as we wrote our own vows and ceremony. She is very professional and very pleasant. Our guests really enjoyed the ceremony and Stephanie's voice was great; she was able to project outside without a microphone and everyone could here. We really enjoyed working with her and would definitely recommend her to couples in the Bath/midcoast area!

    Stephanie was a true joy to not only work with for our wedding ceremony but to get to know as a person. The moment we met Stephanie we felt immediately connected, respected, and comfortable.

    My husband and I had been through quite a bit together and had been friends for years before walking down the isle. Stephanie listened to our wishes and helped us to personalize every detail of the ceremony so that no word did not feel like our own on our wedding day.

    By the time the ceremony took place, it was not just an officiant marrying us, but a true friend that I know we will stay in touch with for years to come.

    It was a complete pleasure working with Stephanie! My husband and I wanted a spiritual ceremony that wasn't too religious, and Stephanie was able to help us create a ceremony that fit us perfectly! She took care of all of the details, which was a huge relief. She was even able to do the programs, which were beautiful! She even helped pin me into my wedding dress at the last second after a wardrobe malfunction. :-) She can seriously do it all! I would highly recommend Stephanie to anyone looking for a very special person to marry them!

    I first want to say that Stephanie Batterman provided such wonderful services to my now husband and I that I would have expected from an expensive wedding planner. From the first moment I spoke with her on the phone I knew she was the one to perform the wedding ceremony I had waited 40 yrs for. She has a way about her - calming, kind and caring.
    She gave us information that we wouldnt have even thought about as far as getting our license, costs, locations, and many other things. She responded to emails that I sent her promptly, even when I had the tiniest little things to ask.
    Stephanie felt like a family member to me...which I never expected. When we finally met her the day before our ceremony, I felt like I was meeting a long lost Aunt...she made everything feel so special and is incredibly easy to talk to.
    After the wedding, I hugged her and cried and cried--in happiness of course!! Stephanie's husband Dean was our witness and also took a few pictures for us. He was kind, friendly and truly a patient man.
    These people have a special place in our heart and I write all of this with nothing to gain and in total truthfulness. If you are thinking of getting married in Maine, and dont have someone to do the job, she is the person to call. She made me feel like a very special bride even though I was married in flip flops and a cotton dress. I can not thank her enough for her services and friendship.

    In short, Stephanie is great.

    We met with a lot of officiants who were very knowledgeable able the business of getting married, Stephanie was interested in the why. When you are surrounded by dollars signs and head counts and project lists, someone who cares about the marriage more than the wedding is wonderful.

    I thought about lowering a few scores so I could point out how particularity awesome Stephannie was on Responsiveness and Professionalism but I think a perfect 5 plus a special call of attention is more appropriate.

    We found Stephanine to be very professional and personable. She guided us through the process and made good suggestions. Stephanie was very responsive from the moment of initial contact to the day of the wedding. Very flexible with meeting schedules to the wedding date. We would recommend her to any one whom is interested in getting married in the Mid-Coast area.
