Wonderful Experience with Stephanie

When I began my wedding planning, I had no idea how integral flowers would be to my big day. How much that would change after meeting with Stephanie! From the very first meeting, her passion for her work was evident. She took my very small knowledge of florals and quickly painted a beautiful picture of how she could transform our venue, The Cedar Room. She took inspiration from London pubs, the Chelsea Flower Show--it was clear she lived and breathed her work and was never short on ideas. When our wedding day arrived, I was stunned by how beautiful Stephanie's work was--her beautiful floral arrangements amazed all of our guests, who couldn't stop commenting on the gorgeous flowers adorning the tables from end to end, the stunning vines and hanging flowers over our dance floor, and even the flowers cascading along the Cedar Room's back gate where we entered for the ceremony. Stephanie's vision and immense skill made for a wedding day we will never forget--she is truly a dream vendor!

Floral Design Excellence

Stephanie and her team are constantly raising the bar on floral design for weddings and private events. I have worked with Stephanie for several years and I have truly watched her grow and flourish.

Stephanie is immensely talented, patient, kind and just a lovely person to have around on event day. We recently had an issue at a wedding where a completely unexpected and forceful gust of wind knocked over a centerpiece. Without even a ruffle in her feathers, Stephanie sprang into action, she had fixed the issue and honestly her solution made the wedding look even better than originally planned.

I cannot recommend the Stephanie Gibbs Events team enough. You will be very pleased with your decision to work with her and your event will truly be elevated to the next level by having her on your vendor team.

Magical Charleston February Wedding

Stephanie did an absolutely amazing job with all of the florals at our wedding. I was truly blown away with how she was able to recreate exactly what I wanted and bring it to life. She was a pleasure to work with and has a true passion for what she does. I would highly recommend Stephanie for any Charleston wedding!

Stephanie did a phenomenal job bringing to life the floral arrangements I had envisioned for my October wedding. She is truly talented and so knowledgeable and totally exceeded all of my expectations. Working with her was a breeze and I cannot thank her enough for making my day so special and beautiful. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Stephanie on the flowers for our daughter's wedding. Her creativity and vision were evident from the start. She designed and executed a flawless floral and greenery plan, transforming a plain ballroom into an elegant and breathtaking room. When our wedding budget ran away from us, she found ways to cut or substitute without losing any of the vision. From the massive hanging ceiling greenery to the bridal bouquet, the attention to detail was evident. She was professional and reliable and I would recommend her in a heartbeat!

Stephanie is a VERY talented event planner and floral designer. In several meetings with my daughter and I, Stephanie clearly understood the vision that my daughter wanted for her wedding and seamlessly created them for her. She confirmed with vendors ahead of time and coordinated them perfectly the day of. There was nothing for us to do except relax and enjoy which we DID! The flowers, decor, and layout matched the feel of the venue. The wedding day ran smoothly due to her detailed timeline. Stephanie will be coordinating my younger daughter's wedding is just 4 months. I can't wait to see what she does for Betsy!

WOW! Stephanie is absolutely fantastic and is truly a one-stop shop! Stephanie provided day-of coordination, florist and décor for our wedding at The Stony Landing House in Old Santee Canal Park. She made the entire process so seamless and she is super organized and detail oriented to ensure we didn't miss a thing. She listened to what we wanted and guided us to vendors (caterer, rentals, etc) who matched our vision and personality. Our family and friends are still talking about how amazing Stephanie was. Without a doubt, she was the single, best investment and value we made throughout the entire planning process! Hands down, I would give Stephanie my highest recommendation for any bride-to-be.

Stephanie Gibbs was so very helpful and was ready when there was a problem and solved it, like bridesmaid dress problem and things we forgot she was prepared! Did beautiful flowers that were just what my daughter wanted! Would definitely recommend her to anyone!

I used Stephanie as both my wedding planner and my florist. She was incredible. She really went above and beyond over the course of the weekend - dropping things off, picking things up, taking pictures of set up to make sure I was happy. Everything was beautiful! She really knows what she is doing; the room looked fabulous and the flowers were gorgeous. She took care of everything and I had no concerns the entire time and everything went off without a hitch. She was perfect!

Working with Stephanie Gibbs was absolutely the best decision we could have made! She was our coordinator and also did the decor and flowers for our wedding and she exceeded expectations in every way. She answered questions and helped keep things running smoothly during the planning process. She was always fast to respond and provided invaluable guidance. I don't know what we would have done without her. On the actual day of the wedding I literally didn't worry about a single thing because I knew she was on it. You're not just another client with Stephanie- she is a genuinely kind person and really cares about making your wedding perfect. On top of that her creativity for decor and flowers I think is truly where she shines. Shes such a creative person and has an incredible sense of style. She totally got the vibe for what we wanted and then stepped it up a notch! I got so many compliments on my flowers and decor. All of our guests were just blown away with the experience that she created for our wedding and I could not have been happier! Stephanie Gibbs delivered far beyond our expectations in every aspect and is really just a great person. We loved her!!

My husband and I used Stephanie with Sweet Grass Events as our Coordinator for our wedding. She came highly recommended. If I say she was a true God Sent that would be an understatement. She made everything about our wedding day so fun and easy. She went above and beyond through the planning, setting up and day of the event!! When I think of my wedding day I will think of Stephanie and how great she was to work with!! I would hands down recommend her!

Working with Stephanie was such an absolute pleasure in every way possible. It wasn't a vendor planning our wedding, it was a dear friend. I am a total 'type A' bride who was planning a destination wedding. I interviewed almost 10 full service planners and something just 'clicked' with Stephanie. She's a very down to earth, 'real' person, who just cares a lot about her clients. Throughout the entire process Stephanie was there to ensure that the day we envisioned was not only what we got, it was better! She was able to help steer us to amazing vendors and kept us within the budget we had set. Stephanie excels at the small details, and with just some broad guidelines, put together a day that our guests couldn't stop raving about. We planned the wedding from about as far away from Charleston as possible (Sydney, AU) and could not have done anything without Stephanie. Even though distance prevented us from talking for long periods of time, Stephanie was always a step ahead of our thoughts. And the decor, we cannot say enough about how creative, artistic, and resourceful she was. She also did our flowers, which ended up being one of my favorite parts of the day! It was perfection defined. We can't recommend her enough!

Stephanie was our day of coordinator for our At-Home Reception, and I'm so glad that we had her. She was so wonderful and able to help with small touches that made our party perfect. She is so friendly and easy to work with! I miss talking to her already! I would definitely recommend her.

Stephanie was hands down amazing!!! She was great with working with my budget first off and so helpful along the way during my engagement. She was very easy to get in touch with, answered all my questions even though I hired her strictly for day of coordination so that was amazing of her and definitely not required since I wasn't paying her for all my hundred million questions. The day of she was so soooo awesome. She was super friendly and able to keep everyone in line and on point. She also was really great about brining me and my hubby drinks whenever we needed them and before we were even introduced she brought us a plate of the passed appetizers so we could try one of everything as well as cocktails :) for dinner she brought us both full plates and gave us some time to eat and actually get to enjoy ourselves! One of my favorite things about her, she was really good about pulling you away from people who were cornering us for long periods of time so we could go have fun and talm to other people- that was much appreciated! Overall, she's amazing and you should call her immediately if you're engaged even if its just day of coordination she will make your wedding or special event that much better!

One of the best decisions I made during the planning of our wedding was hiring Stephanie Gibbs as our day of coordinator! She was always available to answer my questions leading up to the wedding, resourceful when I forgot or needed something, and kept her cool coordinating a 300 person wedding! Stephanie is absolutely AMAZING at what she does! Stephanie did all of my floral arrangements and coordinated my wedding of 125! She gave me just enough control (Major Type A), but handled all of the major details herself. I was amazed at how stress-free I felt the day of the wedding. She delegated tasks to family and friends so I wouldn't have to worry about a thing! We literally only met one time to talk about the floorplan, ceremoney, and reception timeline. When I arrived to the venue, everything was set up just as I had invisioned! Stephanie always kept a calm and collected demeanor! Her floral designs were GORGEOUS!!! She has truly found her calling as a wedding planner and floral designer! I feel so blessed to have Stephanie as a good friend and will HIGHLY recommend her to any local or destination bride! She knows what she's doing, who to contact, and how to make you feel completely at ease!!! Thank you Stephanie!! I am forever grateful for the masterpiece you created!!!

Stephanie was an absolute pleasure to work with!! She has lived in the Charleston area through out her life and has made wonderful contacts. If you have a vision, or even if you don't, Stephanie will make sure your day is perfect from every aspect. She is a florist, a designer, a planner and a great friend. I only wish I could do it all over again with her - I truly had the most magical wedding day -- even my husband admits that she was WELL WORTH the money spent (and that's coming from a man!). Hire her -- I promise, you will not be disappointed!

Awesome! Highly recommended. Stephanie went above and beyond what we expected and then some. She was very diligent and even kept in touch throughout the night and day with updates from the Weather Channel! Our wedding was PERFECT! I had only 40 DAYS to plan a wedding, and I (the bride) wasn't even living in the area, so finding Stephanie was an answered prayer. She was very responsive to my ideas; she picked up on my vision and preferences very quickly, even the unusual ones (like the classical music concert in lieu of dancing). She was EXCELLENT with my very detail-oriented mother, even when my mother and I changed around a lot of things that Stephanie or we had already planned--the location, the schedule, the number of guests, table-seating, and so forth (and remember, all of our changes were happening with less than a month before the wedding day!) Stephanie was fine with the adjustments, but she also had the courage to voice her concerns or thoughts, which was helpful.

I love that Stephanie is down-to-earth and not at all pretentious. I felt comfortable talking to her and found her to be very pleasant. Also, she will do an excellent job taking care of you throughout the whole process. For example, when I had to leave a meeting early, she made sure to get my mom to a soccer game and even loaned her a bleacher seat and umbrella! Such great service, above and beyond expectations! Stephanie also responds quickly to emails and phone calls throughout the process and she does an excellent job keeping everything on track the day of the wedding--without appearing stressed! Rather, she is there as a friend and supporter who you hardly notice (she doesn't draw undue attention to herself), she just appears whenever you need her or quietly reminds you that it's time to cut the cake.

I can also say that Stephanie knows her stuff and has great familiarity and vendor contacts in the Charleston area. She is a do-it-herself person, so she handled all the flowers, programs, and decor for us and everything was perfect. The flowers were gorgeous.

Really, we could not have been happier! After only 40 Days of planning, we had the wedding beyond our dreams—Thank you Stephanie!

Stephanie was personable, knowledgeable, professional, enjoyable to work with, caring, organized,efficient, and has outstanding attention to detail. Her people skills were top notch as she is in an industry dealing with varying personalities, emotions, expectations, etc. Our wedding was on very short notice (5 weeks). Stephanie made the short time line process not only less stressful, but enjoyable, and fun and memorable. The event far exceeded our expectations and we could not be happier. She was a delight to work with and her customer service was over the top!

Stephanie delivered exactly what she promised and more. She made this very special day- which was an out of town event for our family and guests- run smoothly. There was a glitch with our flower order that became apparent right before the ceremony- she kept us calm and problem solved beautifully and the wedding went off unscathed!! As the mother of the bride, I was more than pleased with the services Stephanie, owner of Sweetgrass Events, provided. This was a destination wedding for us and Stephanie allowed us to enjoy our time with family and friends rather than worrying about wedding coordination. She also has connections and knows quality vendors.
Everything was beautiful and well coordinated. As I have said to many people, all we had to do was show up! Thanks Stephanie. This was a very memorable experience-which it should be!

Stephanie is amazing at what she does; I don't know what I would have done without her on my wedding day! Not only did she organize the rehearsal, help set up on the day-of, organize the entire ceremony and reception, coordinate with all of the vendors (and SO much more), she was also my brain for the day! Everyone says how your wedding day goes by so fast, but I had no idea it would go THAT fast! Stephanie was always there to let me know when the dances are, when we're cutting the cake, when we're doing the bouquet and garter tosses, etc. We had so many people from our wedding party, families, and other wedding guests comment on how nice and helpful Stephanie was. Because of her, I was able to enjoy every bit of my wedding day. Thank you, Stephanie!

Stephanie was a lifesaver! I was an out-of-town DIY bride in need of a "day of" coordinator. Stephanie was so much more! She was a weekend-of coordinator, mediator (when things got rocky with the on-site facility manager), provided storage for the countless items we shipped to her pre-wedidng. We had Stephanie set up the wedding/reception venue and she fulfilled my vision perfectly! Stephanie was willing to work with my budget and so helpful and kind. My mom kept saying "Stephanie is worth every penny" and "We love her" throughout the weekend. The wedding was everything Rob and I wanted and we couldn't have done it without her. A "day of" coordinator is totally worth the fee so that you can have your special day to yourself- I promise Stephanie is worth it.

Stephanie was a gem to work with. I am one of those crazy DIY brides who hesitated to hire a coordinator, but I am so glad that I did!! Stephanie orchestrated the rehearsal and the wedding day beautifully. Brides, here is a tip....you will be SO GLAD that you have someone to take care of issues on your wedding day if you hire a coordinator! Stephanie set out all of the decorations and made sure that everything ran smoothly. She made sure that everyone was in place for the ceremony and sent the bridesmaids down the aisle at the right time. She kept up with the schedule for the day and answered questions from family/friends. - This allowed me to fully enjoy the day without stress. I would highly recommend working with Stephanie!!

Sweet Grass Events took care of our every need! Stephanie was very knowledgeable and thorough with planning. She really made the process go smoothly and was a great help all along the way. She arranged the flowers herself, which were gorgeous, and directed the ceremony with professionalism and enthusiasm. Stephanie gave us the individual attention we needed and was all-around very fun to work with. We definitely recommend her to any couples in the future!

My wife and I can not say enough about the quality of service that Stephanie provided us in putting togehter our daughter's Wedding. It was a joyful experience working this young women. In addition I forgot to mention that not only do she do an outstanding job as our planner but she also did the flower's for the event. A wonderful job and presentation. If you are planning a special event Stephanie Gibbs is the person you want. An absolute pleasure to work with.

My husband and I were pretty much in charge of planning our special day. But we knew that when the day actually came around that we would need someone to be in charge and call the shots. I asked around and several people (including co-workers and people in the industry) referred me to Stephanie. Being an A-type bride, a lot of things were already taken care of and I was happy to turn it all over to Stephanie. She kept me informed when some decorations went missing but ultimately took care of them. I trusted her judgement and everything turned out better that I planned. My parents still tell me that she is the most price-worthy and smartest vendor that we used. This coming from the parents who originally thought that we could have a family friend take care of things! Not once did I wonder about the timeline or whether we would get everything done. Her encouraging text messages and emails in the week leading up the wedding makes her the sweetest in the business. Even if you think you don't need a planner/co-ordinator, you need to get one. You will be so much more relaxed and will be able to enjoy everything!!

So many great things to say about Sweet Grass Events! Stephanie Gibbs was the best decision I made about my wedding (besides saying yes, of course). She is so professional and knowledgeable. When I arrived at our first meeting, she already had a very organized notebook dedicated specifically to my event. She wrote down everything we talked about. And she even used different colored ink for each meeting to distinguish them--oh I love it!! When I emailed her, she responded in a very timely fashion. The same for when I called and had to leave a message. Stephanie is dedicated to making sure the bride and groom can relax on their special day while she takes care of the details.

At the wedding, Stephanie had a timeline for everyone involved so each vendor would be on the same page. When we got there, she made sure we were comfortable, had what we needed and were ready to party. When it was time to do something (cake cutting/bouquet toss/etc) she just showed up and told me. I didn't have to worry about ANYTHING.

Stephanie kept the entire nigh flowing smoothly. She has a great relationship with local vendors which showed during the night. She made me breathe a sigh of relief when I saw her at the reception--I knew she was in control. All the hard work she did to make that night wonderful was evident.

I can't' say enough wonderful things about Sweet Grass Events by Stephanie Gibbs. Stephanie was the perfect addition to our perfect day!

We had a truly incredible experience working with Stephanie and can't say enough great things about her. Stephanie is a true professional in terms of responsiveness, creativity, helping us stay on budget, and working with us to help us bring our vision to life. Stephanie's relationships with other thoughtful wedding professionals (photographer, bakery, hairstylists, bagpiper, minister, etc) throughout Charleston made our decision to have a destination wedding so easy. There are a number of unique situations that we appreciated her involvement in outside of the typical wedding planner duties that really made us glad she was on our team, including giving directions over the phone to lost guests minutes before the ceremony and helping us locate a home on Folly Beach for the day after festivities. In short, we couldn't have done it without Stephanie! She's fabulous!

I wish I could rank Stephanie higher in the Value category! Stephanie was my day of coordinator for my wedding in August. I looked around quite a bit and obtained several quotes from other wedding planners in the area before I made a final decision. Looking back, I can definitely say Stephanie, BY FAR, offers the best value for your money. I really don't know what I would've done without her. From beginning to end, she was there and made sure I stayed close to my budget. Stephanie thought of things I had completely forgotten and kept me on track leading up to the wedding and the day of. She was extremely organized, responsive, and overall, VERY pleasant to work with! She also offered some great ideas and recommendations on vendors which, in the end, saved me a considerable amount of money. With regards to my actual wedding reception, I can't say enough. It was so nice to REALLY be able to enjoy the night with my friends and family. Stephanie took care of everything I didn't want to worry about and stayed on top of the vendors to make sure everything was perfect. She also packed us an amazing to go box of all of our wedding food and cake! One of my best memories is eating the wedding cake with my now husband in our hotel room after the reception!

Stephanie did such a wonderful job on our wedding. She was so creative, and she took all of our ideas and turned them into real life. I didn't have to worry about one thing during our wedding. She was kind and professional, and I was extremely pleased with the way everything turned out. She went above and beyond to try to make sure our "vintage" wedding theme came to life, and it far exceeded my expectations. I am so thankful to Stephanie for all of her hard work and for making our wedding such a beautiful and stress free day. She is very very talented!

Stephanie is the best wedding coordinator that I have ever come in contact with! She did an amazing job organizing everything for our big day!! My only regret is that I only really used her for the day of the wedding and the rehearsal. I wish I would have had her by my side for every step of the way during the planning process. She is very organized, punctual, and not afraid to lay down the law when it comes to making sure everything is perfect for the bride-to-be. Any bride would be lucky to have Stephanie by her side as her wedding coordinator. I would definitely recommend Sweet Grass Events to anyone for not only a wedding, but any event coordinating. There is no limit to Stephanie's creativity!!

I can't say enough about how great Stephanie was as a wedding planner for my daughter Tara's wedding. If she had not been there that day from early morning until the end
Tara's wedding would not have been as beautiful and well run.

From keeping the wedding party in line to having to run out for table cloths and batteries, she was great!! All done in a very professional manner.

I would highly recommend her for any event.

Stephanie was my day-of planner for my December 11, 2010 wedding. I could not have done it without her help, calm personality, eye, knowledge and creativity. Every time I needed something during both the rehearsal dinner and the reception she was right there with what I needed. Her attention to detail is unmatched. She made everything perfect and I would highly recommend her!

Stephanie with Sweet Grass Events was a life saver! I found her on craigslist and honestly could not have had a more amazing wedding because of her. She was always willing to meet or chat on the phone if I had any questions. I was planning my wedding long distance and Stephanie did anything she could to make my life easier. Our wedding day went flawlessly and I can credit that to Stephanie. She even puppy sat for us while we were at the reception! I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

We used Stephanie as our Day-of Wedding Coordinator and we couldn't have been happier with any other coordinator! She was there if we had ANY questions during the planning process; she did exactly what we asked of her and more. She set up our entire reception and tore down with the hotel staff. It was so nice to know that I had NOTHING to worry about our wedding day. We owe her for making our wedding day so wonderful!

Stephanie did an amazing job with day-of coordinating for my wedding in October 2008. She also gave great advice and wonderful ideas for my wedding and reception. Was very easy to work with, especially with me being out of town, responsive on emails, sends you final bill (but due 2 weeks after wedding date, so if on long honeymoon, prepare for that), family members complimented her as well-she always made sure we had a drink in our hand, went and got things we forgot, dealt with small issues that arose, handled the bride and groom departure (getting guests lined up, with sparklers, helped light them). She even helped prepare many things prior to the reception from hanging some lanters, putting up the candles, guest book, etc. She did an amazing job, and my mother who thought we wouldn't need a day of coordinator, was like, "I dont think we could have done this without her!"
It's your special day and the price of her services are very small to the benefits you will receive on your wedding day.

Stephanie was an amazing wedding planner. She was my day-of planner for my December 2008 wedding. I described what I wanted, and she made it all come together beautifully! I had absolutely no worries on my wedding day with her in charge of everything. She makes it all happen and even goes the extra mile. When one of our toasting glasses broke before our toast, she went out and bought us new ones! She is absolutely amazing to work with, and I'd recommend her to everyone!

I used Stephanie Gibbs as my wedding planner and florist. Stephanie is great at her job and certainly knows what she is doing when is comes to wedding planning and flowers. She was very easy to work with and helped make my wedding day so special!

Stephanie was our "week of" wedding planner. Before the wedding she was available for advice and support with decisions about the details. She did a great job in making everything run smoothly from the rehearsal through the reception and breakdown. It took a lot of the stress off the MOB and the Bride. Since the weather was not co-operating there were last minute changes that had to be made but she organized it all calmly and it went off well. Several of the wedding party and guests commented on what a good job she did. I highly recommend her.

Stephanie was worth every penny. She knows her wedding stuff. She made my wedding day flow without a hitch. She knew all the details of the day's itinerary, and kept me on schedule by reminding me when it was time to cut the cake, when it was time for the toasts, etc. At the end of the night, when my husband and I returned to our hotel room, we were able to relax knowing all the decorations, gifts, cake, etc. were sent home with the right people. As a very frugal bride who wasn't sure I needed a wedding coordinator, I am so glad we hired her. Several of our guests even commented on how helpful she was all night. Thank you!

All in all, Stephanie was perfect for our wedding planning. The only issue was trying to balance the communication between Stephanie, the bride, and me - the mother. I wish that I had established a direct line of communication earlier, instead of having a 3-way line of communication. Since i was the one out of town, and the one making the final budget decisions, it would have been better for me to be the main contact from the beginning of the process. This would have alleviated a few duplicate email questions and maybe diffused some confusion. That said, Stephanie did an excellent job of understanding and carrying out our vision. It was great to work with someone so passionate about her profession.

Sweet Grass provided our week of coordination so we did not have a lot of communication leading up to the wedding week. We did have a meeting two weeks out and everything was smooth sailing. I'm impressed with the coordination of our rowdy wedding party at the rehearsal and keeping all of us on task on the wedding day. It was priceless not to worry about setup, breakdown and everything in between!
