Perfection

Stephan Kane was nothing but professional, responsive, kind, and helpful from the beginning. After listening to his music samples, I was hooked. After booking with him, my wedding had many changes due to Covid-19. Stephan was flexible, accommodating, and supportive through this whole process, delivering nothing but kindness. On my big day, he was early and efficient, and immediately began to play his guitar, while dressed sharply. He is immensely talented. I could not believe my ears! He transitioned flawlessly from song to song, playing exactly what I wanted (he has an extensive repertoire, even including Hawaiian music), and even learned a new song just for us. The guests raved about how phenomenal he was, and I am so glad I decided on Stephan Kane rather than a DJ. To say the least, his guitar added pure magic to my wedding. I would recommend him to anyone looking for beautiful music for any event. THANK YOU Stephan!

Excellent wedding guitarist

Stephan did a wonderful job as the guitarist at our wedding. He is an exceptional guitar player, and we enjoyed hearing the music during our ceremony - it was so lovely!

He was incredibly kind and easy to work with during our general planning and covid reschedule. He has a super long list of songs he can play (both modern and classical, which is nice), and did a truly beautiful job!

We are so grateful for the special touch he added to our ceremony and big day! Couldn't recommend more highly!

Strongly recommend Stephan!

Stephan played at our wedding (SF City Hall) and was amazing! He sent us a list of songs to select from (a large choice of music- from the Beatles to classical). He was also kind enough to take the time to learn a song for the wedding for a small fee. We had a small wedding: my daughter and wife were the only ones to walk down the aisle. I was concerned that the timing would be off with his playing but he knew exactly what to do and I was grateful for his professionalism and his vast experience! Everyone enjoyed his playing! We strongly recommend Stephan!

Stephan's Guitar Talents Swept Everybody Away!

If you are looking for a guitarist to play at your wedding, HIRE STEPHAN. He is simply the best in the business and made our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour sound beautiful and magical!

We decided to do entirely Beatles songs for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Stephan even offered to learn two new Beatles songs outside of his repertoire specifically for our wedding for a small fee. He really went above and beyond to make sure the music was exactly what we wanted!

During the ceremony, I will never forget walking down the aisle to “In My Life” and hearing the beautiful strumming of his guitar. Several guests came up to us saying how wonderful Stephan’s music was. Not only is his music absolutely stunning, but Stephan was professional, on-time, friendly, and so easy to work with! He was very responsive on all communications and hiring him was one of the smoothest decisions I made in the wedding planning process. Thank you Stephan for your musical talents and making our wedding day so special!

Amazing Guitarist that Everyone Loved!

I cannot say enough good things about Stephan. He was super responsive, professional and performed above our expectations. Guitarist for our wedding ceremony

Stephan was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding! We chose him for his ability and willingness to learn a new song for us, but loved him for his responsiveness prior to our wedding. We didn’t talk at all day of, but he was ready to go and played beautifully. When the ceremony ended, we took photos in our church, and he played background music until his time was up. It was such a nice accompaniment and not something we had discussed, though I very much appreciated in the moment. If you’re looking for someone to play for an hour or a whole evening, Stephan is the one!

Talented and A Breeze To Work With

Stephan is clearly talented, it goes without saying, but he is also willing and able to learn new music outside of his repertoire, for a very reasonable price. The music in our ceremony was intentionally chosen, and he respected and honored our vision with such grace and class. We are so grateful to have found him and couldn't recommend him enough.

Palace of Fine Arts Ceremony

Stephan was such a wonderful performer at our small and intimate ceremony at The Palace of Fine Arts. From the get go, he was super responsive via email- I was shocked with how fast he would respond to my queries! It only took a few emails to secure his performance time and date. He then provided me with his library of songs- I chose the ones I wanted for our ceremony and it was smooth sailing from then on out. He arrived to the ceremony on time, played beautiful music, and really added some extra magic to our special day. Guests noted that they loved his presence. He was kind, professional and just what we needed for our procession. I would highly recommend booking Stephan for your next special event!

A great guitarist!

We initially talked to him because we liked his playing style and arrangements from the samples on his website. Stephan is a guitarist's guitarist who really cares about the craft. This is something that shows through in the music. It turns out he's also a good person and very easy to work with.

Beautiful voice!

Stephan was an incredible help in making sure my proposal to my gf goes well. He has a very nice voice and professional as well. SF City Hall Wedding Ceremony 8/29/19

We hired Stephen to play acoustic guitar for our wedding ceremony at SF City Hall (8/29/19). In addition to being very kind, responsive, and professional — his talent is out of this world! His music really set the tune (pun intended) for the entire ceremony! He transformed a very public City Hall into what felt like our own little romantic world. My family and friends could not stop talking about how beautiful his music was! Planning a wedding is very stressful having multiple vendors, but Stephen was the only vendor I did not have to worry about or chase down. He’s very upfront with pricing, plan, and requests! Wonderful experience

Stephan was wonderful! Incredibly professional, prompt responses, friendly, and, of course, excellent music. I cannot recommend him highly enough! On the logistical side, he took a ton of stress out of the planning experience – his website was super informative, his email responses very quick, and on the day of the wedding everything went smoothly. He's also an incredibly versatile musician - we wanted a mix of Hawaiian, contemporary, and Spanish classical for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and he did exactly that! Many of our guests were musicians themselves, and they all had tons of compliments for Stephan.

Without a beat, I would recommend Stephan to other couples looking to create a beautiful and authentic environment for their wedding day. Simply Outstanding!

I can't recommend Stephan Kane highly enough. First of all, he is an incredibly talented musician - just check out some samples of his arrangements on his website and you will be convinced. I feel honored to have had someone this talented play at our wedding. Second, he is wonderful as a vendor. We contacted him only 5 weeks before the wedding, and even though he already had a commitment for the evening of the wedding day, he worked hard to find a way to be able to play at our wedding. He was flexible, responsive, very professional and, as a bonus, incredibly sweet. Everyone at our wedding who had the opportunity to interact with him had a very positive impression and everyone loved the music. Finally, his pricing is very reasonable - we felt like we got an amazing deal. I recommend him very highly - you won't regret choosing this amazing musician!

World Class Guitarist

Amazing Guitarist = Beautiful Wedding

Stephan Kane played beautifully at our wedding in late September. But first things first: initial communication with Stephan was incredibly smooth. I sent him an email and his responses were always incredibly thorough and informative. After listening to some of his demos, my wife and I were sure he was the one.

I asked Stephan if he could please provide a custom arrangement for our first dance and he very professionally described what that process would entail. The results were amazing! The song he played for us was so perfect! My friends and family all asked about him and thought that his rendition of our favorite song (first dance) was very pretty.

After the first dance, Stephan played a very appropriate mix of songs from his repertoire. The wonderful thing about all the music he played the entire night was how perfect it was for whatever it was we were doing. When we were chatting, the music and volume were perfect. When we were eating, the music and volume was perfect. You get the picture. We could not have made a better choice. Stephan, your music at our wedding was a gift and you helped make our special day and evening one we will never forget! Thank you so much.

Stephan brought an incredible atmosphere to our event. Along with a violinist, their sound was gorgeous and filled the room. They performed a great set of contemporary songs through cocktails – and even learned a requested piece for our ceremony. Absolutely beautiful. Stephen did an amazing job at my wedding. He was able to play a customized playlist and learned a song that we really wanted for my walk down the aisle. It was awesome working with Stephan. He has an impressive range of music for you to choose from, was incredibly quick in his responses, and was completely professional on the day of. My husband and I were so sad we were pulled away during the entire cocktail hour for photos and didn't get to enjoy much of his music for ourselves, but multiple guests came up to me afterwards and mentioned how good our musician was. I would definitely recommend hiring him for your wedding or any other special event!!

Stephan is an amazing musician and his music and calm presence were the perfect accompaniment to the beautiful nature that surrounded us on our wedding day. We wished we could've ignored the wedding schedule to just sit and enjoy his wonderful music more on the day! With his reasonable ceremony/cocktail hour package, having the chance to experience his music beforehand on his website, and his professional demeanor through email and phone calls the decision to hire Stephan was an easy one.

Stephan was such an awesome addition to our wedding day. The place made it whimsical to have him there. I can't stress enough how Stephan played beautifully with the guitar strings. I loved every string sound played as I heard my wedding party walked down to Elle Guolding "Love me like you do" and to a more traditional Canon in D as I stepped into the chapel. Thank you Stephan for taking your time in learning and playing he songs I requested. Hope this review make you consider Stephan for any eventful occasion. Having him felt like he was also part of the family.

We highly recommend Stephan Kane, he was awesome!
At our request, he played Spanish/classical guitar prior to the ceremony, our songs of choice for the processional and recessional, and cocktail hour.
We were so grateful when Stephan offered to learn our song of choice for the processional.
Stephan was lovely to deal with. On the day of the wedding he was very professional but friendly when someone wanted to have a chat. He was responsive to our emails and when we asked for help with the selection, order and style of the songs for the processional and recessional he was very informative.
Stephan is a phenomenal guitarist and our guests commented on how talented he is.
We are so pleased with his service, attire, demeanour and professionalism. We would hire Stephan again in a heart beat!

Stephan was a great vendor to work with. He was easy to communicate with and prompted to answer any questions I had. I was planning my wedding from California and had a hard time finding the right person to sing or play for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Stephan is a gifted guitarist and glad I came across his profile online. 2 thumbs up and recommend him for your event.

Stephan was amazing! He learned a new piece for the ceremony and it was even better than I imagined. He was so professional and really created an amazing atmosphere through his music. I would definitely recommend Stephan for any event!

Ladies, if you want a dreamy and romantic ambiance at your wedding with an affordable price tag and no hassle communication, look no further, Stephan is the musician for you! Initially, I was hesitant about spending money on live music and was just going to have a playlist for my daytime wedding at Halekulani because I was finding that most live musicians did not fit in my budget. However, I found Stephan online and was impressed by his affordable rates compared to other musicians. I booked Stephan for both my ceremony, and cocktail hour/reception (he has a special package for this) and I am so happy that I did! From the very beginning, it was such a pleasure working with Stephan. I sent him so many emails with questions and he always responded very promptly (within several hours) and politely. I had also requested a special song for my first dance, which I wanted to be accompanied by a family member for vocals and Stephan not only did this for free (including a practice session) but I was brought to tears by how beautiful the piece turned out! It created a very special memory for my husband and I. Stephan is a very talented and professional musician and I promise you, he will make your already stressful wedding planning process easier!

Stephan provided the ceremony music and cocktail hour music at my wedding and he was nothing short of amazing. From the interaction to confirm the services to making sure everything was in order prior to the event, and providing the music I was looking for at my wedding, I highly recommend Stephan for any wedding event. You must book Stephan for your wedding ceremony!

Planning a destination in Hawaii from California was such a breeze with vendors like Stephan. Stephan was so easy to work with and extremely profession. I found him on wedding wire and researched his website, where he provides a lists of songs that he can play which also includes audio samples. We corresponded via email a few times throughout the year in regards to song choices and timeline, and he was so quick to respond to emails - much appreciated! On the day of the wedding, Stephan arrived on time and came prepared with his own tent since it was an outdoor wedding. He even provided us with a microphone for our officiant to use since we had not planned for that!!! Even today people are still complimenting how beautiful the ceremony music was! You will not be disappointed booking Stephan!!!!

We actually didn't plan to have Steve play at our wedding, but we feel so lucky to have gotten to make his acquaintance through another musician who we originally contacted. We had heard Paul Issac around town and really liked his music so we had originally contracted with him to play through our appetizers and then to ramp it up to the dancing time. Unfortunately ( actually fortunately :) ) Paul couldn't make it until after the appetizer so he introduced us to Steve. Paul made the arrangement for Steve to play classical guitar for our appetizers and then once Paul arrived and dinner/ dancing started they both turned up the amps and played some awesome homecooked Hawaiian style jams. So obviously Steve is a very talented and diverse musician. We couldn't have been happier with the way things turned out.

Steve's solo style was perfect for our appetizer time. We really liked his classical ( and very classy) take on songs that we know and like. Steve and Paul made our event feel classy, organic and fun. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Stephan Kane's booking offered the option guitar duo with Luke Trimble. The service was very professional. Steve replied to all of my emails in a timely and kind manner. Being a former pianist myself, I know that some musicians can be touchy when clients give preferences or ask for certain music -- not the case at all with this wonderful guitar duo. From Steve's large repertoire listed on his website, I chose the majority of the songs for the hour of the ceremony. Songs not in his listed repertoire, Steve was very accommodating in arranging for us: I enjoyed what he did with my special request for Debussy - Clair de Lune. He was also kindly kept the time flexible so we could move the hour up and down by ~15 minutes while we confirmed last minute details with the venue and other wedding vendors.
BOTTOM LINE:
Steve is a well organized, great musician who was a joy to work with for my wedding. His services (and the option to book him as a duo with Luke) are high quality and were a worthwhile investment. We were lucky to have found him. And I recommend to book him while he's still available for your event!

When we were looking for a musician to play at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, we really wanted to have someone who not only had an amazing sound, but who would be willing to personalize our song selection. We can't say enough about Stephan, he is an extremely talented classical guitarist, very professional and he really went above and beyond! He learned 10 songs for us that were not in his repertoire and he did such a fantastic job of every single song he played! We received so many complements from our friends and family and highly recommend him. Thank You So Much Stephan for all your hard work and for making the music on our special day absolutely perfect! :)

Stephan was great! We had a smallish ceremony in an ocean cove and the mix of classical and contemporary music set the mood both pre-ceremony and during. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to other couples looking for an acoustic guitarist on Oahu.

If you are considering booking Stephan DO IT! He is a true professional and extremely talented. Stephan was prompt with communication, let us know what to expect, and went above and beyond for our wedding. He surveyed in advance if we had any special requests; we asked if he would collaborate with our family member, who is a professional singer, to come up with a song for our first dance. They met and rehearsed ahead of time and preformed beautifully, and even had more songs as a surprise. Stephan has a wide repertoire and knows when to play slower songs and when to pick up the pace. We booked Stephan for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and partly into the reception. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again.

We found Stephan Kane through an internet search for wedding musicians. We wanted a solo guitarist to play classical music while guests were arriving, to provide the processional and recessional music for the ceremony, and to play more contemporary pieces during the cocktail hour. Stephan more than lived up to our expectations. He met with us some weeks before the wedding, and was extremely helpful in explaining what he offers and in assisting us in compiling our list of pieces.

His playing was simply beautiful -- he created the perfect ambiance, and many of the guests complimented his musicianship. His playing brought tears to my eyes as I walked down the aisle. His rates are very competitive, and he even adapted a favorite song of ours, at no extra charge, to play during the recessional. His demeanor is professional and friendly, and he looked like he was having a great time playing for us. We would use him again in a heartbeat.

My fiance (now husband) and I were interested in having a musician play during our outdoor wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. My wedding planner sent us a few suggestions. My fiance (who has a background in music) was particularly impressed with Stephan so we decided to go with him. I am glad we did. Stephan was great. The music was lovely (we chose a mix of Hawaiian and contemporary but he also does classical) and a good match for the venue. Several guests complimented his playing afterward at the reception - overall we were completely satisfied with Stephan Kane and would highly recommend him.

Stephan is an amazingly gifted guitarist, and a really wonderful young man. He not only traveled from Ashland to Portland for the rehearsal and wedding, but added 3 new songs to his repetoir for our wedding. Gotta love him.

Absolutely amazing! We were so lucky that Stephan was in our area and was able to provide the perfect ceremony music. His music during the ceremony set the tone for the entire magical evening and made my daughters special day that much better. He was so easy to coordinate with.
