Wedding at Steele Canyon!

Just had our wedding at Steele Canyon Golf Club last Saturday. Everything was perfect! Rene was extremely helpful and very responsive. He was understanding (especially with us still wanting to get married as planned during covid, even if it meant downsizing our guest list) and he was very accommodating! Having signed our contract with Yvette before she retired, then starting to do a little planning with Barry, who then also retired, I was a little worried about working with the new comer, but Rene proved he was just as great! He went above and beyond with helping us plan our wedding. Even having Teressa come in as our wedding coordinator. She was able to put everything together perfectly and made sure our ceremony ran smoothly! She was a sweetheart! In fact, the entire staff was extremely friendly! All of our guests kept complimenting how great everything turned out and how kind the staff was. I couldn’t imagine having my wedding anywhere else and am forever grateful to Rene, Teressa and team!

Have your event at Steele Canyon Golf Club!

Our daughter and son-in-law were married at Steele Canyon Golf Club on 11/2/19. Barry Rice offered the guidance and support to make our event superlative. Barry and everyone on his staff are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. The communication was without comparison. Emails and phone calls were answered promptly, and in-person visits were arranged as needed.

We attended Open Houses throughout the planning process to taste appetizers and entrée selections and that allowed us to see the pavilion (reception area) decorated and set up with tables. Different vendors were on hand each time to show us what they offer. Additionally, Barry gave us a list of vendors who work at Steele Canyon frequently and we met them all and selected people from that list.

There are different packages available to meet the needs of any party. We chose the Canyon package and were overjoyed by all that was included in the surprisingly low per person price (appetizers, the meal, wine at dinner, champagne toast, centerpieces, invitations, 1 hour hosted bar, wedding cake, DJ and more for our 158 guests). There were plenty of options for individualizing our event. We had both the ceremony and reception at Steele Canyon and we were pleased with the free, ample parking, a rarity at venues in San Diego County.

Many of our guests were locals who had not been to Steele Canyon Golf Club and were charmed by this hidden gem in their midst. We also had guests from 12 other states and from Mexico who were enchanted by the surroundings. I really can’t be sure that Barry and his staff get credit for the glorious weather we had that day, but then again, who knows?

Superb Customer Service

From the moment we walked onto the Steele Canyon Golf Club property we were treated with the upmost dignity and respect. Greeted instantly upon getting out of the car, and staff gave us the feeling of being very family oriented. From the 1st interaction all the way to the conclusion of the wedding, the level of customer service, consistency and attention to detail remained above all. Both Barry and Yvette were on top of everything at all times, and even helped us to keep our wedding jitters at bay. We could not have selected a better venue to hold our wedding, and if we had to do it again Steele Canyon would still be our first choice. Thank you for making our fairytale wedding a dream come true as you all are the real MVP's. If you are seeking a Beautiful venue, with excellent food and Superb Customer Service, look no more as Steele Canyon Golf Club is the best thing since sliced bread!!!!!

Amazing Venue and People

I have so many wonderful things to say about this place and the people who made our day unforgettable. I hope I don’t forget anything!

The venue is beautiful. From the ceremony site and reception space, both inside and out, to the grounds where we took pictures. Absolutely gorgeous.

The packages they offer are reasonable and customizable. They really try to cover all your bases from start to finish. Options include everything from invitations, centerpieces, cake, DJ, hosted cocktail hour, ect. Leave it in or take it out, they will adjust the cost accordingly.

The food was fantastic. To be honest, I didn’t get to thoroughly enjoy the food on our wedding day with all the bride responsibilities. However, I had dozens of people tell me how delicious it was and some even stated it was the best wedding food they had ever had.

Without a doubt, the best part of our whole experience at Steele Canyon was Barry and Yvette. From the first time I spoke with Barry at the Bridal Bizarre, he was warm, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Any question I had, and let me tell you, I had a LOT, he was quick to respond and eager to help. On the day of the wedding he and Yvette coordinated everything for us. I mean EVERYTHING! From vendors, set-up & tear down to keeping us on our schedule, feeding us and most importantly ensuring both my husband and I had no stress or worries all night!

We cannot recommend Steele Canyon enough. Our guests had an amazing time, they were so easy to work with them and I wish we could do it all again… We love you guys!!

We can't say enough about the Steele Canyon Golf course/clubhouse venue. It was absolutely breathtaking! Barry & Yvette were on top of everything and so accommodating! If you haven't yet, attend an open house at the clubhouse, with the wedding vendors. The recommended vendors are the best of the best! It's literally a one stop shop for all your wedding needs!! Thank you Barry for all your help, time, and effort; it was a perfect day!! Pete and I are forever grateful 😊

If they are available on your date, PUT YOUR DEPOSIT DOWN NOW! And if they are not available, consider changing your date. Yes, Barry and Yvette and their entire team are that GREAT! We cannot express enough how grateful we are of this venue. They definitely made everything so breezy, so relax and so efficient. Their communication is superb, their vendors lists amazing and they are such joy to work with. They are very kind people, direct, trustworthy, excellent professional opinions and of course, beautiful venue overall. We are so lucky to be able to work with Barry and Yvette, to find this location and to work with their preferred vendors. They made everything less stressful (so important for bride and groom) and our family and friends complimented how accommodating and nice the entire staff were on our wedding day. They broke down the process from picking a package to modifying each section to making our wedding vision come true. Barry and Evette (i love these guys!) have been very helpful on everything from the day we sign up to the day of our wedding! We get to go on their “open houses” to see and talk to their vendors. See all the samples of their table arrangements. Their vendors are all nice and they are all helpful!! I love this place!! I love the vibe, and the clean and well maintained environment. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wedding venue. They got everything in their packages that are helpful to those who are in budget! Best believe if you need anything, they will be there to help you!

Having our wedding at Steele Canyon Golf Club was one of the best choices we made during this whole journey. From the beginning, Barry and Yvette the wedding coordinators, guided us step by step with the wedding process. My husband and I truly appreciate all the work that went into making our special day even more special. This venue is a hidden gem. The sunset alone is breathe taking. The venue is absolutely beautiful. The staff always have smiles on their face and are very helpful. Barry was amazing. We planned the wedding from Arizona. Barry was very accommodating with our schedules and always responded to our emails and calls in a timely matter. I don't know what I would have done with out him. He has over 20 years experience with weddings and knows it all. He made my western theme wedding come alive. Highly recommend this venue to everyone! They also do events so when the time comes we will be having our baby shower there!

We recently had our wedding @ Steele Canyon Golf club. It was simply fabulous. Barry handled every detail & made sure it was perfect. His attention to detail put my mind at ease. All of our friends said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. The only thing we wish we didn't like is that it had to end! Everyone should get married here! The views of Steele Canyon Golf Club are something that cannot be beat. My husband and I had looked at many wedding venues before looking at Steele Canyon and once we saw this place, we booked right away. We loved that the ceremony location and reception were near each other. We wanted a clean open look that we could do what we want with, and this definitely offers that. We were able to transform the venue into our nature/ national park theme and it turned out amazing. This venue doesn't need much decoration but it allows for some nice details to be added to make it your own. It was also nice because the guests were able to see us running out to take some golden light photos so it never felt as though we were completely gone to take photos. You are also supplied with a golf cart to go out on the course and fine all different kinds of scenery. You are sure to find the look you want for pictures. Barry, the wedding coordinator, is amazing. He allowed us to customize anything we wanted and he is very prompt with communication. The day of the wedding, literally nothing went wrong even though many people told us things always go wrong. I owe a lot of that to Barry and his organization :] Also, the food is AMAZING. All our guests talked about how great the food was and still are talking about it today. If you are looking for an open venue with amazing views (plus sunset views from the deck) BOOK STEELE CANYON FOR YOUR WEDDING.

The setting and views at Steele Canyon are unbeatable. There are different ceremony options and so many locations around the golf course providing one of a kind photos so your day feels special comparing to no other! Barry & his team were phenomenal. Years of experience provided so many valuable ideas that I would have never come up with even with an outside wedding coordinator. Guests are still commenting that this is the best venue in town!!

Steele Canyon was the very first venue my now husband and I looked at, we fell in love with it! Victoria gave us a quick tour and sat down with us to go over the venue booklet. She was awesome! Very sweet and gave us exactly what we wanted. Barry was also amazing! He went over the final touches with me and my parents, we was so kind and listened to everything we said! After the meeting I had a few questions and requests that I sent his way and he was quick to respond and accommodating! The day of the wedding there were thunderstorms in the morning ( which never happens in San Diego! ), my mom and sister in law went to put the final touches on the table and Barry was so nice to explain to my mom what they were going to do if it rained again and where they were going to set up the buffet. It was fantastic! Everything went perfect! I loved every minute of the reception and was so happy! Thank you, Steele Canyon!

Barry, our wedding coordinator was amazing. From the first time I communicated with him until the actual wedding, he was very helpful and available to answer any questions. We had to plan my daughter's wedding from the East Coast and what could have been a nightmare was a dream come true, because of Barry and the beautiful venue setting. We were not disappointed with anything, from the set-up, to the food, to the view, to the weather, my daughter's wedding was just what we hoped it would be.

I don't even know where to start... Barry at Steele Canyon literally MADE our wedding! To be honest, I don't think he told us "no" to a single thing we ever asked for! He is so fun, has a way of de-stressing you by making you laugh, and ALWAYS makes you feel like he has everything taken care of. He was flexible with our menu, our seating arrangements, or "plant selection"- I have a thing against green potted plants... I'm not sure why, but he ran with it! He let us stop by whenever we needed with whatever vendors we needed. My husband and I felt like he was our friend helping us plan our wedding, not just a venue coordinator. Our wedding came off BEAUTIFULLY, and I will be always thankful!

Everything about Steele Canyon is a cut above! From Event Coordinator, Barry Rice, to the FABULOUS food, to the quiet and beautiful surroundings (that make for some gorgeous wedding pictures!) – Steele Canyon exceeds all expectations! We had our Rehearsal dinner there, too!

We were treated like family every step of the way and will treasure the memories always – we’ll be back for lunch, Barry!

Planning my daughter’s wedding at Steele Canyon was a pleasure from start to finish and oh, what a finish! Steele Canyon gave my daughter and new son-in-law the wedding of their dreams.

Our wedding coordinator Barry was great. The wedding was everything we expected and more. The reception area is really nice. We love the fact that is it open and people get to go out to the patio area to get some fresh air. The food was very good. Everybody had a great time. People can't stop telling us how our wedding turned out really nice....the best wedding they have ever been.
We also had our rehearsal dinner at the restaurant. Barry accommodated us and even set up a special menu for us and our bridal party. Overall, our experience with Steele Canyon Golf Club has been amazing. They took care of a lot of things for us and we didn't have to stress about having too many vendors.

We hosted our daughter’s wedding at Steele Canyon and it was fabulous! We had many compliments regarding this venue and many “how did you find this place?”. Fortunately, we live in Rancho San Diego and were aware of Steele Canyon. The beauty and privacy of Steele Canyon make it a unique wedding location in San Diego County. The affordable cost allowed us to provide transportation for our guests staying downtown. The service was fantastic and the food was great. We used Barry’s preferred vendors: Jasmine Creek Florist, Electrifying Entertainment, ABM Photo, Touch D’Elegance linens and Photo Box. The result was a perfectly orchestrated evening! My only complaint is that it ended too soon!

We give Barry and his staff at Steele Canyon Golf Club 5 stars for our wedding! Barry was absolutely amazing. SC has a lot to offer with its amazing views and airy pavilion, but what we loved most about SC is BARRY RICE, the manager. Barry was available and helpful every step of the way - from signing the contract to the day of Barry was by our side making sure everything was taken care of. We would recommend this venue to everyone - for the location, ambiance, service and staff.

Barry and his colleague gave great service. As our wedding got closer he gave us his cell number so I could call him anytime with any questions, and I did. He answered his phone like he said and answered my question. He was very straight forward when we first met. I had a lot of questions and he got right to the point. I never sensed that he was hiding anything or had any tricks up his sleeve. He is also very flexible to do whatever he can (within reason) to make our day run smooth. He even talked to my other vendors for me to clarify the order of events. He makes you feel like more than another client

Steele Canyon is absolutely amazing! We fell in love with the venue when we visited their open house a year ago. The food is so good and a great value! The wedding coordinator, Barry, is absolutely the best! He was there from day one till our wedding day when he joined us on the dance floor for the cupid shuffle dance =). Whenever I had concerns/questions I could always call, email or visit him. He always made me feel like everything would work out and be fine and it was! Our friends and family had a blast at the wedding and are still talking about it 3 weeks later. I 100% recommend Steele Canyon. They are a top notch venue and the staff members are so professional and nice.

Barry and his staff were fantastic!!! The wedding went off without a single problem. Leading up to the wedding, Barry was helpful and always there to meet with us and answer our questions. He had an answer for everything and was very organized. On the day of the wedding, he was working with all of our vendors to ensure that everything went according to our timeline. The staff at the wedding was professional and extremely quick and responsive if we needed anything. I would HIGHLY recommend Steele Canyon. Also, the venue is BEAUTIFUL!!!

Steele Canyon Golf Club is a beautiful location for a wedding. Everyone loved it! And we were so lucky being able to work together with Barry Rice as the Event Coordinator. He is very professional, really kind and does everything he can to make your wedding day perfect! Since I had a very clear and set picture of how I wanted everything to be at our wedding, I sometimes must have given Barry a hard time, but he always tried to include all of my wishes. I had the most beautiful wedding at Steele Canyon Golf Club. Everything from the beautiful location, service, and food was fantastic. Barry Rice, the coordinator from Steele Canyon, was very helpful during the planning stages. He was always available for us; even giving us his personal cell phone number so we can contact him at anytime. He made our special day run so smooth. Everything went without a hitch! I've had so many guests tell me afterwards that our wedding was one of the best they've ever been to. From the appetizers to the main course, the food was phenomenal. Our pictures turned out fabulous, partly due to the beautiful golf course background. The waiters and waitresses did a great job of delivering the meals and cleaning up afterwards. My husband and I now look back with so many wonderful memories of our special day and we can honestly say we wouldn't have changed a thing.

The only thing I wanted for my daughters wedding was to be able to sit back and enjoy it. I didn't wanted to be coordinating or be pulled in different directions and miss everything. Barry Rice delivered exactly what he promised and them some. He helped me give my daughter the wedding of her dreams. The venue is beautiful with a perfect backdrop for wedding pictures. The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful. Thank you all for a night everyone is still talking about weeks after the wedding.

I am an event planner by trade and very detailed oriented and definite about what I want an event to look like which made handing over my most important event... my only child/daughter's wedding a difficult task. Steele Canyon Golf Club was a beautiful venue for our daughters wedding. The ceremony site is perfect with the beautiful golf course, rolling hills, and an amazing view. My daughter and I planned her whole wedding and were looking for a venue that stayed within our budget. Steele Canyon did just that. The sunset deck and the reception area were amazing! The photo ops were abundant and food ...wow was so good! We had many complements from our guests. Barry Rice and his staff were wonderful to work with. He was always available to get ahold of and was always there for our many questions/concerns. He kept my daughter (and me) under control on the wedding day and kept our guests within their limits. Barry has such a professional, warm sense of humor and kept us laughing throughout. I don't know what we would have done without him. Thanks to Steele Canyon for making our daughters wedding unforgettable.

Steele Canyon had everything we wanted for our wedding venue. It was the first venue we looked at when we began our search, looked at many but kept coming back to Steele Canyon. The picturesque photo opportunities are abundant! Barry Rice was amazing! He not only served as our day of coordinator but was there for the entire process. He always got back to me with any questions I had but most of all was supportive and kept me under control on my wedding day. Our wedding was beautiful. The guests had a great time and we had so many complements on the venue, staff and the delicious food. I highly recommend Steele Canyon for anyone looking for a wedding venue.

Barry and his staff are absolutely amazing. He kept in contact with us before the wedding and I never had to worry about a single detail before, during, or after. He is extremely professional and treats you as if you are the only couple getting married, even though he has weddings almost every weekend. The food was amazing and I had such a wonderful time. The location is absolutely beautiful and the room did not need a lot of decoration because it is a beautiful room with glass doors that face the sunset. And the best part is the PRICE! All of this for such an amazing price in San Diego. I couldn't believe every thing we got for the price. I would recommend Steele Canyon Golf Club to any bride who is looking for an amazing venue and wants people who truly care about the small details. Barry is one of a kind and is a natural in this field. He made our wedding even better than I could have imagined.

From the onset of the planning for my daughter's wedding, Barry was "in the details!" When we attended the Bridal Fair at Steele Canyon Golf Club months in advance of the date, Barry answered all of my questions and offered suggestions that would only take our event to another level! Barry went "above and beyond" to satisfy all of my requests, always with a big smile and a sincere desire to please. During our reception, which began a little later than anticipated, Barry approached me numerous times, offering solutions for updated timelines, in order to allow all of the activities to take place. His complete "stress-free" attitude helped me to simply relax and delight in the affair. This venue is amazing! They don't nit pick and charge for every fork, knife, and spoon. Barry (the event/food and beverage coordinator) was nothing short of the best! He was so attentive to all our needs. He contacted us several times via email or phone. He always made sure that we were comfortable with everything, and answered any questions we had promptly. He was definitely my (the bride) support system. Not to mention, he is super genuine and sweet. The food is also very good at this venue. We got to taste many of the selections for free during one of showcase events before our wedding. No matter which food option you choose, rest assured that it will taste amazing and look professional.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Steele Canyon recently! Barry and his staff were wonderful, they completely exceeded our expectations! Barry was quick to answer any questions we had in the months leading up to the wedding, and very flexible with some special requests we had. The day of the wedding we didn't have to do a darn thing, everyone at Steele Canyon made sure the festivities were flowing smoothly, Barry was always around for anything we needed, and omg the FOOD! We had our rehearsal dinner for 65 people at this venue and it was absolutely fantastic! The room was beautiful, the food was incredibly delicious, the service was wonderful and Barry Rice and his staff went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were very impressed with the entire evening. We couldn't be happier with our experience at Steele Canyon Golf Club and would not hesitate to have another large gathering there in the future. We highly recommend this venue!

If you are considering Steele Canyon Golf Club for your wedding, look no further! Run to the nearest phone and call Barry Rice immediately and all your wedding dreams will come true! They were a one-stop-shop for us, which was especially reassuring as we planned our wedding long-distance. We cast our wedding vision to them and they did it all - ceremony site, reception site, tables and chairs, catering, and wonderful coordination with our DJ, bakery and florist to get everyone on the same page before our wedding day. They even gave us a list of what to do each month leading up to our wedding and walked us through our Rehearsal the night before, giving us great peace of mind that our wedding day was going to go smoothly. Barry was classy, professional, incredibly fun and in tune with the atmosphere we were trying to create through our wedding. He was great at thinking outside of the box! And our guests are still talking about the incredible food they ate at our wedding. I am so thankful to Barry and the Steele Canyon Staff for making our wedding day the BEST it could be!

Steele Canyon was a dream come true for our wedding! Everybody was wonderful, professional, timely, classy... I can go on and on. Barry Rice, the wedding coordinator, was fantastic. The entire venue was amazing. We had the plated dinner with prime rib or parmesean chicken and both entrees were phenomenal. Barry made planning the wedding painless and fun by offering a preferred vendor event where we found our DJ, our cake and our linen company. He was quick to respond to any and all correspondence regarding wedding details, club events, etc. I just wish we were getting married again so I could experience the day again! I highly recommend Steele Canyon Golf Club to all brides who want a beautiful, classy, flexible, and memorable wedding. He answered questions, emails, phone calls, etc so quick. We found out about Steele Cyn from my wedding coordinator, Victoria w/ Theory wedding & Events. Steele Canyon Golf Club, the answer to every bride and groom's nightmare, you know one of the biggest decision a bride and groom have to make is finding a venue. Steele Canyon was an amazing venue for our outdoor wedding ceremony and our reception!! Barry Rice and the Steele Canyon staff are great to work with - very professional and friendly. The venue is gorgeous - with a beautiful sunset during the reception. The new patio is also a wonderful addition.

The price is also much more reasonable than other venues in the area. The food is also very good.

Our families and guests are still talking about how wonderful our wedding was and how it was one of the nicest weddings they had ever been to. You will not be disappointed!!

My husband and I got married at Steele Canyon on 9/10/11 and could not of found a better venue. Barry Rice (SC's wedding cord.) worked with us on every detail we needed and made our wedding the most special day we will remember. As far a bang-for-your-buck you cant get any better than Steele Canyon. The wedding area outside/inside is beautiful, with a golf course that would rival any venue on the sea. We have nothing bad to say about the staff or venue, EVERYTHING was great! We would recommend this site to anyone.

Great venue-beautiful facility. Barry Rice is first class and does a great job with the entire process. The food was amazing. We had a plated Filet, mango chicken or salmon. All were very good, generous portions and prepared to perfection and that is not easy for a wedding of 200 guest. I highly recommend Barry and his staff. Love having the ceremony and reception at the same location, it makes everything easier for everyone. This venue is an exceptional value. You would expect to pay more for a wedding at such a beautiful facility and with the quality of food and beverage that are provided.

Where do I begin, Steel Canyon and Barry Rice made my wedding a day a dream come true. My new husband and I are telling anyone who would listen how awesome our wedding at Steele Canyon Golf Course was :) Barry and his team did a great job! With every wedding you hear of little snags that happened, and Barry was quick to fix anything that popped up. And we didn't notice and were told after the fact Lol every bride should be so lucky to work with a great team. We decided to serve a plated dinner of filet mignon and chicken with a side of garlic mashed potatoes and season veggies...The food was soo good, all our guest kept saying how good it was. Not the typical wedding food :) which made us really happy to know all our hard work had paid off when we picked Steele Canyon as our Wedding Venue.

From the moment I met with Barry at Steele Canyon, I knew I had made the right choice. Not only is the location beautiful, but Barry and the staff made me feel so comfortable! It was very comforting knowing I could contact Barry with any questions or concerns I had and not feel like I was bugging him. He was always there with an open ear to answer any question I had. He has a great report with many of the other vendors and acts as almost your own personal wedding coordinator! I had several guests that came to our wedding that said they hoped I didnt mind that they were now considering Steele Canyon for their wedding because it was so beautiful. Barry at Steele Canyon Golf Club was terrific! The venue has improved so much since we had first seen it and we were so happy to be able to have our wedding there. Barry saved the day with a floral problem when she failed to deliver petals for the flower girls. He was there from start to finish to answer all of our questions. The food was delicious and the views were breath taking. The only reason I put a 4.5 for flexibility is to not fault of theirs, and something we went into knowing, but I wish the end time could have been later. Due to the residential area it had to end before I had wanted. I felt really stress-less on my wedding day and a big part of that was due to my feeling confident that Barry had things under control!

Steele Canyon was the first venue my husband and I visited and no other place compared to the beauty of the grounds, the value, and the professional and friendly Barry Rice. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful through the planning process which relieved a lot of stress and pressure from us. It is important to know that you can only arrive two hours early to decorate the venue. Also, because we got married on a Sunday we had to have our rehearsal on Saturday morning since there was another wedding on Saturday night. For the reception, Barry was very helpful in giving us a detailed outline of how the reception would run, and assured us he would be there throughout the entire night. We did have a little of bit of trouble during the reception however, especially with the cake cutting when he wasn't there and after we did the ceremonial cutting we had to go find the servers to cut and distribute the cake. There were a few things I would have liked to be more organized but perhaps that was our misunderstanding. Overall, I am very glad we chose Steele Canyon for our wedding.

The place was absolutely amazing!! I would recemend this site to anyone wanting an outdoor wedding and a beautiful reception site just feet away.

Not sure if it was the vendors fault but the shrimp we ordered for the cocktail hour was bad and the vendor through it out but adjusted the price graciously. Our guests said there was only one food item out for cocktail hour when we ordered three.

There were only two probles that went wrong.
1) what we discussed above.
2) We had our photographer print out table numbers out of our engagement photos to put on the tables. The vendor had seemed to misplaced the photos that were in the same bag as the table number holders, however, the number holders were used but the pics got lost!!! We were very disapointed.

Other than that the wedding was near perfect for us. We would still recommend Steele Canyon to anyone. Barry (the coordinator) is very open to ideas ( where you want the head table, etc) and very flexible.

FYI Brides- The bridal room is very small and bad air flow. It would be recommended that you get your hair and make-up done prior to arrival (like I did) I had 5 adults and 2 children in there at one time and it was crouded.

The venue is great for photos, make sure to explore the golf course as they permit because there are some hidden spots that are beautiful.

Everything was great until the day of the wedding. The bridesmaids and I went early to set up at about 10am for a 4:30pm wedding. When we had gotten there the place was still set up from a party the night before, there was trash in the reception room and all tables and floor were sticky and dirty. When we asked for it to be cleaned so we can get started setting up we were yelled at that they have an order of doing things and that was not next on the list. Because it took so long for them to clean, set up tables and chairs the outside area never got cleaned and mirrors were still dirty on the tables. We were extreamly rushed with only about two hours until guest arrived to start setting up. Being the bride I did not want to rush last minute but as the day turned out I was. Because we had to set up the reception area we did not get to take pictures before the wedding with all the girls together and I have about 50 or so candles that never got put out because guest were arriving and the tables never got cleaned. Pictures after the cermoney got taken but we were not allowed to go around the golf course for pictures nor did our photographers have a golf cart and once again we got yelled at because we were 15 minutes behind and didn't get to finish our pictures. Overall the venue is amazing but my family knew Steele Canyon when David was running everything and sadly enough its not as organized and great and it used to be.

I just recently had my wedding at Steele Canyon and Barry Rice was so plesant to work with. He responded to all of my questions in a timely mannor being that I was kind of a control freak I had lots to ask. I walked in the day of my wedding without a worry in my head the food was great & all of the guest really enjoyed the venue. The only thing I would recommend is if you have a big wedding I had 200 people you may want to do the Buffet to save time, but overall my husband and I had a very enjoyable expierence and I would I highly reccomend this to a new bride to be

This venue is beautiful and the staff was professional and responsive to our guests. The biggest complaint was that the food served at the wedding was not the quality we had sampled at our private food tasting. The steaks were overcooked, the halibut was baked not broiled as requested and the wrong salad dressing was served with our salad. This is the fault of the event director not the kitchen staff. The lighting in the ceiling was requested at the beginning of our planning, but it was not set up on the day of the wedding. The event director really dropped the ball. The venue and staff were outstanding and I would recommend this venue for your event just be sure to get detailed confirmation on everything you wanted and double and triple check everything.
