Great Wedding DJ!

We were so glad we got to work with Ray for our September 2024 wedding entertainment! He made us feel super comfortable and at ease about how the whole day would go. He is very professional and you can tell he really loves what he does! He did not miss a beat on the day of. He has a client portal where you can add songs that you want for each part of your wedding which made it super easy for us to get all our choices to him, and on the day of not a single thing went wrong. All the right songs were played, all parties were introduced correctly, he truly made it seamless and was so fun. I would highly recommend him for any wedding or event you may have coming up. It was a pleasure to work with him!

Ray was great!

We are so happy we worked with Ray for our wedding! He was such a professional and worked great with our coordinator and other vendors to ensure the entire event moved smoothly. We had a lot of dancers at our reception and Ray kept everyone on the dance floor. He even squeezed in some special songs that my husband and I love that weren’t typical wedding selections and accommodated some last minute requests from our families. Thank you Ray!

Amazing and magical

Steel Impressions was wonderful with our wedding a few weekends ago. I booked them kind of last minute and they really blew me away. They did everything as requested and really made everything come together. Even though I requested not your traditional wedding music everything was seamless. Will definitely be contacting them in the future.

MUST have for your wedding day!

Ray at Steel Impressions was recommended to me by my venue, and initially I was not planning to hire a DJ for my wedding. But I am so glad I did! After talking with Ray and seeing how easy he was to work with and the value he offered, I knew it was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Ray was very responsive and answered any of my questions or concerns quickly and put my mind at ease. He has a cool portal to use to add your own requests and special songs with a huge library to choose from or you can add your own! The music was one of the most important things to me on my day, and I worked hard on just we wanted. He had dance lighting and cake lighting and it just looked and felt like such a well put together event with the addition of his services. Ray delivered big! Our day was so special and so much fun! Thank you Ray for all you did to make that happen!!!

The Absolute BEST Wedding DJ

Ray was outstanding in every way. He pre-wedding planning process was easy and SO helpful. We were able to give him a layout of songs and genres that we liked and he made such a great night of dancing out of us. Ray and additional staff did a wonderful job with our wedding and reception!! Ray was super communicative, helpful, and friendly ahead of the wedding and such an expert on the day itself. Ray was superior! Due to the pandemic, we had to move the wedding date three times and Ray moved with us seamlessly! He meticulously helped Ashley and Nathan pick music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dance. He had people up and dancing throughout the night. He kept the crowd energized. Your wedding DJ/Emcee truly shapes the whole wedding experience

Ray did our wedding, cocktail hour, and reception. He was very responsive, very affordable, and VERY easy to work with. He helped walk us through the process of selecting songs, lighting, and which equipment would work best for our space and our guests. Extremely personable and professional DJ!

Ray has been such an ease to work with! Unfortunately with COVID pushing us to reschedule multiple times and most recently to a date he was already booked, we were unable to have him officially DJ our wedding. HOWEVER through the year+ we were contracted with him, he was SO easy to work, so professional and on top of all details, we wanted to write him a review anyway. Such a friendly guy and his personality is awesome - just what you want in a DJ! When we rescheduled he did as much as he could to provide us with solid recommendations of contacts he had already vetted for our new date availability. Can't recommend him enough, just wish he could have been our DJ in the end!

Perfect DJ for a Perfect Night

Ray was excellent. My husband and I couldn’t decide on 1 song for our first dance so Ray custom made One for us which mixed the 2 songs together.
We also picked many songs that he didn’t already have but found them easily.
The motion monogram on the wall also added a nice touch to the night.
Ray kept the night going according to the timeline which we approved prior to the night.

Steel Impression was our chosen DJ for our wedding this past Saturday. AMAZED. Just not enough words.

Ray made our day perfect. We got married in the middle of COVID-19 and had to make some changes but Ray stayed helpful and supportive throughout the entire process. His communication is unmatched. Every question I had was answered usually within minutes. He even came to our rehearsal, which was totally unexpected. He was so interactive and fun with our guests, we got many compliments! The lighting, the music, the equipment, the energy.. do yourself a huge favor and hire Ray.

My husband and I are beyond thankful that we found Ray to be apart of our magical wedding!! Ray was so professional and easy to work with from start to finish. The night after we met Ray, we knew we found the perfect DJ!! It was extremely easy to navigate the Steel Impressions website and we were able to add music and change anything we wanted up until a few days before the wedding. So wonderful!

Ray was wonderful to work with! He met with me to talk about the event and get all the details he needed. The website is very easy to use and allowed us to list all the songs we wanted and those we did not want as well! I sent him a ton of information on our timeline and he did such an amazing job to help things go smoothly on our big day. We were running late on some things and Ray quickly adjusted the timeline to ensure a great event. He did amazing playing music during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He also helped me plan a surprise for the groom flawlessly!! He also offers fun lighting and can have a monogram display! I highly recommend working with Ray for anyone looking for a DJ!

Best Steel Pan Drummer, Great Entertainer

Although we didn't hire him for a wedding, he is such a great performer! Well worth the money! We hire him every year because our residents simply love him! Interacts great with our elderly clientele and brings a great atmosphere to the party. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

BEST Night of Our Lives

5 stars isn’t enough for Ray and Steel Impressions Entertainment. If there is one thing my husband and I can’t stop talking about, it was how beautiful the lighting and atmosphere was at our wedding. It was hands down the best night of our lives and without Ray, it would not have been the same. He’s a FANTASTIC DJ, but I think what really sets him apart from anyone else is how brings an entire room to life with his lighting and visions. He’s attentive, responsive, and so easy to work with. Where to start....

RAY IS ABSOLUTELY HANDS DOWN THE BEST DJ EVER! He made my wedding a night to remember. I planned my own wedding with my roommate and ray made it that much more stress free. He knows what he’s doing y’all. I didn’t even have to tell him what songs to play, he just feels the crowd and rolls with it. I can’t reccomend him enough.

We also decided literally 2 days before the wedding to do a funny first dance mash up and he MADE the mashup within a couple of hours and got it to me ASAP so we can practice it with the music, like WHAT. His adaptability is unreal.

Wedding went perfect!!

We just used Steel Impressions Entertainment on Saturday for our wedding. The ceremony and reception was DJ'd and it went without a hitch. We also played games and our guests at the wedding just raved at how much fun they had. He played a huge variety of music and guests anywhere from 2yrs old- 85 yrs old had a blast! I was crazy impressed with the amount of professionalism and all I did is gave him a vision and Ray went above and beyond to ensure our special day was perfect. He was incredibly easy to work with and we loved him! So glad we chose to have Steel Impressions do our wedding. Would recommend a million times!

Outstanding DJ!

I could not be happier with our experience with Steel Impressions! Incredibly professional and accommodating. Ray really went above and beyond to work with our eclectic wedding playlists and really dug deep to get some hard-to-find tunes. I only wish we could give more than 5 stars. He made our wedding an absolute blast!!

Awesome DJ

Ray gave us the tools to create our own wedding playlist. He was able to modify a song for walking down the aisle, conducted phone calls to make sure we were making progress and ensured we had all the answers we needed. He provided us with two separate sound systems, one for our wooded ceremony and the other for the reception. I even got to do the Wobble with him as he helped our guests get the footwork right. Ray was a lot of fun and helped make our day run smooth. Hire Steel Impressions if you don't want to have to worry about your timeline- he's got it handled!

Could not have asked for a better DJ than Ray with Steel Impressions! From the start of planning to the day of, he made all of our ideas come to life! Without him and his equipment/timeline he drew up for us, our wedding experience just wouldn’t have been the same. He is truly so easy going and so easy to get in contact with, I would definitely recommend him to all future and current brides who are looking for a DJ!

Ray was awesome helping us plan our wedding! Once we turned in all our music he sent us the timeline and everything worked out wonderfully... He even text me the night before just to make sure everything was ok and we didnt need anything else. After the ceremony he kept the guests entertained and everything on schedule. All my guests keep complimenting us on our DJ and want to hire him in the future. I mean we did the train to "Friends in Low Places" we were having so much fun. And Not to mention he took video on his personal cell phone to send to us after we were married.. If I could give him 100 star rating I would!

So sorry for the delay here its been crazy getting back since the honeymoon. I really appreciate everything you did to help make our day great. Music was a hit and people had a freaking blast. Ray (Steel Impressions) was our DJ/lighting expert at our wedding this past weekend, and he was awesome! He kept the party going all night, and his lighting set the mood perfectly. He even created a special dance floor monogram for my husband and me as a surprise, and he sent us video footage of our ceremony/reception (which was extra generous to us because we didn't hire a videographer).

Ray is the best. Seriously. Book him!

Our personal experience, both sides of our families aren't big into dancing; why do we need a DJ? Well I'll tell you why... because the additonal lights and customized monogram that Ray set up for us look amazing in photos. So worth it! He went out of his way to customize the introductions for our groomsmen just how we wanted them and was very helpful with song selection. You will not be disappointed with Ray as your DJ.

Awesome DJ service! They kept our whole wedding flowing perfectly from start to finish! Ray was awesome to work with before and during the wedding. He stayed in contact with me for months before the wedding to make sure I had everything I needed/wanted DJ wise for our big day! If I could give 10 starts I would! Ray was the DJ at my son's wedding. Before the wedding, he heard the groomsmen practicing for a dance they wanted to do during the reception. He had it cued and ready to go before they even asked. The playlist was awesome. There was a variety of songs to satisfy both the 20 year olds and those in their 50's, like myself. Great job!

Ray with Steel Impressions was a pleasure to work with for our wedding. My husband and I have high expectations with sound quality, I'm a stage manager and my husband is a sound technician, and Ray was very understanding of our expectations. We planned our wedding from California, we held our wedding in NC to have it closer to family, and Ray' s open and honest communication made the process a lot less stressful. He was so flexible with amusing some of the timeline around when we needed to take photos and what guests were doing. His improvisation between what was happening next, and his communication on gathering guests to the dance floor for dancing, bouquet toss and toasting was impeccable! His music suggestions and ability to read the atmosphere for music changes based on our guests as they came and went was amazing. There were quite a few songs for our wedding that Ray did not have in his library at the time (my husband and I love video game music) but Ray did a great job of finding or requested music and making it work! Thank you Ray for all of your help in keeping the party going and us on track to do all the things we asked as part of our wedding timeline! Ray was selected as our DJ as part ood the all inclusive package we purchased through Friends Farm, and we are so thankful to have had him. Ray really put the personal touches on our special day and exceeded all our expectations for personalizing our weirdly nerdy/traditional day!

Ray was AMAZING! He was engaging with my family and friends, and made our wedding very special. He was intuitive and figured out very quickly what our style is. Ray was fantastic to work with, through the initial contact, booking, planning and the night of our events! He did a great job with working within our budget for our two-night corporate holiday parties. The music was top notch and he got our crowd out on the dance floor, even joining the guests for line dances. He kept the party going all night long! Ray also did a great job with helping us keep our timeline in place and announcing door prizes throughout the night. He was able to find the perfect time to briefly break in the music to take care of these housekeeping items. If that wasn't enough, let me tell you about the job that he did with the lights! We had a very nice venue to begin with but, honestly, it was a hotel ballroom - pretty but not very interesting! Ray used his lighting wizardry to transform the space. I heard rave reviews all night long about how great the room looked! I would not hesitate to book Ray again for any event that I have to plan!

There is so many great things i can say about Steel Impressions. Ray is a very professional DJ who helped us more than we could of imagined. We didn’t have a coordinater for the wedding and he stepped in and made our lives so much easier. We didn’t give him a playlist and he killed it with the choices of songs from start to finish. We chose Steel Impressions for our daughter's wedding. What a wise choice. Raymond was outstanding in every way. He immediately faced a challenge because the ceremony was being held 300 yards from the nearest power source. No problem for Raymond as the entry and exit music chosen by my daughter for the ceremony was on time and at the right sound level. During the reception, the music and the lighting were perfect. He kept the attendees entertained, engaged and easily transitioned from introductions to wedding toasts to "it's party time". If you are looking for a DJ, for whatever occasion, Steel Impressions is the place to go. All you have to do is tell them what you want and Raymond makes it happen flawlessly, with no problems and no worries. Thanks Steel Impressions for a job well done.

Ray worked our reception from start to finish and it was a LONG reception. He was our lighting person and set up a fantastic mood for the party in the ballroom with colored lights to match our theme. He played the steel drums which were really, really cool at the outdoor cocktail hour. He was also our DJ for the rest of the reception. We loved it! Couldn't have asked for a better DJ or a better party lighting.

Ray was absolutely awesome to work with! I attended a wedding that he DJ'd at and I knew I had to have him for mine. After getting his contact information, he talked with me for 20+ minutes and went through all his package had to offer and answered any questions I had. He met with my fiance and I half way between our cities the next week to answer further questions we had. From day one, his communication was great and I love the online portal to input all our songs, timeline, and bridal party information. Weeks before the wedding he contacted me to go through our timeline and ask if I had any further questions for him and we spent a good hour on the phone. The day of the wedding, he met with my bridal party to go through the line up for the reception and make sure he pronounced all the names correctly. He made the playlist based off of my requests and it turned out AMAZING. We've had so many compliments from our guests and he kept the party going all night! He accepted requests from our guests, led line dances, allowed my friends to take the mike and went along with our best men/maid of honor's crazy speeches. I cannot say anything but positive things about Ray and you will not be disappointed! BEST PARTY EVER.

They did awesome at our wedding in June. It was in a barn and I was worried about the sound in there but they worked it all out perfectly. I didn't even know they'd arrived - he was set up and ready to go long before the ceremony and I didn't have to worry about a thing! Called a few weeks before the wedding and worked everything out with me over the phone (since we live a while away) and sat and chatted with me about different things for quite a while to make sure everything was just the way we wanted it! Gave me some ideas about timeline as well and really knew exactly what kind of music we wanted played just by asking me a few questions. After our first conversation on the phone just for the inquiry, my new husband and I knew that's exactly who we wanted DJing our wedding.
Steel Impressions did an amazing job and I don't think my wedding day would've been as perfect without them!

Steel impressions did a wonderful job at my wedding! When rain was in the picture, the DJ helped to speed along the reception in a way that was still organized and fun for everyone. My husband and I were so impressed with their business. We would deffenitly recommend any of their services.

I am the Mother of the bride...Ray was awesome!! Very professional. His website is very accommodating and convenient as you pick your songs and make lists on line and they are updated immediately. He had several conversations with my daughter prior to the wedding to make sure they were on the same page. Some of her friends even "snuck" special toasts and he kept that a secret from both the bride and groom. Everything he promised ... happened. He kept the reception going and we were told by the venue and caterers that this was one of the funnest weddings they had worked at. As you know the DJ has a lot to do with keeping the fun and action going. I highly recommend Steel Impressions!! You get what you pay for!!

Ray the owner is absolutely amazing. He called 2 minutes after I submitted a request on wedding wire and talked me though everything. From the pricing, planning, and executing on the day of. He set me up with an account and I got to adding my songs and shared a link for my guests to add requests as well. As it got closer Ray spent an hour with me on the phone as we wrote out the plan for the evening. On the day of ray sent out my DJ Derek who was phenomenal. Derek texted me the night before to confirm the details. My complicated 4 songs for the ceremony went flawlessly. The dinner and cocktail music was perfect. Now the dancing. Derek kept everyone pumped up. While a lot of the music I requested he knew how to blend them and make the order make sense! He took my requests and would only take others with our approval. There was even a point where he let me grab the mike and sing along embarrassingly with my friends to a song. He kept me in the loop bug was not prodding at all! I could not have asked for a better DJ! Super nice and super talented. When I was trying to get a different crowd out on the dance floor he knew what to do with some Nirvana, Oasis, Def Leppard and more. Steel impressions is the absolute best. You can't go wrong with their attention to detail, dance lighting, ability to get people on the dance floor and affordableness!

Ray with Steel Impressions did my son's wedding ceremony and reception. He was a huge part in making the ceremony perfect, which was the most important part, but he also made sure that we had so much fun throughout the entire reception. The reception was small and it didn't matter if there were only 2 people or 10 people dancing because he made it a feel like a party the entire time. He's not only an amazing DJ, but he completely transformed a simple room into something so beautiful with all the lighting he put together. It was AMAZING!!!! I can't say enough positive words about Ray and Steel Impressions, but he was worth every penny and more! If you have a special occasion contact Steel Impressions....I promise you will NOT be disappointed!

When I met Ray two years ago at a friend's wedding, I knew he was going to be our DJ! Fast forward two years and we had an excellent wedding last weekend thanks to Ray with Steel Impressions Music DJs! Ray was great! He actually gets out on the dance floor to show your guests how to do line/group dances (Electric Slide, etc)! Ray always responded quickly and worked with us closely to have a seamless and fun wedding! He even created a cool video with his go-pro that was a great souvenir for the day! We would highly recommend Ray for your special event. He did an excellent job (and has a great announcer voice!) Having a great DJ is very important to make your day go smoothly.

Ray had excellent service. Very responsive before, during & after event. I highly recommend this DJ for all events. He MC'd great as well. The flow went great! The music had everyone out their seats! He played until we dropped literally!!

They know what they are doing and will be happy to do anything you want to help make your day smoother. They even got some additional video footage of wedding that was unexpected. I would use again, but hopefully that was my only wedding! ;) Thanks again guys!!!

Exceeded my expectations!! You deserve 10 stars for the service you provided for my daughters wedding!! From the moment I contacted you about preparing a surprise slideshow for the guests to watch during the reception, you put me at complete ease with everything! You gave me several options to choose from and you made the moment magical! You went out of your way to purchase the necessary equipment and took time to design a customized monogram for the screen, not to mention working with me via FaceTime for a sneak peek! The set up was great, music was perfect and you kept everyone moving and in celebration mode the entire evening! You are AWESOME!!

Ray with Steel Impressions was AMAZING! The setup and professionalism was top notch. He even joined us on the dance floor for a few Group dances! Our guests had so much fun on the dance floor thanks to Ray! The slideshow he put together for our reception was a perfect addition to our special day! Thanks again Ray!!!
