We couldn't be happier with our choice to have had Doug as our musician/DJ for our 2.17.24 wedding in Islamorada. Doug played his steel drums for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and then transitioned over to DJ for our reception.
We were really set on having a steel drum player as part of our wedding celebration, so when we found Doug and found out that he offered a package that combined his steel drum music and DJ skills, we were thrilled. We feel the cost was super reasonable for him to do both, when you compare the cost of having to hire a steel drum player and DJ separately.
Doug was always very communicative, reliable, and really set the tone for our whole evening. Many of our guests commented the night of, and even after the wedding on how great he was! Definitely one of our easiest vendors to have worked with.

Doug brought a different experience to an event I hosted. When I explained to him, my vision certainly went over and beyond to make my event a true success. He was full of laughter, very professional, and made our Tropical Theme surprise celebration to be more than what we could ever imagine. We will indeed recommend and use him again. There are no words to describe how incredibly happy we are with hiring Doug for our wedding! He is so talented and was so easy to work with. Doug played on the steel drums for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and then switched over to DJ'ing our reception. He made the whole music planning process so easy and was so accommodating to our requests.
We had so many of our guests ask how we found him and commented on how amazingly talented he was! Doug was such a pleasure to work with and we are so grateful to have had him be a part of making our day so special and memorable! -

Doug was fun, upbeat, professional and played every single song we asked for! He is very reasonable and can switch from drums at dinner to dancing afterwards! I would highly recommend him! -

Doug Walker pan playing and DJ provided wonderful music for son's wedding.
Doug Walker played a beautiful rendition of Canon in D for the Bridal Party entrance and Here Comes the Sun for The Bride walking the sandy beach isle. He gave us beautiful music for the sunset beach wedding and then kept everyone dancing during the reception. He was very attentive and responsive to the bride and groom requests. I have 3 more to marry off and will seek out his service first. -

We hired Doug to play the steel drums for our Key Largo welcome party to kick off our wedding weekend. He was so easy to communicate with, showed up on time and really wowed our guests with his talent and music selection. He honestly created the exact vibe we were hoping for to welcome all of our friends and family to the Keys. This was a 3x Covid postponed wedding, so having a reliable, easy to deal with person like Doug as one of our vendors was such a delight in an otherwise stressful process. He really set the tone for the whole weekend. -

Perfect for beach weddings
Not only is Doug a very talented musician, but he was super responsive with communication and very professional. He really set the tone for our beach front ceremony and cocktail hour. I highly recommend him! Sadly these are the only photos I have of him so far, but I will update this review once I have a better ones. -

Steel Drummer for Wedding
Doug was amazing! He came highly recommended by a company that was already booked for our date. We wanted a steel drummer for our ceremony/cocktail hour ( 2 hours in total) and Doug was very responsive and was happy to step in! He did a walk through of the venue prior to our wedding with our planner/coordinator to ensure he knew exactly where he should plug in his equipment and make for a smooth wedding day. We didn’t care what music he played (we let him decide), but he did offer to play anything we wanted. He even dressed in our wedding colors! During the cocktail hour, the music selection he chose was fun, fresh, and recognizable tunes. We also loved that he only required a $100 deposit to save our date. We held a small wedding with 30 people but all of the guests loved him. I would absolutely hire him again if I was in need of a steel drummer! -
