Jeff was amazing. He arrived early to set up and continued to play even after the wedding ended. He worked with my girlfriend who sang me down the aisle. He was highly recommended to me from a friend and I recommend him.

Great Jeff was fantastic

I hired Jeff for my daughter’s wedding. Jeff was on time, and set up before I arrived. Jeff made the wedding memorable!!! Jeff had me dancing from the time he started until the last dance. We enjoyed the whole afternoon!! Thank you Jeff for everything!!

Jeff was a lifesaver at our wedding. He was an excellent DJ with a large selection of music. We were so busy and overwhelmed that we didn't get a chance to go over music selections, but Jeff was able to figure out exactly what to do. He played classy music during the dinner service, and then ramped things up afterwards to get people to the dance floor. He also help enormously with our slideshow presentation. We had a problem getting the AV system to play music out of the laptop. The hotel couldn't figure out, so Jeff brought up his own speaker and plugged it into the laptop. We couldn't have made it work without him. Thanks so much Jeff!

Jeff did a great job dj my sons bar mitzvah. I supplied him a song list and he played everything, got everyone on the dance floor was great to work with and very reasonable priced

I thought working with this vendor was going to be great. Jeff's response time was great until the day drew closer. I found myself emailing him back to back to make sure my first initial email was received. The day of the wedding I can say the ceremony music was fine. When it came time for the reception, he lacked personality. He didn't pump up our guest, he seemed to have a nasty attitude the whole night and it seemed like he just did not want to be there. My guest even noticed and kept questioning where did we get our DJ. It was embarrassing. We had an entire playlist made out that we spent a lot of time on and he played maybe 10 songs from the list.

We also rented the photo booth from him and the picture quality was horrible. The guest had fun, but for our wedding we were not expecting such grainy quality photos. The album they put together looked tacky and cheap. The assistant Jeff had was there for maybe 1 1/2 hrs and then later we found him sitting in the corner of room on the rug.

I would not recommend this vendor, sad to say.

Sketchiest company I've ever dealt with. He apparently sends really cheap quotes to the customer and then negotiates with other vendors on the back end I guess. That's fine, but don't tell me "Tom" is going to be my photo booth person and then send someone completely different (from an entirely separate company). It ended up working out with the photo booth, but unfortunately, cut to 7 months later and he charges me $150 randomly with no explanation. I called immediately and he told me he would "reverse the charges" without even getting my contact information. I had to contact my credit card company, submit a dispute, and get a new card number. What a hassle! I would definitely go with a different company.

Update:
Jeff eventually sent me proof that the charges were reversed, but of course I do not want to deal with a mistake like this again! I would save yourself the risk and go with another company.

Hi everything leading up to the event was very professional, the day of however was a completely different story, they came with no step and repeat, said his vendor made a mistake, the quality of the photobooth was awful, I asked if he could adjust and they said they did and it was still blurry and burned out, when I asked again he made it seem as if there was nothing wrong. I was with the DJ up to 45 min prior to the event started. We over the timeline and type of music and karaoke - about 45 minutes into my event he starts demanding the balance of the payment while I am with my guests. Then disputes the payment for the step and repeat. Once he cleared that up instead of playing music off talking to Jeff, he then finds me once I finally sit down to eat and demands the balance. Let me not get started on the horrible playlist he choose to play! Very unprofessional and when I followed with Jeff he never responded to my email.

Contacted them about a DJ

Contacted this company after Jeff had responded to my inquiry seeking a DJ. I shared with them what I was looking for briefly and they said they needed to call me right back and never called back. Called them back and no answer. Not quite sure what happened.

Worst DJ experience ever

Hired his company this past weekend, Feb 2023. Worst experience ever. Would never ever recommend. Foolish me for not vetting him more throughly. At least none of my guests will forget the horrible.DJ at my party

The music played was ok, and we had a good time, but we were extremely unhappy that Jeff violated our contract, and on top of that refused to give a refund that he had promised. It was a partial refund to make up for him not delivering a service we paid for. He was responsive at first but then ignored my emails and texts, blocked me from calling him from 3 different numbers! It took 6 months and a third party to get our refund.

DO NOT HIRE!! We hired him for a photo booth and 360 photo booth for a school dance. He cancelled the day before the event! I am still waiting on my refund!!! He has not returned any of my phone calls or texts. When we hired him he was adamant about getting deposit immediately but we had to pay him in check because that's how my school operates. When the check finally came through he went to the Board of Ed. office to pick it up in person. As previous people have said he's a SCAM artist who is looking to get paid but not render services.

Avoid at all costs

We hired Jeff as a DJ for a sweet 16. He never made any mention of the fact that he subcontracted everything out. We hired a DJ and a Photo Booth. 10 minutes AFTER they were supposed to be there Jeff texted to inform us the Photo Booth would not be coming and the DJ would be 30 minutes late. He also refused to give us the DJ phone or give the DJ our number. He also refused to talk to us on the phone because “he was out of State” he promised he would be back on Tuesday and refund money. This was two weeks ago and so far he has only refunded a third of what was promised and and we are now being told the remainder will be refunded in 2-3 weeks. He goes by multiple names for his company and owes a lot of DJ and other entertainers money! FIND ANYONE ELSE!

Warning: Rip off DJ (DO NOT USE!! )

DJ Jeff is horrible! Never came to do my wedding sent a total other DJ who asked for my number but Jeff didn't give it to him. Also sent an inexperienced MC. Kept asking for money (should have been red flag) never called to review playlist (2nd red flag) new DJ was unprofessional wanted to play his own songs, MC introduced my party names incorrectly. My ceremony songs played were incorrect. At our reception, our choreographed dance songs were incorrect too. Sad to say I didn't enjoy our reception.No lights n no dancing on clouds which I paid for. Please learn from my mistake save ur money! A DJ makes your wedding, never go cheap bcuz u get what u pay for! Learn from my mistakes. He never even offered an apology. No remorse.RUN! After reading his reviews, I'm mad at myself for not digging deeper into his background. Please heed my warning or you will take him to court like I have and he hasn't shown twice! Shows his guilt and unprofessional work ethic. He has none! Apparently he gets off on ripping people off! Terrible person.

Disgraced scam alert dj company, dj jeff and co.

DJ Jeff is a disgrace and should be in jail for all the vendors and clients he has scammed hundreds of thousands of dollars from. He is a compulsive liar and will take your money however he can, stay away, he should be in jail! What a disgrace to the dj community!

COMPLETE SCAM!!!!! We booked a photo booth for a school event through Starpower DJs and Jeff was hassling me for full payment before the event. The morning of the event he said his brother was ill and he was going to Florida and could not make it to the event. He cashed the check for the event before the event and it has been over 15 days since our event and he is still coming up with excuses to not pay us back the money we gave him for the event. Jeff is a crook!

I am filing a complaint against Starpower DJ’s and principal Jeff Haber (aka Heart) addresses listed 253 Longwood Dr., Manalapan, NJ, 07726, and 31 East Main St., Freehold, NJ (this could be a postal drop box), for credit card fraud.
In December 2016, I hired Starpower DJ’s for a party at American Legion Post 401, 148 Major Rd., Monmouth Junction, NUJ 08852, paying by credit card on December 1, 2016, as shown on my January 2017 statement.
In checking my February statement I found three unauthorized charges from Starpower DJ’s for no services rendered nor with my permission on 1/3/2017 for $150; 1/5/2017 for $175; 1/9/2017 for $100.
These fraudulent charges were immediately reported to Chase and they are investigating. I noticed the charges because I check my statement every month. How many others has Jeffrey Haber perpetrated this fraud upon who did not check and he got away with it?
In checking, Haber has had other fraudulent dealings, many in 2008 when he, doing business as Jeffrey Heart DJ’s and Metro Event Group, defrauded customers and the djs he hired to work for him (check Ripoff Report).
If he would knowingly try to defraud an honorably discharged veteran, his scruples would make ripping off anyone okay.
His dealings should be investigated and exposed, and he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

He kept calling me and told me I need to make a deposit to secure the date since he had been quickly booking dates. He emailed me the contract. I told him I needed him to fill out the venue application. He failed to complete the application and when I requested my full refund he refused to do so. He is a scam artist!! I wish I didnt have to give him half a star. I’m heart broken. We’re on a budget and we've got 4 kids in our family. Every dollar counts!! This man is horrible he has blocked my phone number! I’m going to be contacting the local authority!

The guy is seriously a scum and a scammer! Takes your deposit money doesn’t show up! Check out help me Howard where a mom went to his house with the camera crew to get back her 15 yr old daughters deposit money which he took never showed up or answered the phone. Told them he couldn’t return the money until his social security check came in. Hmmm wonder if SS knows he’s stealing people’s money and not reporting it to them. Perhaps they should be notified of his scam!

I don't even like giving this company or DJ Jeff 0.6 stars. I wish I could just give him a 0 as he backed out on our school event the morning before our carnival and has not returned our money.
We hold an annual carnival at our school in May for the students, their families and the local community. It is an event supported by the PTO as a fun day to get together with friends and families.
I booked Jeff in January and the PTO paid him in full and signed a contract with him following the booking as per his request.
I called him the week before the carnival to ask a few final questions and confirm that we were still on for Saturday. Jeff told me he was in the hospital, but we were good for Saturday and he had employees that were going to handle our event.
He then called me Friday morning to cancel. The day before our event and left us stuck without a DJ. He told me he was having emergency surgery, which I do not believe, but would return our check for the full $350 on Monday.
I have called him a couple times a week since then. He makes an excuse about why he hasn't returned the check during every phone call. The last time we talked he said he was "shocked" we hadn't gotten the check and would follow up on it and get back to me. I have called him 3 times since then and haven't gotten anywhere.
I was able to secure another DJ late in the day before our event. He was a lifesaver and was great with our kids and families.
We had to pay him for his services and so we paid for 2 DJs and only had the one decent enough to show up.
I will continue to get our $350 back for our school, but it looks grim. It is a shame that anyone out there would keep money for services they didn't provide. It is wrong to do it to anyone, but even worse to keep $ from a school. That $350 should go back to our students.
Jeff has lied over and over and I would not recommend hiring him for any type of party you are planning.

HORRIBLE PERSON!!! Who bails on a 8yr olds communion party 2 hours before the event?! We had contracted Jeff Hatbor to do the photo booth for my daughters party. The weather just happened to be bad that day, an unusual rainstorm in May. Called 2hrs before the party to tell us his photobooth and equipment had been stolen the night before. Later, admitted the truth, he just didn't feel like going out in the rain and since it wasn't a big money making job so he'd just blow it off and disappoint my poor daughter who was beyond upset, it was the highlight of a kids party! Despite his low prices, not worth the worry on if he'll even show up!!! It took several calls to get our deposit back and although he said he'd throw in a restaurant gift card, we knew that wasn't happening...and to live up to his standards, It didn't!

I don't know how this person Jeff lives with himself. Wedding wire should call him from their list of vendors immediately. We should have read these negative reviews before agreeing to work with him. Jeff hired our photo booth company at the last minute promising to meet us at the venue to pay this never happened. He made up some excuse and insisted he was going to mail us a check which also never happened. Stay away from this guy and his company. Is I repeat he should be removed from wedding wire immediately as I'm sure they do not want people like Jeff represented on their site....

Jeff is a scam artist ! He asked our DJ photo booth company to work his event! We came early like we always do set up and give 100 percent. Jeff has still not paid us for the event !!! His voicemail box is full. There are plenty of other companies he has screwed. Many have filed in small claims court which we will be doing as well! Do not use this company he is fraud !!!

My DJ company is Bridge Musico. On the day before the prom for Burlington Township HS, he called me saying he needed a DJ and two photo booths. I was able to rework our schedule to accommodate him and the school. He was paid by the school but never paid me. Apparently reading other reviews, this is the way Jeff Hager and his company Star power DJs do business. He also cancelled me hours before another event in Bridgewater.

CREEP! Would not stick to the playlist, rolled his eyes when people would request songs. Was unable to "read" the crowd and understand volume control. And, to top it off, brought his wife who was not a guest and pigged out all night. Very unprofessional and I wasn't even the host who he was unavailable to talk to and disappeared weeks leading up to the event. Very strange person who should not be allowed at special occasion events. I cringe at the thought of him being at children's parties.

AVOID....SCAM ARTIST...I hired Star Power DJ's for my daughter's Sweet 16 that was on May 13, 2017. I paid half the money on 2/12/17 to hold the date and the remainder of the balance on 4/1/17. The day of the party less than an hour before the event was starting and after the photo booth person did not arrive I asked the DJ to contact him and he stated that the photo booth person's equipment got flooded out. With that he promised to return the portion of the money that was for the photo booth service that he did not provide and would mail a check out immediately. I waited a week and when I did not receive the check I called Jeffrey Haber (the owner) and he stated that he had a family emergency and would look into it that Monday when he returned home and would call me. Call after call and promise after promise that the check was mailed nothing came. HE NEVER REFUNDED MY MONEY BACK AND HE RUINED MY DAUGHTER'S SWEET 16. MEMORIES WE COULD NEVER GET BACK. A LAWSUIT IS BEING FILED

Hired Jeff to do my daughters Sweet 16, he sent out a dj he contracted who showed up late, he did not play any of the songs on my daughters list, music was too loud we had to ask him many times to turn it down, especially during dinner, no giveaway as promised, he did not know my daughters name kept saying that girl, microphone did not work properly, he did not announce dinner hour like asked, he did not announce father daughter dance like asked or play song when he was asked to, he did not announce the ceremony, while she was doing her speech the microphone went in and out. During party I emailed Jeff with my displeasure and his response we will talk tuesday, THREE days after her party. I emailed him several times, nor did he call, his short responses was very unprofessional. Requested half my money back which he said he will do and a month later still nothing. Very unprofessional. A special day for a girl who only turns 16 once and his lack of care is a disgrace.

I write this review not as a customer but a service provider. Jeff Haber requested my services as a DJ for a Halloween party he booked through his agency. He told me I would pick up $100 at the event and he would send me the balance after the event that following week. He never paid me the balance he owed me. He promised he would mail the payment out at least 4 times and never did. Also that he would meet me to deliver it and also never did. Again, I write this review so all prospective customers that might consider his services know what kind of unscrupulous, greedy and underhanded individual he is. It seems he treats his customers the same way he treats his providers based on his reputation here online. He is a disgraceful and shady individual and I implore anyone considering his services to stay away.
