We are so happy we booked Alex for our wedding. He was organized, patient, and made sure we all laughed and danced the entire night. We had several guests ask where he was from, so they could use him in the future. He does a great job reading the room and making sure everyone is having a blast. We would book him again ten times over! -

Grateful and Absolutely Thrilled with our experience! I hired Alex for our daughter's wedding. I cannot say enough of how fun, organized, professional, and genuinely kind he was! I was just amazed with all the details my daughter told me about while she was planning the day with Alex. He did not disappoint! He made the evening what it was! Perfection! We had so many wedding guests come up to us and tell us it was the best wedding dance they had been to. So many positive things to say about Alex. He has the best qualities for being a DJ - great choice in music, charisma, detail oriented, planner, great at getting back to you right away, listens to what you want, takes requests, and so creative! Nothing negative to say about him! Anyone who hires Alex for their events will be absolutely pleased and grateful they did!

Alex is awesome. I really wish he could have dj our wedding but due to the pandemic we had to cancel our reception. I have been to a wedding where Alex was the DJ. He keeps the crowd entertained and so fun. I would recommend him to anyone -

So much fun
Alex with Starlight Sounds was amazing for our wedding dance! He kept the crowd dancing and entertained all night. I got so many compliments on my choice of DJ! Alex had so many great tips for us while planning. He’s great to work with and is so professional. -

Entertaining!!
Alex was so entertaining! He kept our guests entertained as we mingled! He had so many great ideas and our guests are still raving about him and how much fun they had! He made our ceremony personal with music and had the men wear microphones so everyone could hear (outdoor wedding)

Best DJ in Southern MN!!
From the day we met Alex (Starlight Sounds) we knew we had nothing to worry about for our Reception! Alex is thee most down to earth, professional, fun, outgoing and knowledgeable DJ you could ever pick!
Alex has such unique and creative activities and ideas to bring to a wedding reception & dance! He involves everyone from toddlers to adults, and also gets out and dances as well! When we met with Alex, he mentioned things that we hadn’t even thought about- he goes above and beyond to make your wedding day remarkable, fun and memorable!
If you need a DJ, Alex with Starlight Sounds is your man!

James Sent on 06/23/2018Alex exceeded our expectations at our wedding. We felt that because of his presence, accommodation and ability to read the crowd he was the real deal. Don't let his age fool you because he killed it. We received many compliments from our guests about the DJ.
What impressed us the most was his ability to maintain bearing under pressure. Due to weather we had last minute changes that would prove to be inconvenient for any vendor. He was asked to take down all of his equipment and then have it set back up under a demanding time crunch. He kept his cool with the changes all while still managing the crowd. We highly recommend him! -

Kasey Sent on 06/01/2018Starlight Sounds was the perfect choice for our wedding day. When we initially started planning, we contacted Alex and he was able to meet with us in the next half hour. That was unexpected and awesome. We sat down and discussed wedding colors, theme, games, and our needs for the day. We didnt need any set up for the ceremony so, he was just given full control of our reception. Other than that one meeting. We just emailed after that since we lived out of town, but he did a great job communicating with us! As for the day of, I have no idea when he got in to set up, but he was ready for the guests for cocktail hour. Was very professional all night. Everything went off without a hitch. He played light music during cocktail hour and dinner, which the kids loved. He did a great job of keeping us on schedule, did a great job with our Shoe game, it was so fun. Sound quality was perfect. He played the songs we requested (and not the songs we didn't request) and kept the party going! We had brought party hats for the guests and put him in charge and he brought them out at just the right time. SS really helped our evening come to life. 10/10 would hire again.
