Outdoor Wedding

My daughter’s wedding at the St. Julien was amazing. We were lucky to have beautiful weather so the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner were all outside and then we went inside for the dancing and celebration! We had a plated dinner and they did a wonderful job of getting everybody served. The food was excellent. Our wedding planner worked with the St. Julien contact and together they did an excellent job keeping everything on track as planned.

Magical Wedding Experience at St. Julien Hotel & Spa

I had my wedding here last year and my husband and I had the most incredible experience!! The service and professionalism at the St. Julien Hotel is absolutely unbelievable. I look back and truly can’t believe how magical they made the entire weekend. I cannot recommend them highly enough as a wedding venue. Our guests were blown away by the venue as well. We look forward to spending many special visits and anniversaries here in the future! Thank you to Tamara and their entire incredible team!

Perfect Venue and Team

First the quality of the hotel and the backdrop of the Boulder Flatirons are perfect for hosting a romantic wedding and reception. What really made the difference for us was the staff that worked hand in glove with our wedding planner and made our day amazing. We cannot say enough good things about Ian, Gabby, Abby and Clancy. Each of them made us feel special and well cared for. They were thoughtful, caring and attentive and worked well together as a team and as a result we and our guests had an extraordinary experience!

Absolutely amazing.

Absolutely amazing. With covid-19 pandemic, I was very worried and stressed. We decided to have 25 people and the wedding was everything I could ever dreamed of. TIM IS AMAZING! His staff is amazing. The hotel is amazing.

Amazing venue & staff

While this wasn't an ordinary year, Tim and the team at St. Julien went above and beyond to make sure we had the day of our dreams. They took amazing care of us and made sure our guests were cared for, too. They were extremely flexible with us, given the "new normal" and I know Tim was working tirelessly behind the scenes to make the day special. We're so grateful we were able to safely have this time with our friends and family, and so much of it was because St. Julien's made it work for us. Thank you so much!

Wonderful Experience

The St. Julien was an incredible place to host our reception and spend our first night as a married couple. You cannot beat the location and the view. The food and drinks blew us away. It was truly more special than we could have ever imagined. Tim Gumm was extremely professional and was very flexible and willing to work with us even though we were planning on a short timeline during COVID. The staff at the St. Julien is amazing in every way. We loved the St. Julien and would recommend it to anyone.

Catered to our every need for our wedding

Beautiful outdoor wedding at the St Julien

An Absolutely wonderful experience with Tim and Amber at the St Julian. They both were so helpful, so genuinely invested in making our daughters wedding a beautiful event. Pre planning with Tim went so smoothly as he was always able to accommodate a meeting or phone call with us. He was so very helpful, professional and so sincere and kind. What a great guy and what a great wedding and dinner!

Incredible Experience - Would highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about the St. Julien hotel. We hosted two wedding events there (a cocktail hour and a brunch) and also had our room block there and stayed their our wedding weekend. They were incredibly accommodating and professional during the planning process, and went above and beyond to make our experience perfect. Once we were onsite at the hotel, their staff was incredible - so friendly, always asking what they could do to help to make our stay, and our guest's, even better. After working with multiple vendors and hotels I can say that the St. Julien was far and away the best part of our experience. They made everything easy and enjoyable, On top of that, the hotel is beautiful and all of our out of town guests loved the experience. They all kept commenting they want to come back and stay there. I would highly recommend working with the St. Julien on any event or wedding!

Above and beyond...

We had the most perfect wedding day at the St Julien Hotel. The venue was perfect, they were so flexible with our plan as we wanted to be outdoors if possible. Nicole had a whole indoor backup plan just in case (which we didn't need after all). The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and accommodating (one staff member initiated a game of duck-duck-goose with the kiddos at our ceremony during pictures to keep them entertained). Everyone went above and beyond to make our day perfect...and it was everything that we had hoped for. Thanks, Nicole and the St. Julien.

We love The St. Julien & Nicole!

Any of our ridiculous requests (like having froze for our signature drink) were met with excitement and anything that couldn’t be done always had a creative work around. Not only was Nicole (and the whole SJ team) incredibly organized, accommodating and helpful, they were were great partners to us throughout our entire planning process (side note- Dana who handles room accommodations is incredible). The lead up to the wedding was seamless but the entire weekend was PERFECT! Everyone was ON IT. All of our guests haven’t stopped talking about the hotel and how perfect the night was. If I could do this all over again, I wouldn't change a thing.

Best Wedding Experience EVER

All the usual stuff applies here for a great wedding experience- Phenomenal food, service, responsiveness, etc... Where Nicole and the St. Julien really shine is how much they care. They truly want YOU to have the wedding YOU want. I planned a very elaborate surprise for my wife that involved a piano being delivered to the ballroom, me playing, a professional pianist and singer. The surprise took about 20 minutes and I could not have planned it without the awesomeness of Nicole and her incredible staff. I could tell they were invested and wanted everything to go the exact way I wanted it too. They kept everything a secret and even had a back up story if my wife started asking questions. No request was too much for them. Truly amazing! 100% recommend St. Julien and Nicole 10 times out of 10.

Wedding Bliss at the St Julien Hotel & Spa

My husband and I moved to Boulder in 2014 and knew that we wanted to host our family and friends for a destination wedding when the time came. The St Julien was always at the top of our list because of its close location to everything special Boulder has to offer - restaurants, shops, hiking trails, nightlife, etc. The hotel is beautiful inside and out, and truly the best of Boulder! The rooms are modern and luxurious, the staff is friendly and attentive, the views overlooking the Flatirons are breathtaking, and the pool & spa facilities are delightful.

A few months before our big day, our original catering manager notified us that she was leaving and we'd be assigned to a new person. While I was slightly nervous about this change after all the planning we had already done with her (and knowing how close we were to the big day), the transition to our new catering manager, Nicole, was absolutely seamless! Nicole jumped right in without hesitation. We met to walk through all the previous decisions that had been made and to make sure we were on the same page moving forward. She is organized, thorough, professional, and so sweet!

Our wedding weekend was perfection! We shuttled guests to and from our ceremony at Sunrise Amphitheater, and had the cocktail hour and reception at the St Julien. It started raining right after the ceremony, so our cocktail hour had to be moved inside, but the team at the St Julien did their best to accommodate an outdoor cocktail hour right up to the last minute. We appreciated all their hard work shifting everything indoors quickly and quietly. Our guests didn't even really notice as they gathered in the lobby and enjoyed a few cocktails at the T-Zero Lounge while waiting.

The food at the St Julien is exceptional! Our guests are still talking about it to this day. Not only do they have a lot to choose from, but everything was prepared perfectly. My husband is a major foodie and they certainly surpassed his expectations.

If we could do it all over again, we would absolutely pick the St Julien! Thank you so much to the entire staff and especially to Nicole for making our wedding weekend so memorable! The little details did not go unnoticed and we are truly grateful for everything you did to ensure this was the greatest day of our lives!

Amazing wedding at the St. Julien

We had an amazing and magical wedding at the St. Julien. Nicole was truly magnificent with all of the planning and details. The food was wonderful from the hord'oeuvres to the food stations. Let me first off say that I never write reviews. Truly, never. But words can't begin to describe the amazing experience that the St. Julien created for us! Our wedding day exceeded my expectations in every capacity possible.

Nicole was PHENOMENAL to work with! She is so fun, flexible, and always looked out for us to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. A professional in every aspect of the word.

If you're looking for a venue that has fantastic food and beverage, gorgeous views, and a staff that will make your life so much easier, look no further. We received compliments from every guest about the delicious food and fantastic service. Perfect wedding site!

I have worked many venues in my ten years as a wedding planner and several were hotels. I have never experienced the professionalism and courtesy that they expressed towards my client as well as to all of us wedding professional. Nicole was absolutely amazing and the nicest person to work with there. She made the process for them and me very smooth and I cannot thank her enough. The staff was very professional and friendly and very easy to work with. The St. Julien is one of the most beautiful hotels and makes for an amazing location for a wedding. I can't wait to work there again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful place in Boulder to get married!

First Class Wedding Venue!

We got married at the St Julien in July of 2019 and can’t say enough good things about the event. Nicole was great to work with and made sure every question was addressed quickly and respectfully. The setting was fantastic and will be a memory we cherish for the rest of our lives. The food and drinks were exceptional and both food and bar service were top notch. Amazing and flawless experience with the St. Julien

Nicole, Tim, and the team at St. Julien were absolutely amazing. They were accommodating, and made us feel like family. The event went off perfectly, and all the minor details were given great attention. Staff was no short of incredible. Food was amazing and all our guests commented on how great all our food was. Bar service was tremendous. We even had our cake done by the St. Julien and their head baker baked the most amazing and tasty wedding cake. We would recommend anyone who is thinking of using the St. Julien, do not hesitate to have your wedding here. Many of our guests have called it the best wedding of all time. The St. Julien is 20/10 in my book!

The St. Julien as well as Nicole Coffield simply gave my husband and I the wedding of our dreams! Everything was absolutely FLAWLESS. We knew that the St. Julien would meet our expectations and that it would be the perfect venue to host our reception but little did we know they would exceed our expectations. From the punctual follow up, to the friendly staff I would highly recommended the St. Julien to anyone who is looking to have their wedding in Colorado. Nicole is consistent, punctual, friendly, and amazing to work with! At the beginning of our wedding planning, there were a few bumps in the road with a former catering manager but once Nicole stepped in and took over our experience was seamless. Weddings are not the easiest thing to plan, but we had an amazing team assisting us throughout it all and honestly Nicole and our wedding planner delivered the best day of our lives. Nicole’s sense of caring really showed and she takes pride in what she does! This meant a lot to us.

Amazing venue, attentive staff

We just had my daughter's wedding at the St. Julien. Over 200 guests -all from New York -who came to celebrate with us spent 5 days at the property.
While I am giving the hotel 5 stars I would give it 10 stars if Yelp would let me. Here's why:

-The team, led by Tim and Nicole, were outstanding. They were organized; accommodating and highly professional. A pleasure to work with.
-Planning an out of town wedding can be tough-St Julien made it easy.
- The venue is perfect for a wedding. Our ceremony faced the mountains, providing our guests with a memorable experience. The cocktail hour was outside and beautiful. The reception was in the main ballroom and worked perfectly.
-The lobby is a great place to hang out and socialize and gave our guests a comfortable place to be in between activities and especially at night after dinner. Live music, drinks and the fireplace all added to the experience.
-The rooms and hotel amenities were perfect.

If you are planning a wedding I would highly recommendation that you check out the St Julien and all that Boulder has to offer.

For our family and friends, the wedding was a memorable and magical experience we will never forget.

Perfect wedding location

We chose the St. Julien for our wedding ceremony and reception. I looked at so many venues from Denver to Boulder and beyond, and I'm so happy we chose the St. Julien. Every detail was perfect. WOW. I am not sure where to start with my review of the St. Julien Hotel - everything was perfect!

We were engaged for 18 months and chose the St. Julien right away. So, for 18 months we inundated Alisha (Social Catering Manager) with e-mails and phone-calls, particularly as the big day approached, she always took the time to help us emerge from moments of panic feeling calm, focused and reassured. She went the extra mile on all questions/concerns/requests and made us feel like she completely understood our vision.

The day of our wedding was incredible because we didn't have to worry about anything. The staff at the St. Julien worked so seamlessly with our other vendors, it gave us the opportunity to relax and enjoy our day. From handing out welcome bags when guests checked in, to making sure we saw the ballroom first and had a drink and time to eat, to calming my nerves right before I walked down the aisle, to the presentation and quality of dinner – Alisha and her team had amazing attention to detail and their professionalism/customer service was exceptional.

We would highly recommend the St. Julien Hotel, Alisha, and all the staff. Everything felt so personal and dedicated to us, devoted to making our day as amazing as it could be. Thank you again for making our special day so perfect, your stunning venue and ability to turn our dreams into reality has left us with the most magical memories of the best day of our lives.

I have been a wedding/event planner since 1999, and have worked with many wonderful venues and catering managers. Alisha Ricks-Sturgill is among the best! She is wonderful to work with; responsive at getting back; and always willing to go the extra mile to help. I loved working at this venue and with Alisha. Our experience was terrific.

This is one of the most important reviews one can make. I't's once-in-a-lifetime you can plan the wedding of our daughter.
Alisha was brought as our major hotel vendor over 1.5 yrs ago. In that time, my daughter's fiancé had a stroke. Every vendor except one was not only responsive, but quick to offer anything they could above and beyond. Alisha was our godsend. Her professionalism, communication, promptness, class and overall maturity and "zen" was simply wonderful. She truly saved us from not only that, but from a wedding planner who quit just weeks before (Pam Zola Weddings took over and best decision we could have made.) I would say run, don't walk to secure the St. Julien team as top notch but with Alisha, you get everything promised and more. You get heart and soul. We will truly miss working with her but thank her forever for how she took care of this day for our joined families to share in decades to come. Thank you, Alisha!

My new husband and I could not have been happier with the St. Julien as our wedding venue. The entire staff was always helpful and ready to assist with anything we needed. Our suit was perfect, with beautiful views of the Flatirons. Alisha worked with us through this entire process and could not have been more professional and a please to work with. We now plan to make it our anniversary stay every year.

The St. Julien made sure our wedding day was absolutely perfect! The service for our guests and for my husband and I was incredible! They made sure our food stayed hot, that we got some our hors d'oeuvres and champagne, and were always enjoying our special day rather than scrambling to fix problems. Everything went so smoothly, it was like a dream.

I can’t say enough great things about our wedding at the St. Julien! We tried to do as much as we could through the hotel: food, cake, even hair and makeup at their spa. You really can’t beat the location and how accessible everything is from the hotel. Alisha was so much fun to work with and I looked forward to every meeting! The hotel really took care of our guests whether they were staying there or not! Everyone raved about the food! We offered a choice between filet mignon, salmon, and a mushroom streudel. The cakes (made by their Pastry Chef, Chelsea) were out of this world delicious! We had a wedding cake and a groom’s cake and they were more perfect than I could have ever imagined! The staff were absolutely wonderful and on top of everything! The spa is of course gorgeous and the women that helped beautify us (my bridesmaids and the moms) on the big day were fun and talented! Helena did my bridal makeup and she was a blast! Overall, we knew we were in great hands and our wedding day was absolutely perfect! Thanks to everyone at the St. Julien who helped make that possible!

From planning to execution day of, the St Julian was top notch. Alisha and her team were on top of every detail and the day could not have run more smoothly. Our guests could not stop commenting how good the food and dessert was. More important, everyone at the St Julian made us feel like it was our special day. Thank you all for making it such a wonderful day, not to mention the beautiful back drop of the Flatirons doesn’t hurt.

Best of the Best! Our wedding weekend was absolutely PERFECT "Thanks" to Alisha and her team at the St. Julien Hotel & Spa. The entire staff from the chefs to the estheticians at the spa, front desk staff and even the valets were kind, courteous and accommodating. The food, wine and cake were out of this world and if we had to do it all over again we would DEFINITELY choose the St, Julien. Without a doubt the best weekend of our lives!

Having our fall wedding in Boulder was a dream...having it in Boulder at the St. Julien was by far a dream come true! The St. Julien Staff, especially Alisha Reicks-Sturgill go far and beyond paying extra close attention to every small detail! Couldn't of picked a better venue with the coolest people! I planned my sister's wedding at this hotel and it was the most incredible experience! From the beginning, Alisha was so attentive and helpful every step of the way. She really knows what she's doing and is incredibly transparent about everything! She's definitely the person you want in your corner to help you pull off the best wedding ever! Thanks so much for everything!

The hotel is gorgeous and high end. The rooms are very comfortable but what sets them apart from other luxury hotel rooms is the fine attention to detail in order to make your stay as relaxing as possible. There are so many complimentary amenities (ie hand embroidered slippers and robes, bath salts for the tub, chocolates on the pillows, St Julien's own line of mint shampoos and lotions, and so many more). I felt totally pampered in the room and very well taken care of.

The final thing that makes the St. Julien incredible is their service staff. I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful the service is at the hotel. Everyone is super friendly and caring. They all seem to step in and help each other. At check in, the bell men helped carry in all of our decorations, luggage and personal belongings, all with a smile (special shout out to Zack). In addition, the catering managers made sure we had everything we needed (and wanted) for our flower arranging party, rehearsal ceremony and wedding day of course! Oh, and I can't forget to mention all of the catering support staff, hotel check in staff and concierge desk for all of their kindness and support. All in all, the St. Julien hotel gets 5 stars all around!

I cannot say enough good things about the St. Julien staff! We hosted a wedding there on June 17th, 2017 and we experienced top notch service all the way around. Alisha Reicks-Sturgill, who is the Catering Manager went above and beyond every step of the way. The banquet managers, banquet staff and all involved were very accommodating and the wedding went off without a flaw! Such wonderful and nice people. My clients also had their rehearsal dinner and farewell brunch at Jill's restaurant that weekend, and Philippe and Antoine were so amazing and pleasant to work with. Everything was top notch perfection, and done with a smile. It was such a great experience for everyone involved. I highly recommend the St. Julien for your next special function. Thank you St. Julien staff!

My then fiance and I looked at several venues for our wedding but knew we found the one as soon as we walked into the St Julien. The hotel is stunning, luxurious, and in the perfect location for all of our guests be able to experience exactly what we had in mind. The staff was incredible and made sure we were taken care of the entire night of our wedding. Working with Alisha made the entire planning process so easy and fun! We had the perfect wedding at the St Julien and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a venue that goes above and beyond!

The St. Julien is a spectacular venue that brings together the natural beauty of Boulder with first-class service and amenities. We always tell people that while it seems unbelievable, that our wedding—from the check-in of guests, to our use of the spa, to the big day itself—went off without one notable hitch. We loved working with Alicia and the whole team; the food was spectacular; the venue is very flexible; and of course, the view of the Flatirons is without compare! 10/10 would wed there again ;-)

Alisha Reicks-Sturgill answered all of our questions before we decided to hold my daughter's wedding reception at the St Julien. Alisha made suggestions for the planning, scheduling, food and decorating. The patio is beautiful with a wonderful view. All of the food and drinks were great. The staff was friendly and helpful in seeing that guests were happy and comfortable.

Alisha and the staff went above and beyond. She was on time for our many meetings, professional and added so much fun to the planning process. Day of, everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff even added unexpected details like decorating our meal and cake plates at the head table. Our Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony and Reception at the St. Julien was absolutely lovely and magical. The St. Julien is one of the best venues that we have ever experienced – from the gorgeous and picturesque backdrop of the Flatiron Mountains, to the amazing full-service customer experience that Alisha Reicks-Sturgill (the catering manager/event planner) and her entire team at the St. Julien provided, including the delicious food prepared by the catering team, the spectacular room accommodations for our guests, the beautiful set-up and design of our event held outside on the Lawn/Terrace, the attentive and very helpful valet & concierge staff, and the relaxing spa services that we enjoyed during our stay. Alisha went above and beyond to make our experience truly memorable – not just on the day of the event (which she knocked out of the park!) but also during the entire planning process leading up to our Vow Renewal. She was extremely helpful and recommended almost all of the vendors that we ultimately hired, which were ALL fabulous and perfect for what we envisioned-especially Brighter Day Floral Design, and she was so very patient and understanding with our many requests during the process and with all of our last minute changes.
We cannot say enough good things about our experience – the St. Julien exceeded our expectations and our event was absolutely perfect. We would highly recommend the St. Julien to anyone looking for an exceptional venue with breathtaking views and an overall amazing customer experience for their special day – whatever that might be.

My mother originally booked a local tex/mex restaurant for our rehearsal dinner and, well, as i am writing a review for the St. J you can assume things did not go well with that other venue. BUT!! The St. Julien is beautiful! Great views and wonderful venue for a rehearsal dinner. I went with T-Zero, the hotel bar as opposed to their restaurant, Jill's. The restaurant was a little too stuffy for our taste and was not a reflection of mine and my husbands personalities(we like being outside as much as possible). I met and talked with Bryan Amaro, the T-Zero director. He was so wonderful and accommodating! We gave him strict guidelines for food, booze and tip and trusted him to take care of us. HE DID! We did a family style dinner service, so it was easier on the waitstaff, also, we are not the fancy plated dinner types. He gave us an excellent variety of appetizers, salads, pastas, main dishes and desserts! I was truly blown away by Mr. Amaro's professionalism and care! He and his staff cared for us so much without hovering! The drinks were fantastic (compliments to the bartenders Eddie and Ryan), the food, amazing and the live music, soothing and relaxing. Let's not forget the view! The scenery on the terrace (where we were dining) was a gorgeous northern view of the Flatirons. Breathtaking! Which is exactly what we wanted for our out of state guests who had 1. never been to colorado and 2. never seen mountains bigger than the appalachians! We had such a wonderful and positive amount of feedback from our guests!

We have been working with the St. Julien since their inception and they never cease to amaze. Their staff is well-trained, highly professional and a pleasure to work with. The food is outstanding and the St. Julien caters to a variety of different palette preferences. We even had the Chef custom create bite-sized bratwurst for a bride (they were her childhood favorite) that were served as a late-night snack for guests.
This is a wonderful venue for any type of celebration - from a lavish 200 person wedding to an intimate affair. Ivette (Catering Sales Manager) is a pleasure to work with and we HIGHLY recommend the St. Julien for any and all special events.

I've worked with the ST Julien staff several times over the last 5 years. This by far was the best experience that I have had. Ivette Navarro is simply the best - she returns calls on time, pro-active, approachable, compassionate and very professional. She is a breath of fresh air for the St Julien Hotel. The wedding went off wonderfully and Ivette was very accommodating. I would recommend the St Julien to everyone especially Ivette who made it a wonderful experience - the best experience. We cannot recommend the St. Julien highly enough! The venue is beautiful and the space is laid out perfectly for an event, providing spaces for cocktail hour, a large ballroom, and quieter places to chat, set up a photobooth, etc. There is a gorgeous view of the Flatirons from the terrace, and tons of great photo spots.

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests. The venue coordinator is extremely responsive and helpful during the planning process.

Also - if having good food is an important part of your wedding, this is the place for you!

We had our wedding at the St. Julien in September 2017 and it was amazing! Alisha, the on-site coordinator, is very responsive and organized and made planning a breeze. The venue itself (particularly the outdoor space) is really lovely and the staff was extremely professional and helpful. In addition, since they provide almost everything you need in-house, the cost ended up being less than a more DIY venue would have been.

I went to the spa to get my makeup and hair done for my wedding with my bridesmaids. The first time I called the girl Priscilla said they could not accommodate the number of girls I wanted for my wedding. She was a bit rude and really didn't seem to care that I was trying to book spa services for my wedding. HOWEVER! I decided to call back a bit later and got a helpful woman who said she could definitely accommodate my bridesmaids and I! When I went in for my hair trial I had Alyssa, who was absolutely AMAZING!! She is the sweetest and made me feel so welcome and so beautiful. Definitely recommend her! I believe I had Melissa do my hair for my actual wedding day (apologies if I got that wrong!) and she was also fabulous. Dylan, the assistant spa director, was also above and beyond amazing! He was so funny and kind and brought champagne for me and my girls. The makeup artist was also amazing and really made me feel glamorous! I definitely recommend going here for your wedding look or for even just a hair cut!

This vendor is expensive, but worth it! We only had our reception here. A beautiful setting in Downtown Boulder, CO with a view of the Flatirons (which was one of the reasons we chose it) and a block away from Pearl Street. The special events contact was young and missed a few important details we had to remind her of, but nothing too important on the day of. She'll likely not miss those details again. She was absolutely flexible and responsive to our requests, especially with scheduling. The food was great! Our guests who stayed at the St. Julien, and those who didn't, commented on how beautiful it was. The rooms are "okay"; the beds are really comfortable. Another thing we like about having our event here is we get complimentary night and breakfast on our year anniversary!

The service in the ajoining restaurant, "Jill's", needs some help. They're slow. Be prepared to spend at least 20 minutes waiting for your breakfast. Luckily, I wasn't in a hurry when I ate breakfast there. The food was good though.

We married at the St Julien on August 20th, 2011. What a great time. Our guests, family and friends had an amazing weekend and we continue to hear great things about our special day. The wedding manager was quite helpful, though also quiet set on what changes she would allow. I would have liked more options for food/cost since we had so many small children in attendance. [spending $50-75 a plate on a 4 year old is ridiculous]. We also had a huge number of out of state guests, so we would have thought our hotel value would get us a better deal on wedding costs. That aside, we loved the venue. St. Julien is Boulder Colorado. Located in the heart of town, our guests took advantage of hiking and biking and sightseeing and loved visiting our favorite place in the world. We quite enjoyed our room and guest suite. Getting married while gazing at the Flatirons is an amazing experience. One silly downside: getting the bride into position to walk down the aisle unseen means walking through the pool area. One of my favorite little things: EVERYONE from valet to house keeping to front desk, I mean everyone in St Julien knew our names. And we went back several times in the months after and we were still remembered by various staff. This little attention to detail made me feel very special.

It was an absolutely beautiful place for a wedding. Absolutely perfect and the staff were very attentive and great to have around. Couldn't have imagined it anywhere else. It is pricey.

We had our outdoor ceremony at the St. Julien Hotel. Their outdoor courtyard provides a perfect backdrop of the flatirons and makes for some beautiful photos. We opted for a different chair layout and the hotel obliged with no issue. The entire staff was so friendly and kind on the day of our ceremony. We headed back to our room after the reception and had lovely hand written note from the event coordinator waiting for us.

Every since attending CU Boulder, I knew I wanted my wedding at the St. Julien Hotel & Spa. Working with the staff was wonderful and our wedding weekend was truly incredibly special because of the hotel. They were supportive, responsive and did everything they could to help make our guests feel taken care of and welcome. We LOVED working with the hotel and can't wait to visit Boulder for our anniversary!

Wedding was great! Awesome venue!

Everything was perfect at the wedding... but the service the next day at the restaurant on the patio was horrible. Then said they were understaffed but they seem under prepared. Our catering manager and staff for the wedding was flawless though.

The hotel is so beautiful and we had a wonderful, perfectly-run wedding, thanks in no small part to the St. Julien's excellent staff. Carly and her staff were extremely attentive and really great throughout the entire day and night. I couldn't have asked for better service, they were fantastic and it made the wedding that much better. The food was also completely delicious. We received many complements on the food, the gorgeous location, and how well the wedding was run. Really, all things owing to the St. Julien. Plus, it was nice to not have to worry about a thing the day of or the day after.

That said, the hotel is very inflexible in terms of discounts or concessions, especially in light of the amount of money (which was a LOT!! Not to mention the number of hotel guests we brought in) we spent there. It would have been nice for some give-and-take, which its my understanding a lot of other hotels are willing to at least pretend like they are doing. They did however let us use as much space as we needed, let us use the lovely yard area all night, and we were able to get a buffet but split it up for a more "stations" appearance, which was great. In hindsight, the wedding was so great I am really glad we chose the St. Julien--and would chose them again--but their inflexibility was very frustrating at times during the planning process. And, as others have said, its not a cheap venue.

Overall I did have a great experience with the St. Julien Hotel and Spa. They are a top notch hotel but we experienced some issues when our original planner left and the new person stepped in. Things just got more confusing and promises were not kept in certain situations. We started to feel like we were being nickeled and dimed because we didn't have as big of a wedding that they normally do. I think they have worked out the kinks by now and would highly recommend them in spite of what happened to us and our billing issues. The food was outstanding. Everyone was commenting on that almost a year our still. They are expensive but worth it. Our ceremony and reception were truly amazing and they had a lot to do with that. They also treating our family and friends well. Beautiful hotel, good service, amazing food.

This is a beautiful venue, but it is expensive and they are not flexible. We had a few minor issues but we were able to get them corrected. The food was fantastic and we received nothing but compliments.

Compared to other places in Boulder, this hotel is a joke. An $18,000 food and drink minimum (that's $23,000 after service charge and tax - for just the food and beverage!) is far beyond other worthy venues and they don't seem to offer anything special. You can see the Flatirons from anywhere in Boulder. They're mountains. And the ballroom is completely average, like any you'd see in another (more modestly priced) hotel. I was appalled that they could offer us no additional discounts on food, lodging, or anything for our off-season January wedding. Discounted guest rooms were still over $250/night, which only the most thoughtless could actually expect all of their guests to pay. Definitely off our list of possibilities.
