Fabulous!!

We couldn’t be happier with the St. Charles String Quartet! Their music added such elegance and beauty to our wedding ceremony. Every song we requested was performed with stunning precision, creating a magical atmosphere that perfectly complemented our special day.

The quartet’s talent and professionalism were apparent in every note—they brought such warmth and emotion to each piece, making the ceremony truly unforgettable. Our guests were absolutely enchanted by their performance, and we received so many compliments on how beautiful the music was. We highly recommend!!

Beautiful addition to our big day

We loved our experience with St Charles! Not only were they reasonably priced, they were very professional, easy to work with, and had a huuuuge repertoire to choose from!

We loved that they were able to play so many modern songs on strings at our wedding- it gave everyone a magical Bridgerton vibe and added beautiful sound to all of our big and small events going on.

St Charles was also flexible in adding in songs that weren't on their repertoire which we so loved and appreciated. We would hire them all over again!

Beautiful and impressive ambiance for our wedding day!

We were beyond impressed working with Neil and the St. Charles String Quartet! From the beginning, Neil's communication and organization made our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour absolutely perfect. Our guests loved the extra touch of having live music, and it brought a level of formality to our intimate ceremony. It was unique to be able to hear classic wedding music and also 'hit's' that everyone would recognize as their radio favorites. I would highly recommend working with St. Charles String Quartett!!

Beautiful songs played by the string quartet

St. Charles String Quartet was amazing on our wedding day. I had the pleasure of hearing several of the songs prior to our ceremony. The quartet was beautiful and played the songs exactly as I had requested. During the ceremony, the string quartet was beautiful and created the ambiance that I wanted for my ceremony. Our guests loved the contemporary covers that the group played and mentioned how much they loved the quartet after. I loved walking down the aisle to the beautiful songs played by the group and would highly recommend for your next event!!

The Quartet did an amazing job! We had them play pop music arrangements for our wedding before the ceremony, and everyone we spoke to remarked in how beautiful the Quartet sounded!

Loved St. Charles String quartet - we had them play for our ceremony and cocktail hour. The only disappointment was that we were so busy during the cocktail hour that we hardly got to hear them play. OUr guests complimented us on their music and years later still talk about them.

The musicians of St. Charles String Quartet were amazing to work with and phenomenal from start to finish. They did an awesome job of setting the tone for our wedding ceremony and keeping everyone in great spirits and musical bliss during our cocktail hour. Following the wedding, a number of our guests remarked on how great they were and were super impressed by the fact that they played contemporary music on their instruments that sounded great. The musicians are extraordinary and I HIGHLY recommend their services because they made the most important day of my life absolutely amazing.

The St. Charles String Quartet was phenomenal during my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. The guests were gushing about their mixture of classical and popular pieces. As a violinist myself, I can say that their talent and the quality of their performance was absolutely wonderful. They executed everything flawlessly. I would definitely recommend them!!

Neil and the rest of the St. Charles String Quartet will be one of the highlights of your wedding! I received so many compliments on what a wonderful job they did and how impressed people were with their music selections! I asked them to do contemporary music for the cocktail hour, and they knocked it out of the park (e.g., Stairway to Heaven, Somebody That I Used to Know, Titanium). They even did some music for my ceremony that was not on their list. Book them - you won't be disappointed!

We used the St. Charles String Quartet for our ceremony and cocktail hour. We were impressed by the breadth of their repertoire. They can play classical music like Bach, but they can also play Red Hot Chili Peppers. We opted for more classical music during the ceremony and 80s/90s/pop music for the cocktail hour. Our guests loved that mix of music. Neil was extremely responsive and easy to work with. We had a few songs we wanted played for each part of the event but left the rest of the choices up to them, and they did a great job. I would highly recommend them for any wedding or event.

We chose St. Charles String Quartet to play for our ceremony and cocktail hour because we were very impressed with the quality of their music as well as their song selection. We wanted non-traditional music for our ceremony, and they had a ton of songs to choose from. They were also more than willing to learn any songs that we wanted that weren't on their song list. We chose the following songs for our ceremony: What a Wonderful World (Louis Armstrong), At Last (Etta James), Somebody to Love (Queen) and Signed Sealed Delivered (Stevie Wonder); and they all sounded perfect! We didn't get to hear them play our cocktail hour since we were taking pictures, but we got a ton of compliments on their music selection.

I would absolutely recommend them to play for anyone looking for non-traditional music - although they do know traditional music as well. Neil was a pleasure to work with, and was more than happy to answer any questions we had!

what can i say... they learned music for us. st charles was beyond amazing... if anything i'm sad we had to take photos during the cocktail hour and we didn't get to enjoy more of them

they helped make our ceremony special and unique with our quirky music selections.

I LOVED having a trio of musicians from the St. Charles string quartet play at my wedding. My only regret is that I didn't book them for longer! I had them play the music as I walked down the aisle and then they played during the cocktail hour while we were doing photos. I wish I had booked them to stay through dinner as I missed hearing much of their music. However what I did hear was absolutely lovely. My guests commented on their music and it was just a really sweet touch to a small wedding - a nice little inexpensive splurge. Very reasonable cost. I loved them! Very easy to deal with and professional. Totally recommend.

I loved The St. Charles Quartet. Their repertoire is beautifully varied and I enjoyed all the songs they played. My guests were very happy and amused to hear modern songs being played, such as Bruno Mars and Rihanna. They played the songs I requested beautifully. I highly recommend!

I cannot say enough great things about St. Charles String Quartet. They performed at our May 18th wedding, and they were the talk of the event. They played Top 40 and added an element of fun to a venue that had the potential to be stuffy. Neil, the leader of the group, was incredibly flexible. When my soloist got strep throat, he and his group agreed to play the song with no qualms.

We highly recommend St. Charles String Quartet! We're forever fans.

My husband and I used St. Charles String Quartet for both our ceremony music and cocktail hour for our September wedding. We just booked a trio and the group exceeded our expectations. Neil was very responsive and their extensive play list made it easy to pick our ceremony music. In addition, we received many compliments from family and friends about the trio. They especially loved the versatile play list (mix of classic and more modern hits). One of our guests even booked St. Charles for their wedding! We highly recommend St. Charles.

St. Charles String Quartet rivaled me for stealing the show at my October wedding. They were absolutely amazing, and really helped us without hesitation in a very critical time. My mother, who is in a nursing home, wasn't transported to the wedding on time, so we had a little more than an hour delay. Well, I had only given them a list of songs to play for 1/2 hour--leaving with so much time to fill. We heard that one of the best parts of the night for our guests was having the quartet play continuously--never repeating a song--while they waited for the ceremony to start. I actually did get to hear a bit of the music, and it was gorgeous! So soft, romantic, classical, but modern. And they even stayed for the cocktail hour, adding more time than I had booked. They handled everything beautifully--rolled with the entire night, people LOVED them and are still complimenting them more than a month later Highly recommend. They added a beautiful soundtrack to a beautiful day.

Neil and his team were outstanding at our wedding - the music was all so perfect and so beautiful and is going to bring happy tears to my eyes for years to come. I was nervous at first because we wanted a few songs that aren't in the usual wedding repertoire, but the St. Charles selection ranges from the very traditional to the not-at-all traditional and it all sounds divine. If you aren't sure about something, Neil can offer guidance and suggestions, and if you have any ideas that aren't on the extensive list he will enthusiastically try to accommodate you. Highly recommend!

We cannot say enough great things about St. Charles String Quartet. We worked with Neil and he was the best. He was incredibly quick with emailing us back whenever we had a question (which was quite a bit)! He was also very helpful when it came to selecting music. All of our guests loved loved them. We have received so many compliments regarding the trio. They played classical music for the ceremony and then mixed it up (per our request) with modern choices for cocktail hour which was an absolute hit! Out of all of the vendors we worked with - he was one of the nicest and made this experience incredibly pleasant. We were so so happy and pleased with the job that they did. They are amazing musicians and we were very lucky to have them play at our wedding. :)

St Charles Strings Quartet was a professional, responsive and affordable choice for our ceremony music. My husband and I were impressed by the range of pieces available and were able to select ceremony pieces with ease. Recovering violinists, we were probably a bit picky, but they accomodated all of our requests gracefully. I successfully talked my husband out of 'Free Bird' for the resessional, but it was nice to have options.

St Charles also played for our cocktail hour. We set them loose to play their choice of their many, many arrangements of popular music. I wasn't at the cocktail hour, but our guests told us they had a lot of fun racing to be the first to figure out the song.

I communicated primarily with Neil. He was very professional and usually quite responsive. All three musicians showed up on time the day of the event and I had exactly zero complaints.

We ended up going with a Trio and it was great! Neil was very helpful in recommending songs because I was having a hard time deciding between songs. They have a lot of great songs in their repertoire - classical and modern. They did a great job!

I hired a string trio from St. Charles String Quarter for my March 27, 2010 wedding. My husband and I met with Neil a year in advance and booked right away to ensure the group could play for our ceremony. I heard so many rave reviews about the group, I knew I would hire them before we met with Neil. Neil's fast response time and great communication were just a bonus. So many of our guests told us the music was such a beautiful part of our ceremony, and we were highly impressed. If you are looking for a string group for your wedding, you will not be disappointed with this group.

St Charles String Quartet did an amazing job! I received SO many compliments on how well they played and the choices of songs they played from the more traditional to more modern songs. They really made a huge impact in setting the tone of our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Neil Puzon, was the main person I dealt with and he was so easy to talk to and communicated with. He was always so prompted in our correspondences and answered all of our questions and addressed all of our concerns. After another musician decided 2 weeks before my wedding that he would not be able to provide the music we had agreed upon for our ceremony, the St. Charles Strings agreed to play with no problem. Not only were they able to play all of the songs I had selected for my ceremony, they sounded amazing! I would highly reccomend them to anyone looking for some modern music for their ceremony!

One word: P E R F E C T I O N! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! These guys are soooooo talented! Everyone at the wedding could not stop talking about how beatiful the music at the ceremony was.

We had some last minute problems and changes, and they were able to accomodate us immediately!!! Everything ran sooo smoothly and beautifully. They played absolutely everything we wanted.

They exceeded our expectations 1000%! Hire these guys!!!! Now!!

We went to a St. Charles Quartet concert before we made the commitment to hire them. They played Beethoven and they were great, so we knew that the quality of the music would be more than sufficient. But would they lead the wedding party and of the guests in a parade to the reception, all the time playing a song that wasn't on their playlist, finding a way to play it over and over? SURE! So for flexibility, we should probably give them 10 stars. Really, Neil and his team helped add a sophisticated and fun element to our wedding. Also, top ratings for communication.

Neil and the St. Charles Quartet were a WONDERFUL addition to our Catholic ceremony. From the moment I first contacted Neil, he was great to work with. I requested they play a song that was not in their repertoire, which they learned for the ceremony & it turned out beautifully! They really do an amazing job!

St. Charles String Quartet played during our outdoor wedding ceremony, adding beautiful music and the right atmosphere to the event. We hired the group because we heard they could play a range of music, from the old standbys like Bach?s ?Jesu, Joy of Man?s Desiring? to the Beatles? ?When I?m 64? and even more modern music than that. We wanted traditional wedding music for the processional and ?That?s Amore!? for the recessional, and St. Charles String Quartet delivered! Neil, the liaison to the band, was professional, accessible, and wonderful to work with, making helpful music suggestions, which was great because even though I?ve heard a lot of traditional/classical music, I had no idea what the name of anything was. The group met with the officiant before the ceremony and together they figured out the music cues. The end result was perfect timing and lovely (and fun for the recessional!) music. We would recommend St. Charles String Quartet in a heartbeat.

I cannot rate the guys of the St Charles quartet enough, they were a fantastic addition to our ceremony and cocktail hour and even learned a modern song especially for our day. They were excellent and a great addition to my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour that was held outdoors. My guests were very very impressed. They really add a classy touch - and they are affordable! I communicated with Neil through email and he was very responsive and professional. They have a lot of experience and are the best ceremony music vendor in the DC/MD/VA area. They also can play modern music (Coldplay, Bitter Sweet Symphony, etc). I would absolutely hire them again.

These guys were great!!! I had a small budget, and they sent me a quote for the Ceremony and Cocktail Hour that worked in that budget by taking it down to a duo. All of my guests had nothing but praise for them. I requested they learn a certain song for me, and when I came into my cocktail hour, they played it for me. They were phenomenol. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a classy feel to their wedding. I am 110% satisfied with their service and professionalism, and would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Fabulous!! One of the easiest vendors by far to work with. Neil is great, responds right away to emails and questions, and is very thorough. I had no concerns leading up at all. Day of they were great. I can't say that I had much interation with them, or even heard much (my mind was elsewhere!), but I got lots of compliments. I highly recommend them!

They did an excellent job. They were really easy to work with, and were very happy to accommodate our special requests. They did a great job playing music before and during the ceremony, and then provided a nice backdrop during our cocktail hour. Everyone was thrilled with their performance. We hired the St. Charles Quartet (actually their string trio since we had a smaller wedding) for our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. St. Charles String Quartet did a GREAT job for my wedding ceremony. They learned and played my husband's favorite song ("Don't Stop Believin") for my walk down the aisle as a surprise. He loved it and they played it perfectly. All of the other music was great and right on cue. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Absolutely by far the best! Neil (group coordinator) was very enthusiastic and helpful in the planning of song choices. Neil suggested whether to use a quartet, trio or duo based on how many people will be in attendance and the location. They have the most unique selections and could probably play anything. If they don't already know it, they are more than willing to learn and arrange the music most appropriately for the situation. Song artists we used included Led Zeppelin, Coldplay and The Beatles. We have received numerous praises from guests on how awesome the trio was during the ceremony, I would highly recommend this group.

These guys were great. Didn't meet or hear them in advance, but you can listen to samples online and I was extremely pleased overall. They let me pick all my songs, were flexible enough to let me change my lineup at the last minute, and sent me a sample cd of how the whole thing would sound. Very affordable, actually got them to make me a deal and let me do a trio instead of a quartet to save a little money!

St. Charles did a beautiful job for our ceremony and cocktail hour! They played lovely classical music during the ceremony, and then mixed it up with some jazzier and more modern songs during the cocktail hour. It all sounded amazing! They have an extensive repertoire but are also completely willing to learn new pieces with some advance notice, and the musicians who played at our ceremony were right on time and very professional. We loved having them be a part of our big day!

We really wanted a rock string quartet for our ceremony and cocktail hour and this string quartet is amazing! They played everything we asked for and our guests thought they were very good. I didn't get to hear but their version of Free Bird left a lasting impression on people. I would highly recommend them for their professionalism (right on time) and the quality of music. The price was also reasonable if you want live music for your wedding but don't want to pay for a full band.

St. Charles was wonderful to work with. Neil was very professional and played all of the music requested for the 2 hours I hired them for. I highly recommend them, pricey but definitely worth the cost. They have an extensive playlist to choose from and flexible with special requests.

I did not get to actually meet the head muscian in charge, we did most contact via email which was fine with me. Neil pretty much made it really easy for me when I asked for suggestions on songs...he has had more experience so I trusted him. The ceremony was lovely and once I stepped out of the brides room and heard the music playing I knew it would be perfect. It was an above average warm April day so everyone actually moved inside for cocktail hour. I didn't hear much of the cocktail music playing because we were outside taking pictures. We had a DJ for the actual reception.

Young and attractive group. They were very flexible with member changes due to unavalability on my wedding date. They were also flexible when the ceremony started late. Very professional and easily accessible as I did all my booking and communication on-line. Beautiful music, too, as I started crying at the top of the aisle as soon as I heard the first notes!

I really enjoyed working with the St. Charles Quartet for the wedding. They are very talented and this was one of my favorite parts of the wedding. We had them play from a wishlist of modern, classic and indie rock and I really appreciated how many of the songs they learned for us. Neil is the contact he is extremely professional and nice. I get the chills thinking about how beautiful their music sounded. I couldn't recommend them enough.

St. Charles Strings are amazing! I had the trio for my ceremony and cocktail hour. For the ceremony they played Beatles music and then a variety of pop music for the cocktail hour. They were punctual, professional and fun for all of my guests to enjoy. I highly recommend booking them if you're interested in having strings play at your special event!

Talented musicians. The guests really enjoyed the mix of pop and classical music they played during our cocktail hour. Excellent value for money.

We had to move our ceremony inside because of rain, and so the musicians did not have a lot of elbow room. They didn't complain, and soldiered on while the processional went right by them with less than 1 foot of space!

This group is amazing. Everyone at the wedding commented on how great the music was. We had them perform at the ceremony and at our reception. Sometimes it took a little patience waiting for email replies, but in the end, I was definitely happy with the quality of the music. I would recommend using them!

Used a string trio for both the ceremony and cocktail hour. Neil was very helpful in getting me set up and in the song choice process. The trio showed up on time and everything went off without a hitch. I also really liked that they had a large selection of fun, moden songs that suited our cocktail hour perfectly. Who doesn't want to hear Led Zeppelin or Rihanna on strings? Good for the price, very professional, definitely recommend.

The St. Charles String Quartet isn't just your ordinary string quartet - their music selection includes classical renditions of modern songs from the Beatles to Coldplay and U2. We got married in a church, but knew we wanted to put a playful twist into a more traditional setting, and couldn't have been happier with St. Charles' performance. They were talented and professional musicians who were dependable, communicative, and helpful in tailoring music that had meaning to us. The songs brought smiles to our guests faces and was definitely talked about after the wedding ceremony! I loved the songs they played for us and am very happy we hired them!

The one thing my fiance wanted for the wedding was a string quartet. St. Charles String Quartet had played at our venue before and their prices were very reasonable. Neil and I communicated exclusively over email, which was no problem at all. Neil made excellent suggestions for pieces to play before the ceremony as guests were arriving and he and his team were able to play all the songs that we had picked out. Their repertoire is quite large. The ceremony turned out beautifully and so elegant, we got lots of compliments on it! I highly recommend St. Charles String Quartet to anyone looking for high quality, live ceremony music.

I knew that when I got married that I wanted a string quartet to play. When I was searching for a string quartet the first vendor that popped up was the St. Charles String Quartet. Once I listened to their sample audio clips, I knew I had to have them play at my wedding. I loved the array of music that they could play. They played beautifully for my wedding party and I as we walked down the aisle. We also ha them play during the cocktail hour and a lot of people raved about how amazing they were and the music that they were able to play.

He plays the violin beautifully- I had an outdoor wedding in a garden with a gazebo and he played all of the music- it was beautiful. He was def. worth the money spent. I couldn't afford two violinists and was worried that the one wouldnt be enough- but he plays so beautifully and boldly that his violin alone was all we needed. It was hard scheduling him as he had another event later that day- so that was a little stressful. But it worked out, in the end.

I had a Duo for my wedding, and was recommended by another bride. I didn't have any problems with timing, or selection of my songs. The only problem was that I choose modern songs, and they didn't play all of them. The quality was great, and I'll use the service again, bu I'll make sure to have all the songs confirmed with them before hand.

Fabulous! I heard many many compliments, and they added such class to my ceremony and cocktail hour. They made suggestions for songs, and asked for whatever input you wanted to give. I had no specific songs to give, but just an overall feel that I was going for. They were right on!! And, for a very reasonable price!

I worked with Neil, who was helpful in providing information related to my desire to have a string trio play ceremony music in addition to music for cocktail hour during my wedding. The music was well received by guests and they arrived on time to set-up, etc. and played our pre-determined set list beautifully. I wish I'd had the opportunity to hear more of their music that day, but of course I was all over the place on my wedding day! I hired them as a quartet for my ceremony. They played the music beautifully. They were even able to play a special request. (The Sweetheart Tree by Henry Mancini)

While I was very pleased with the quality of their music, I found them a little bit hard to contact, and they did not go the extra mile to follow up with me regarding the day-of procedures. Regardless, I was pleased with their performance, and everything went smoothly.
