My husband and I were married at STCC about 1 year ago now. Working with Carla was great, from our initial conversation all the way through the big day. We really loved how the room ended up looking after Carla put her magic touch on it, felt really magical to see the transformation. Would recommend hosting a wedding here for all future couples! -

Fantastic Wedding Venue!
My husband and I got married at St. Charles Country Club (SCCC) in September 2023. From our first conversation with Carla, the onsite coordinator, we felt confident that this wedding venue would meet our expectations – and, looking back now, we are pleased to share that it ultimately exceeded them.
First, Carla is an absolute gem. She was knowledgeable, helpful, and communicative from the initial planning through the big day. Carla has been coordinating weddings at SCCC for many years, and her experience is truly invaluable. We felt comforted knowing we were in “good hands” throughout the entire process.
The space itself is functional and attractive. In the hallway where guests entered, we set out photos of ourselves and our families, our guest sign-in book, and the table assignments. The cocktail hour was held in a large room with high ceilings connected to a veranda overlooking the expansive golf course, which features tall trees and a charming creek. Our guests enjoyed being able to move between the indoors and outdoors all evening. The dining room was also spacious, and with one wall fully lined with windows, there was ample natural light before sunset.
Our only complaint about the space was that the bar was set-up in the cocktail hour room all evening, which meant that guests had to leave the dining room where the dancing was taking place to refresh their drinks. In some cases, guests lingered in the cocktail hour room or on the veranda, which was nice for those wanting a change of scenery or a break from the music, but not ideal for us as the bride and groom, as we would have preferred our guests not to be separated between two different spaces.
The décor in the space is more traditional than modern, but it did not feel worn or outdated. We wanted a more classic, elegant aesthetic, and we felt that the space accommodated that well. The final look was breathtakingly beautiful – especially because of the stunning floral arrangements. (As a side note, we used Carla’s floral company – Debi’s Designs – and would highly recommend them!)
The service throughout the event was outstanding. SCCC was well-staffed, and the servers were professional, polite, and attentive. As the bride and groom, we felt well taken care of. We even had our own personal attendant who brought us our signature cocktails and an appetizer plate as we were taking photos during the cocktail hour.
Last but not least, the food was incredible. The venue has a very talented in-house chef. Months later, we are still receiving compliments from people about how delicious the meal was! Many people have expressed that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. We also appreciated that the venue was able to accommodate the various dietary needs and preferences of our guests.
Wedding venues are a significant portion of overall wedding expenses, and we felt that SCCC offered a fair price. The value we received was well worth the investment. The venue is also about much more than the space itself; it is also about the service provided throughout the planning process and on the big day. We are so grateful for Carla and her team for playing a huge role in helping us have the wedding of our dreams. We would highly recommend this wedding venue to other couples! -

LOVED This Venue, and loved the coordinator even more!
St Charles Country Club was beautiful, the food was AMAZING (our guests are still commenting on it) and the location was perfect for accessibility, photography, and the size of our wedding (about 110). But the star factor was Carla, their Event Manager. She worked tirelessly from beginning to end to make sure we had the perfect day. Everything ran like clockwork, she went the extra mile on absolutely everything, she was super organized, and we always felt she cared about how our wedding day turned out. She is the absolute best, and we will always be grateful we worked with her! -

My husband and had the British/American wedding of my dreams thanks to Carla Keeney (the event planner at the club). I cannot say enough good things about her. She is not a normal planner in terms of that she goes ABOVE and BEYOND to make the day perfect. Most venue coordinators do what is needed to make the day happen, but not like Carla. I am very type A and organized, and she was right there along with me ensuring I felt happy and comfortable. She helped every step of the way, recommending vendors, helping with centerpieces and flowers, working within our budget, and communicating with us even on her days off. The country club is a stunning location any time of season, the food is amazing (we got feedback its some of the best wedding food they have ever had), and the service is great! I belonged this to club when I was little so it was always my dream to have my wedding here. She took that very seriously and from day one was by my side. She always had our best intentions at heart and overall a wonderful, kind woman who wants you to have a terrific day - her type is not easy to find in the wedding industry. I highly recommend them for your wedding or event! BOOK YOUR WEDDING HERE. Carla is the best! -

I had the wedding of my dreams all thanks to Carla (the event planner at the club). I cannot say enough good things about her! She was like a real life fairy Godmother. She helped every step of the way, recommending vendors, helping with centerpieces and flowers, working within our budget, and communicating with us. The country club is a stunning location any time of season, the food is amazing, and the service is great! Everything went perfect and was planned out well due to Carla’s expertise and advice. I am grateful to have gotten the opportunity to have my big day at such an amazing venue. I highly highly recommend them for your wedding or event! -

Couldn't Have Asked for a Better Venue or Coordinator
The St. Charles Country Club and Carla were absolutely amazing to work with. Carla executed our vision perfectly and took away so much wedding stress. She was so professional, communicative, and extremely helpful. She helped us find our DJ, photographer, florist, and even handled our dessert bar coordinating with local bakeries. Her vendor recommendations couldn't have been better for us, and she even helped in communicating things with them that took off a lot of work from us so we could just enjoy the planning process and the day. We couldn't have asked for a better coordinator or venue! -

Carla did a fantastic job bringing our wedding dreams to life! She is professional, timely, experienced, flexible, and so enjoyable to work with! I trusted her judgement and everything turned out so beautiful. She was able to adapt to my last minute color scheme/flower switch and the bouquets were perfect!
St. Charles Country Club was the perfect wedding venue for us! The golf course provided a beautiful backdrop for our wedding photos. We were able to comfortably fit 230 guests at our wedding. The food was delicious as well and we received many compliments. I highly recommend this as a wedding venue!! -

We were so happy with how our wedding day went. Carla Keeney, the coordinator at the St Charles country club made the day run smoothly and stress free, which allowed us to have a fun time at our wedding. Incredible!
The St. Charles Country Club is a gorgeous venue but the real gem is their coordinator Carla Keeney. I can not express enough how amazing Carla is. She is a wonder with work with and a true visionary. I came to her with a very specific look that I wanted created and she executed it flawlessly. She was there any time I needed her with questions or concerns. She is hard working and determind to make your wedding everything you have always dreamed it would be. Carla is also a florist and did all of the flowers for my wedding. They were absolutley stunning. I cried when she showed me the room before the guest arrived. I also had my ceremony outside and the set up was perfect!! I would HIGHLY reccomend this venue. Not only do you get a beautiful venue but you get the best in the business to seamlessly make your wedding the best day of your life! -

Carla was AMAZING and helped so much! She did my flower bouquets, and was there for me from the first day I booked the venue until after my wedding was over. St. Charles Country Club and Carla were instrumental in helping my husband and I plan, and re-plan, our wedding. Originally set for May 2020, we rescheduled 2 times before finally having it in June 2021. The day could not have been more perfect. It was everything I imagined and more. The staff at St. Charles Country Club was considerate, professional, and flexible. They handled our adjustments with grace. Carla was fabulous to work with. She handled every detail to make our day perfect. When we had hiccups in planning, Carla was there to fix everything. The day would not have been nearly as perfect without her. I cannot recommend STCCC and Carla enough. -

Absolutely Beautiful!!
The St. Charles Country Club is an absolutely perfect venue for anyone looking for a gorgeous reception and low-stress planning process! Carla gave us vendor recommendations (all of which were FANTASTIC) and she worked closely with our florist. I had brought a lot of my own DIY decorations and displays a couple days in advance, and they did ALL the set-up. I knew it would look absolutely wonderful, and they did not disappoint! They are eager to personalize your day and work hard to make it special. Our family and friends are still raving over the delicious food and elegant ambiance at the reception. Perfection
My husband and I got married here earlier this month and I am still beaming! Everything about the wedding day and the entire planning process was absolutely perfect. I always thought I would be one of those brides that gets super stressed out and overwhelmed with the planning process. But as soon as I met Carla, the event coordinator for the Club, I knew we were in the best hands. She has decades of wedding experience and truly cares about you as a couple and making you happy. We had a strict budget, and Carla went SO above and beyond what we could have ever imagined to make it the wedding of our dreams. Her expertise was evident from the very beginning, and we never had any worries that everything would go smoothly. Knowing that she cared just as much about our day as we did took away so much of the stress of the whole process, and allowed us to just have fun. Carla helped with our flowers (which were BEYOND perfection) and completely transformed the ballroom into the perfect intimate setting for both our ceremony and reception. The food is amazing as well - and the service is amazing, so professional. Carla is so talented at making sure everything runs on time and smoothly - it seems like most weddings run behind schedule or feel like the dinner portion takes forever - we actually ran ahead of schedule which gave us even more time to dance and mingle after dinner! The venue has so many beautiful backdrops for photos, and whether the ceremony is inside or outside, you can't go wrong. So many of our guests were raving over the beautiful view of the sunset from the veranda and got some amazing photos! All of our guests had a great time - my husband and I and our parents are still getting compliments on how beautiful the evening was. I truly don't think anything could have been more perfect about our wedding day. -

We where married September 21st 2019 and had the best night of our lives thanks to St. Charles Country Club and their amazing event coordinator Carla Keeney! Carla was with us from beginning to end. She gave us recommendations on DJ, cake bakeries and photographers. She was with us from beginning to end making sure that everything went off without a hitch. Carla took care of decorating for the wedding so that I could focus on other parts of the wedding and the out of town guests. When we got to the venue on the day of our wedding Carla had golf carts for us to take out to do pictures and umbrellas because we where graced with rain on our wedding day. We where able to use the womens locker room to freshen up and store our belongings for the night. The Venue is gorgous and the servers where very profession, polite and met all of our needs. I would recommend St. Charles country club to anyone who is looking for a hassle free, upscale venue site!! 10/10!! -

First of all, let me say that 5 stars is not enough to rate Carla. Carla is out of this world amazing. I would give her all the stars if I could! I cannot even believe how much of a breeze this wedding was for my husband and me because of Carla. I hear horror stories of brides going crazy trying to plan their weddings, but Carla handled it in a professional and stress-free way. Carla knew exactly what I wanted from the first meeting I had with her and I trusted her the whole way to do what she does best: weddings! I can truly say that the venue was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. More beautiful than I could have imagined. The food was delicious. And everything about the wedding went smooth. Carla's recommendations for vendors were absolutely amazing. From the DJ, to the cake, to the invites, to the flowers, everything was absolutely gorgeous. Carla even surprised me with a beautifully decorated swing on the golf course. She even made flowers for our dog to wear and come take pictures with us!!! I wanted to cry I was so happy and pleased with how the whole evening went! Weeks later we are still getting compliments, and even thank you notes (for our own wedding!) because of Carla. We could not have done it without Carla, and the appreciation I have for what she does is out of this world! If you are looking for someone that truly listens to your vision and has a true talent in the wedding world, Carla is your girl! -

Wedding Reception
Outstanding venue!!! Carla was attentive and listened carefully to all of our ideas. She then gave us options and continued to make our wedding reception very special and personalized for us!! Food was absolutely delicious!! People are still complimenting us weeks later. Her connections and recommendations for DJ, cake and florist were just right for our event. The room looked stunning when we walked in for the first look. Pictures on the golf course were so much fun for our photographers, and all in our wedding party and family. Pictures came out amazing!! We were the only event which is what we sought. It was a wonderful night. Thanks to all of the staff for their assistance. Special thanks to Carla. She was there at all steps of the process and throughout the night. Amazing!! -

She captured our vision and helped us with making decisions since she has over 30 years experience in the business. Carla helped us with cake, flowers, and the DJ. She made our outdoor ceremony space absolutely gorgeous, and the reception space was beautiful. I'm not sure how other brides plan their weddings without her, because she made things completely stress free! No detail was missed, from the food, the flowers, linens, chairs, tables and all the tiny details in-between. She made the vision of our wedding come to life. I’m not sure our wedding would have turned out as great as it did, if it wasn’t for Carla and all the staff at the club. She made is stress free and helped with everything she could. I never worried about anything happening that day because I knew it was going to run smoothly. I still remember walking into the reception room and seeing how breathtaking every detail was. It was a day I’ll never forget!

Still getting compliments on how beautiful she made everything from the picture spots to the table set up/cocktail area to the gorgeous flowers at the church and reception and even the rehearsal dinner (Deb's Design Florist along with Carla, put together an unbelievable beautiful venue). The food and presentation was the most delicious I have ever eaten. The chef is unbelievable! I would recommend St. Charles Country Club to anyone I know getting married.

From our first meeting, she made us so comfortable with her knowledge and professionalism. She mastered it all! From the food selections to the flowers, music to the linens, and all the tiny details in-between - Carla truly listened to our vision and made it become a reality. Our wedding day was an absolute dream and stress free because we knew that she had it under control! But even better, she completely exceeded our expectations and we were blown away when we saw the ceremony site and reception room all set up. Stunning! Our guests can't stop talking about how it was the most beautiful and fun wedding that they've ever been to. We will certainly look to host future events at STCC with Carla!

I'm not sure how to fully describe and compliment Carla and the staff at the St. Charles Country Club. Every step of the way was so enjoyable with special thanks to Carla's professionalism, vision, and work ethic. She is one of the best in the business and this venue wouldn't be the same without her. She is a true artist and so gifted. Originally, I wasn't planning on a country club venue, rather I was hoping for a loft, but Carla ensured, delivered and transformed this venue into the place of my dreams. I cried when I saw the room- it was stunning and everything I dreamed of. The service was phenomenal, the food was impeccable (and hot!), and the amenities/grounds for photos are like nothing else. Carla personally works and collaborates with floral, the bakery (she put finishes on the cake), and rental companies to make your day perfect (No need for a wedding planner). This is a five star establishment and Carla is their shining star. -

Madeline Sent on 12/22/2017Having grown up in Saint Charles, I knew that I wanted to get married in my hometown. We looked everywhere in the area and this was our favorite - the ballroom, balcony, and remote golf course were all so beautiful. We picked it mainly for how it looked. What we did not know when we were picking this location, was how amazing the food, service, and event coordinator, Carla would be. Our guests raved about the food ( we had the pretzel crusted chicken), and everyone seemed to have a genuinely good time. Carla and her team checked on us and our guests frequently- kept our drinks full, and managed the timeline and event from start to finish- keeping things moving along in an efficient manner. She had lots of ideas and suggestions during the planning process, saved us money with some decor she already had at the venue , and made all of our visions come to reality on the day. She also came up with creative solutions for things that went wrong ( our seating chart had the wrong date on it-and she is the one that noticed and was able to fix it without my noticing) Highly recommend!

Carla helped us plan every detail, from the table linens to the cake to the flowers, and our wedding was a dream come true. The entire staff was professional and friendly, and our guests were extremely happy with the service. We highly recommend this venue to anyone getting married!

The St. Charles Country Club met and exceeded our expectations. The event coordinator, Carla Keeney, is absolutely amazing to work with. I cannot thank her and her staff enough for their time, dedication, and attention to every detail! When my husband and I stepped into the room (before any of the guests were able to see it) we were blown away by how beautiful it was--it was everything we had dreamed it would be, and so much more. The food was phenomenal, the ambiance was perfect, the staff were polite and always smiling, absolutely everything was perfect! We had a 5 star experience and HIGHLY recommend Carla Keeney and the St. Charles Country Club! -

Every meeting we had went smoothly and would just get us more and more excited for our big day. Never once did I have any doubt on how our wedding reception would turn out because Carla made it very easy to trust her. She has been doing this for years and really knows her stuff. Provided us with many different vendors to choose from as well, which helped out a lot! The wedding day itself, beautiful! We were blessed with great weather so we were able to take pictures out on the grounds of the country club. The decor and the little details looked perfect and exactly what I wanted. All my guests could seriously not stop talking about the beautiful venue and oh my gosh!!, the delicious food! Seriously though, the food at St. Charles Country Club is out of this world. Everybody did a fabulous job and provided the perfect reception for my husband and I. I will recommend this beautiful country club to everyone I know getting married. -

Loved St Charles country club
We had such a great wedding at the st Charles country club. It was such a beautiful fall wedding. We got so many compliments on this venue! Everyone raved about the food! The wedding coordinator Carla was awesome! She made the wedding process stress-free! Carla gave recommendations on a florist and a DJ and both were great! -

We got married here in October 2022. Our overall experience was a solid four stars but communication could be improved to make it 5 stars and put less stress on the bride.
Pros:
-Food was good
-Venue grounds are beautiful
-Inside is pretty
-Plenty of parking
-All in one venue for food/drink which is convenient for pricing (no need to hire caterer or bartender)
Cons:
-Felt that I needed to repeat things several times and follow up to get answers (this got very stressful especially during the two weeks leading up to the wedding)
-Did not always get a response
-At the end certain things were not clear (ex. Where did all the cake go, where did the flowers go etc. - I got to take home my bridal bouquet but all the other floral disappeared at the end of the night).
