Matt was absolutely amazing to work with! He was very nice, professional, and responsive. He was even able to play Concerning Hobbits for me to walk down the aisle to! Definitely took our ceremony to the next level!!

Absolutely amazing

Matt was the violinist for my ceremony and cocktail hour at my wedding yesterday. Our wedding day would not have been what it was without him. He is hands down one of the best violinists that I have ever heard and I couldn’t recommend him enough. He was the talk of the night. Thank you Matt!

Pure talent

From the start communication with Matt was a breeze. Not to mention, Matt is extremely talented! His skill on the violin really made our ceremony. It rained on our wedding day but he made it work! Luckily the sky cleared in time for him to come outside to play for our ceremony and the music was beautiful. Our guests loved it and so did we! Thank you so much Matt!

Incredible experience and value!

Matt was an incredible addition to our ceremony and cocktail hour! We had a traditional ceremony with classical music and then exited the ceremony to the Game of Thrones theme song, which was epic!! Our guests were surprised and loved everything Matt played. He created the whole ambiance without a hitch! I highly recommend booking SRQ Violinist, it made such a difference in our wedding experience.

SRQ Violinist (Matt) was the perfect choice for our ceremony music! He is an excellent violinist and was extremely helpful when choosing the music for our ceremony! Amazing and Beautiful Music!

If you are debating using Matt, do it!!! His music was BEAUTIFUL and our family and friends watched our ceremony via livestream and they all commented on how beautiful the music was. Two of the songs I requested he actually didn’t have previously, but he went out of his way to make sure he was able to play those songs for me. And I couldn’t be happier!!! If you’re looking for beautiful music for your wedding day, stop looking and book Matt now!!

Siesta Key Wedding in January

Matt made our small wedding so special. His music was elegant, graceful, and the perfect complement to our ceremony. His timing and song selection made everything flow seamlessly. Matt was responsive to our emails, gave us excellent suggestions for music choices during different parts of our ceremony and cocktail hour, and listened to our input to create the perfect playlist. The cherry on top of the perfect day!

Having Matt for our ceremony and cocktail hour was literally the perfect touch to the perfect day! Matt was great to work with and we are obsessed with his talent! The songs for our ceremony were so perfect. All of our guests loved listening to Matt upon arrival and during the cocktail hour. So thankful to have had Matt join us.

Matt is so kind very professional! He answers emails quickly, and makes working with him easy and smooth. His playing was breathtaking. We highly recommend Matt for any event performance! We went to watch Matt perform many times before our wedding. He is extremely talented, and he is a great performer. Best Violinist Ever

I want to go back to the day of my wedding just so I can listen to Matt Dendy play violin – he's that good. We hired Matt for both our ceremony and cocktail reception at the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota (cocktails at the beach club). Our guests were so impressed with his performance. The best part about Matt is that he's super helpful in the planning process, and boy is he patient because I went back and forth a lot before finalizing the ceremony music. He can play everything from Bach to John Denver to Avicii, so he caters to pretty much anyone's tastes. The day after the wedding I went to the tiki hut at the Ritz Beach Club (next to the cocktail lawn) for lunch and they said, "Oh, we overheard the cocktail hour. Your string quartet was amazing!" They were shocked when I told him the music was all performed by ONE guy – a very talented one at that. Thank you, Matt!

We hired Matt for our wedding ceremony. All of our guests loved the music and how wonderfully he played the violin. I would hire him again in a heartbeat if I could. An absolute must have!

We chose Matt for our beach ceremony and cocktail hour and it was absolutely amazing! From the beginning he was super responsive and answered all of our questions quickly and thoroughly. We had the opportunity to meet him ahead of time at a restaurant he was performing at in Sarasota and at that moment knew he was going to be the perfect addition to our special day. He has an extensive list of music selections, all of which are amazing! Our guests couldn't stop talking about how perfectly he played every song and how much his music elevated our ceremony. I would highly highly recommend choosing him for your next event!

Amazing violinist!

My husband and I hired Matt for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding ceremony after hearing him play at a local restaurant. I love his style of violin playing and the variety of music he plays! We hired him for the rehearsal, because I was honestly sad that I, as the bride, wouldn't get to hear him play a lot during our ceremony. It was the best decision to hire him for both! Our guests loved him! Matt is truly an extremely nice guy, and we really enjoyed getting to know him throughout the process as we continued to watch him play around town. If you are looking for a violinist, Matt is perfect!

Beach wedding violinist

I found Matt on Instagram after my long search for a violinist for my beach wedding ceremony. I was super picky bc I wanted “Today’s hits” played at my wedding, but also in an acoustic violin vibe! We were actually out of state and he was able to help us from 8 hours away!
He was super responsive and was so knowledgeable about everything. He gave me a long list of songs (modern and classic) that were popular for weddings but also gave me the option to choose whatever song I wanted and he would learn it for us!
He was also super helpful with the timeline and knowledgeable about song length in comparison to bridal party length!
Day of wedding- he showed up on time, played amazing songs while guests were arriving and then compeltely nailed it with the bridal party entrance and my (bride) entrance! It was everything I had dreamed of! Our guests still talk about him and the music and my only complaint is that I couldn’t sit in the crowd and listen to him!!!! Super reasonable and very nice guy! 10/10 would def recommend!

Touch of class for our ceremony

Matt added a great touch of class to our outdoor ceremony. Appearance was professional, performance was excellent. He had a wide selection of classical and modern music, plus he added one custom song at no charge, so we were able to pick our favorite contemporary dance song for the pre ceremony time. It was really neat hearing him turn a dance club song into something that perfectly fit the formal occasion. Nervous and distracted as I was, and even though we were outside, his equipment was perfectly audible above a crowd of 100. Even better, we sprung for the video package with our photographer, so Matt's music is now the soundtrack to the movie of our favorite day ever. We paid $535 total for an hour ceremony plus an hour cocktail service before the reception. Well worth it, it will definitely be part of our memory of that day forever.

The most perfect day.

Matt was absolutely amazing and his beautiful music was more then we could have ever imagined! It was so easy working with Matt because he was always so quick to respond and he always stayed on top of the details which made my life so much easier! The day of Matt showed up early with everything ready to go. I did not even see him until I walked down the aisle to the most perfect entrance song. Fantastic violinist for Ceremony!

I hired Matt, owner of SRQ Violinist, after seeing him perform at Art Ovation and at a restaurant downtown. Matt was extremely responsive and super easy to deal with. Matt played at our mass at St. Martha's church. He did a fabulous job! His music is so beautiful and numerous guests mentioned how wonderful he was. I would 100% suggest hiring Matt for your wedding or event.

Matt made our day absolutely magical. Let alone that his music ability is fantastic he is also extremely professional. He helped to arrange and setup use of his own personal keyboard so that I could performs a song to my bride during my vows. He truly went above and beyond and I can’t reccommend him enough.

Perfect Addition!

Matt was the perfect addition to our ceremony and cocktail hour! He was great with his communication and professionalism from the beginning. The song planning was simple, as he had a number of choices to go by and samples on his website/social media to view. We left the cocktail hour up to him, just asking to play some more upbeat and appropriate songs for the occasion and he really couldn't have done a better job! Our guests were impressed with Matt and his ability to provide that personal touch to our wedding!

We loved having Matt Dendy perform at our wedding! He performed during the ceremony and during the cocktail hour. When I found about him on Wedding Wire, I looked up his videos on YouTube and was amazed at his talent. He has a wide selection of songs from which to choose from classical to contemporary. He was very professional in our communications, and he dressed well on the day of the event. He was even kind enough to talk with some of our guests who were interested in his set up who also played strings as a hobby. We were very pleased with his performance and his services, and we can't recommend him enough!

Matt turned a simple beach wedding into a stunning event! My daughter was so surprised when she walked onto the beach and saw Matt playing and realized he was there for her. I cannot say enough good thing about Matt Dendy. My only regret is that we didn't hire him longer! He is EXTREMELY talented and knows soooo many songs of all genres. All of my guests have been raving about his performance. One of my cousins who is getting married in June already reached out to try and hire him for her destination wedding in Bermuda. I think that Matt was the highlight of our wedding! I can not count how many compliments I got on the violinist!
We are both busy doctors so had very little time to consult with Matt. We can him a coupe of songs and he sent us so many options, in the end we gave him control of the music haha and he knocked it out of the park!!
I would recommend him for any event! He did everything from classical to Bruno Mars on Violin!

Seriously, loved this! It ended up raining a little on my wedding day and we were forced to move our ceremony inside a cramped area. Matt was so accommodating! He put himself in a great last minute spot and made the necessary adjustments and was still able to perform spectacularly. I didn't get a chance to say goodbye, but wanted him to know that I really appreciated his flexibility and performance, especially having to adjust the length of the songs based on a much shorter walk for the bridal party. I (bride) pushed for a violinist for our ceremony and was not disappointed! I only wish I could have listened for longer! Thank you so much, Matt!!!!

I can't say enough positive things about Matt! I had a small, private wedding on a beach and Matt was the perfect choice for music before, during, and after the ceremony. Each guest commented on how talented he is as a violinist and he played a wide variety of genres and songs that everyone enjoyed. I was very impressed by Matt during my ceremony - he began to play the song that I chose to walk down the aisle to but my father walked pretty fast and we made it to the end of the aisle very quickly. However, Matt was able to smoothly wrap up the song in seconds and it sounded perfect. We even wanted him to stay longer than the reserved time after we heard him play! Matt is a very talented musician who will make your big day that much more special!

We came across videos of Matt playing when we were researching musicians for the ceremony and fell in love with his work! Our ceremony was on a terrace and we didn't have a lot of room for a full ensemble, and so we chose to go with Matt! He did a phenomenal job, and gave us exactly what we wanted! Matt’s music was absolutely beautiful!! He played solo violin for our wedding ceremony and he played violin accompanying current tracks for our cocktail hour and dinner reception. Everyone loved it!!! We originally heard him playing at State Street brunch and knew instantly he would be perfect. If you haven’t heard his music, do yourself a favor and go see him play!! My husband and I got married this past weekend in Sanibel, FL and we hired Matt for our ceremony music. Matt was amazing from the first phone call through the day-of; all of our guests were blown away by his talent and everyone had something good to say. Matt was very communicative throughout the whole process and he was able to play every song I requested for the ceremony. He was incredible and a fantastic addition to our day!! Matt is fabulous, simply fabulous! When I hired him for a private party my girlfriends and I were all hanging out casually before a meeting in my home. When he whipped out his violin I saw a few girls eyebrows go up. When he started jamming to The Rolling Stones all eyes were on Matt for the rest of the evening. Cool, fun great music. His repertoire runs the gamut from rock to classical and pretty much everything in between. Matt rules the violin.

Hiring Matt to play the violin during our ceremony and cocktail hour was probably the best vendor decision we made in our wedding planning process. Matt was amazing! The only thing I would have done differently was to have his drop cloth below his violin coordinate more with our decor, but he did a great job of setting himself up away from the picture areas and in a way that you could easily hear the music he played. He also helped us with the officiant microphone. He was fantastic!

Matt came highly recommended to us by a member of the Sarasota Orchestra. He was very accommodating with music selections adding several others to fill time that were similar and appropriate. Matt spent time rehearsing with another instrumentalist and brought his own amplifying equipment (the wedding was outside). Matt was awesome! He knew exactly what we were wanting. Matt was the Violinist for our Ceremony and Cocktail hour. He played pop songs for the cocktail hour and his music was so beautiful for the Ceremony. A few days before the wedding we decided to do a song for the lighting of Unity candles. He had not played the song before but said he could do it. He did it wonderfully. I remember hearing it during the lighting. He was very friendly and professional. You can tell he knows what he is talking about. I requested a special songs to walk down the aisle to and he was more than happy to print and learn the music. I also had a few requests for the cocktail hour. He explained to me that he had a music set list for cocktail hour but he was more than happy to add the songs that I wanted to that list. He told me the list is just a general cocktail hour wedding list and he can easily learn new songs that are requested. He also provided me with a printed out sheet of songs that he does. My guests really enjoyed it. The ceremony music was exactly what I pictured. He provides a great service.

I had a church wedding. Matt was very knowledgable and familiar with churches and the parts of mass. It was comforting to have him because of his expertise. He made me feel at ease. I could not recommend Matt enough! I requested a Billie Eilish song that sounds so beautiful in violin and asked if he’d be able to do that and boy did he deliver! He creates other tracks that play behind the violin and the sound was so beautiful. We had so many compliments from our guests.
