Heather was amazing! She has years of experience and is an asset to the Spring Chateau. She was very helpful and set up a remarkable experience for my wife and I; Honestly, it felt like we had an additional wedding planner. We had an outdoor patio ceremony and it was beautiful — I encourage everyone to envision that option before you select the chapel. The food was great, our guest complimented the food all night. Overall you’ll have an awesome experience and a great time here. Also, if you plan your wedding in the evening on Fri/Sat you’ll get a fireworks show that’s included! Thanks Heather for all your hard work!

Heather is awesome and really did everything to make sure my wedding ran smoothly. I was very impressed that the owner is also not afraid to get his hands dirty as well. It was a perfect night and could not have done it without them.

We recently held our wedding and reception at the Spring Chateau...What an awesome experience!! We scheduled our event almost a year in advance. All of the important details of the contract were well explained and documented. We also decided to use one of their preferred caterers.
The venue was absolutely gorgeous! Crystal Chandeliers, several choices in linens, table center pieces, up-lighting...this place has it all! Our wedding coordinator Lynn, was extremely professional and flexible. We asked for several changes within a couple of weeks (even days) before our scheduled event and all of our requests were fulfilled! I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I can tell the Owner is very passionate about delivering a flawless experience. All of the staff were extremely helpful, professional and friendly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VENUE!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!! WHAT AN ENCHANTING NIGHT!!

Spring Chateau was absolutely fabolous!! They have an amazing staff, affordable pricing, great vendor recommendations, and a captivating "spring" venue scenery. Jennifer was very helpful in discussing all the guidelines and confirming all the arrangements requested, as I was a super involved, DIY bride. Much gratitude for providing me so much comfort during the entire planning process. I stayed in one of the cottages the night prior to my wedding. They were very accomendating, and I was able to truly relax before my big day. I made the mistake of accidentally locking myself out the room around 11pm and the owner of venue came to the rescue. I often saw him walking around the grounds, ensuring everything was in order. I remember when we attended the open house he was the the first individual to greet and connect with us. He seems to be a nice guy. I was overtly pleased with my wedding day. The chapel was lovely. We added tulle and fresh roses to the current set up. My photos were great due to the dreamy landscaping onsite. I had my reception at the Madison hall. They set up all the decor the night before, and it was truly picture perfect. My only regret was not hiring Janie as my wedding coordinator. I originally wanted her as wedding coordinator, but I mistakenly allowed my family to convince me out of it. I hired a few of the staff members as servers for the Pappas Seafood delivery I had at the reception. For the little time she regulated things, I noticed how smooth things were, and was truly able to relax and enjoy my reception. Janie is a must, and defintely worth every penny! I wish i could do it again just so I could've utilized her services.

I cannot say enough good things about working with Janie....She was very professional, quick to return messages, flexible, and worked non stop to make our event a joy!!...don't be deceived by the exterior. ..the inside of the banquet hall is beautiful with tall ceilings and strings of lights....very clean, also. .they take outside catering and worked well with our catering director. ...

My husband and I simply could not imagine this place any more perfect than as is!! Everything was so perfect, from getting ready to eating dinner. The whole time I was nervous because I did not have time to see the reception hall or chapel before the actual wedding and right when I walked in both rooms it was exactly how I pictured. Both Janie and her co-worker were more than helpful and made you feel like family. They were also so flexible with whatever I wanted or need at the time. And to top it all off the fireworks at the end of the night just made it that much more complete. The night was amazing and I could not thank them enough for creating it for us!

I had the best Wedding Coordinator, Jaine. She helped me so much the day before and the day of the wedding. Tony's catering was very nice and the food was so good. I got some many compliments from family and friends. Kathy Cake's did a great job with both wedding cake and groomscake. The cakes were so good. I got to dance and really enjoyed my self with my friends and family without being bothered about anything. Jaine was really ggod anf took care of everything for me. She packed all my stuff and was not missing anything. Everything was packed so well. My friends and Family had a great time. "THANK YOU" Spring Chateau and Jaine for making my fairy tale wedding dreams come true!!

We had an amazing wedding! Family and friends had a blast. Lorie did a great job keeping us on track and making sure that we did not forget anything throughout the evening. Leon and Janie always seemed to be on the property to answer questions or make sure everything was perfect. Tony's food was fantastic! He was eager to please and willing to make adjustments to our menu taking into account guests with food allergies. Kathy's Cake was wonderful! LG Entertainment provided the DJ and lighting for the reception and really kept the party going. They were even able to provide Karaoke later in the evening. Everyone will be talking about this wedding for a while! Thank you to all of the people who made this such a memorable night!

I just had my wedding on Sunday, September 15, 2013 from 4pm - 9pm and it was absolutely amazing. Janie was the wedding coordinator assigned to me and she had everything in order. The decorations were beautiful. The food was delicious. The fireworks were spectacular. It was a very good value. I booked with them after the January open house. This was the first place I saw and I fell in love with the chapel and the Madison reception hall. My wedding had 140 guests and all of them loved the location. They got their food fast. It was such a pleasent experience dealing with Spring Chateau. I cannot recommend them enough for your wedding venue.

I booked my daughters wedding here and was extremely pleased. We had checked on several other places and this was the most reasonable and had it all as well as beautiful. We had a friend that wanted to cook for the wedding and most all places we checked did not allow this, we also were able to bring in our own liquor again most places made use use them which made the price go up. The people we worked with were professional and catered to our every needs. Spring Chateau is beautiful and I would recommend this venue to every bride, rather your on a tight budget or have an open check book. The reception hall is beautiful and the chapel is like something in a magazine. All anyone could want to have a storybook wedding.

Spring Chateau made my special day go very smooth. They listened to my every need and exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond to meet our needs. They worked with me the whole way through and always made sure that everything was to my likings. They made everything about me and always assured me every step of the way. If you are looking for an elegant all inclusive spot to have your special day, Spring Chateau is the spot. Very inexpensive and reasonable. I highly recommend this venue to everyone and anyone. We had an amazing time and still to this day our friends and family are still talking about how much fun they had and how elegant they made the venue look. The Spring Chateau is definitely a place to consider if you are having a wedding in the near future. The staff is very professional and respond in a timely manner. We checked out several other venues before deciding on Spring Chateau and none came even close. On the day of the wedding everything was perfect and the staff was always available.

My wedding a the spring chateau was beautiful! That staff was extremely helpful from planning until the day of and the clean up. Janie worked as our coordinator and I couldn't have done it without her. SHe kept things on schedule and made sure everyone knew where they were supposed to be when so the groom and I could enjoy ourselves. She even packed everything up and help my parents and new in laws load it up at the end of the night so my new husband and I could leave for our honeymoon. The place was beautiful and I Cant imagine getting married anywhere else. Loved the Spring Chateau!

The Spring Chateau made my wedding the perfect day I dreamed of. Our wonderful wedding coordinator, Janie Lopez, made my day (the bride) so relaxing and enjoyable. All of our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was.
The Chateau provides a large selection of decor that I used. This selection of decor, which was included in our rental of the venue and set up by the venue employees, was one of the main reasons I chose the Spring Chateau. The reception room was so elegant, romantic and beautiful! I would absolutely hold another event at this venue.

Our Spring Chateau wedding was fabulous! We were married in the Chapel, and had an outdoor cocktail hour beneath the gazebos. Then, all 250 of our guests dined, drank, and danced the night away (literally) in the large Spring Chateau Ballroom.

Honestly, at first I was skeptical about choosing this place due to the mixed reviews, but I am delighted that I gave the Spring Chateau staff a chance. In time, they completely, won me over. Jennifer, Janie, and Leon were fabulous. I was a bossy bride who knew exactly what I wanted, and they helped to make my vision of a music and poetry themed wedding come alive. In the end, everything about our wedding turned out perfect! The decor was beautiful, the grounds were well kept and perfectly manicured, and the service was excellent. We used their recommended caterer, Tony of T & M Catering, and the food was the best we've ever eaten at a wedding.
The hidden jewels of this venue are the four onsite cottages, which our bridal party enjoyed all weekend long, and the fireworks, which our guests are still raving about today.

If you are looking for a nice place to have your wedding or special event without spending a fortune, this is the place. They will work with you to give you what you want. We could not have picked a better venue! Our guests enjoyed every minute of it, and we did, too.

My husband & I were married on 3/31/12 & we couldn't have asked for better service. Janie & Jennifer were wonderful with advice, decorations, & making you feel welcome. Our editorial about the Spring Chateau is that we are generally picky and we do not settle for less. We researched so many places and we found the Spring Chateau to be the best place by far in terms of what you get for your money. It is a beautiful, clean, and classy place to hold your wedding ceremony and reception. Our wedding was on a cloudy day and we in fact had rain that day. It was so convenient that the Spring Chateau had a very nice and classy Chapel and a very large reception hall right across from the Chapel. Everything is paved and very well kept on the property and our pictures came out beautiful despite the crazy Houston weather! Our wedding was not rushed and our wedding coordinator was so knowledgeable and thorough. We had a very smooth planning phase. Although we spent very little on flowers we were complimented on the wedding and how nice the venue was many of our friends. The complimentary fireworks at the end were awesome!

We had our ceremony in the gazebo & reception in the Spring Chateau hall on 11/11/11. The place is absolutely gorgeous and the price was very reasonable! We did a package for 100 guests which included 1hr ceremony, 4hr reception, reception decorations (linens, tables, chairs, china, napkins) & the cottage (for me & my bridesmaids to get ready) for $3200. Our caterer, Tony (from T&M Catering), did an amazing job! And his prices were awesome too (only $11 per person which included beverage, entree, 2 sides, dinner roll)....especially for the quality of the food! I still have guests talking about how good the food was. I was glad we had some left over...we ate it the next day and it was still freakin' delicious! Willie, the bartender, was also great! He talked with me several times over the phone and was extremely helpful in figuring out how much of everything to buy - he knows his stuff! We used Kakes by Kathy and she worked with me to help figure out the cake decorations and the best way to put our custom cake toppers on the cakes (we had 1.5 pound toppers). She was fabulous and extremely professional. And, last but not least, Janie was on top of everything the day of my wedding. I would highly recommend hiring her for the day of (and she only charges somewhere near $250 which is a steal!).

Spring Chateau is fabulous! Everything went perfectly well ~ chicken Florentine tasted outstanding; wedding coordinator was on top of every detail; DJ played the top songs that kept the dance floor hopping; bartenders were personable and attentive; female minister had words of wisdom, and chapel's acoustics were perfect for guitar strumming as guest filed in. The all inclusive wedding package was well worth the money. I hated for the night to end.

We had both our ceremony & reception at Spring Chateau July 8, 2011. I found the facility through Wedding Wire.
When my mother-in-law & I visited, we were both VERY pleased at how nice the facility was inside and out. The place is absolutely gorgeous! The price was even better! Janie, our wedding coordinator, helped in deciding what we needed and didn't need to stay inside our budget. Packages are almost customizable!
We did a package for 100 guest, we got: 1hr ceremony, 4hr reception, caterer, reception decorations & the cottage (for me & my bridesmaids to get ready) for $4,800. Everything was included, no extras for tables, chairs, china, napkins, ect.
Our caterer, Chef Tony, did an amazing job! We had about 10 different options for our menu, which with most caterers you have around 3. We received 2 meats, choice of salad, 2 sides, rolls and choice of beverage. I still have guests come up and compliment on how good the food was. One guest said, "That was the best food I have EVER had at a wedding!" Which my husband and I totally agree!
The professionalism and flexibility of the staff was fantastic. Janie was in contact with me 24/7 and responded to my emails very promptly. They held an Open House, where we met all their preferred vendors and sampled food from the bakers and caterers. I even got to take my bridal portraits on the property for no extra cost!
I recommend Spring Chateau to ANYONE. The HIGH quality of service we received was unbeatable, especially for the price.

I had an amazing wedding at Spring Chateau. Kedra was amazing! She was flexible to my schedule and even stayed late when she knew I was coming by to talk about wedding details. Everything was perfect on my wedding day. I will recommend this venue to everyone. The price wasn't outrageous and the venue was beautiful. The website doesn't do it justice at all. Its great. GO THERE YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED!!

I do not understand how ANYONE could have anything bad to say about this place. We got married at Spring Chateau and received many compliments on how nice the facility was.My wife and i could not have been more satisfied with the service and flexibility of Janie (our provided wedd cord.) and the rest of the staff. The price was well within our budget especially considering how nice everything was.We were treated like a king and queen and they even added extra tables AT NO CHARGE, after the reception had already begun(too many guest did not rsvp). Friendly staff, friendly service, and well worth it in my opinion...

You know when I was looking for a vendor to hold my ceremony and reception I read the bad reviews about Spring Chateau, but my fiancé (now husband) had a good feeling about this place (after reading reviews) and went with it! We paid for our own wedding, and after looking around they had the most reasonable pricing! And It was the best decision we made towards our wedding. The place was wonderful! they had everything already ready for us when we walked in. Janie (the wedding coordinator) was wonderful! AMAZING!!!! She had called my DJ, bakery, food, and minister to make sure what time they would be arriving and what time they would be setting up. I cannot express how wonderful this place was! For our reception I did nothing but have a great time! my wedding went smoothly... I could not understand what the bad reviews were for.... the price I thought, was very reasonable.
They made our perfect day possible! Our wedding day was March 6, 2010

The website does not do this venue justice. It is a wonderful place to have your wedding and reception. Wonderful staff is important to me and you will receive just this. I recently had my wedding at Spring Chateau and I thought it was absolutely perfect. The ceremony was held in the chapel which is perfect for any nice and elegant ceremony! The reception was at their Spring Chateau hall which I absolutely loved! We purchased more of an all inclusive package, so we used their food and cake vendor. Tony's catering did a fantastic job! The food was excellent and all the guests were very pleased with the food. I even think a few people got the caterer's information. Cakes by Kathy did both of our cakes and they came our beautiful and delicious! We didn't even have an grooms cake left over! Janie was our coordinator and did a fabulous job before, during and after the wedding. She took care of everything and made sure things were done just like we wanted. I would definitely recommend this venue to family and friends! My wedding was perfect and I did not have one complaint. For you venue searchers, I would definitely add Spring Chateau to your list of venues to see!

We had the perfect wedding at Spring Chateau. The tables were setup just as we requested, it was gorgeous! The food was phenomenal, we still have friends raving about it weeks later. They worked with us 100% on the wedding package and allowed us to bring in our own DJ and bartenders which saved us money, which was a huge deal for us. The wedding cake was included in the package, we added extra bling to it for a very reasonable price and it was delicious! The day of coordinator did a good job keeping things going with the first dance, cake cutting and all that, the night went by so fast, it was perfect having her there keeping us on track! I highly recommend Spring Chateau for any event!

They really work with you trying to meet your expectations according to your budget. Cake, food and decoration was great. Gabriela at the office did an excellent job concerning decoration, suggesting ideas that would meet my needs, listening to all my request and following them to the end so everything could be as planned. I was very happy with the spring chateau and my cordinator Jenifer took very good care of us. I thought everything turned out beautiful the only negative thing i could say is the flow of the reception didnt go well at times maybe they needed a little more help or should have been more prepared but in the end it all went well and we are happy and probably the only ones who noticed the small things.

I wanted to send our thanks for the best wedding reception a bride could ask for. The reception was amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better venue. From our first meeting I was so impressed with the organization of the process and knew the Spring Chateau was the place for our reception. To say it exceeded our expectations is certainly an understatement! The Madison was absolutely gorgeous and the service was amazing. The staff was so attenative, professional and friendly.

I can't tell you how many compliments we received about the Spring Chateau. The guests loved the atmosphere and the presentation of it all. We were so pleased with the outcome.

Spring Chateau was wonderful. Janie, Jennifer, Leon , and David were all very professional and very helpful in the planning of our wedding. The venue was quite beautiful as well as provided anything and everything you would need for your special day. We used the 3 bedroom cottage that is on-site and we are so glad we did. Being able to get ready in what amounts to a 3 bedroom apt., on-site was great. My bridesmaids and I were able to spend the night together and wake up the day of the wedding with all the comforts of home. Our photographer had so many options for picture taking as well. The grounds are well kept and gorgeous. The palm trees, water fountain, and gazebo-like area were great. The chapel was very traditional in style but that is exactly what we wanted. The Spring Chateau reception room that we used was beautiful as well. Very spacious and once decorated in our colors was very nice. My only criticism would be that they did not have the colors we needed when planning for the table linens, napkins, etc. We did, upon there referral, have to go to a place called "Perfect Touch" to get the colors we needed. They were amazing too. Prices were definately competitive with other venues. One of the biggest draws for us was being able to do the ceremony, reception, pictures, and everything in one location. Our family and friends were very impressed. We would highly recommend Spring Chateau!

Everyone one really loved our wedding! We got so many compliments and most of all we (the bride and groom) were happy! I would recommend Spring Chateau because the price is great for all that you get. I shopped around alot and have been to many weddings. I truly felt we got the best deal for such an all inclusive package. I recommend hiring the wedding planner to go with your wedding package. It makes your day go smoothly. And the fireworks at the end of the reception is just the icing on the cake!!

This venue is ah-mazing. My family still can't stop talking about how gorgeous everything looked. Most of our interactions were with Janie, and I highly recommend insisting on dealing with her. Janie was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions, and provided a lot of additional advice and assistance when we first started our planning process.
Spring Chateau, and especially Janie, went above and beyond for our wedding day. The women were using one of the on-site cabins to get ready, and Janie allowed the men to use one of the other cabins (not something we had requested beforehand).
The way they set up the payment plan in their computer system was a little confusing - we'd been told it was fine for us to make payments here and there, as long as we were paid up by a certain date. I'd still get a monthly email stating that we had lapsed in payments. Apparently this is just a computer system issue, and there was a note in my file saying our payment method was fine.
I can't say enough good things about this place!

My wedding was 8/4/12. I was very pleased with the service and quality. I fell in love with the venue from the first time I viewed it! It is a very lovely facility and believe it has so much more potential! I love that they have different halls to choose from for the reception. I had ample time to decorate and set everything up! I was very satisfied overall. The only thing I was not satisfied with was the cabin that I and some of the bridal party stayed in the night before the wedding. There were not enough towels and the shower water did not drain fast. I was always in contact with the staff and often stopped by to visit. I was able to do my bridal shoot on site as well! Again, overall I was pleased and recommend the site to others!

Overall we had a great experience at Spring Chateau. There was a few incidents during the planning stage that were mistakes on their part, but they made up for it by reimbursing us for other things. By the end of it, everything went off without a hitch. We would have liked a different wedding planner. The one assigned to us did not mesh well with the mother of the bride, but after a few heated moments and tense talks everything was exactly how we wanted!
I would definitely recommend this venue to friends and family!

We selected the Spring Chateau for our ceremony and reception. The selling point of this facility was the beautiful chapel and reception venues as well as the palms and outdoor areas (the palms were pretty and green even in the middle of winter)! I will admit that working with the staff was VERY frusterating at first. BUT, they have just recently undergone a change of ownership and the people are much easier to work with and trust! I would suggest visiting the facility and meeting with the staff before booking just to make sure you are comfortable! If you do book your date with them....I DEFINATELY recommend using Carol's Catering Service (http://www.carolscateringservice.com/) and the wedding coordinator Jainie!! They were so helpful and familiar with the facilities and helped to make my day stress free!!! My day was perfect and everything was absolutely beautiful!!

All i have to say is, JANIE IS PERFECT! So very helpful!!! Wonderful coordinator.

The owners.. i feel like they have other stuff on their mind.
Their catering service is AWESOME!

I did not use the venues, cake lady, flowers, DJ, photographer, table cloths or chairs.

Cottages are very outdated, but not really a big deal.

I got married in October, it was beautiful! I loved my special day!

I did not have my wedding here, I had my wedding at Le Jardin, but I would have to say that this place is very nice. They do offer an outdoor or indoor type of wedding, and the staff was very friendly.

The Spring Chateau is a Beautiful place, they do great upkeep on the place. I ran into a few problems with them along the way.
They are NOT very good and responding back to anything, I had to call many times to even get a receipt for my payments.
They provided me with 2 Wedding Coordinators. The First one Stephanie, got into some complications with the Spring Chateau and no longer was my coordinator, I only found out when I stopped by to talk about my payments, (which they made me over pay, but thankfully it was resolved) 3 weeks before my wedding. We had our Ceremony in their Chapel building and our reception in the Spring Chateau main building. The Chapel can look a little on the "cheap" side if you don't dress it up w/ Flowers & a runner. The main building has a very nice set up w/ their pretty lights hanging from the ceiling. Made for good photos... I do have a couple complaints though.
#1 Jennifer was very nice and helpful but seemed like she wasn't around a lot. When I would ask anyone else to answer questions they either seemed unsure, a little rude or not very helpful.
#2 They do fireworks at the venue and I was told by a couple people at the venue that that would be my "send off" at 10pm. The night of the wedding their security guard told the wedding planner that fireworks had to go off at 9pm and everyone needs to head outside b/c its almost time. Here we are dancing having a good time w/ friends & family and we have to rush outside to see the fireworks then go back in to finish the night. We did not buy bubbles, confetti or anything for the send off because I was promised fireworks at 10pm

When I booked the venue for my wedding, I was working with one lady. When she quit, no one called to inform me, and she hadn't documented what we had discussed. I had to start over with a new coordinater. The prices went up, and the price at the time of contract signing wasn't honored.

I had an outdoor wedding. I was told that I would have 15 minutes next to the oasis with running water, the water wasn't turned on until we asked them to turn it on. We were told that the sprinklers were on a timer, so they might come on during the ceremony, which they did and they smelled like sewage!

The heat hadn't been turned on in the building, so my brides maids and I had to get dressed in the cold. Sometime during the reception, my husband went to look for the thermastate. Half the reception was over by the time the heat came on. People actually had to leave because it was too cold in the building for them!

This Place had an awesome Chapel. The banquet hall was adorable too. The whole thing was beautiful. It was the first place I checked out and I was sold. It was a quite pricey however. We had the wedding on a friday night and saved 1000 bucks.

We ended up having a fine time at our reception, but we had a few issues leading up to and including the day of our wedding. Unless you have really organized family members who will take control of the itenerary during the ceremony and reception, we would definetely recommend hiring the coordinator. We had Janie, who was very professional and seemed to be on top of things. She really did help relieve the normal stresses of wedding day activities. We really only had issues with some of the ending financials being different than what we had expected. Our suggestion would be to save your recepits. Another issue was that it seemed like we were being rushed towards the end of our reception to exit as quickly as possible. Receptions already seem like they fly by, without having to look around during the last hour and see decorations and linens being taken away while we are still trying to enjoy our time. I will say that entering our reception nearly took my breath away, it was so beautiful. Our guests have all said that they had a fabulous time, and the fireworks were truly magical. We had a very short period of time to plan our wedding and Jennifer (another coordinator) worked feverishly with us to help plan our perfect wedding in such short notice. All in all, the good outweighs the bad and we would probably recommend this venue to others.

I had an awesome coordinator. Janie was the one thing that made the day go smoothly. The owners are unfriendly and you see them just sitting in the corner watching every move. Also when my guest got to the reception, they weren't allowed in because they site didn't have the updated contract with the new reception time.

Well here's an recent review our daughter's wedding turned out to be a nightmare her wedding was 12.31.2020, when we booked the venue a year before the wedding with the previous wedding coordinator she was great. When the wedding coordinator changed everything went south from no returning of calls.
The bridesmaids cabin was very cooled and dirty we had to get dressed in 40 degree weather even colder in the cabin. The rest room are outdated with rusty fixatures.
The owner inform us that temperatures would be taken at the door before entering the event. No temperatures was taken. As, the MOB I can't keep watch over everything.

What really put an sour taste in my mouth a gift was "STOLEN" from us we contact them within 24 hours regarding the missing gift. I contact them again on 1.2.21, before and after my father funeral. Went back to venue on 1.4.21, and spoke with the owner(Leon) and the wedding coordinator (Odessa), the both of them was no help at all. The venue doesn't have camera's. The only people was left after the event was the owner, wedding coordinator, bartenders, security and the cleanup crew now who has the gift?

Also, please don't leave anything in the cabins, because everything will be thrown away.

Dishonest management practices

In about April 2017 my wife and I visited the Spring Chateau and met with the manager Leon Wright to discuss having our wedding there. We agreed to have our wedding there and scheduled it for October 26, 2018. At that time, communications were sent by email from an employee named Gabby. Gabby informed us that our wedding rehearsal would be scheduled for the Thursday prior to the wedding at 6pm.
Since our wedding rehearsal was during the week, members of our bridal party had to request off of work early and fly in early from different states. My wife’s 92 and 86-year-old grandparents also flew in from Denver to make it to the rehearsal. In addition to that, we had to pay to have vendors attend the rehearsal.
When we arrived at the venue, the gates were locked and there was nobody there. We called the Spring Chateau and left voicemails but there was no response. We even sent emails. There was another family also waiting who said that their rehearsal was scheduled for 6 pm in the chapel (which is where our rehearsal was as well- they double booked us). My family and I attempted to do a rehearsal in the parking lot of the business next door to the venue.
The next day we were hoping to receive a call and at least an apology from the Spring Chateau but they did not reach out to us. I called and spoke to a new employee names Elizabeth who stated that Leon was busy at the moment. My wife and I went to the venue in the afternoon and spoke with Leon. Leon already knew about the issue because the other family had already contacted him (which made me upset that he did not reach out to us). My wife and I were very upset because we were a day prior to our wedding without a wedding rehearsal and all Leon kept saying was that Gabby no longer worked there and he knew nothing about the rehearsal. We explained that that was an unacceptable excuse and that regardless of who works there, they were aware that we were having a wedding and had not had a rehearsal.
Long story short, I requested a refund for the rehearsal, vendor fees, and for an additional table I’d added for the reception. Leon agreed to refund us $325.00. I asked him to put the agreement in writing and he wrote a promissory note that he would refund the money a week after the wedding. In addition, Leon stated that we could come to the venue early to get ready and use the chapel. Weeks after the wedding we did not receive a refund so we reached out to the Spring Chateau. It took about two weeks to get a definite response. A new employee (apparently Elizabeth no longer works there) emailed stating that we owed the Spring Chateau $480.00 for coming to the venue early and cake plates and forks. I spoke with Leon who became loud with me and argumentative. Leon lied and stated that we did not have permission to enter the chapel or the reception area. He also lied in saying that the venue provided cake plates and forks (we have proof that we provided our own). I reminded him that he told us that we could come early and that his employee also helped us set things up while we were there. Leon also accused us of having a full rehearsal in the chapel which was also untrue. We were robbed of a full rehearsal which had a negative impact on our ceremony. I also pointed out to Leon that none of these charges were presented to us until after we requested our refund (almost two months after the wedding).
I am beyond disappointed with the way this has been handled and it’s evident that these false charges are an attempt to deter us from the refund promised. It is very sneaky, under handed, and unbelievable that Leon would go through such great lengths to avoid doing the right thing.

I don’t recommend

Poor service. The venue was supposed to contact us to make arrangements for our event and did not contact us at all. We had to contact them a few weeks before our event because we had not been contacted. We ended up putting together our own table decorations. We had requested a set of colors for decor before signing the contract and they said it was posible to do it. It turns out they didn’t have what we needed and we had to improvise with other linens the venue had. We paid for more guests than we actually had and did not receive the remaining food to take home.

My Wedding was July 15, 2011 - And the Day was AMAZING!
However I have NOT rated the facility but would rather RATE THE OWNER and My Coordinator Janie.

Janie was absolutely amazing - She helped in everyway she could and the ceremony and reception went off without a hiccup, they were flawless. I did not stress out about anything - I stayed at the facility the night before and the rehersal went by perfect, and accomodations (cottage) was perfect. I would highly recommend to hire her if you do in fact choose this venue. She gets 10-Stars!!!!

The decor and facility itself is nice, a little old but very elegant. One draw back, there is NO A/C in the Bridal Suite or Mens/Womens Restrooms. YIKES! I recommend getting ready somewhere other than the Bridal Suite or you will MELT!

Now the reason for me not rating this place with 5 Stars is because of...
THE OWNER - TALK ABOUT UNCOMFORTABLE.

THE OWNER - walk around just staring at everything everyone is doing.

THE OWNDER argued with my bartenders, DJ, and my coordinator. Now correct me if I am wrong please - but if you have an employee that does not do something you have asked or they are supposed to do, shouldnt you take them to the office and repremand them there, NOT IN FRONT OF THE GROOM!!!

THE OWNER - Didnt believe my bartenders were TABC certified and constantly reminded them of the rules that you have to follow, now both of my bartenders work for a highly established and reputable restaurant chain (32 restaurants to be exact)they do have a license and do know the rules.

THE OWNER - told my DJ he had to remove all his cords and lights because he didnt like the way it looked. That he was an electrician and the DJ did not have the proper cords, and shouldnt have put lights on the balcony.
Um excuse me OWNER - where the hell else can you put them.

THE OWNDER - wanted my DJ to use BRIGHT ORANGE EXTENSION CORDS, instead of the nice pretty black ones he brought in to blend, which he also taped neatly to the floor. The building barely could accomodate the DJ and Band because the outlets were too far away. My DJ is also an electrician he knew what he was doing.

THE OWNER - saw me walking to the chapel and couldnt even say HELLO OR CONGRATULATIONS - TO THE BRIDE!!! I mean REALLY - I just dropped a lot of money to have my beautiful wedding here and you couldnt even say Congrats!!!

Now the reason I say THE OWNER, is because that was his favorite line - "I AM THE OWNER!!!!"

Now he charged me $75 for one extra table, $50 for a portable bar we didnt use, and we didnt even use the Free Fireworks show, you think he could have given us the table since we opt'd out of the fireworks.

If you can avoid THE OWNDER, it will be amazing, but if NOT at least your guests will never have to know - mine didnt THANK GOD!!!

JANIE WAS THE BEST - AND THAT IS THE REASON MY WEDDING WAS PERFECT!!!
