DJ Alex was great, we had a sit down meeting with him and went over the wedding timeline. Gave his the styles of music we wanted and he knocked it out of the park. The dance floor never emptied once, it stayed packed the whole time and the people raved about the great DJ.

Miguel, Aaron, and Abba were very helpful. We enjoyed working with them. They loved our playlist and so did our guest. We had a very diverse group of people who were dancing to hip hop, country, cumbias, pop, and Latin music. Miguel was able to blend the music to have everybody dancing and having a great time. He made sure to keep the party going and the timeline was seamless. I would hire them again if the opportunity presented itself for future events.

Our DJ's name was Alwx and he was awesome! Very professional and prepared. Some things had to change day-of and he tried to help make it as smooth as possible. I have already recommended them to people.

Miguel was great! We had a consultation prior to the event to go over what kind of music my fiancé and I like, and we went over the timeline of events for the reception. He kept the party going and was very fun/personable!

Booking Spotlight was one of the best decisions I made in planning my wedding. They were professional, flexible and helpful, but mostly SO MUCH FUN! The dance floor was packed all night long and we got so many compliments from guests about how great the DJ was and how our wedding was the most fun they had ever been to. I cannot recommend Spotlight enough.

The team at Spotlight Entertainment was nothing but helpful from the minute we sent an in initial inquiry and the DJ that played at our wedding, AJ, was incredibly professional and accommodating to our needs. AJ kept the dance floor packed from from beginning to end and really knows how to read a crowd -- we're so happy with how our party turned out!

Choosing to work with Aaron and Miguel was one of the best decisions we made about our wedding. Everyone has told us how much fun the music was and that the lighting was spectacular. Their photography for our day was perfect as well!

Could not have made the process any easier. Trust me, leading up to the "big day" the last thing you want to have on your mind is the logistics. Timelines, song lists, the flow of all the events that take place during the reception....the list goes on. From the get go they were quick to respond to our initial requests. From there they completely took over, set up a personalized meeting to go over the details. Then from there gave us a quick questionare with info such as preferred songs, first dances, songs we absolutely hate. Very detailed and simple. The day of the event we had no doubts that it would go perfect, and it did. Completely profession, fun, flexible, all of the things you would hope for. They truly made the event enjoyable, and the experience easy and hassle free. Again, on that day, the last thing you want to stress about is these things that Spotlight helped us with. These "problems" may seem small and not a big deal, but trust me, the day goes by so fast that any stress taken away from you is a blessing. Thank you again guys for everything, from my wife and I we truely appreciate it. We highly recommend Spotlight Entertainment to any and all people for any event. If you are searching for that affordable, fun, yet professional DJ and lighting services, look no more. They will take care of you.

Spotlight was such a pleasure to work with! They took away the stress of having to find a photographer, videographer, and Dj separately. The photos are amazing, video has made us cry every time we watch it. And Dj kept everyone dancing!

The guys at Spotlight Entertainment are awesome! They are professional, extremely personable, and truly amazing at what they do. We shopped around a lot for our DJs for our wedding; like many couples we knew we'd get what we paid for if we went with the least expensive option, but also we paid for the wedding ourselves so we did not have an unlimited budget. We absolutely could not find another company who could beat the services and quality of Spotlight Entertainment for the price. Not only did they travel over an hour to our venue (at no extra charge!!), have our dance floor full the whole night, but also stayed late and played music while people lingered. After our initial meeting with them both my husband and I said we wanted the guys at Spotlight Entertainment to be our friends, and our opinion of them only got better with time. They are so easy to work with, we planned our wedding from out of state and still got exactly what we wanted! Save yourselves the headache of searching around and book them with confidence knowing that you've found GREAT DJs for your special day!

We hired Spotlight for DJ and videography service.. We were very impressed with the whole process start to finish! Their Dj setup was beautiful and blended well with the hotel where we had our reception.. The Dj was fun and kept everyone dancing! Our video has brought tears to our eyes, it captured the day perfectly. I highly recommend spotlight entertainment, I have 2 of my friends hiring them as we'll based on what they saw at our wedding!

We hired Spotlight Entertainment for our wedding and reception at the Houston Museum of Natural Science in Sugarland, and they did an amazing job. Aaron and Miguel are probably the sweetest guys I’ve ever met. Even under stressful circumstances, they keep their cool and are only interested in making your day special. They played great music during the reception and had us on our feet dancing! They make the process of pulling your wedding music together a breeze!

Wow!!!!! They turned my "on a budget" wedding into a dream come true. Their prices were AMAZING for the service I received. They turned a small white tent into a CLUB!!!!! They knew every song I wanted and stayed with us to keep us on schedule but were not in any way bothersome. They were two of the sweetest guys I have ever met and I truly appreciated their hard work and amazing price! They really made my dream come true and I will be forever grateful. They also do lighting, photography, and video-graphy! They are so awesome!!!

Htown Sounds provided the music, photography, and videography for my wedding and they were great! It was a huge convenience to have one company provide all these services. The DJ had everyone dancing the entire night, and after viewing the video I even noticed people who do not typically dance on the dance floor. We were very impressed with the photos and video. Our most important moments were beautifully captured. They did such a wonderful job, my sister booked them for her May wedding as well.

Htown Sounds definately made our event marvelous! The upfront consultation answered all our questions and put worries at ease. They do everything expected of them and some! We used HTown Sounds for our wedding and was beyond impressed with everything. The choice of music was great, their set up was amazing, and their over all persona was perfect! Not to mention they are REASONABLY PRICED!

Very professional, DJ knew when to play romantic music and when to play great party music to keep everyone dancing! Overall they were very helpful with planning and never made us feel like we were asking too many questions while we planned the wedding. We highly recommend!!!

This DJ was the best I have ever heard and seen. He would play anything that was chosen. Stereo System ,Lights on diplay looked great and sounds WONDERFUL! If I ever needed a DJ, I would call this DJ, and If anyone asks if I know of a DJ, I would suggest this one...and give them this DJ's contact information. Very professional ,Prompt and very polite, responsible and very friendly. Thank You DJ!

htown sounds did a great job for our wedding. we had their dj and videography services performed. Compared to others they do their services for 6 hours and not 4 and their prices are really competitive. It was an easy going wedding and they made it a blast. I would recommend them to anyone.

We hired Htown Sounds for our wedding 6 months in advance. They were very responsive right from the start. We didn't have a wedding planner but they helped us plan the night anyway with an online form that detailed the night. The music was awesome and they kept the dance floor packed which was very important for us. I highly recommend these guys!!!!

Aaron and Miguel were awesome! They were so much fun and accommodating with our specific needs since we couldnt have special lighting due to a medical condition in the wedding party. They played all the songs we asked them to in a great order that worked, and they really kept the party going. They were patient with us as we were planning all of this from Hawaii and Seattle for our Houston wedding and had to make a few decisions last minute due to work requirements. Everyone at the wedding said they had so much fun and the DJs were awesome. They know how to get the dance floor packed and movin!!

I would highly recommend Spotlight Entertainment as your wedding DJ. The only problem I had was with their responsiveness to our payment. We made our final payment, but got an email saying we still owed the payment 2 weeks later. I thought my check was lost in the mail. Miguel confirmed that they got it, thankfully. Overall, AJ kept the party going, knew what songs to play to get the guests dancing, and was very very professional. LOVE!

We used Spotlight for our DJ, Photography and VIdeography for our August 22nd wedding at Las Velas Houston.
We had to plan our wedding in 5 months, and were so relieved when we met with Aaron and Miguel. We had HH at their office downtown and within 5 minutes my husband and I were ready to book. They were so genuine and made us feel comfortable, and didn't beat around the bush or drag out the meeting to discuss pricing/details (which many vendors do).

DJ- My husband is a music guy, so he was very specific about what he wanted. We discussed our favorite songs/artists for them to get a feel for what we wanted and left it up to them. In conversation we requested if Miguel could be our DJ, if he was available, since we already felt comfortable with him. They gave us a survey list for us to fill out and that was that! Although on the wedding day I had a wedding coordinator and most of the music picked out, it was all on cue and couldn't have been more perfect. During the reception, Miguel took it away based on the energy & the dance floor NEVER emptied out and got even more crowded! I had people asking me about the DJ for weeks post-wedding. 5 star DJ company. End of story.

Photo/Video-For us, this was synonymous for us and I actually looked for a company that could do it together. Why? I wanted the same look for both my photo and video. I didn't want some artsy/dark photographer and a super light, natural video to contrast each other. I was very happy with Spotlights portfolio, but requested to do minimal Photoshop and add as much lighting as possible because I had a venue with a lot of architecture/shadows. I also swapped out the engagement shoot for a bridal session, and Aaron and Miguel were very accommodating. I took my bridals 2 weeks before the wedding and got those and the wedding pictures 1mo. after, with originals and everything! Only tip I have is I would suggest meeting your photographers before, just to get a feel for them. Other than that, great!!!

at our Gala we wanted more line dance songs. I felt that if the DJ had played these, then the crowd would have danced more.

Jaime and his wife were excellent. They interacted with the guests and adapted to the flow of the party without forcing anything. We danced until the late hours and the party was a success thanks to their great work. Thanks!

Unprofessional and terrible company

Booking Spotlight Entertainment was the worst decision of our otherwise wonderful wedding day. My husband and I booked Spotlight Entertainment to do video at our wedding on Feb. 16, 2019. We purchased the 8 hours of videography coverage with a highlight video package.

-We received the first version of our highlight video on 7-2-19. In the very first shot, they had our wedding date wrong.

-My husband had planned a surprise for me during the wedding that he instructed Justin, our videographer, multiple times to make sure to capture my reaction to. That footage was nowhere in the first highlight video edit and we had to ask for it to be included, despite making it clear from the beginning this was a huge part of our night.

-At the beginning of the wedding, our emcees had about 3 minutes of speaking and then they introduced the entrance of our families. There is zero footage of our emcees speaking or my family members entering. Justin managed to capture my husband’s family entering but nothing from our emcees intro or my parents and brother entering. When we repeatedly asked that my parents entrance be included in the highlight video (because they had included my husband’s family), Spotlight failed to tell us that they had never captured that footage. We paid for eight hours of video and they failed to film the start of the wedding.

-During the cake cutting ceremony, we asked our parents to come up and feed us cake. Spotlight has no footage of my parents coming up and feeding us cake. Again, they captured my husband’s family but not mine. We asked for this footage multiple times and no one told us they didn’t film it.

-Again, we repeatedly asked for months during 3 different edits of the highlight video that these things be included because they were our favorite parts of our wedding day. Spotlight Entertainment never admitted that they didn’t capture that footage. We finally got tired of asking and told them to just send us the raw 8 hours of footage thinking we would hire someone else to edit the highlight video.

-On October 2, Spotlight finally mailed us the raw footage of our wedding on a USB. 27 minutes in, the file was corrupted. We called their office multiple times and no one picked up.

-2 days later, April emailed and said Spotlight would pick up the cost of a hard drive, put all the footage on that, and mail it over. Considering they sent us a corrupted file to start with, we didn’t feel all that grateful that they would “pick up the cost of a hard drive.”

-It wasn’t until we received the raw footage and went through every single file that we realized Spotlight never filmed the things we kept asking them to include. They could have disclosed in July that they never filmed my family, but instead we had to go through months of asking them to include footage they failed to capture.

-We provided our videographer with the same minute by minute schedule that we gave to our photographers. The photographers were able to follow the schedule without a problem and captured everything.

We have emailed Spotlight asking for a partial refund because major things that are extremely important to us (like my family!) were never captured. Spotlight hasn’t had the decency to even respond with an apology. Working with this company has been a terrible experience and I absolutely would not recommend it to anyone seeking videography services.
