Loved my experience at Spina! It’s exactly what you would think when shopping at a luxury boutique in NYC. They were the only store that offered me slippers to wear around while trying on gowns and browsing their multiple floors. My sales associate Carly was so great and really understood my vision and made really helpful suggestions. I didn’t feel pressured at all to make a decision or try on something I didn’t like. Overall it was a very personable and relaxing experience. -

Anna Sent on 01/19/2017From the moment I entered Spina Bridal shop, I felt special. I was greeted by Giselle who supplied slippers and hot tea for myself and my entourage (two sisters and mother). The space was cozy, well lit, earthy, modern and elegant. I had Giselle full attention during my appointment. She began by informing us about her business and the collections she carried. The gowns come from various international designers, of which she has exclusive access. Her select collection of gowns are unique, beautiful and thoughtfully chosen. Representing more of a gourmet tasting then a smorgasbord feast. Giselle was a welcome respite to the parade of bridal shops I had experienced. She offered personalized attention demonstrating genuine joy for her work. Instead of feeling tolerated by bedraggled employees of larger shops, my experience was one of "playing dress ups" that I remembered as a little girl. Giselle assisted in accessorizing silk gowns with gold crowns, back necklaces, sheer jackets, dramatic lace veils, etc.. She focused on every last detail to help me envision how I would look and feel the day of my wedding. Her professional demeanor was in perfect balance with the relaxed and fun atmosphere. I highly recommend Spina if only for the sheer enjoyment of it. -

I walked by Spina Bridal when I was in NYC just before I had gotten engaged, and I said to myself 'If and when I get engaged, I want to go there to try on dresses."
About a month later, I was engaged, and several months after that, I had an appointment at Spina to try on wedding dresses. It ended up being the only bridal shop that I went to. I purchased a dress there that day.
The customer service was excellent throughout my whole experience, starting with Kendall who was the bridal associate I had my appointment with. They allowed me to look through the racks myself and decide which dresses I wanted to try, rather than having a sales associate pull them based on what they think I would like. I found a couple dresses I really loved, and decided to leave to sleep on it. About an hour later, I felt like I didn't have enough information to make my decision(my sister didn't take the best pics), so I called them up and asked if I could pop back in. Kendall was super accommodating, got me back in within an hour, and I purchased a dress that day.
Fast forward to my wedding approaching, and the customer service at Spina continued to be exemplary. The owner, Giselle, was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, and I can really thank her, Spina, and the designer of my dress, Santos Costura, for making me feel like the most beautiful bride on my wedding day. -

This was one of the worst shopping experiences I ever had. I would give zero star if I could. I went to the salon this afternoon. The staff who received me and my best friend was incredibly rude. It was definitely not an intimate, relaxing experience that I was hoping for. I learned about the salon because my venue has Spina as their preferred florist and I was very happy to find out that they also sell wedding dresses. But even from the moment we walked into the salon, the lady who greeted us was very cold and not welcoming at all. She asked few questions about my preferences. She did not even ask about my venue, a common question most stylists would take into consideration when they pick out wedding dresses for the clients. She asked my price range and I told her my budget is on the modest end ($3500). My guess was that most dresses there were more expensive than the budget I told her so she was very, very, very impatient. She did not give much guidance or recommendation when we were browsing. Rather, she hastily picked out a few dresses for me. And while I was trying on the dresses, she did not care much whether I like a dress or not. She was definitely rushing me to switch to the next dress. I would only have the dress on for like 2 minutes and she would ask me to change to the next one. There was one dress she did not even bother to clip the back. She simply ask me whether I like it or not and whether it's worth clipping the back for me. How would I know whether I like the dress or not when the dress sits loosely on my body? In the end, there was a dress I really, really love and I asked her the price. Instead of answering me directly, she was like "I'll email you the price and information." And when she did email me, the email begins with "it was great to meet you and your sister today." I did NOT go with my sister. I went with my best friend. Simply because we are both Asians, she just assumed we were related. (Also because she did not even bother to ask who my friend was.) And guess how long our appointment was? It was less than 25 min in total. I booked the appointment for the entire hour! I am still so shocked that I was treated in such an unprofessional fashion simply because I gave a relatively modest budget. The dress I picked out was so pretty and I would very likely buy the dress if the staff had not been so rude to me and my friend.
