We just had our wedding this weekend at Hiawatha Beach Resort in Walker. We had the privilege of working with Ryan and Leo. Ryan was very accommodating, friendly, passionate, understanding, and adaptive. He helped he us create a plan that would ensure our day would go smoothly and we would not have to worry about anything! Leo, was our DJ on the day of the wedding. He was amazing! As the bride, I was busy getting ready, taking photos, and preparing for a very special day. Leo ensured that we could get ready and that he would handle everything we needed. The ceremony was beautiful and beyond what we had expected. The transition to the reception went so smoothly. Leo, was energetic and hyped up the crowd! His energy made the whole reception feel so fun. When it came time for the dance, the playlist chosen was awesome. We provided a list of songs to play and he built off it perfectly. We could tell Leo was intentional, thoughtful, and considerate to what we were envisioning for the day. If you are looking for a DJ, I highly recommend this company. If you are looking for an upbeat, passionate, driven, and exciting DJ this is the one!!

Best Wedding DJ!
Ryan went above and beyond for our wedding reception! In one of our meetings beforehand I requested songs from Bridgerton be played during the dinner, and he downloaded all songs from all seasons to accommodate my wishes despite never hearing them before! So Awesome!
He was very professional, and knew how to keep the dance floor busy. Whatever we asked, he accommodated. The dancing on a cloud was also so cool!
After going to a few weddings this past year, and witnessing other DJs work, we are confident to say Ryan is the best we’ve seen! We had a great experience with Ryan, and we even received lots of compliments from our guests on his performance! Highly recommend Ryan Burns to anyone wanting to have an epic wedding day!

I reached out to Ryan a little over a year before my wedding date. Both my now-husband and I immediately liked him on the first consultation call because it was obvious how much he cared about his craft and the people he worked with. At first, my family was a bit hesitant about how Ryan could incorporate Jamaican/reggae music since my side of the family is Jamaican, and this would be his first Jamaican wedding. But Ryan for sure came through on the big day! I gave him a couple of my favorite Jamaican dance songs, and he did his research. He created a dope playlist that had everyone dancing, and my family was very impressed. Ryan incorporated my culture and my husband's culture wonderfully, and it couldn't have gone any better. I'll definitely be referring him to anyone I know who's getting married, because he truly cares about making sure everyone has a great time. Leo was our DJ this past weekend at Breezy Point and he was just a delight. He’s great at making you confident he’s got it all managed, but he’s ready to be flexible too. I felt guilty we were a few minutes late for our entrance and dinner and he was just rolling with it said no big deal we can start when you guys are ready! Great balance of music, they asked our preferences for genres by percentage and I could definitely tell they were all represented, and from 3-78 everyone was on the dance floor having a great time. Highly recommend!!!

Ryan was absolutely incredible at our wedding. At the ceremony he provided all the equipment that was needed, even mic packs and a microphone/stand for a special reading! Cocktail hour had the perfect music playing, grand entrance had all the guests up on their feet & partying! He kept the dance floor packed ALL NIGHT and knew exactly how to keep the energy flowing. His song choices were spot on, his transitions were seamless, and he even incorporated our special requests perfectly. I would highly recommend Ryan Burns and Spectrum Entertainment for your wedding DJ! Ryan was the DJ for our son's wedding recently and also our daughter's seven years ago. Ryan is well prepared, listens to the wishes of the bride and groom and keeps the flow moving. Ryan is in charge of the sound (when needed) during the ceremony, as well as the entire reception. He keeps everyone highly engaged and has a unique way of getting people onto the dance floor and staying there for the whole event! Every single detail is thought out above and beyond, and everything from ceremony music & speakers to hear the ceremony to cocktail hour/dinner background music to facilitating speeches to first dances to getting the whole dance started are on point! Also, quickly getting each table to take a photo with the bride and groom sounds nearly impossible, but it was so fun and went so well - such a fun idea!
He did my wedding 7 years ago and to this day we still hear all about how fun it was and how the dance was packed all night long. Literally the most fun night ever! He recently did my brother's wedding and it was exactly like that and more! All ages had SO much fun and at the same time together which you don't always see. Also, he quickly got each table to take a photo with the bride and groom, which sounds nearly impossible, but it was so fun and went so well - such a fun idea! No other wedding I've been to has ever compared; we are so lucky to have Ryan in our area for special events! :)

Ryan was the DJ for my wedding. Both my wife and I thought he was incredibly personable, an amazing emcee and a great host for the evening. He transitioned well between songs and accommodated our tastes very well. The dance floor was amazing. I think this was likely due to his great planning and multiple meetings beforehand to get to know each other and get your feelings on multiple things. Ryan did a great job! He kept things moving in an orderly fashion. Ryan was organized and prepared for everything. He was very creative with games and activities during the reception, and made sure he didn't do anything that wasn't wanted. We had such an amazing wedding at Heritage Bay Golf & Country Club, and kudos to DJ Ryan Burns for making it happen! Ryan did an absolutely wonderful job with our wedding. From nailing our audio for a ceremony held right on the docks of a lake, to speeches, videos of our late grandfathers prayer before dinner, and the most fun dance party I have ever been to, we could not have been happier. We had a great experience working with Ryan. Ryan worked with both of us on finding the perfect in between. As I am the outgoing dance all night and my partner is not at all and did not want to much extra attention. To my surprise Ryan was able to get my partner comfortable with the atmosphere and on the dance floor. More then I expected. Our guest really enjoyed the games we played that Ryan suggested and help get everyone in to it. The photo booth was super helpful with our guest not being big into dancing. Amazing DJ!
Spectrum Entertainment was a perfect choice for a DJ! Ryan did a fantastic job at our wedding in August, from contacting us to make sure he had all the important details to ensuring that everything was on track the day of our wedding. It really helped us relax and enjoy the night knowing that Ryan had the timeline handled. Our dance floor was busy the whole night!
I also recommend adding the photo booth option if you can - it’s great to have photos of all your guests to look back on when the day is over! Thank you for making our wedding day amazing, Ryan!

Amazing, detail oriented master of cermeonies who thrives on creating memorable experiences
Ryan was beyond fantastic, a true master of ceremonies. We had a wedding in the summer of 2023 that Ryan both DJ'd and did audio for the ceremony. Both events went flawlessly. His process was meticulous and detail oriented leading up to the ceremony, it even helped my wife and I plan events we weren't even thinking about! When it comes time to party there is no one better. He kept the dance floor packed all night. As far as value for the price, you won't find a better deal. His photo booth turned into a hit for everyone at the party and we even got a scrapbook of everyone's photos to remember the day. If you are looking for event/wedding hosting in Minnesota, I don't think you will find anyone better.

Ryan did a EXCELLENT job as our DJ from the moments leading to our wedding and on the special day. He does a great job at mixing the music and making sure there is something for everyone. He really does go above and beyond what is expected such as playing back our wedding vows during a slow song. Little details like that are what made our wedding day even more special. I would highly recommend Ryan as your DJ as he will make your wedding day AWESOME!!!

Ryan was such an amazing DJ! He worked with us to not only get to know me and my husband but also the vibe of our families to create the best experience for everyone at our day! He surprised us with making our winter wedding wonderland come to life by having snow for our first dance and just helping us make so many memories of our night! From crazy wigs from the past reappearing to surprise videos and recordings from our day! He also helped make our epic Star Wars grand entrance as husband and wife one to remember with lighting and of course theme music to build the mood!

Cannot overstate how great Ryan was for our big day. Of course the music was phenomenal and had everyone dancing, but beyond the music Ryan really knows how to entertain and keep the crowd engaged. He has so many fun games and ideas that make the night unforgettable and we had multiple people tell us how fun the reception was. All thanks to Ryan! He is professional and detail oriented, respectful and accommodating of needs and wants, and communicates very well. We really did not have an ounce of stress after Ryan got there. He entertained our guests all night and still made sure Luke and I were a top priority and took small moments to let us know that, which was something we really appreciated. I HIGHLY recommend using Spectrum Entertainment as your wedding DJ! Our night with him was absolutely perfect. Thank you Ryan!

We appreciated that Ryan was willing to go above and beyond to help make our day perfect. We received a lot of compliments from our guests on the song selection, sleek-looking white equipment, and the music videos that play on his tv screens. I'm a professional wedding photographer, so I come across lots of different vendors. Ryan at Spectrum Entertainment does an awesome job at creating the environment where people cant help but have a good time. The vibe at a reception doesn't just happen all on its own, you have to create the spark and Ryan has the personality and experience to do just that. You can hire a DJ to play music for the night, or you can hire at outfit like Ryan's at Spectrum Entertainment that will leave you with memories to last a lifetime!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Ryan and his son! The service we received was above and beyond- he was hands down one of our top vendors. Ryan helped with planning smaller details prior to the wedding (I.E. lighting, DJ setup, add ons for my specific wedding theme, monogram, photo booth, etc). He even went so far as to get a new machine to surprise me and my husband during our first dance and make it "snow" to fit our wedding vision. This surprise is what made our first dance so special and we are forever grateful for his thoughtfulness and attention to details and attitude to make things happen! In our pre-wedding meeting he made sure that his script fit exactly what I wanted and helped plan the perfect timeline to keep guests engaged and entertained throughout the night. He was very attentive throughout the night as well checking on me and my husband to make sure we were ok and let us know when we were moving to the next item on the schedule.
Even with all of the above he did fantastic at keeping guests on the dance floor or at the Photo Booth for fun memories- complete with a keepsake book for us to keep and look back on! His outgoing personality and way he navigates each situation is amazing for a party atmosphere. I still have guests talking about how fantastic the wedding was due to our fabulous DJ!
If you are looking for a DJ to elevate your wedding experience Ryan is it! His packages are absolutely worth it and his customer service skills are hands down some of the best. You will not regret this decision :)

I cannot say enough great things about the service Ryan provided as the DJ at my daughter's wedding. He took the time before the wedding to get to know them and also helped ease the stress the day of. Ryan was kind, respectful, personable and FUN! Hands down, best DJ ever! We had so much fun and everyone at the reception was saying how awesome you were! Leo also did a great job at the photo booth. What great memories they have from all the pics at the photo booth. There are not enough great things I can say about Ryan & his son Leo! They did a tremendous job at our wedding and kept almost all our guests on the dance floor the WHOLE night! We have gotten so many of our guests complimenting Ryan's performance and saying they will be reaching out to him when the time comes for their wedding. Ryan was also very accommodating when it came to COVID and postponing our wedding a whole year. Also, if you have any thoughts of adding a photo booth or upgrading your package I would highly encourage that. Leo did a fantastic job with our Photo Booth . Ryan is a very nice, generous, kind, and fun individual to work with. I would greatly consider Spectrum for your DJ service if you haven't already found one! Thank you so much Ryan!! Working with Ryan was nothing short of amazing! After working events with Ryan at Breezy Point Resort where I work with weddings, it was a no brainer to book him for my own wedding. Ryan’s attention to detail and professionalism is unmatched, and I’ve worked with many DJ’s! He is so personable and responsive. There needs to be more Ryans!
Too bad there is only one Ryan. Everyone who is throwing a party or a wedding should hire Spectrum Entertainment. Ryan is so much more than just a DJ and if you are tossing around whether to hire him or not, let this review help you decide. My wedding day went by flawlessly because of Ryan’s experience, expertise and overall “don’t worry, I got you” demeanor. I had so many things on my plate that day but honestly looking back I never once thought about my DJ - in a good way - because you shouldn’t have to worry about your DJ. Ryan was all set up way before the wedding, had my fiancé at the time all mic’d up and ready to go without me even noticing. At the end of the night I had so many compliments on how fun the reception was with the music and the extracurricular activities. Ryan is quick witted and not awkward (like some DJs). He had some great one liners that had the crowd roaring. Another thing I loved about working with spectrum is the attention to detail. Ryan will go over EVERYTHING with you. Which helps in so many ways. I’ve never been married before or hosted a wedding so having Ryan forewarn me and guide me on what typically happens at a wedding (especially when there is alcohol involved) and help me with the dos and donts was another thing I appreciate so much! There are so many things that no one really thinks about and for a DJ to also help be your mentor was something completely unexpected. Like I said “not just a DJ” he will make sure everything goes as smooth as it can for you. Trust me. You won’t be disappointed. I could just keep going on and on. The little touches like incorporating the electric slide into dismissing the tables, to the iced challenge, to buying us each a drink to the surprise at the end of the night… just confirms we made the right decision. Music is really an art and Ryan is an artist. You might think everyone loves dancing to Easy Lover by Phil Collins but Ryan will play it just to make you happy and it will show you that it just doesn’t have that many beats per minute - like Ryan said. He knows what he is talking about and knows what it takes to make people’s hips want to shake! (Ha ha I knew you would get a kick out of that!) Ryan did the most incredible job. I literally cannot say enough about how amazing Ryan is!! He went above and beyond for my day! He made sure it ran smooth and hyped up the dance! His set up is absolutely amazing!! I wish I got more pictures of it. He has a photo booth that took super high quality depth pictures and then he also provided us a flash drive and a cute book with it. It was totally unexpected and one more thing he included. He also included huge sparkles for our send off. He had so many amazing surprises for us.( I wish I had pictures because it was so cool). This happily ever after sign is also his and another surprise he brought for us. It was absolutely amazing!! He brought way more than I expected and it was beautiful. I can’t begin to express my gratitude for all he did. If your questioning who to book as a dj, don’t. Book him now! I promise you, you will not regret it! An amazing time and party!
Ryan was the DJ for my wedding and he did an amazing job! We had a rock n roll themed wedding, and we wanted our DJ to reflect that. He listened to everything I wanted and played the exact type of music we were looking for. His stage set up was amazing, and it felt like we were at a concert! His special touches really completed the evening. He brought us on stage to DJ a song, incorporated our bridal party speeches into the last song of the night, and had tv screens that played music videos, pictures our guests submitted, and even a picture our photographer gave him from our pictures earlier in the evening. So many of our guests complimented on his great service and told us how fun he made the evening. I would totally recommend him to anyone who wants to have a great party!

Ryan was amazing to work with at our wedding! He was so thorough with his consultation and really ensured that our event was exactly what we wanted. Picking him to host and DJ our wedding was such an easy choice for us, just looking at his website we could tell that he truly is passionate about what he does, and his work shows it. We asked for a 90’s party, and we got a 90’s party! The grand entrance to our reception was awesome because of his planning and enthusiasm. His set up was amazing, we had guests commenting on how professional everything was. We also used his open air photobooth and got a cute little book of everyone’s pictures that they signed from him. Spectrum entertainment was excellent to work with, and I hands down recommend using their service if you’re in the market for a DJ! You won’t be disappointed!

So Amazing
Ryan did all of our music for a ceremony, cocktail hour, and a reception. He was very sure to get all of the details beforehand and was determined to make our day the easiest it could be! His setup was amazing and he even added lights to our set up to add another dimension to our reception. I had the honor, pleasure and privilege to officiate my nephews wedding where Ryan at Spectrum Entertainment facilitated the sound and music venue. Having Ryan there was absolutely awesome!!! He worked with me to make the presentation and reception extremely enjoyable, fun and organized. One of the best features he offers is complete control of the music part of the reception. The dance floor was ALWAYS crowded and he made sure the music kept going without a hitch. He KNOWS weddings!!! He mixed it up with traditional and trending music and made sure EVERYONE was having a great time. My recommendation - spend time with him BEFORE the event to go over details. It makes it so much more enjoyable. GREAT job Ryan - THANK YOU for all you do!

Ryan and Cole were great to work with! Ryan was very concerned with making sure every detail was attended to and there were no surprises. The day of the reception, Cole, our DJ, made sure the bride and groom had exactly what they needed and orchestrated a GREAT event! Everyone wanted to music to keep going. There was something for everyone there.
I highly recommend Spectrum Entertainment! We didn't want the night to end!

On our wedding night, we had Cole as our DJ. He did a FANTASTIC job at keeping the dance floor full. Everything went perfectly as planned. Tons of great music and a wide variety of genres as well. Everyone had so much fun tearing up the dance floor.

When we were looking for a dj we had a list of about 5. Spectrum got back to us first and by their reviews they looked pretty good so we figured we would give them a try. We lived about an hour and a half from where we were getting married so all we had was a over the phone meeting with Ryan. He was very thorough with his questions and he valued our opinion and decisions. He was very professional and always kept us up on what was going on. What i liked about him was that he wasn't looking for an ordinary experience. He wanted to do something different and i am always down for something different. He was at the Ceremony early and setting up and when the reception came he was amazing! The photo booth was also amazing. Everyone that attended the wedding had nothing bad to say about the dj at all! I just want to say thank you for all that you did! It made the night for my wife and myself an evening that we will never forget!

We had an amazing experience with Ryan. He went above and beyond his duties as a DJ at our wedding. Not only did he play all the songs that kept people on the dance floor all night long he also dismissed tables for dinner and showed everyone how to user the buffet lines all of which were super helpful and unexpected. He also had some really fun games that were super entertaining. The photo booth he brought was also a big hit. He was very professional and helped us every step of the way. I would highly recommend Spectrum Entertainment for any wedding or event.

Ryan/Spectrum Entertainment was 5+ stars!! Ryan DJ'd my sons wedding and we could not have asked for better! We went with the the DJ package, photo booth (the bride/groom got a copy of all photos in a book where guests could sign), extra lighting, and extra music time! Ryan was fabulous! He kept in contact with us right up through and during the wedding reception, had spoke with the bride and groom to customize the wedding dance to their preferences prior to the event, hosted games and designated wedding dances, and placed the extra lighting as to support our decorating of the reception/dance area. It looked phenomenal! Ryan/Spectrum Entertainment will always be our first choice in Entertainment of our events! Thanks Ryan!!

Ryan was helpful and great to work with in the early stages of wedding planning. Based on our personality and music interests, Ryan chose Kate to DJ our wedding. After talking with Kate about our wedding day and music choices, we knew that she was the perfect fit for us. My husband and I have unique tastes in music ranging from Zelda Symphony music to Daft Punk. We even had her play the Star Wars main theme song for our ceremony recessional. Kate arrived very early to set up and made sure everything was ready to go. Her experience and professionalism showed, and she kept checking in with us throughout the wedding day to make sure we were happy and to let us know what was going to happen next (grand entrance, shoe game, first dance, scavenger hunt, etc.). She was flexible, accommodating, and seemed genuinely happy/excited to be there. She did an amazing job, and she kept people on the dance floor all night long!

Ryan is fantastic! I don't know that you can find a better DJ for your wedding. He was set up and ready to go earlier than expected. He was engaged with our guests and was extremely entertaining. He had everyone involved and was equipped with all the right songs to get people grooving on the dance floor. Spectrum was the DJ at our wedding in July 2016 and they did a wonderful job! All of our guests were up dancing at some point in the night and having a great time. They were very responsive when I had questions leading up to the event and very organized and professional which we appreciated. Would definitely recommend them as a DJ for anyone's special day!

Our wedding guests had a blast. As mother of the bride and hearing my daughter's and new son in law's favorite songs. I new Ryan would be who we will hire in the future. Great personality, good balance, easy to work with! He delivered exactly what my daughter hoped for and all our guests gave us positive feedback. Great DJ, kept the dance floor hopping all night, there was barely a chance to get off the dance floor because the flow of songs was so good. He was great with entertaining the guests during a trivia game and putting together the garter biding. We had many raving reviews from our guests about how great the DJ was and fun the dance was! Overall just a great experience

My husband and I had a great experience with Spectrum Entertainment! Very fun, and professional staff. We used the DJ services, as well as up-lighting, slideshow software, and photo-booth at our wedding reception. He had some awesome games planned through out the evening and kept the pace of things moving smoothly. He kept the crowd lively and dancing all night. The photo-booth was also a HUGE hit with our guests! Yes, yes, yes! Our reception was perfect, and it would not have been the same without Spectrum Entertainment's services! Thank you very much!

Spectrum Entertainment provided great service and quality. We used their photobooth at our wedding, and it was a huge hit! Kate, Katie, and Ryan were great to work with. I would highly recommend the photobooth services, our guests loved it. We also received a souvenir book with all the pictures taken during our wedding with personalized messages from our guests.

Cole did a great job for us. His background music during the reception and dinner was very relaxing. He kept the dance floor full of guests for all three hours. Everyone was having a great time . He didn't play all the music requested on the playlist. Would have liked more music videos, but it was kid friendly as requested and he was responsive to our need s for a lower volume for the lakeside setting. It was a wonderful evening.

We booked the photo booth for a work convention. Ryan was so easy to deal with and very flexible in making it work to fit our needs. He worked with the venue to fimd just the right spot and was careful to only have the photo booth for us and not allowing outsiders. I would highly recommend his services to anyone thinking about getting a photo booth at their event. We had a blast and the pictures will forever hang in our offices across the state reminding us of the fun we had that week.

Wanted to take a moment to recommend Spectrum Entertainment to as many brides as I can!!! I am the mother of the bride and we had a 4th of July wedding. Ryan at Spectrum went above and beyond all of our expectations. He hosted our entire day and kept everyone involved from seating at the ceremony to seating for dinner and on through the dance. We had heard of Spectrum before and decided it was our choice for DJ service. What we got was a complete wedding day host who had everything covered. The slideshows and music videos were a hit with everyone. He even played some older songs for us so we felt appreciated. When we were looking for a photo booth we learned that they had many different types of booths available and so we were allowed to choose which style booth we wanted. When my husband and I heard of the price for all of the services we were amazed at how reasonable the cost was. Wished we had Spectrum at our son's wedding the year before. Hoping Spectrum will travel to host our next event when our youngest gets married in Madison. We LOVE YOU.

Spectrum Entertainment was referred to us by several of our married friends who had either used them or been to a wedding they were at. What we discovered is that Spectrum was everything we had heard about and MORE! The sound system was awesome and the dj lighting was fantastic. Our dj had lots of interactive games for our guests and even catered to the children early while the adults were eating. Their photo booth was immaculate and the attendant was very friendly. We will be recommending this service to all of our friends and family. They are the best in the area for sure. Our only suggestions would be to keep playing late if the crowd is having fun. Our DJ stopped music promptly at midnight and we hoped he would play longer but he suggested that would cost extra.
I noticed on an earlier review the bride complained of music skipping. I couldn't resist to comment because our DJ actually used all digital files and was mixing and remixing all night long. To my knowledge digital files do not skip. This may have been mistaken for skipping. The special effects and mixing were just like clubs in the Twin Cities and we loved it. A guest with very little knowledge of this contemporary style of dance party would not know the difference.
