  We would pick him again in a heartbeat

  Where do I begin... We flew Joe out to our wedding in colorado because I saw a few videos he did for a friend, and his work really stood out to us (his prices were also reasonable!). He exceeded our expectations. He captured the beauty of our day not just aesthetically but emotionally-- all depicted through his video. I have shared it with so many who all say it is one of the best wedding videos they have seen. He has a true talent for this work. He is also incredibly easy to work with - was amendable to changes we needed to make- and offered it all for a good price. His professionalism and final product were a highlight of our wedding experience!

  We couldn’t be happier with our wedding video!! We’re totally blown away by how perfectly SparkStory captured our day. Joe was so responsive and helpful leading up to our big day. We knew we could count on him & he exceeded our expectations! The day of he was so great too, capturing all the special moments and days details. Thank you so much!!!

  We couldn't help but smile ear to ear as we watched the short film of our wedding that Joe and his team put together. The editing was fantastic and he was able to capture the spirit of the entire day in one clip. He was very accommodating with any requests we had, and even gave us a choice of picking the music for the video or letting him choose. We're glad that we gave him the option to surprise us with the music and let him be creative with it - it blends perfectly with the entire day (and is a song we had never even heard of before!). I must have watched our video dozens of times by now and I don't see myself ever getting tired of it. Can't wait to watch the raw footage of the entire day :)

  We found SparkStory after my sister told me to check out their website because a friend had recently used them. We immediately were drawn to Joe's style and music choice. We quickly contacted Joe and set up a meeting. He was very personable and professional. It didn't take long to realize that Joe and SparkStory were the right fit for us!!

Our wedding was only a little over a month ago, so we have not seen any footage yet, but I'm sure it will all be amazing.   Working with Joe at SparkStory was really one of the best experiences I had in wedding planning from beginning to end. I cannot thank him enough for the incredible highlight video he was able to create from our day- it embodies everything I had imagined and included so many details I had forgot about- I'll treasure it forever.
  
  Joe is special- he's the kind of person you feel like you've known forever even if only talking through email - I even recommended him to my friend who was getting married before we had even had our wedding because booking him had been such a pleasant experience. I searched high and low before booking my videographer and absolutely loved the style that Joe's video's all embody- that documentary way of film really allows you to be taken on a journey from beginning to end and erases all presense of anything cheesy. I also really enjoyed working with Joe and his assistant Colin on our actual wedding day- they were able to make me and my husband feel so comfortable throughout the day and they really helped settle our nerves on multiple occasions.
  
  I can't recommend SparkStory enough- having a wedding video is something that is so so special- if you're thinking of cutting costs somewhere I highly recommend you do it elsewhere- this really is the only thing you'll have that shows all the emotions, smiles, tears, laughs in action and you won't want to stop watching it- I think I've already watched my highlight film 25 times and I've only had it for 4 days! They really are the best!

  We almost didn't hire a videographer. That would have been a mistake. We hired SparkStory to capture our wedding. Since my husband is a professional video editor, we asked if we could have just the raw footage and edit it ourselves. Best decision ever. What they captured from the day is exactly how it felt to be there. They're are also awesome people and very reasonably priced. Hire them! You won't regret it!

  We are so thrilled to have the opportunity to leave a glowing review for Joe Petrilla. Of all our vendors, Joe was the most accommodating, responsive, easy to work with, professional and pleasant. These qualities are invaluable, and are every bit as important as the actual service being provided. That being said, we were overjoyed with the video Joe produced. He somehow managed to condense hours of footage into a concise, upbeat film that captures all of the wonderful emotions of the day. So many of our guests have remarked that watching the film brings them right back into the joy they experienced at the wedding and we could not agree more! Joe did a spectacular job -- we could not recommend anyone more highly or enthusiastically!

  Joe Petrilla is an absolute genius. After searching high and low for a videographer who would produce something incredible, sweet but not cheesy, funny but not silly, artistic but not dramatic, and just all around perfect, we found him. We just received our wedding videos (highlight film + documentary edit) and cried reliving the entire day all over again. A friend of mine saw the highlight film and texted me, "This guy is incredible. Whoever made that....MAN! It's worth a million dollars. You don't even need a scrapbook." And she was right. It's seriously the best memento we could possibly have from our wedding and we are forever grateful. Hire this man.

  First of all, you will not find a better videographer than Joe, so just stop looking now. He filmed our wedding in Santa Barbara in July 2014. Joe is an uber talented and creative filmmaker. We were shocked and so grateful for the subtle, special moments he captured when we didn't even know he was there! Joe is professional and extremely warm and calming, which is just the type of energy you want around you with all the wedding nerves. We are obsessed with our video and haven't even had the chance to watch all 7 hours of footage he captured for such a reasonable price. Hiring Joe is one of the best wedding decisions we made.

  Choosing Oakjo Wedding Films was easily the best decision we made when planning our wedding. Joe is extremely sweet, professional, a pleasure to work with and his films are incredible. Our day was captured perfectly and we could not be happier.

When we first starting looking into videographers for our wedding, the number one quality we wanted to see was someone who could capture all of the fun, fast-paced energy and excitement of our day, while having a natural, easy-going feel. The second we saw Joe’s website with all of his highlight videos, we knew he would be the perfect fit! Everything Joe captured from our day was so natural and fun, and he just blended into the background. We never had to think about posing or having to go here or there, we were able to be ourselves and enjoy our day and he captured the most amazing moments. We got the highlight video (which is our favorite!) and the extended-edit video which were both set to awesome, upbeat music and captured the best and most special moments of our day in the most fun way. We also got the documentary edit which shows a softer side of our day. We could not love our videos any more! The first day we got the 3-minute highlight video, we watched it about 20 times! And he got us everything super fast, even though he was in the middle of wedding season. Joe was such an amazing person to work with, he is so talented and easy going and created videos for us that fit us so well. We cannot be more thankful that he was a part of our day and experience, and couldn't imagine finding anyone better!

  I am so happy that I used Joe as my videographer on my wedding day, he truly created a masterpiece with the highlights reel of my wedding day. It couldn't have been more perfect, from the candid moments he captured, to the song choice, to the genius compilation from start to finish of my big day. He is a genius, extremely professional, and such a nice and accommodating person to boot! I highly recommend him to any bride that is looking for a videographer that will produce a memorable short film of her wedding day, you won't regret it!
