  Great for wedding day hair and makeup!

  Spa Beauty was absolutely perfect for my wedding day. They came to my getting ready area and did hair and makeup for myself, my mom, and my wedding party. They were easy to work with. I did a trial run for myself which helped perfect my vision and made the actual day run smoothly. It was so nice to not have to worry about hair and makeup at all. Also, all of the looks lasted ALL NIGHT, no touch ups needed. Truly amazing!

  We chose Spa Beauty MN for our wedding day hair stylists and it was one of the best decisions we made! They went the extra mile to personalize everything and made it so easy for me. Sitha did a trial run with me and really took the time to get to know what I was hoping for (even though I wasn't totally sure what that was!). The style she created was gorgeous, and it looked even more amazing on the wedding day. Sitha and Anna did my bridesmaid's hair as well, and everyone absolutely loved how they looked. Highly recommend!

  I highly recommend Spa Beauty! Trust me that they are a top choice hair/makeup vendor---I know because I spent an embarrassing amount of time researching makeup/hair vendors—SO much time. Choosing a hair/makeup vendor was a vendor that I was most nervous about for our wedding! I wanted great, experienced hair/makeup artists for 8 of us at a reasonable price, and that’s exactly what you get with Spa Beauty. I noticed from some other companies that they have an A-list lineup of artists, but once you book they schedule you with less experienced artists. I was comfortable with any of the amazing artists that Spa Beauty has—so refreshing! As the bride, it’s so important to get the look you’re going for and have confidence in your artist—I loved working with Aspen! My mom and I got our hair and makeup done by Aspen (so sweet and amazing at what she does!), and my 5 bridesmaids and flower girl had their hair done by Veronica and makeup done by Alison—both seriously amazing. We are all in our early 30s, so we’ve had our hair/makeup done many times for other weddings, and they all agreed this was the best! My mom was really apprehensive to get her hair and makeup done, as she wanted a really natural look. She was SO happy with the outcome—she looked fantastic. My mom and I both did a trial with Aspen, so we knew what to expect the day of the wedding. Aspen listened to what we wanted and was super willing to make adjustments to ensure perfection. They traveled about an hour north of the twin cities to come to us, and they charged a pretty standard/fair travel fee. One of the best things about working with Spa Beauty is that the pricing and payment schedule is super clear. They email you when your payments are due, and it’s easy to pay online. They are SO organized. I also appreciated the menu options—so girls could get just standard makeup, or add airbrush or lashes, or even just have their eyes done—super flexible! Book with Spa Beauty - You won’t be disappointed.

  Spa Beauty is just plain WONDERFUL! I used them for both hair and makeup for myself and my bridal party for my recent wedding. Because I was planning my wedding from across the country, I had my trials for both almost two months in advance due to travel timing. When I went to my trial appointment I had the expectation that we would be playing around with different looks or having to tweak things to get it just right but these ladies nailed it from the start. I walked away feeling beautiful and confident that I made the right choice. The day of my wedding came and again, perfection. I have had my hair and makeup done before but I have never been so happy with how things turned out, my bridal party included! If I ever have to get hair or makeup done again while I’m in the area, I will only be using the ladies from Spa Beauty. Thank you Christel and Sara!

  The trial was exactly as I'd hoped and my hair looked fabulous on the day of the wedding, too. The make up was bold enough to see in pictures but not so over the top it didn't look like me. They worked quickly to get 2 more girls done that hadn't originally signed up. Awesome work...highly recommend!

  Nicole did the makeup for myself, three bridesmaids, and my mom; we couldn't be happier with her work! Everyone looked amazing and I felt like the most beautiful bride! I opted to do a trial before the wedding to see what airbrushed makeup looked like--the Spa Beauty team was extremely flexible about where and when the trial could take place! Nicole was punctual and made everyone feel at ease, since for many of them it was their first time getting makeup done professionally. I would absolutely recommend Spa Beauty.

  I really enjoyed working with Spa Beauty on my wedding day. Our stylists were Lindsay and Michelle - they did such a great job accommodating everyone's unique requests for their hair styles and were very professional. Having Spa Beauty come onsite to our venue was super convenient and one less thing to stress about and coordinate. The owners are also very responsive with communication and have a lot of passion for their business. I definitely recommend Spa Beauty for your big day!

  Spa Beauty MN was absolutely fantastic to work with! All my girls loved their makeup. My artist arrived early to get setup and worked quickly to get all my girls done in time for pictures as she was the only one for 8 girls. She was easy to talk to and very flexible when some of the girls wanted to add on lashes. I would highly recommend Spa Beauty!

  Liz did an awesome job on my make up . She was very easy going and a perfectionist , which I loved ! She also made me feel very comfortable and did a great job of getting to know what her customers wanted.

  Spa Beauty was great! Lyz and Matt are very communicative. They respond either via email and phone very promptly and professionally. They are very clear about expectations on their end (especially in writing) and what you can expect from an appointment. As for my stylist, I had the pleasure of Aspen do my hair and makeup. After showing her some inspirational pictures and talking about what I wanted, she was able to do almost exactly what I wanted in my trial. On my wedding day, Aspen looked at her notes from my trial and implemented the changes that I wanted perfectly. I also changed my mind slightly on my hairstyle day-of, and after showing her a picture, she was able to copy it exactly. She was enjoyable to work with and I felt beautiful on my wedding day.
  
  Also! If you're wavering about whether to do a trial or not.... DO A TRIAL if you're able to put it in your budget. I was skeptical about it at first because I figured anything that the stylist would do would be better than I could do myself, but setting up expectations before the wedding day and testing things out helped immensely. With Aspen's help, we figured out how much concealer to put on me, the shade of blush, and I got to test out if I liked lashes or not (I don't). Worth it!

  Spa Beauty was great to work with! My makeup was beautiful and natural looking, which is just what I wanted. I'm glad I did a trial, as we ended up adjusting my foundation color (apparently my face is several shades darker than my neck). Maya and Jen were fun and personable, and did a great job on hair and makeup for the bridal party and the moms. They were even able to squish in an extra makeup application when one of my bridesmaids changed her mind last minute. And they were more affordable than most vendors I looked at!

  The artists at SpaBeauty are hands down the best and so professional! SpaBeauty did hair and makeup for my wedding party, and everyone looked gorgeous. If you are considering working with SpaBeauty for your wedding, stop considering and contact them. You won't regret it!

  Matt and Lyz were great to work with when scheduling our beauty needs for our wedding. They were responsive and professional while answering all my questions and accommodating schedule shifts and getting trials on the books. We had two artists for our wedding day and they arrived on time and got right to work. They didn't have enough power strips which was a little annoying but the artists did great work and kept us on schedule.

  My hair looked good for my wedding. That's about all that was good about working with this company. I walked into my appointment the first day and said I want a down-do. The first thing the stylist said to me was "you should consider other options." I told my stylist I wanted no brown or gold, she told me she likes brown and proceeded to put gold eyeshadow on me. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, which had the color pallet in it and said "Black" under it, and she said "that's brown." I told her I wasn't sure if I wanted to include purple eyeshadow, and she leaned forward, took a sharp breath in, and it a raised voice said "if you don't know, then I can't help you." When I called Lyz to complain that the stylist had yelled at me, Lyz started the call by saying "it's not our fault if your hair won't hold curl, we're not magicians." Great, that's not what I'm calling about, very clearly not interested in my concerns, only in defending themselves. I asked Lyz what my options are, because I didn't want to work with a stylist that had yelled at me. She let me know I basically had none. I asked for any option other than working with this girl, and was given nothing. I emailed the stylist the week of my wedding to confirm the times (as I did with every vendor) and in response to my "I'll be there whatever time you say, can you confirm you need to start at 8am?" She said "I can't change your time." And then Lyz emailed me and said "this is all in your contract." They were the only vendor that I worked with, that refused to confirm what time they were showing up, and instead chastised me for not finding the info myself. Had tip not been included, I would have left 0, and as a former waitress, I have never left a 0 tip in my life.

  It's unfortunate that you were upset based on your own misconceptions. We gave you multiple choices for options with (1) a new Trial Run with honest communication, or (2) a new company with no financial commitment. I do have email communication about money due, expectations, and your stated happiness. If that was not the case, I am not able to read minds, so I don't know how to fix a situation that I was never aware of. On 10/24/2017 your Head Artist did confirm them coming to you - I point this out because of your insensitivity to a business's expectations.   Still not over the awfulness

  One year later, and I still think of this as the black spot on my wedding day. The make-up artist argued with me that she had already put mascara on and if I wanted more I would have to buy falsies. I very clearly didn't have mascara on. Just trying to get money from me. Truly awful. She was so rude my sister actually left and refused to return until she was gone. Multiple emails from the owners letting me know it must be my fault, since they don't believe their girl would be rude.

  My daughter’s wedding was to be in Charleston, SC on September 15th.Then, Hurricane Florence came along and on Tuesday, September 11th, the S.C. Governor ordered a mandatory evacuation of all of Charleston. We had to move her wedding to a different city and find whole new venues, caterers, etc. in a few days. All vendors in Charleston have agreed to a 100% refund, except for Spa Beauty Agency. They operate in both Minneapolis and Charleston and only offered us a partial refund or to let us use the unrefunded portion for some other event. However, we don’t live in Charleston or Minneapolis and will not have another wedding in either city. Companies in the service economy have to be good at developing and maintaining relationships. On this point, I give Spa Beauty and Agency an “F”.

  Spa Beauty's reply:

  Mike, I apologize that you are unhappy with the refund that was agreed upon by your daughter and issued on 09/10/2018 and felt the need to leave us a poor review. When you and I spoke on the phone on 09/25/2018 I attempted to explain our side of the situation but was unable to because you hung up on me. Our cancellation policy (listed on our website and sent to your daughter) was agreed upon on 03/03/2018 when the wedding services were booked. When your daughter reached out to me via email 5 days prior to the wedding date requesting a refund she acknowledged our 3-month cancellation policy and stated that even a partial refund would be appreciated. I then spoke to her on the phone and offered to let her use the amount paid towards any future services, including but not limited to, if the wedding was to be rescheduled. She told me the decision was made to move the wedding location out of state and keep the same date, and the future services was not an option. I told her that I could provide a 60% refund and she agreed to that. I then paid her the refund immediately while still on the phone with her to confirm that she received it. I then received numerous emails from you about wanting to “chat”. I don't feel that you wanted to have a conversation when we connected via phone, but rather, wanted to be confrontational. Something that was very apparent by you threatening our company and saying you're going to leave bad reviews everywhere and we can see what happens. Followed by you hanging up on me. we are not the only company with a cancellation policy, and your agreements with other vendors should not be used as fodder to harass another business about their particular policies. Something you should be able to appreciate as a business owner of a blueberry farm in Minnesota. We do need to be good at developing and maintaining relationships and we feel that we do just that.
