Southwind Acres was the perfect place for my wedding day! It’s has a cozy and rustic barn aesthetic, so well decorated and set up! Kim made sure everything was organized and that it all went smoothly! It was so easy to plan with her and she provided so many different decorations to choose from, as well as setting up all the decorations I brought for the event! It was very affordable, and she even offered a few different options for the ceremony to take place! She is so easy to work with! She listened to every detail that I wanted to include and made it happen! Very efficient and informative! Kept up with keeping things tidy and did amazing clean up, as well as making sure all my items were rounded up and ready to take home at the end of the night! Kim and her husband are such good people, running such a beautiful and intimate venue, and I will 100% recommend for anyone else’s wedding! -

Having my wedding at Southwind Acres was truly one of the best decisions I could have ever made. From the very beginning, Mrs. Kim, James, and the entire team made me feel supported, understood, and genuinely cared for. They didn’t just provide a venue — they helped create one of the most special days of my life.
I planned my wedding in a very short amount of time, and what could have been overwhelming turned into something beautiful because of them. In just two months, they helped bring my vision to life in a way that exceeded everything I imagined. Every detail, every moment, felt intentional and full of care.
Mrs. Kim made everything so clear and easy to follow, which gave me so much peace of mind throughout the process. I never felt lost or stressed — I felt guided, reassured, and excited.

Perfect secluded venue
This was our first stop on our venue list and we left after our tour knowing we had found the perfect place for our big day! Beautiful landscaping, ceremony and reception hall separated by a few steps through the parking lot. Multiple places to get married on the property as well! Mrs. Kim was so pleasant to work with and always made sure to answer any questions quickly! Our big day was perfect with Mrs.Kim,Mr. James (her husband) and their bartender! Don’t hesitate to reach out! -

We had our wedding at Southwind Acres, and it was truly the best decision we could have made. From the very beginning, the staff made the entire planning process stress-free and enjoyable. They were professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect for our day.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning – from the breathtaking ceremony space, elegant reception area, beautifully kept grounds, etc. it provided the most magical backdrop for our celebration. Our guests are still raving about how gorgeous everything looked and how seamless the event felt. -

My Daughter got married here at Southwind Acres. Everything was wonderful. The day could not have gone any smoother. Kim and her husband were great. They had everything setup & ready when we arrived. I loved that they provide tons of decoration options and setups. She even has recommendations for caterers and DJ, almost anything you could think of. The venue is beautiful and cozy. Magical Wedding
We could not have asked for a more magical experience Kim knows what she is doing and goes above and beyond. Everything was perfect. She thinks of every detail and makes it happen, all the way down to back up plans. Even after planning, the implementation was even more than I expected! It was beautiful. I got loads of compliments on the venue and the ceremony. I could not have asked for a better day or experience. I would recommend this venue to any couple that wants to have a magical moment. She even helped with planning and coordinating other venues. On top of that she was there continuously making sure everything was perfect. -

Even a hurricane couldn't stop them
Not only is this venue breathtaking, affordable, and magical; but the owners themselves are the BEST! We unfortunately and unknowingly picked the day the day right after we the hurricane to get married. There was no power at all and the storm had definitely made a huge mess. Mrs. Kim and her husband spent hours upon hours outside cleaning up all the mess, hanging battery powered spotlights, and finding any other alternatives we needed. In the words of literally guest "you couldn't even tell there was no power". Our wedding went off like nothing ever happened and turned out to be the most MAGICAL night ever. If you want a team and venue who is 100% dedicated to their clients, is especially the bride, then this is where you need to go. They have so many decorations to choose from and will try their best to make your vision come to life. I couldn't recommend them enough. (If you look at the picture, those are battery powered spotlights. I bet you didn't even notice) 😉 -

Kim at Southwind Acres was wonderful to work with for my daughter’s wedding reception! She had a huge assortment of decorations to choose from, and did all of the setup and cleanup! She gave us good advice about things we were unsure about and brought up things we hadn’t even thought about. We felt like she was part of the family by the end, and truly appreciate all of her help! The reception was everything we hoped for, and I’d definitely recommend this venue to others! -

We had over 100 guests to celebrate with us. I loved the affordable, air-conditioned space. The room was arranged to my liking and to accommodate DJ, bar, dance floor, buffet and seating. I was able to bring-in my own table decorations although Kim, the owner, was willing to decorate. I was just particular.etc. She planned out a payment schedule and met with me numerous times to make certain all would go smoothly. She would also text reminders. Great, responsive communication.We were very pleased. -

Absolutely Amazing!
I got married here on September 9th 2023 and it was amazing! The place is absolutely gorgeous. You have the option of outside or in the chapel. Kim and James made the planning and day of go stress free and smoothly. They have all tables and chairs so you don’t have to worry about renting any and they offer decorations! They set everything thing up for you so that you don’t have to worry about it. They help in any way they can and they are the sweetest! I will always recommend them to anyone that asks!

With prices of everything skyrocketing these days and hidden fees, it was a breath of fresh air to deal with an honorable business woman who truly wanted to make it an affordable, straightforward and easy process for the bride and groom. With Southwind Acres Venue, you pay less and get more! Whatever I wanted or needed, Kim had. She has this beautiful walk-in closet full of decorations and a binder showing what has been done in the past to give you ideas for what you want your wedding to look like. She told me part of the deal is that we can use her decorations at no additional charge! We didn’t have to worry about bringing them or cleaning them up! We were able to have the ceremony and reception there in the middle of winter in her beautiful little chapel located right next to the reception hall. Most wedding venues don't allow smoking these days. Kim, however, set up a cigar smoking spot outside for my dad and his friends, so that everyone could feel comfortable. I had the most beautiful wedding day and everyone from young to old, men and women had nothing but wonderful things to say about their experience on our wedding day at Southwind Acres Venue. The only things that went wrong at the wedding were my choices of using other vendors than what she recommended. If I had to do it over again, I would have just listened to Kim from the get-go of what vendors to use. She never steered me wrong. She went above and beyond to serve us and make everything perfect! -

Wonderful place for an event
This is a wonderful venue with incredible owners. We hosted our going away party here and found the staff to be fun and super easy to work with. They even did the clean up for us at the end! We had 50 people for lunch and 70 at the drop in party after with plenty of space. The outdoor area with swings and fire pit gave a sweet spot for our guests to chat and relax outdoors as well. (Even in January!)
The best part (besides Mrs. Kim and her hard working husband) was that you can choose beautiful decor from her massive storage selection and it’s included in your price!
We highly recommend Southwind Acres ❤️ -

My husband and I were looking for a venue close to our homes and one of our friends had recently been married at this venue. We met with the owner Mrs. Kim Conness to view the venue and all the accommodations and were blown away. She has a vast collection of decorations and a beautiful antique Mercedes that we used for our "going away" photos. She was easy to work with and had photo books full of options for decorations and table settings. We met with her on several occasions to finalize the decorating plans. She worked wonderfully with all of our vendors and had a large list of local vendors to choose from if we needed assistance in locating them. The day before our wedding all I had to do was take what decorations I had purchased (which you honestly don't have to because she has so many) to the venue and take a look at how things were setting up. The day of my wedding I had to do NOTHING, which was great for a stress free wedding day. She texted me with any questions and when we arrived to the venue for our reception we were blown away. I could not have asked for anything more than what she delivered. We had WAY MORE people RSVP than expected and she was very accommodating and ensure we had plenty of table and chairs. Even though we did not have our ceremony on site that option is available. She can set up a beautiful outdoor ceremony, or you can have the ceremony inside of their new chapel! They also have a gorgeous bridal and groom suite if you choose to have it all there for everyone to get ready there. She provided a list of local VRBO and Airbnb rentals if anyone chose to stay nearby the night before or of the wedding. You absolutely get a huge BANG for your buck at this location. I would recommend this venue to ANYONE at ANYTIME! -

I don't think my husband and I could have chosen a better venue. All we had to do was show up. Kim decorated everything and everything looked beautiful. We did not have to worry about a thing. Kim and her husband are the absolute BEST!! She takes all of the pressure of having to take care of everything the day of off of the bride and groom! She offers her own decorations/tables and sets up pretty much everything for you! Kim is now a life long friend of mine and my husbands! As a mother, you often dream of your daughter's wedding day. When she becomes engaged, the first question for the engaged couple and for her parents, is where? Our first call was to SOUTHWIND ACRES in Prosperity, SC and we spoke to Kim. She scheduled our on site visit that week. When we toured the venue, we fell in love with the grounds, spacious outdoor areas, the outdoor/indoor ceremony options in the event of inclement weather. Kim met with us and explained all options. This venue provides all dining tables including linens, multiple arbors, beautiful pews and chairs for your guests. In addition to these items, they have an abundant supply of decorations. And yes, this is all included in the price!! Best of all, the owners meet with you prior to your event and asks precisely how would you like everything arranged for your special day. This is where the magic happens. James and Kim turn your ideas and visions for your special day into reality. They do not overpromise. Their delivery and execution of all agreed upon services are top notch! The venue is spotless! The owners are meticulous with their organization; they exude pride in their ownership of their property while setting their client's needs as their top priority. While having a beautiful venue is an important part of the process, having key people operating the venue is vital! James and Kim's dedication and commitment to you as their client is outstanding! They strive to accommodate you, they are flexible where possible, they work harder than one should during these events to guarantee your experience is one of a lifetime. They make the process as easy and seamless as possible.

One last thing...
Don't be surprised when you stop by to see Kim on the riding mower and James out using the blower. As stated, they are hard workers and keep on top of it all to get the things done that need be. The two of them, along with the venue are absolutely worth your investment!

Prom 2021 Prom 2021
We did a 2021 Prom at this venue and had the time of our lives. The kids danced, sang and they all had a blast. Kim and her husband are the owners and they were so awesome with everything. They did a great job and made us feel like family. The venue is so beyond beautiful. We will be back for our next big event. We were the first to do a prom. This is the place I would say to go for any special occasion. Thank you Southwind Acres venue for everything. -

Great venue!
Great all-in-one location for ceremony and reception. The venue came with many perks - decorations, bar area, projector, tables, seating, indoor and outdoor options for ceremony, cute suites for bride and groom to get ready, stunning vintage car for pictures, and more. Kim had great recommendations for nearby catering (which the food was great) and other wedding needs such as DJs, officiant, etc. She even had a great recommendation for a nearby rental house less than 10minutes from the venue that’s on the lake. She was always prompt to respond with any questions I had. It was great! -

Wedding Day
If I could give them more than 5 stars, I definitely would! I had to change venues 2 times before I stumbled across Southwind Acres & I believe it was God sent. Mrs. Kim made everything as painless as possible. Her and her husband were so sweet and so helpful the entire wedding day. She had almost all of the decorations I needed/wanted. There was a large room filled with thousands of decorations to meet your needs. There is also a bridal suite and groom suite. Everything was absolutely amazing. I barely had to lift a finger on wedding day bc of Mrs. Kim & her husband. I received so many complements on how perfect and beautiful everything was. I highly recommend using Southwind Acres for your event needs! -

This venue is the absolute perfect place to have your wedding!!! It’s so hassle free and Mrs Kim and her husband are so sweet and helpful!!! She literally made it so I didn’t have to lift a finger in my wedding day and made the whole process completely stress free!!! You wanna talk about a fairy tale wedding!!! This is the place to go!!!! I received so many compliments on the decor and setup which Mrs Kim does for you!! Loved my pictures with her tractor!! 10/10 recommend!! Perfect for weddings, anniversaries, or just get togethers!! -

Amazing fall reception
There is not enough stars to give Kim Conness at Southwind Acres!! The setting was perfect for our vision of a rustic country reception, when we met Kim she amplified our dream reception with her knowledge and expertise!! Not only is she detailed oriented but very organized; she sent out reminders through out the whole planning process which as a busy working Bride I was very appreciative of! One of the services that Kim provides that for me was icing on the cake in choosing Southwind Acres was Kim had every possible decoration we could imagine for a beautiful rustic evening reception!! Kim’s perfect vision for not only the gorgeous set up for our reception inside the barn but she also created an amazing setup outside with seating and the fire pit since the Lord provided us a beautiful fall day for our wedding day!!! Southwind Acres is not only a gorgeous barn inside and out but Kim is a beautiful angel that will help all couples with their dream wedding/reception!!! -

Covid Bride!!
I wish I could give this venue more stars! I had so many issues due to Covid, and Kim was there to help me solve it at every moment! Not only was the venue absolutely beautiful, Kim and her husband were AMAZING! They really put their heart and souls into this venue and every wedding there, and it shows 100%. I will be recommending this venue to EVERYONE that plans on getting married!!!! -
