  We used Southern Sounds for our DJ and for our lighting. Everything was perfect! They came out and hung lights from trees and had uplights shining on the big oak trees. They had a chandelier in the tent with the DJ. Our DJ was great as well!

  One of the absolute best companies I have ever worked with. Kim was our contact and she made things as painless as possible. Very on top of things and helped us with many things we didn't even consider. The lighting was perfect on the front lawn of the Bragg Mitchell Mansion in Mobile. The DJ did an amazing job as well. We could not have asked for anything more from them. Thank you for helping make it a wonderful day!

  Corey was awesome! Before the wedding we went over what we wanted to do and what we didn't want to do and he stuck to that and helped us to stay on track so we didn't forget anything. I am still getting compliments on how well he read the crowd, not to mention he even showed up wearing my wedding colors! If I ever have an event in that area again there is no doubt who I would choose.

  Had our original reception site burn down 2 months prior to wedding so we found a new site and needed lighting to transform it from a dumpy banquet room to an elegant reception venue. Southern Sounds came in and not only delivered a perfect room (they have TONS of options for lighting, including draperies for the room, uplights in various colors, pin spots, etc) but they were an absolute pleasure to work with. Every single email or call was returned promptly and they busted it on the day of to make sure it was perfect. Top it off with the fact that the owners are incredibly friendly and easy to work with and you've got the only vendor you need for lighting up your reception site.

  Torrie and Jason were wonderful! They were so flexible with our meetings. My husband and I both have crazy, hectic work schedules and they were willing to meet on weekends and evenings. Torrie helped to fix the bustle on my dress several times during the reception and she attended to every detail. Torrie made sure that the cutting of the cake, toasts, etc. went along smoothly and paid attention to when the nest time would be to do everything with the guests. Jason played an excellent selection of songs and made sure to include the songs we picked out. Jason and Torrie were very attentive to our wishes. I would recommend them to anyone! :)

  If you are looking for a professional company to take care of your needs during your wedding than Southern Sounds is the company for you. They have outstanding service with quick response time. Jason and Torrie are professionals, who take their jobs very serious to make your wedding day go as you imagined. They will keep you on schedule, so that you will not have to worry about anything. but enjoying yourself. The quality of service you receive from their company far outweighs the cost. They are 100 percent worth every penny. Jason and Torrie are flexible and are more than willing to work around what you want for your special day. My wedding day would not have been the same without them. Jason and Torrie are a wonderful team and the best in the business in my opinon.

  Jason and Torrie made sure that they knew exactly what we wanted for our day. They kept in contact before and then the day of they made everything so easy for us! Before we found them, we were only looking for a DJ - well, they offer so much more than that! They do special lighting, Jason is NOT cheesy at all, and Torrie, his wife, coordinates the entire reception from beginning to the end. She took such good care of the bridal party & I couldn't have been happier with hiring them! They are professional & very friendly!

  Jason and Tori were great! He kept all the guests entertained, but still played some of the music I requested. Tori was so nice and was so calm about everything, which was nice since my actual wedding planner was getting a little too intense. Thanks!!

She stayed in close contact with me within weeks of our wedding to make sure the agenda was exactly what we wanted and the day of the wedding she was a life saver! She found me as soon as she got to our wedding location & was there to guide us through everything…literally until the end of the reception! Not sure that our day would have been as smooth without Jennifer.Overall, the experience with Southern Sounds DJ was perfect!!

I loved how the lighting turned out, we used the vintage string lights on the palm trees and up-lighting as well. I was so happy, everything looked so beautiful. We also paid for full event coordination and that was outstanding! They really kept me on track and made the evening so perfect and relaxing. This assistant helped coordinator our grand entrance, brought the groomsmen drinks while we waited, stored all of our purses and bags etc. she was a life saver. I was able to talk to the DJs assistant about song questions, there were a few snafus with the songs they were playing. However everyone loved the DJ and had a great time. I could not be happier with my decision to have them DJ our wedding!
