  Wedding Flowers!

  I am using Mrs Debbie for my wedding in March! I have received many many arrangements from her before and I have loved all of them! When we had a meeting to discuss what I was wanting, she was super polite and very informative! Even walked me around to see if there was any other flowers/colors i hadn't seen and might like! She was very sweet and helpful!

  Debbie was the most wonderful person to work with! I searched long and hard for a florist. I had an idea of what I wanted but could never find a picture of what I wanted. I sat down with Debbie and in not even five minutes, she showed me a picture of what she thought I was describing, and it was EXACTLY it!
  
  Also, I wanted quirky things because my groom was quirky. He loves Doctor Who and wanted a celery bout. Most florists told us they wouldn't. Debbie accepted the challenge as something fun! She willingly incorporated so many sentimental items and encouraged it. I can truthfully say that other major florists in Pensacola would not.
  
  Additionally, she sat with me and encouraged me to do whatever I wanted. She had great suggestions for things I did not know such as putting our day-of-coordinator in a noticeable flower so that we could tell people to find her! She was seriously the fairy-god-mother of my wedding.
  
  Finally, it rained 19 inches the day of my wedding with flash floods EVERYWHERE. Several vendors bailed because they could not venture the wedding. Debby was there right on schedule with the most breath taking floral arrangements I have ever seen. She and her team incorporated so much special detail and everything was absolutely perfect.
  
  Also, I forgot to follow up on a very important aspect of the floral arrangements until 1 week before the wedding. It did not stop Debbie. She was so understanding and made it all work seamlessly!
  
  Debbie and her team are truly the BEST Pensacola has to offer! I love them so much and am so grateful for all that they did to make my wedding day magical!

  Debbie Sapp was amazing. Her flowers were not only fresh and beautiful but the small intricate details she incorporated into my flowers were amazing. Her personality shines through in everything she does and made my wedding priceless. I HIGHLY recommend Southern Gardens for anyone's wedding. She was thoughtful, attentive and helped my husband keep the flowers a suprise until the day of the wedding. Flowers I thought were not in our budget and I was going to have my Mother do them, Debbie showed up with a huge smile, a congratulations and a hug!!!! Debbie...we love you!!!

  while the owner was friendly she was not too helpful. I don't know much about flowers, there is only a handful i recognize & could point out to you. The owner expected me to know all the lingo & every flower in existence. She had no samples or even a book for you to look at. So just a warning, do your research beforehand & write down every kind of flower.
  
  Aside from that, we were not pleased with what we got the day of. I did not get the flowers i asked for, which were only yellow & white daisies. Nothing else. She added other junk in the bouquet i did not ask for.
  I asked for pink daisies. She first lied & said you could not get the color, then changed her mind & said they could be dyed but she didnt want to get the dye on her hands so she refused. (We got Celebrations the florist to do just the centerpieces & they werent afraid of dyeing the flowers & they turned out beautifully. Wish we would have stuck with them for everything else) Anyways, so we didn't get the color we wanted with the bridesmaids flowers.
  
  We asked for a specific ribbon for the bouquets & she assured us she would get that & it would dramatically hang down like we wanted, when we got them they were just tied in bows, not hanging & it was the crappy looking ribbon with the wired edge.
  
  and lastly, the corsages for the mothers & grandmothers & the boutennieres (sp?) were the hugest corsages I had ever seen. they took up most of their chests, i mean these things were rediculous looking. we got lots of comments on them & they were not good comments. These people agreed that these corsages should have been a lot smaller but instead they commanded attention. Well anyways thats all i have to say. In a nutshell, i would not recommend her as you don't get what you ask for & she refuses to work with you.

  This florist is horrible. My husband ordered special flowers for our 15th anniversary. I received what looked like a funeral arrangement of lavender roses and white lilies with a bunch of green stuffed into a vase with very little arrangement, also attached was a tacky red ballon. My husband is out of town, so I asked him that evening about the flowers. He told me they should have been a beautiful selection of pink. The next morning I called the florist and spoke to the manager. She was very unapologetic. Two hours later the delivery van pulled up and requested the flowers saying they had refunded my husband's money and they were here to pick up the flowers. Completely unprofessional from start to finish. I don't recommend doing business with company!

When she showed up at the hotel with the bouquet and we told her what we wanted to change - like just removing the big ugly flowers and adding a few smaller ones- she was not accommodating at all. Said she couldn't do anything to change it. She was so unprofessional and argued with us in front of the hotel workers at the front desk. They even noticed it and took her off their list of recommended vendors.

  Southern Gardens Florist's reply:

  This wedding bouquet was delivered 6 months ago and only rated now??? The mother of the bride ordered the bouquet. She sent me a picture of a large very EXPENSIVE bouquet in all white, using assorted ORCHIDS. She said that the picture is exactly what she wanted. Upon receiving the quote for the bouquet, she changed the flowers to very INEXPENSIVE flowers and changed the all white flowers to all green flowers and one white flower. (5 Green flowers and one White Flower) I sent her a stem count of each flower that would go into the arrangement along with the EXACT color. It is difficult to take a lavish high end arrangement and not only colors but change from beautiful exotic orchids to carnations and mums.
  
  When I arrived with the bouquet she complained that the bouquet was not what she wanted. I had the list of Exactly the flowers she ordered and the exact stem count she ordered. She said the bouquet was "TOO" green. When 5 out of 6 flowers ordered are green it is hard to make it look anything but green. I did remove some of the larger green flowers that she originally requested to be in the bouquet.
  
  When you start off with an expensive bouquet without the budget to back up your selection and change the flowers from Orchids to Carnations i'm sure that dissapointment will definately follow.
  
  We can only create the arrangement with the flowers and budget given. Champagne taste on a beer budget is difficult to work with.
