Truly exceptional!
Every expectation was exceeded! It was a pleasure to work with Sarah W. Hunt and Harvest Caterers was so easy to work with and we received countless compliments on all the food. From our first phone call with Sarah and every step of the way it was seamless! The day was everything we had envisioned and more! South Farms is truly a special and unique venue waiting for the wedding of your dreams! -

Love this venue!
We had our wedding at South Farms and absolutely loved it. We received so many compliments about the venue and how beautiful and unique it is. Also, our day of coordinated, Sarah, was awesome and so helpful! -

Simply Amazing
South Farms was the first and only venue that my husband and I visited when planning our wedding - we loved it immediately! They continued to impress throughout the planning process, responding promptly to my many emails, and were gracious enough to let us visit the venue multiple times before the big day. They were accommodating, kind, and professional. Our wedding day was perfect, due in large part to their staff and the beauty of the venue itself! We could not have asked for more from a wedding venue. The long tables in the reception hall with the mismatched chairs were unique and just awesome. We would recommend South Farms to anyone and everyone!! Huge shoutout to Sarah W and Sarah B for everything they did for us! 😊 -

a beautiful late autumn wedding
my daughter's wedding at South Farms was so beautiful and the staff is professional and so easy to work with. Its truly a spectacular venue, I would recommend to any one who is looking for a unique experience. -

Sarah C. Sent on 12/02/2019Perfect Indoor/Outdoor Expansive Yet Intimate
We looked all over CT for the perfect venue for our daughter’s wedding (she lives abroad). We were looking for something NOT country club or hotel ballroom, but big (175 guests) and authentic. For us, South Farms was a perfect venue. The big barn holds 175 and is industrial rustic yet contemporary and cool. There is a separate bar (that opens to the outside on two sides) and a new lounge, as well as a brand new commercial kitchen. There is a courtyard between the bar and the lounge as well as perfectly maintained fields that open onto expansive rolling hills and farmland (which for us included cows!). The old storage barn where we had the ceremony was cozy and romantic. The whole space feels open and airy, intimate but not crowded, outdoors BUT ok if it rained. Sarah, who was our main point of contact, couldn’t have been more responsive and helpful. EVERY one of the vendors she recommended was a pleasure to work with and delivered in spades. Ben, the owner, has done everything possible to keep the cattle farm authenticity and fantastic Litchfield vibe alive. All of our guests were raving about the venue. It was absolutely perfect. -

The minute you step out of your car at South Farms you feel at home. I have attended events here and photographed them. The owner and staff has created the most gorgeous place for you and your family to enjoy your most memorable times. Although it’s run really professionally and is stunning it feels homey. You will feel like you’ve known the staff and this place for years. They think of every detail and work in the background seamlessly and let the gorgeous landscape set the mood for a relaxing and absolutely amazing event. I love South Farms and the people that make it part of the community. -

Sarah Worden and South Farms were such a dream come true — accommodating, happy to answer questions, super transparent and honest about what was reasonable versus what wouldn't work, and really helpful when it came to finding vendors. Not to mention the fact that the space is absolutely stunning and unique in so many ways. I can't recommend them enough!

The venue itself is so special, really allowing the bride and groom to customize it and make it their own. Sarah gave us so many amazing suggestions on vendors and really helped bring our vision together. I wish we could do it all over again. THANK YOU South Farms!
