Beyond Amazing!

We booked our services through SoundSurge for DJ, lighting, photo and videography. Everything was INCREDIBLE. The professionalism and quality of service was fabulous. Each staff member was organized and always available for questions. They were so flexible when it came to postponing our first wedding. The music at the small wedding that we did have was fantastic, everyone raved about the songs played. The photographers and videographers made us feel so safe and comfortable. Raphael is an amazing DJ and person! He’s so kind, genuine and down to earth. He makes you feel taken care of and listens to all of your concerns as well as your vision on your special day. Both him and Shauna are very responsive and quick to answer. I loved his personalized Photo Booth touches. We are so happy he and his crew were a part of our most memorable day!

Sound surge was absolutely amazing. They met our every need. They were on point in all aspects of the wedding. I would recommend them to all. They were also very thorough with asking what songs we wanted for each time of the wedding and any other songs we wanted. Hire him! Danny was on time, prepared and super professional. He played an array of music that had the party up on their feet. He covered all genres and even took special requests. He was on the mic getting the crowd going and informing them of highlights during the event.

Raphael and his team at Sound Surge Entertainment helped make our special day absolutely incredible! They did the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception! Raphael was absolutely amazing from day one in planning our day to DJing our wedding in September. He was very easy to talk to in regards to everything that we wanted -- about the type of music, the reception and ceremony music, the media package at our venue to include our hashtag photos. He was always fun and willing to hear our opinion throughout the whole process. Raphael from Soundsurge entertainment is AWESOME! He was so professional and easy to work with and truly put me at ease for the day of the wedding. I knew the DJ was nothing I had to worry about. Sound Surge did an AMAZING job for our New Year's Eve wedding. Scott was our dejay and he had us dancing from 7:30pm until 1:30 am! My guests are still texting me saying what a great wedding it was! Raphael and his team did an amazing job providing the entertainment for our wedding! Before the wedding, he made sure that he knew what we wanted out of our music and our expectations. The day of the wedding, they arrived early to set everything up and even helped when we had a small slideshow malfunction. Raphael did a great job as a DJ and used his skills to read the crowd to ensure the dance floor was full most of the night. He did a great job playing a wide range of music as well as our suggestions to please all of our guest. We also had a photo booth through them and it was a huge hit with our guests. They provided an attendant and props just to man the photo booth all night.

Turn DOWN FOR RAPH! Raphael was absolutely amazing as our wedding DJ. From meeting with him well in advance to describe to him the theme of the music we wanted to playing songs in his studio to a special surprise for the bride from the groom, he was funny, professional and helpful! As a recreational DJ, I was worried about micro-managing the playlist, but he was appreciative of knowing exactly what we wanted to hear. He made us feel extremely comfortable about the entire process and just made it ...FUN. Our guests were telling us all night how amazing the music was and how much fun it was to be on the dance floor. My wife and I danced the night away without taking a break because we didn't want to miss one song Raphael played. We would not have had the time of our lives that we did at our wedding if it were not for Raphael and his MC Mike. It was definitely a party for the ages!

Right from the start, we knew the Sound Surge was the company for us. So many of the companies are loud and in your face. Raph and sound surge are not like that at all. Simply put, they let the music and their experience speak for itself. Our Photo Booth was fantastic. The props were way better than any other wedding Photo Booth i have ever used. Our slideshow was perfect, it still brings a tear to my eye when I see it. But most of all, the music was perfect. Chris and his crew managed to make all our specific song requests come through the day of the wedding. We had so many unique songs that we wanted to play and they did not disappoint. Plus, the mix that Chris did kept our friends dancing the night away.

I could not have asked for a better team to manage the music and photo booth the day of our wedding. Not only did Raphael text me and email me days leading to our wedding but even the day of he wanted to make sure he had all details wrapped up.

He listened to every crazy nonsense of mine and was able to engage the bilingual crowd extremely well. Pants were ripped, shoes were removed and people were chanting, "One last song!" at 1AM.

We had an outdoor ceremony where he came fully prepared with everything our live acoustic singer may have needed and a back up of our ceremony music incase anything happened. We recently got married in June at Bryant Park Grill in NYC and had the best possible experience with SoundSurge Entertainment. We planned our wedding from California which could have been very complicated and difficult, but SoundSurge was unbelievably flexible and proficient at accommodating every one of our needs. Raf was the best DJ we could have possibly hired. We met with him multiple times to put together our preferences and he was excellent in helping make our music itinerary. Raphael was very easy to work with. As soon as we met him, he showed us different video options. With a few description words, he knew right away what we were looking for. We booked with them 1 week before our wedding, we were not sure if we wanted a wedding video but I am glad we decided to get one. Chriz (videographer) was with us for 10 hours, he was very creative and enthusiastic as well. It was very nice to work with him and his assistant. He also worked well with the photographer which was from a different company. We received the highlight video and we just love it!!! We shared it with friends and they like the quality of the video and creativity that Chriz offers. I would definitely recommend them to friends. Great company! Our attendant was very pleasant and blended right in. There was no wires because it was all done wirelessly which was fantastic. He had the lights in sync with the DJ which made it look amazing. Would definitely recommend!

Soundsurge did a fabulous job at my wedding! So many people have commented on how good the music was and how much fun they had. The photobooth was an awesome add on to such a great night! I highly reccommend them!!!

I can't believe it's been a year now since Raph with Sound Surge Entertainment DJed our wedding on 11/4/11. I know it may sound like I am exaggerating (I'm not), but our friends STILL talk about how they had the best time they have ever had at a wedding because of our DJ! People were dancing the entire night,... literally. Raph made planning everything easy and the day of the wedding stress-free. Raph cares about his work and it shows. He also DJed my sister's wedding and it was equally as spectacular. My only regret was that I didn't book more services through Sound Surge (I only found out they do more than just DJing afterward). The time before your wedding will be stressful, but book Sound Surge you'll have one less thing to worry about. Thanks again Raph!

My husband and I could not have been happier with Raphael and his crew!! Everyone at my wedding said the music was great and danced all night!! Raphael played exactly what I asked for, including some of his own awesome remixes! I had been to a couple functions where Soundsurge was the DJ so I knew I wanted them for my wedding. I can't say enough good things about Raphael himself and the job they did for my wedding. Book Soundsurge!!!

Soundsurge literally made our wedding worth having. The music was talked about more than anything else after the wedding.They were on time, did everything asked of them ( and more), and made our wedding more fun than we could have ever imagined. Could not have possibly asked for more.

Raph and his team were professional, and at the same time the most personable group to work with. He was very helful during the planning portion of the wedding, helping my husband and I put together a playlist that was unique, original, and let our separate personalities shine. The dance floor was packed from the beginning of the night all the way through to the end. A few weeks after the wedding, we received a trailor as well as the full length video from his videograper Koa. It was amazing! The day is forever in our hearts, but also set to a great soundtrack so that we can re-live everything from getting ready, to the ceremony at Church, to the party that just kept on going.
Thanks so much for everything Raph!! Would be my number one reccommendation to anyone in the area looking for a Dj or Videographer!

Soundsurge was an amazing company to work with. They provided my wife and I service that was second to none. Our guests had an absolutely incredidible time at the wedding, and they are still talking about how much they all had. The wedding video they provided us with was finished very quicky, with quality editing that truly surpassed any videos we have seen in the past. They also provided us with a demo video, which we were able to electronically send to our friends and family. The company posted candid photo's 3 days after the wedding, which was great to have while we were on our honeymoon. Those pictures are honestly 90% of our guests current FB pics. One other thing they provided us with was a sideslow, which is not like a boring slideshow most people are accustomed to. It had smooth transistions, and it was actually fun to watch. All in all, the experience we had with Soundsurge was terrific, and they come highly recommended in our book.

Raphael was the DJ at our wedding on 11/17/17 at Rock Island Lake Club. Raphael was amazing!! Everyone at our wedding was asking us where we found him and could not get over how he had everyone out on the dance floor ALL night! Raphael made time to meet with my husband and I before our wedding. Raphael was a great DJ who was to the point and really got the crowd going with the music we had requested, as well as his own. It was a great night and the audio and visuals were great. He designed our gobo to our looking and it looked perfect.

Huge thanks goes out to Raphael and his team, Joey and David. Raphael was there every step of the way with suggestions and making all our requests happen. SoundSurge has all the update equipment and technology plus a top variety of DJs to choose from. Our wedding was on a Yacht and David and Joe handled the 3 levels perfectly. We needed a good variety of music having a mixed guest list that needed a good Latin set for our Puerto Rican side, along with the regular top 40/house/hip hop for the younger generation, plus something to keep the more mature adults moving - everyone had so much fun. Overall , Soundsurge got our wedding guests up and dancing the entire night so we were very happy about that. We met with Soundsurge 2 times and discussed songs and he seemed very cool and accommodating. I felt very confident that he'd follow our playlist and special requests etc. I was very disappointed, though. What upset me is that although I gave him a long list of songs to play, he played several songs that were not on my list (songs I have never even heard of) and did not play the songs I had down for must plays or dedications and instead played songs I have never heard of that were not on the list at all. At the end of the night, I saw that he had my list in front of him but for some reason was never really following it. I was so busy all night that I did not really have time to say anything and it didn't hit me until later on that he was not playing the songs I wanted. I was VERY upset. I also emailed him to ask why this happened and no reply. Also the photobooth was not announced as much as it should have been so some didn't know it was there. No props were provided ,as promised, so it was a good thing i brought some of my own. He had said there would be props provided like mustaches and masks and nothing was there. I spent so much time making my playlist and highlighting songs to play and it is just a real disappointment that he ignored it.

MIA - Never Again

I would change this to a 5 tomorrow if he would send me the DVD and raw footage we paid for. 3 years now of never answering emails and we can’t get what we paid for. Terrible. DO NOT USE if you want video. Raphael if you decide you would like to send me what I paid for I will gladly remove this.

BEWARE!!!!
There was no option to leave ZERO stars. I am going through hell with this company. We hired them to do the photography and video for my wedding in November of 2017! We got the photos shortly after and were told that the video would follow shortly.
Nine months later we still don't have a video! We email and call numerous times and don't even receive a response! It's criminal that they took our money and haven't given us our video. The lack of communication is inexcusable!

We received one response in the beginning of June stating that they shipped the video out to us and that we would receive it shortly. It is now August, we haven't received anything and we've reach out to follow up DAILY and still no response.

There have been so many deaths in my family since the wedding and this wedding video footage captured my relatives last moments on this earth. It is disgusting that we don't have the video and it is worse that we are being constantly ignored.

Do yourself a favor and hire someone else. I wouldn't wish this horrible experience on anyone!

Using the recommendations of Bear Brook Valley in NJ , I chose to work with SSE. When I first booked they responded to every message within 24 hours. It is now 4 months after my wedding and I have yet to receive a complete video. I was sent a video to approve I had to point out audio issues and even a portion of the video showing the ceiling of the venue. I should not have to tell professionals how to edit a video. It takes weeks at a time to get in contact with them and they do not answer the phone AT ALL. They have ruined my wedding experience.

HORRIBLE is an understatement. They do not even deserve one star. We went with sound surge bc our venue, Bear Brook Valley, recommended them and it was the worst mistake ever. I should have known throughout the entire planning process when they didn't answer any emails or phone calls. It was impossible to ever get in touch with them. The real problem was at our wedding though. It makes me so sad to say this but it was the worst DJ ever! One guy was supposed to be the MC and get people going but he didn't even speak and the second guy was supposed to be DJing and he was HORRIBLE. At least 6 people our family and some friends went up to him at different times asking what the hell is going on. My husband had a special dance with his aunts and they never even announced their names after we had multiple conversations about this. They also never did the birthday shout outs that we also discussed many times. After our wedding I wrote Raphael an email expressing our disappointment and he has YET TO RESPOND!! That is why I am now writing this review. I never want to put a company down but to not even get a response!? I guess they took our money and could truly careless about how they were the biggest disappointment from our wedding day. DO NOT BOOK WITH SOUND SURGE!
