Absolutely Amazing!

Gene was wonderful to work with! We hired him for our wedding after reading all the positive reviews and he did an amazing job. He was in constant communication with us prior to the wedding as well as very professional and kind to work with. He played all of our requests and kept people out on the dance floor. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ!

Gene was very responsive, thorough with questionares on music preferences and timeline of music. He worked well with the day-of-coordinator and photographer to ensure all sound needs were met. Outstanding! 10 out of 10.

Mr. Gene was amazing from day 1! He was so responsive and answered all of the questions that we had for him. He sent us a questionnaire a month before our wedding and made sure he had all the information that he needed in order to make the day run smoothly. The week of our wedding he sent us an in depth script for the entire reception, which was super helpful. Not only did he keep the reception flowing perfectly, but he arrived early on our wedding day to allow our ceremony musicians access to all of his equipment, and even set it all up. I am so glad we decided to book SoundScapes DJ!

Best DJ Ever!

Gene was so great to work with from the first chat we had with him to our final dance and send off. He paid attention to every single detail. Our guest loved the photo booth, and the music was perfect. We couldn't recommend Gene enough.

Would definitely recommend and here is why!

Gene did a wonderful job as the DJ for our wedding! He was very patient with me responding to his questionnaires and made sure to clarify exactly what we wanted. At the event, he kept the music loud enough to hear, but quite enough where we were able to talk with our guests at a normal talking level. Thank you again Gene!

Wonderful DJ: 11/10!!

Gene was one of the best, easiest, and most communicative vendors we worked with on our wedding weekend. From the very first email, he was prompt, informative, and very kind. He kept track of our deadlines even better than we did, and thank goodness for that since things get so overwhelming toward the end. I'm very grateful to him for being so easy to communicate with and giving us such a wonderful, worry free experience. Everything went perfectly from the ceremony through the reception, and he made sure our friends and family had a really memorable evening on the dance floor. Would HIGHLY recommend him!!!!

Gene is a delight to work with. He is so caring and pays close attention to every detail to make sure the event is perfect. He even did the prayer and was so eloquent and sincere. The music was amazing! The lights were beautiful and brought life to the venue. Best DJ EVER!!! I will be calling again when our second daughter gets married!

This review is long overdue - but if you are still looking for your DJ you can stop here. Our wedding was truly amazing and we give a huge amount of credit to SoundScapes DJ Services. Gene was absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish. He was always so responsive and really helped us figure out what we wanted when we were indecisive. Soundscapes DJ Services was honestly one of the best decisions we made, so seriously, if you are still looking for your DJ - stop. You will not be disappointed! HIGHLY recommend!

If you’re looking to hire a DJ or photobooth for any upcoming events, Gene is your man. Soundscapes DJ Services were an absolute joy to work with from start to finish. They were so quick to respond, they sent a very easy questionnaire to fill out for all the important details like announcements and names to call, and they had tons of suggestions and useful tips for us to make our wedding day great. Gene kept guest entertained and the events moving smoothly, and when any sort of change popped up on the side of our photographer or coordinators needs to meet our timeline, he filled the gaps and kept it running seamlessly. He was so personable and kind, and our guest loved the photo booth and how user friendly it was! He also provided all the props for it and set up and took down everything quickly that day. It was incredible and we were so blessed by their services.

Gene is a life long friend. Very kind and humble (always has been). Genes work at my daughters wedding was well worth it. I didn’t worry the first time. As the ceremony took place, nerves were all over the place for everyone involved in the wedding. Gene was given a playlist with a song matched with each pair walking the aisle. The timing, volume, and execution of each song was done perfectly. Everyone was reluctant at to hustle to the dance floor but the atmosphere was electrified as the music began to play. Gene DJ’d my daughter wedding and it could not have been a better experience. He was quick to respond to any questions I had and very accommodating with our date changes due to COVID. Beautiful reception, FANTASTIC DJ

Gene was absolutely amazing to work with. He is so kind and down to earth and personalizes your experience the way you want it to be! My husband and I wanted a certain part of the song to be played for the grand entrance and it could not have worked out any better. Dj Gene was so kind, helpful, and understanding he made mine and my husbands day so special! He helped with song choices and I gave him a list of songs to go off of based on our taste and he did an amazing job picking out songs that were exactly what I was looking for but couldn’t explain! Gene Joy and Sound Scapes DJ services , I can not say enough about you and your company. I have worked with numerous DJ companies over the years and I can truthfully say that I have never been more pleased. It doesn’t matter what the schedule of events says, if It needed to be adjusted on the fly, you were right there with me. You never question, you just adjust and go with the flow, never missing a beat. Other DJ’s want to make the reception about them and their “way” of doing things. What you want

DJ Gene really listens to what you want and is very flexible with making your wedding reception all about you. You can create your own song list and choose from categories. He brought a TV to allow us to share a video slide show my husband created which was very special to us. He is so friendly, and many of our guests even commented on how he was a really good DJ. I have already recommended his services to other people!

Gene with SoundScapes is an incredible DJ! He is absolutely one of the kindest people you will ever meet, and is a top-notch professional in is business. Not only does he provide excellent service, he goes above and beyond to give a wedding experience unlike any other! We were blown away by his high-quality set up, which included everything from all of the audio equipment and speakers, sound boards, awesome lighting, and even a huge TV screen used during the reception! Dance the Night Away

Thanks to the talent and amazing work ethic of Gene at SoundScapes, we and our guests danced the night away! Gene did an incredible job reading the crowd and playing a perfect mix of music to get everyone up and dancing throughout the night. Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had. Professional and fun DJ

Gene was very accommodating. He made it very easy for us to figure out what music we wanted during every part of our wedding, as well as giving great suggestions when we needed it. He had multiple setups, one for the ceremony, and one for the reception. He used lapel mics and regular mics so that our guests could hear everything, including our wonderful vows to one another. The sound systems were tuned to sound very clear, and professional. He played all of our requested songs and everyone had a great time! Gene did everything perfectly and helped to make our day special. He genuinely cared about every detail and we couldn’t have ask for any better. His services were well worth the price, and we were 100% satisfied!

Great value for a fantastic DJ!

DJ Gene Joy was great! I was really lost looking for a DJ, and I didn't know where to start. Luckily my roommate (and bridesmaid) suggested Soundscapes DJ services! Her brother used them for his wedding so I decided to look into DJ Gene Joy's services. The most important thing to me was that he was okay with travelling! His price point was right in my range and included more than what I thought I could get at my budget. He showed up early for soundcheck and was available to talk to during the day, which I appreciated so I could double check pronunciation. He provided lights and the perfect selection of music for the day. I was getting compliments on the DJ for a week after the big day! He is very easy to work with (I'm very particular, and gave him specific time stamps to start/stop music and everything went PERFECTLY) and everyone loved him. One of my favorite things was probably the questionnaire he gives to get a good idea of what you're looking for for your big day. I would absolutely recommend to anyone in the North Georgia area.

Gene from Soundscapes was so great to work with from day 1! He is the nicest guy ever, always responds quickly and is very organized. We were a little stressed about getting the song list together for the wedding, but Gene sent a form a few weeks before that basically did the work for us! And for the songs we hadn't already selected, he had a database full of recommendations. Very professional, kind and great at his job. Our reception was so much fun, Gene is a great DJ and also a great emcee throughout the reception events!

Kept the party going!

I had some strange requests for music and a vague description of what I wanted played at the reception and DJ Gene Joy made it happen. He was extremely professional, very responsive, filled in the blanks in my playlist perfectly, and kept my guests on the dance floor all night long. I couldn't have asked for a better time!

We are so thankful that we were able to have SoundScapes DJ services at our son's wedding. Gene did an excellent job. He sent a very detailed questionnaire for my son and his fiancé to complete that included so many details. They were able to tell what songs would be played for every separate event at the reception from the introductions of the wedding party, the father/daughter dance, all the way to the cake cutting ceremony. The ceremony went perfectly, and all those in attendance were able to hear the ceremony even though it was at a large outdoor amphitheater. Gene worked extremely well with the wedding coordinator for all aspects of the ceremony and reception. We could not have been more pleased!! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience that really helped the day go smoothly. You guys are the BEST!!

Soundscapes DJ Services was recommended to us for our wedding and the first time I spoke with Gene We knew we that we would want him to be the one to DJ at our wedding! He checked in often to make sure we did not need any help as well. When we showed up at the venue he had already arrived for sound check and to make sure everything was in working order! It was absolutely perfect for our wedding on the river side from the day we decided to hire them to the set up and tear down of their equipment, communication and planning didn’t skip a beat. The difference a good DJ can make in any ceremony is huge and in this case it was perfect and couldn’t have went better. Weddings are usually chaos and you never know how the tempo of things may change and in our case no matter what happened they were on top of things and didn’t skip a beat! I booked DJ Gene for a client's wedding and he was nothing short of fantastic! From the very beginning he was more than helpful, efficient, and a delight to work with. I am a wedding coordinator for 2 up-scale wedding venues in Roswell, GA and I have seen many, many DJs and I must say that I was beyond impressed with Gene and his crew for quite a few different reasons. His set-up was extremely professional, the sound quality was top notch, and he never missed a beat. He followed the timeline I provided to a T and was more than willing to accommodate any last minute changes. Gene and DJSoundScapes was great. I would highly recommend him. Everyone at the wedding had a great time dancing (even those relatives who rarely dance), and several guests commented to me that the DJ was fantastic. The dance floor was hot, hot, hot all evening! SoundScapes provided excellent service. They made sure every detail was correct to make our special day absolutely perfect. Furthermore, I was able to customize my playlist. That was important to me because the music meant a lot to me. I highly reccommend SoundScapes. I liked them so much, I had them to DJ the dance at the school where I teach.

Gene was fantastic. He worked with us to create a playlist that kept our guests of all ages entertained and on the dance floor for the whole night. He handled all the special features (introductions, cake, first dances, etc.) with skill and grace, and he had just the right tricks to get the dancing started with everyone out on the floor. He was super-professional throughout the process, and we had every confidence that he'd arrive in plenty of time to do an awesome job. Gene gave us a great show for a reasonable price and was a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend him.

Absolutely LOVED Gene!! Always quick to answer any questions we had and was a very big part of making our daughter's wedding day PERFECT!! Highly recommend for any occasion!!

I couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our wedding!!! Gene was amazing and everything ran so smooth. He showed up earlier than expected and had great sound for the ceremony and reception. We cannot thank him and his associate enough for their great work!! I would highly recommend them to any one in need of a DJ for any event.

They are great and affordable. They did my wedding this past April. So professional and they let you decide how you want everything to go. If you need help, they can give suggestions of course. They make it "all about you" as it should be. Very go with the flow if things end up changing last minute. Definitely good at what they do! You can tell they enjoy it ??

You will not be disappointed with Soundscapes! Gene and Lg are simply the BEST! They are professional, hardworking, honest and so easy to work with. I loved how Gene just mixed in with the guests and was so personable! So make sure you book early as his schedule fills up quick! Carter/Wright Wedding

We used Soundscapes DJ Service for our Sons wedding on June 4th, 2016. He did such a great job we used him again for our daughters wedding on April 15th, 2017. Gene is so great to work with and very accommodating with an excellent selection of music. He gave us great advice when we weren't sure on some things. Make sure you fill out the questionnaire he sends. It makes it so much easier to plan you timeline. Great job and great value both times! Thanks again Gene.

Gene was absolutely awesome! I was a little frazzled trying to get everything together for my wedding, and he was totally responsive and completely accommodating the whole time. He really made this a much better experience for me.

They were absolutely amazing and did a fantastic job with our wedding. I couldn't ask for more. They did a great job with accommodating our requests and helped make our special day just that more special. You can't go wrong with them. They did an excellent job getting people on their feet and dancing.

Gene was so great to work with! He was always available, responded quickly, and wanted to make sure I was happy with everything before our wedding day! During the wedding reception, he was very flexible in switching things up as needed as the night progressed. Wonderful DJ!
