Ron was absolutely INCREDIBLE to work with. He went above and beyond the duty of 'dj.'- he is truly an artist and has his craft down to a science. Beyond having every song that my very ecclectic husband and I wanted- he coordinated the best day of my life and helped everything run so smoothly. I could not reccomend his services enough. Incredibly responsive, flexible, and his experience is very, very evident. You are getting a wedding coordinator/dj/consultant all in one when you go with him!

Great Service

Ron is an awesome dj to work with! He pays great attention to detail! He made sure we had the reception in order the way we wanted. He also has a variety of music and made sure to have anything we requested.

Amazing experience!

Ron was amazing! Great setlist, very interactive! He was engaged and encouraged all guests to dance. He was very helpful in aiding both the procession and dinner. Both the ceremony and reception were beyond expectation.

Our reception was amazing thanks to Ron Griggs! Ron played every song we asked for. He gave us great suggestions that were greatly appreciated. Everyone danced all night long! We had guest say that it was the best wedding reception they have been to and in some cases they said it was better than their own!

Ron was superb to work with. I am so glad we found him as a DJ. He met with us several times during the planning process and even had late night calls and emails to discuss logos, pronunciations, timelines, etc. We created a timeline of events throughout the night so Ron could make sure we didn't get caught talking to our guests and not doing dances, etc. After going through and approving the final timeline, Ron sent it to our vendors. We didn't have to do a thing. With his uplighting and name monogram our venue looked completely different and helped set the setting for the wedding! We picked a couple songs for our must play list but left it pretty open for Ron and our guests to pick the music. The music selection was great. The dance floor was never empty and our guests are still raving about how much fun our wedding was. Ron is the perfect DJ to pick and definitely helps with the planning and timeline of the wedding! You will not be disappointed.

Ron was a GREAT DJ, his service and dedication to our event was awesome! He really cares about what he does and he always made sure that we were informed of what he was doing and how everything was going. The music and lights made our event just come to life! Great Job Ron!

Ron Griggs and his team were 200% fantastic and went way above and beyond what any bride and groom can expect from a DJ. He was more than just our DJ, but also our event manager/coordinator. He made sure the event went smoothly and that all the guests had a good time. He was respectful, kind, and most of all organized. His system really helped make this part of the wedding very easy. We would highly recommend Ron Griggs and Sounds by Design to anyone no matter what the event. We hope to use him again for future events.

Best DJ I could have ever asked for!! Ron made everything perfect! I was so worried and stressed about everything but he was so beyond helpful and easy to talk to. He went out of his way the day before to make sure we all knew what was going to happen. Everyone loved him at the wedding. he was great with the people and played the right music for the group we had! I will recommend him to everyone!! I couldn't imagine anyone else!! Thank you!

Ronnie from Sounds by Design was the DJ at our wedding on Sept. 6, 2014. He did a fabulous job! People were constantly out on the dance floor (to my surprise, as many of my friends and family members do not usually dance). He played a great mix of music. My husband and I did not pick too many songs, so he had free reign. Everyone had a wonderful time. Ronnie was very easy to get in touch with and was professional at all times! My husband and I even skyped with him when setting up our music list!

Sounds By Design did an absolutely fabulous job with our wedding! Ron Griggs was not only our DJ, but served as the MC. He worked with us throughout the planning stages and provided ideas and insight that we would not have thought of otherwise. Sounds by design (Ron Griggs) helped make my wedding amazing! I was so worried that people wouldn't dance, but he kept tons of people on the floor dancing all night! He is very professional and listened carefully to what we wanted. Would definitely recommend.

Ron was the DJ for my wedding. He provided professional service, and was easy to work with. He prepared an itinerary to keep the flow of the reception moving all night, and our guests had a fun time.
If I could change anything, I would have gone over the names of our wedding party with Ron a few more times, so their names would have been pronounced correctly. This did provide entertainment, as everyone found the mispronounciations funny.
The last thing I would have changed is the dance after the anniversary dance. The couple married the longest did not enjoy dancing a whole song with us, nor being the center of attention. While the idea of the dance was sweet, it was just way too long of a song.

Ron was amazing! He did a fabulous job taking all of my desires and delivering... and for a fraction of the cost of other DJ's that we have seen, and added uplighting and a personalized monogram! He kept all the other vendors aware of the scheduling and kept the dance floor hopping! We had the guests from the wedding next door crash ours and tell us how ours was so much more fun!

Ron was great! We sat down with him early on to let him know what we wanted for the reception. A month or so before the reception we met again. Ron had an itinerary all ready to go. He even gave one to the hotel and our photographer so everyone was on the same page. Everything went smoothly the whole night. We were also lucky enough to find a dj who not only was willing to perform at our same sex reception but supported it and that meant a lot to is! I would definitely recommend his services!

The DJ and lighting were perfect at our outdoor wedding. Everyone was very impressed and the lighting looked awsome against the white tent. The tent size was increased last minute and everything was taken care of right away. We couldn't have asked for anything better at such a great value.

Ron was so much fun at the recepetion and from the begining he helped me and kyle. We not sure about what to play so that everybody would have fun so we left that up to Ron and i can say that was the best decision. He played a variety of songs and everybody had so much fun, the reception was so much fun and thats all do to Ron.

Ron Griggs did an excellent job. I have never met a DJ who comes to a rehearsal! Other than a few technical details (feedback during ceremony and skipping music during reception), Ron did a great job and has nice equipment.

Ron at Sounds by Design made our wedding everything we wanted it to be! We were planning from out of town so he was very flexible, understanding and accommodating when we needed to do our consultation and planning via Skype. Even with planning from afar he gave us exactly what we asked for! His planning sheet makes figuring out how the day will go very easy! We even had custom song requests and he was able to make those happen and we were also able to send him song files we wanted played that we put together ourselves. He was very professional and puts in the extra effort. He was at our venue very early the day of our wedding. The ceremony was outside, and despite heavy rain up until half an hour before the ceremony he was able to get everything put back together and ready on time.

We give our highest recommendation to Ron at Sounds by Design! You will be happy you chose him as the DJ for your event!
