Mike at SoundMasters DJ was an absolute pleasure to work with. From the moment we met Mike we knew he would be a great fit for our wedding. He is so professional and responsive and also very knowledgeable of the wedding industry so can help with additional suggestions/ideas for you!

I definitely recommend Sound Masters! Mike's service was absolutely amazing. He provided more than just "what is expected". He genuenly cared about the "feeling" we wanted for our wedding. Mike took the time to get to know us as a couple and at the same time gave us advice that helped us take a deep breath through the entire process. Truly Cares for the Bride and Groom

Mike is a great DJ! He works wonderfully with other vendors, and at the end of the day truly wants a bride and groom to have the wedding of their dreams. He had all my guests on their feet dancing at my reception. Mike also made sure my husband and I had a last dance together at the end of the night, and I cannot tell you how much that meant to me. Hire SoundMasters DJ Entertainment and you'll have a wonderful night filled with the best music and dancing!

An experienced professional who knew exactly what was needed in order to make our wedding reception amazing.

Mike was amazing. He made our wedding a fun and memorable event for everyone. He was extremely professional, kept the night running smoothly, and knew how to read the crowd and play music that got people up and dancing. We couldn’t be happier with the end result. The Best DJ in the World

Without a doubt, Mike was worth every penny for our wedding and I highly recommend him to anyone planning a wedding. He was very friendly and fun to work with and helped with the scheduling and timing of our big day. He was able to help brainstorm different fun activities and ideas for the wedding when we met with him and made sure our day was exactly what we wanted it to be. His website tools were easy to use and made selecting the music for the wedding very easy. There's no way our wedding would have run as smooth as it did without his help and I am extremely glad we found him!

Excellent on all fronts

Would highly recommend this DJ for your event. He was professional, personable, easy to work with and made our event memorable. He was able and willing to honor all the little things we asked for to make out ceremony special. He even recommended several different options that we would have ever thought of that made our reception fun. Give this fella a chance, you won't be disappointed.

Great service, nice music, kept the party going

Mike is a great DJ. He controlled the flow of events like a master, made sure everyone had fun. The dance floor was full throughout. A master of reading the mood of the crowd and a man who knows his craft.

Amazing, professional, fun!

If you want to have a great time at your wedding hire DJ Mike McCandless!!! One of my friends got married In 2016, at the time We we’re engaged and looking for a DJ for our special day. We absolutely loved him. Got his card and kept it until it was our time! which happened 2 years later September 8, 2018.
DJ Mike is great! He’s funny, very professional, and knows how to get the party started and rocking!
We got married out at our local lake in Sherman TX and he had told us that he had never been out there before. Everything went great. Being outside and right by the lake I figured it would be hard to hear the music and talking but the music was perfect and DJ Mike had mircrophones for our officiant and husband and everyone could hear everything perfectly!
When we had our grand entrance for the wedding reception man what a roar! He must of been playing some really good jams while we were taking our pictures because the crowd was ready to party!!! DJ Mike even made 2 plates of food for me and my hubby!! Not only is he very professional but he is also very thoughtful!

We played a few games during the reception. A how well do the bride and groom know each other? with instead of shoes we played with a bride and groom Barbie. Our people at the reception loved that! Everyone was cracking up! And we even played a game where we went around took pictures with every single one of our tables which was a great idea! He also did a longest married couple dance which was neat! Everyone including me and my hubby danced the night away!

All I can say is If you want to have a great time hire DJ Mike McCandless you will not be disappointed! He is amazing, professional and so fun!!!

Mike did an outstanding job for my daughter's wedding. He added to the fun of the occasion with not only music but a great newlywed game that was a huge hit with the crowd. As the mom of the bride, I appreciated that he always responded immediately to all questions by email and/or phone as we planned the event. This along with a very reasonable rate for the day was his weight in gold for a stress free vendor.

Mike was a great wedding dj!! He was very easy to communicate with and on the day of he definitely went above the duties of a dj. He checked in with us throughout the reception, brought us water and was always there to help.

MIKE IS ON THE BALL! He read the crowd, and gave them exactly what they wanted to dance to. The night started out with pop/party music, but in the middle of the evening there was a sudden shift to country music that was first requested by one of the guests that packed the floor. Instead of switching back to pop/party, Mike continued to 'feed' them great county dancing songs. After a bit, the floor thinned out, so he moved back to pop/dance, and filled the floor again. He could not have provided better music for our pary/wedding celebration.
ALSO - let me add that he is on top of it always - as the father of the bride I had speaking requirements, necessitating the use of a wireless mic. My voice began to cut out, and what I didn't realize was that I was inadvertently pressing the mute button. SO, instead of embarrassing me like most DJs would have and hollering at me that I was basically goofing up myself, he runs out to me and hands me a different mic to make it look like it was a mic problem instead of a goofy me problem.

I have been a DJ in my past, and have worked audio at my church for many years. THIS GUY KNOWS HIS STUFF!

I know when you max out the ratings it doesn't appear real, but Mike is such a great persona and did such a phenomenal job with my daughters wedding I wouldn't know where to rate him less than fantastic.

Mike was the DJ for my daughter's wedding and even though we spent 10 months planning all the details and had very high expectations for the ceremony and reception, the actual event was better than we expected and Mike was a big part of that. He spent quality time in advance working with me and my daughter to make sure he was on the same page with music and the overall flow of the reception. And Mike can and will (if asked) help out in all areas of the wedding. He's got great recommendations for all the other functions you might hire (photographer, catering, car, dress, etc.).

He also doesn't do anything that would be dumb, awkward, or anything like that to make the wedding party or anyone else there uncomfortable. Mike was also our MC for the reception and was so relaxed, comfortable, and the right amount of humor and respect. Also two days before the wedding I got cold feet about using the venue's sound for the ceremony and ask Mike and it was no problem for him to step in and take care of it. I would recommend Mike for the sound at the ceremony in addition to taking care of everything at the ceremony. Mike helps out everywhere he can and he was a blessing to be a part of one of the most special events in our families lives.

Mike was the best ! He officiated and DJ'd our wedding! He consistently asked us if we needed anything through out the wedding process, and gave us so many awesome suggestions to help us with our wedding. My Husband and I literally couldn't have asked for a better DJ! Mike was great! He was so much more than just a typical DJ. I didn't have a wedding planner or anything, so I was pretty much on my own and he literally helped on all aspects! He made sure everything was taken care of. He played all the songs we wanted and made sure the dance floor was full! I'd recommend him to anyone!! He was more than great!!

Mike did an amazing job at my wedding. He is very professional and provides everything I needed and more! He kept a great flow, was very organized, and all my guests had the best time and only had great things to say about the music! He was everywhere at once, he even made sure my husband and I had a plate to eat and served us drinks! He made the party so fun and I cannot recommend him enough! I cannot recommend Mike from SoundMasters enough. I was told music can easily make or break the wedding, and that is so true because Mike definitely MADE my wedding. He has a very thorough (but not time consuming) web form to fill out, and we had a couple of conversations. He played all my favorites and I loved the music from start to end.

Not only was his music selection perfect, but he really kept the event together and made sure everything stayed on track through out the night. He even gave me a heads up before certain events (father daughter dance, ect), so I could wrap up whatever conversation I was in the middle in without being rude/caught off guard. It was so nice to not have to worry about about the timing. We even forgot to cut our first dance song ahead of time and we didn't realize it until the middle of the dance. All I had to do was give him a nod and he knew what to do!

I kid you not-everyone who was at our wedding raved about our music. And on top of that Mike is the perfect gentleman. He is courteous, professional and is so passionate about what he does. You can not go wrong with him and will be so happy!

Mike was fantastic! He kept the energy going the whole night and picked some amazing songs. He did the music for our ceremony as well and it was great. He has a website where you choose all of your songs and it is easy to navigate. You can add songs that you definitely want played, played if there is time and ones you don't want played! It made the music choosing process very easy. He has such a passion for his clients and he will care about you from your first visit to your wedding.

We also used his photo booth and everyone loved it! We received a book with a copy of all the photos with guests personal remarks. We love looking through it to remember the night. His staff that works with him were fantastic and were lovely to be around.

We LOVED working with Mike and I highly recommend him as your DJ!!!

I want to commend Mike and Michelle they did a wonderful job at our reception from the music to the lighting and making sure the reception ran smoothly!! They kept the reception rockin all night!! They really went above and beyond to make sure everything was wonderful!!

Mike & Michelle were the best DJ duo we could have hoped for at our wedding! Everyone had so much fun! Music was great and the dance floor was always full and they kept all the activities on schedule. Communication was also great which was a big deal to us leading up to the wedding day. BEST DJ EVER!!!! Our wedding & reception was an absolutely perfect. Mike did an incredible job! He provided our music for our ceremony & reception. He has such a wonderful personality & was so much fun to work with. From our first meeting with him we know we had found the perfect DJ for our wedding! Mike was awesome for the very first email to the very last dance at our wedding! We emailed Mike about being the DJ at our wedding and received a phone call to set up a meeting with him. We loved our meeting with him. He was so personable and asked a ton of questions to get to know us better. He added in several personal stories about himself and his wife. It was so nice to fell like we knew him so well after just an hour of talking. I had several questions throughout the planning process which led to many emails. Mike and his wife were great at responding to emails and phone calls!
Mike was our officiant, ceremony music and wedding DJ. He did an amazing job at all three! Our ceremony was just what we wanted. Short, sweet, simple and absolutely perfect! He played the best music for the reception and made sure everyone was having a great time! Mike and Michelle make a great team! They were always on top of things. Everything happened with it was supposed to happen and nothing was left undone. Special thanks to them for making out wedding day the BEST DAY EVER!

It was such a pleasure to work with Mike! He was so gracious and kind, and we felt completely comfortable knowing the reception was in his hands. He kept things moving and we were never worried about him playing any questionable music. We received many compliments on his DJ services after the wedding. We also appreciated his announcement to allow the B&G time to eat. He was even making sure other vendors were staying on top of their tasks. Would recommend him in a heartbeat! DJ Mike was beyond amazing! We hired him for our wedding in May 2015, and throughout the entire planning process he and his wife were a joy to work with and extremely helpful. You can have a great setting, the finest food and spirits and great people in attendance and we had all that but if your music is flat or if your DJ is not in tune with your party then all your planning will turn into a flop of a party. Mike assisted with all the activities and agenda leading up to the music and then when that dance floor as opened up, it never stopped. Everyone, from young to old were dancing and even though we extended our party by another hour, the music and energy supplied by Mike made this a rockin party. Comments from my 120 guests stated that this was the best party they had been too and music, music by Mike was the key to that success. Every DJ clears the floor at some point but Mike did not miss a beat and that floor rocked from start to finish. A DJ can make or break a wedding, and DJ Mike absolutely made our wedding night the most amazing day of our lives! Mike was without question the best wedding DJ I have ever experienced. He was friendly and courteous, extremely well-prepared and organized, provided excellent, personally-tailored song selections, had a top-notch sound system, and was very professional from start to finish. He wove the traditional reception elements together with fun and original game interludes smoothly, with excellent pacing. Mike and Michelle were extremely professional and a dream to work with! They have this DJ thing down to a science. They went above and beyond what we thought a DJ's duties would be. It was totally incredible the things they did for us, we were truly lucky to have met them as one of our venues preferred vendors. They really take their job seriously and have one thing as their goal, to make this the best day of the bride and grooms lives and they truly accomplished that. I highly suggest renting the photo booth too because you get so many more photos of family and guests its worth every penny and then some! Our families cannot stop talking about the photo booth and here we were married almost two months ago :) They were highly organized and made suggestions that really helped us because we had never planned a wedding before we had no idea what we needed or wanted. They were so easy to work with! Our only wish is that we had booked the venue longer because we needed a few more hours of dancing :) :) :) :) The night flew by because it was all so perfectly orchestrated with the help of these two amazingly wonderful people!

They did a great job of helping us iron out final details of our schedule by asking questions about our vision for the day, order of events, etc. That helped me plan for a few things I hasn't considered.

Mike and Michelle did such a wonderful job of helping us get organized and stay on track throughout the wedding. They were very helpful and organized leading up to the wedding, which was a relief being able to rely on their experience. It was also really nice to not have to worry about schedule and just focus on enjoying the company of my new wife with all our friends in family on the big day. They worked tirelessly and did a lot of things behind the scenes so that a lot of the wedding day stress was eliminated. Very thankful we went with them!

Soundmasters DJ is an amazing company, super friendly and easily reachable when needed. After hearing DJ Mike at my brother's wedding 3 years prior to my wedding I knew that he was the only DJ for my event. Soundmasters is very well priced, and the company is amazing to work with. WIth the song selections available and the easy accessibility of the Client Log-in, this was made this the easiest part of my wedding. I would HIGHLY recommend Soundmasters for any event as I know they would not let anyone down. Everyone to this day is still bragging about the music at my wedding.

Soundmasters DJ entertainment is absolutely amazing! Let me tell you, they are not just a DJ service!!! Mike and his wife ran my entire ceremony and reception! Mike took over the whole wedding timeline, it was so nice not to worry about anything! As mother of the bride, I did not hire a wedding planner & was doing everything myself. I was so overwhelmed by everything & Mike was our first vendor appt. I'll never forget, when my daughter & I left the appt. we got in the car & were totally relieved that the wedding was in Mike's hands!
Mike & Michelle did a beautiful job, working with the kids on the music they wanted, going over the timeline, making sure we "stayed on the timeline" at the wedding, & most of all, MAKING IT FUN!!!
Our families & our friends are still telling us how great the DJ was!

Mike and Michelle both went over and beyond to make my wedding night the fairytale I had envisioned. They called me the week before to ensure they had all of their questions answered and that I felt comfortable with any other song choices they could use as filler songs. They went over every single detail to make sure as the bride, there was no added stress about the music. They were patient in making sure they had all the songs I wanted played during the ceremony and reception, even if they had not heard the song before. During the ceremony, the music faded in and out perfectly. The reception was filled with the music choices we had discussed and the dance floor was packed all night long. The best part Mike was not only did he handle the music but he checked on my Husband and I every single hour, ensuring our drink glasses were full, we had ample time to sit and eat, and even how to cut the cake. I could not be more impressed with his service. His passion for his work is evident in his interaction with his clients. He was by far one of the best decisions we made in the entire wedding process and could have done it without him and his wife :)

Mike is nothing short of AMAZING! Other than becoming husband and wife, Mike with SoundMasters DJ was our favorite part of the entire wedding! He was funny, professional, and made my husband and I feel like royalty. The first time that I contacted Mike on the phone he was extremely friendly and had answers for all of my questions. We set up a meeting so that we could meet him. He didn't even mind when we brought our youngest two kiddos along. He is a family man and instantly made us feel comfortable. During the reception, he was able to feel the guests when selecting music from our playlist and everyone had a great time. I am still getting comments from our guests about how much they enjoyed the DJ. We also booked his photo booth, and it was a HUGE hit! Children and Adults alike were taking pictures all night long. If you are even considering booking a photo booth, please book it with Mike! You will not be disappointed! The only thing that I am disappointed in is the fact that our wedding is over and we will no longer have the pleasure of working with Mike and his beautiful wife. Mike is INCREDIBLE. Every bride needs him! Mike handled everything well - even details no one thought about. For instance, he reminded my MOH to help me touch up my lipstick after we cut the cake. Also, he went above and beyond to provide us with amazing service. We had a slideshow we wanted to show during the reception but forgot to bring the HDMI cord. Mike is absolutely amazing. He did an fantastic job at our wedding. Not only did he play great music but he made sure that Jason and I always knew what was going on and/or about to happen. In our meeting with Mike he suggested things that we didn't even think about. Great ideas. One of my favorites things about Mike is he makes it clear to the guest that the bride and groom need time to eat. He had my MOH and the best man "guard" us as we ate. I am so glad he did that.

He gave us a VERY detailed timeline for the wedding that not only helped us know how the night was going to go but it really helped our photographer and videographer know when the important things were going to happen.

I highly recommend Mike to anyone!!!!!

Mike was so great! Our photographer said that Mike was the most professional DJ he has ever worked with. Mike made sure to let our photographer know when we would be cutting the cake, bouquet toss, etc. and made sure not to announce anything unless our photographer was available. Not something I would have thought about, but so glad Mike took care of us! We had the dance floor packed...everybody was dancing. Mike would come and find us during the night and let us know was going to happen next (for instance, letting us know the cake cutting would be after the next song...which was SOOO helpful! I could finish conversations I was having with people instead of being pulled away instantly.) I have nothing but positive things to say. We had multiple people tell us that our wedding was the best and most fun wedding they have ever been to...and I think Mike had something to do with that! Would definitely recommend him.

We are so happy we decided to go with SoundMasters DJ! Mike is extremely professional, reasonably priced and catered to OUR taste in music perfectly. It was all about what we wanted and how to create a flow as we went from our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner to the reception. Two weeks before the wedding we had a 2 hour phone call with them to go over every detail and there is seriously nothing that they leave up to chance. You will know every single thing that is going to happen every moment of the day. Mike completely emceed the whole wedding and made sure everyone knew what was coming up and where they should be when it happened. On top of that he provided a timeline of the day for all of the vendors so that everyone was on the same page. He even worked with us on the price since we were on a budget. Honestly, there is nothing negative to say about him and I will recommend him to EVERYONE, and if I need a DJ again for anything I will call him up in a second.

SoundMasters DJ Entertainment of Texas was absolutely fantastic! Everyone had a blast at our wedding reception. We had so many people tell us how great our DJ was and what a great job he did with the music selection. I would recommend Mike McCandless of SoundMasters to anyone! We could not have been happier or more satisfied with SoundMasters DJ. He acted as Master of Ceremonies at the last minute, as well, since we did not think of that. The music was PERFECT!! He kept it soft for the before ceremony, and during dinner, so that guests didn't have to yell at each other over loud music. His selections for the dancing had EVERYONE up on the dance floor! I had MANY compliments on the music selections as well. He had to provide mics and music for the outdoor ceremony as well. Again, it was perfect! We highly recommend SoundMasters DJ Entertainment for ANY occasion where you need a DJ. He kept us on tract throughout the evening, and his services went above and beyond what he was paid to do. He also happily did everything we requested, while also giving us invaluable suggestions. A wedding can be a hectic event for the parents of the couple, but we never had to worry at all with the DJ services. While not always important to some, the fact that he was very personable and had a GREAT voice and manner, made the evening even more lovely. We will DEFINITELY use him for our daughter's wedding!! I had many requests during the evening for his business card! :-) Thank you so much for being a BIG part of the reason it was such a lovely evening!!

After our first meeting with Mike, we felt like he was a member of the family. Along the journey he was always quick to respond to questions and made sure to tailor the event to our needs. He was a pleasant addition to our reception. His timing, volumes, and personality made the music a part of the event instead of just another feature. Would I recommend SoundMasters? He's already been booked for my SIL's wedding, so yes!

Mike and Michelle provided 150% support from my first contact with them until the event. The dance floor was packed, the event flowed perfectly, there were no 'surprises' and everything went as planned. It was better than I could have ever hoped. I have received countless compliments on how fun the reception was and that is a direct result of Mike and Michelle's commitment to our wedding.

Mike was amazing!! He went above and beyond what typical DJ responsibilities are. He had our food waiting for us after our first dance, always checking to see if we needed anything and when the venues cake knife broke he had an extra ready to go!

Customer service was top-notch. We didn't feel like just clients - DJ Mike took care of us as if we were family - going out of his way to make sure our every need was catered to.
Communication wasn't a problem either - every email was answered within the same business day.
DJ Mike also had great suggestions (many of which we utilized), but at the same time, if we had a specific request, he did exactly what we wanted to ensure that it was OUR day.
The party was great. DJ Mike was more than a DJ - he truly was Master of Ceremonies. He managed the event timeline efficiently, played the right music at the right time, and everyone had a blast.
If you want someone who is professional and goes above and beyond what is required, then SoundMasters DJ Entertainment of Texas is who you should go to.

Working with Mike was so fun! He offered lots of helpful tips and ideas but was never pushy. He worked with us on every special request we asked for and is so personable. Mike was fantastic! We still have people tell us from summer of 2011, that we had the best wedding they attended that summer. Many of them attended a bunch in 2011. Mike was respectful of our wishes for songs and our choice of music, he was lovely and great to work with. We had everyone from 2-97 on the dance floor. Most memorable part of my wedding was the giant fun we had dancing the evening away!

Choosing DJ Mike for our wedding DJ/Master of Ceremonies was the BEST decision we made in all our wedding planning! He was so well organized and truly cared for my husband and I as people and not just customers. I was so blown away by how well he handled every aspect of the reception; he even coordinated with all the vendors to extend our reception an additional 45 minutes at no charge because our ceremony had gone long. The crowd LOVED him, and I had so many people tell me how the reception flowed so smoothly and was truly FUN! DJ Mike and his wife both love the Lord and this clearly overflows in the way they love others and want the best for each wedding. I can't wait to be the matron of honor for a wedding in July that he will be DJ-ing, because I know it will go off without a hitch thanks to him!
