Sound Waves kept everything running beautifully

Can't say enough good things about this husband and wife duo. Courtney and Jason helped to make our whole wedding run smoothly from the ceremony to the reception. If there were any hiccups, I didn't see them as Courtney was on the ball the entire time. I never had to worry and could simply enjoy my night. Jason got all my guests on the dance floor and they helped make the entire night a dream come true. Thank you for everything and I hope everyone reading strongly considers booking them!

August Wedding 2021

Courtney and Jason are AMAZING. We met with Courtney at her venue where she explained all the different packages they offer. We hired Jason as our DJ and Courtney as the coordinator. They blew our expectations away. When we had to reschedule due to COVID, Courtney reached out to all my vendors. Leading up to the wedding, Courtney stayed in contact with me, kept all vendors in the loop, and was super organized. Come to the day of the wedding, Courtney and Jason got to the venue at 9AM. They toured the venue with one of the owners, Gerry, so they understood how the lights, sound, etc worked. Courtney checked up on me the whole day, making sure I was okay and everything was going as planned. She even helped me set up some of the favors and table decor. During the ceremony, she made sure everyone walked down the aisle at the right time. After the ceremony, she had a drink waiting for us until we made our grand entrance. She did all the introductions, announcements, and everyone loved her. She announced the gift table, favors, bar, table cards, etc. This made it easy for guests to locate everything and made everything run smooth. While Jason was doing the music, Courtney even got on the dance floor with us. Everyone had such a great time. So many guests said how awesome Courtney was and how good the music was. We had guests dancing the whole night. Courtney made the day so easy and stress free. I am so glad we hired Courtney and Jason.

The best ever

Courtney and Jason are, simply put, perfect. Courtney helped us capture our wedding day goals and vision, and Jason played the perfect playlist! At one point during the day, my husband turned to me and said, in regards to Courtney "she is worth her weight in gold" and I couldn't agree more! She was professional, understanding, and efficient. I had so many people tell me I "had you get a planner" but I was very hesitant to spend the money. I have been proven wrong. I could go on, but if you are looking for a sign to pick them, this is it.

So thankful!

Sound Waves DJ Entertainment and Coordination made our wedding so much fun and such a breeze. Courtney and Jason are an incredible team. Jason did such a great job with our music; he used our suggestions and created a playlist that represented us but was also full of surprises. He even helped us even pull off a surprise song during the mother-son dance. Courtney was a dream to work with and handled WAY more than I ever anticipated her to do. She took all the stress from us and allowed us to enjoy each moment of the wedding process. I am so thankful for this team of amazing people.

WONDERFUL Event Coordination & DJ Services!

Our wedding was on June 12, 2021 at Vista Creek. We certainly hit the jackpot with choosing Sound Waves DJ Entertainment for our event coordination & DJ services. Courtney and Jason are such a dynamic duo! They are truly committed to making your wedding day the best day ever.

From the beginning to the end of the planning process, Courtney was thorough and well-organized. She helped make planning a wedding during a pandemic stress free! Courtney’s day-of coordination was so professional. It felt good knowing she was by my side throughout the entire day!! Jason did a tremendous job with the music for the ceremony and reception. There was a perfect variety of music to keep our guests on the dance floor and enjoy our big day.

We are so thankful for Courtney and Jason, not only are they are such a wonderful couple, their services are exceptional!! We highly recommend them!

Amazing experience!

I can't tell you how many people complimented the coordinating and DJ services. I was blown away and speechless with their organization and how smooth the day went. They went above and beyond our expectations and were right on cue. Courtney made the planning process so stress free, especially trying to plan during a pandemic. She always had the best advice and truly cares so much about making your day perfect. They provided my services for my on the beach ceremony, the reception music, emcee services and coordinating. The coordinator/DJ will make or break your big day and believe me you will NOT be disappointed with this duo.

Nothing short of perfect!

Chris Rao was everything we could have asked for in a DJ! He worked with us every step of the way and made sure our wedding included all of our favorite songs. He did a great job setting the appropriate pace throughout the evening. We would highly recommend him!

Awesome DJ and Easy to Pick Songs!

I had my wedding at Vista Creek, and it was very convenient and easy to decide to use Soundwaves DJ for our music and coordinating since everything was in one place. Jason and Courtney are super sweet and very organized to help make your day a breeze and dream come true. I wanted to use a personal friend for our ceremony music but ended up having a (very) last minute hiccup so Courtney and Jason were literally AMAZING and made the whole experience seamless. They set up speakers and music for our ceremony (and cocktail hour) without much guidance from me and it was beyond perfect!! Picking songs and making playlists was really easy with the program they use. Their service was prompt, reliable, fun and affordable. Highly recommend this great duo!!

Best experience ever!

We enjoyed working with Courtney and Jason so much. They are such a considerate sweet couple who really cares about their clients preferences. No stress, only fun!

Book them for your wedding coordination asap! They are seriously the best!

Throughout the months and days leading up to our wedding to the Big Day itself, Courtney and Jason were so great! Courtney helped me throughout the wedding planning process making sure there were no loose ends when our wedding day arrived. She was able to recommend vendors and make suggestions to help make our day stress-free. Not only is she super organized and professional but she is super sweet and you can tell she and Jason truly want you to have the best experience - and they did just that! I can honestly say that I was not stressed for a moment on our wedding day. Courtney and Jason communicated with all of the vendors and made me and my entire wedding party feel so pampered and special. I did not have to worry about any of the logistics (meeting vendors, counting centerpieces, telling who to go where, making sure the cake knife was in place... and the list goes on an on). I was able to spend the day with my family and friends and enjoy every moment celebrating the best day of my life with my husband.

Professional & Fun!

Jason and Courtney were so professional and kind while using their services. They were prompt with responses, had a high quality online DJ option for me to go in and select my music if I wanted. They allowed me as much control as I wanted and the help and advice when I needed. I never thought twice about anything going wrong with the equipment and had no issues in trusting them with such a vital part of my husband and I's wedding day. They brought life to even the most non-party people I invited throughout my reception. I highly recommend them!!!

Sound Waves

Sound Waves was amazing! Our wedding was smaller (65ish people) but everyone was up dancing/singing and having a blast. Jason played everything I had requested and even did the music for our ceremony which was perfect. Not only that but when we booked sound waves we did a bundle where we got Courtney too! She made our day flow so perfectly and I honestly would have been lost without her. 10/10 would recommend. Great value and great people.

Best people ever!

If you don’t hire Jason and Courtney you are seriously missing out!! We had a destination wedding and that in itself it super stressful but having Sound Waves in our back pocket was the best decision. They are super easy to talk to, answered all our questions promptly, and made the day absolutely perfect-plus they are a blast and a half :) Our guests could not stop raving about how much fun they had and how great Courtney and Jason were. The perfect day (brought to you by Courtney & Jason)

When we first met with Courtney and Jason, we felt like we'd been long-time friends and we knew immediately we wanted them to be a part of our wedding. Hiring them as our DJ and planner was probably among the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process.

I am an incredibly organized person and have a professional event planning background, but still felt a little over my head when figuring out the details of our wedding. Courtney takes it to a whole other level - she is so buttoned up, detail oriented beyond measure, professional, timely and responsive, and incredibly kind hearted and a genuinely fun person to be around. Before the wedding day, we had every detail and the timeline planned out and I felt comfortable that she knew what we wanted. On wedding day I never felt stressed or flustered, Courtney either already had it covered or when she asked me a question, I felt comfortable deferring to her to just take care of it. It really was the perfect day and flowed flawlessly.

The music was awesome and even though it was pretty hot on our wedding day, Jason had people on the dance floor the entire evening. I even had to tell my mother in law that she wasn't allowed to start dancing until everyone finished their dinner, but she was ready because the music was so good. We even had multiple guests after the day tell us how great the music was even before the ceremony started.

Courtney and Jason are an amazing team who and truly care about their clients. We cannot thank them enough for all they did to make our special day perfect!

Best Vendor Decision I made

Courtney made my wedding process as perfect as it could be. She was an amazing leader during the event itself (herding all of the cats for me), word of wisdom when I needed it, provided amazing organization and documentation to add into my planning, and was able to make other great vendor recommendations for me. She is a shining light and I can't recommend her enough. Jason was also awesome - played great tunes, the gig builder feature to add must have songs was easy and exciting to be able to have that much say in the songs for our special day and their partnership together with music and announcement flowed so well. Courtney and Jason even spent extra hours working on an adjusted version of our wedding party entrance song so it dropped at just the right time (which they SO did not have to do, but we appreciated the extra touch). They even didn't bat an eye at all our crazy friends (and me and the groom!) who were in the pool by the end of our wedding. BOOK COURTNEY & JASON and you won't regret it!

Stress free wedding

We used Courtney and Jason as our wedding DJ, emcee, and day of coordinator. They also owned the venue we chose, which really helped make our special day run smoothly. They were great about watching the crowd and changing the music styles to see what the group responded to. Our guests were slow to get dancing, but with Courtney and Jason working their magic nobody left the dance floor for the rest of the night. Although Courtney was our day of coordinator, she worked with us well before the actual wedding day. She made sure everything would be organized and perfect by creating a timeline with us and helping us troubleshoot any problems. Not only did Courtney lead all the group dances to get the party going, she also took care of so many details including making sure all of our vendors were on the same page. Even as the bride, I was completely stress free the day of the wedding because of her. We know that behind the scenes our day was probably not perfect, but Courtney took care of everything so that we did not even notice a single flaw during our entire day. Our day turned out so much more perfect than we could ever have imagined, and a huge reason for that was Courtney and Jason! We can’t recommend them enough!

Best there is

When my husband and I first went to Vista Creek it was still under construction. After meeting Courtney I knew this was where I was going to get married. Courtney and Jason truly made my wedding perfect. I knew because I had Courtney in my corner I never had to stress. With every question and every concern I was met with the most calming and positive attitude from Courtney. I wanted to do a "surprise" dance with my brother where we started off with a slow song and went into a fun song and Jason pulled it off perfect it definitely was the highlight of all the dances. I can't say enough how amazing Courtney and Jason are and how perfect Vista Creek and Sound Waves DJ is!

Perfect Pair

Courtney & Jason were the complete package. From the first meeting with them to our wedding day they were there to answer questions & provide suggestions, when needed. Jason was the perfect DJ, and kept the crowd dancing all evening. They were able to set up speakers to provide music for our ceremony as well. Courtney was the perfect addition to our wedding day. She was constantly assessing our needs and helped me throughout the night whether she was bustling my dress, or running to get my “comfy” shoes for me to change into during the reception. We are so thankful for this couple & would highly recommend their service to other couples looking for a DJ/Coordinator.

Courtney and Jason were amazing for our destination wedding in the OBX. Jason as our DJ and Courtney as the MC and our day of coordinator, things could not have gone better. From the moment we made our trip to Nags Head to check out the venue and meet Jason and Courtney in person, we knew we chose the right pair for our wedding. Courtney was a huge help for the better part of a year help nail down all the details for our wedding, provide advice, help with our day of agenda, and everything in between. She was a HUGE help on our wedding day so my bride was not stressing out. Thanks again for everything you guys did for us. It went better than we could have ever imagined.

Courtney and Jason are the absolute best! They are so easy to work with during all the planning stages and helped me organize everything so the event went flawlessly. Courtney and Jason were great to work with. Courtney has a great system to keep you organized and to help make your day run smoothly. They were quick in their correspondence and flexible in scheduling meetings. We were able to seat down and plan the entire timeline and songs list, making things easy the day of. They have a unique online site allowing you to pick our music and make sure our favorite songs are played. They are both a lot of fun and help keep guests engaged and having fun. Courtney is a great MC for the event and keeps things moving along so you don't have to worry about a thing. They were wonderful in helping incorporate all the little touches we wanted. Everyone had a great time and raved about the music and D.J. We highly recommend them for any event!

I could not have hired a more professional and perfect DJ duo for our wedding! From the beginning, Courtney and Jason were on top of it. We live in WA state and they took time to Skype us so that we could have a formal “meeting” to get to know one another. They really do care about each couple’s personality and how they can personalize each event. We paid extra to have Courtney as our Day Of Coordinator…..WORTH EVERY PENNY! I would not have wanted any other DOC besides Courtney. She knows how an event and party should flow and she worked right alongside with me throughout the wedding planning process to make sure the day went seamless and perfect. And it did, it went perfect, nothing went wrong. Everyone had a blast at our wedding and there was always someone on the dancefloor, they know how to keep the party going! Sound Waves DJ Entertainment was one of the best decisions we made during wedding planning. Professional, prompt with communication and impressive!

Courtney and Jason are one of a kind. They are extraordinary, and even say that doesn't do them justice. They went above and beyond from day one. They made sure we were constantly in the know with things, coordinated everything from vendor arrival to minute by minute of the ceremony and reception. We were the couple who did NOT fill out our entire gig builder and instead asked Jason to use creative freedom and to follow the crowd. He did amazing for our reception, allowed a few song requests and also cleared any that were questionable choices before playing them for everyone. Jason also did our ceremony music and worked with his wife courtney for a beautiful transition between the procession and the bridal entrance song we had chosen. We had a beautiful day and Jason paired our music wonderfully.

When planning a wedding, Soundwaves DJ Entertainment should be one of your first calls! The services they provide are priceless. Courtney and Jason are first class all the way! We used them for coordinating services as well as DJ services. Courtney was with us throughout the planning process. Her guidance made planning the wedding a pleasure! The day of was completely free of worry.... we knew Jason and Courtney had everything under control. The DJ service made the day complete, from ceremony music to dance music! I wish that there were a way for you, the reader, to feel how we we feel about Courtney and Jason of Sound Waves DJ Entertainment. They were BEYOND a pleasure to work with. Our wedding was on March 31st and we booked them for day-of coordination, and that is the single best decision we made regarding our wedding.. aside from the decision to marry each other. Honestly, Courtney and Jason feel like family. They are two of the nicest, most generous, and professional people you'll ever had the chance of meeting. Every single detail was covered, and our wedding day was PERFECT because of Courtney and Jason. They are a dynamic team and will leave you feeling completely at ease with your perfect day. To give you a minor example of the level of perfectionism... I never had to visit the bar ONCE. Courtney had my cup full of whatever I needed throughout the night. Yes, this may seem minor, but that's the point - Courtney was aware of EVERYTHING - EVEN the small details like my drink level. This review will never be able to convey how absolutely happy we are with their services or how we feel about them as people. They deserve way more than a five-star rating. If you book with Sound Waves DJ Entertainment, you are booking with THE BEST. You will feel like royalty.

Courtney and Jason were invaluable in making our wedding day the best it could possible be! From the very first time we met to go over everything they would be doing for us, we fell in love with this incredible team. They even knew our venue, The Signature at West Neck, and the right people to work with onsite from the beginning. Every question I had they got back with me within 24 hours no matter what day it was, and trust me I had a lot of questions. We were able to get a multitude of services from the couple including but not limited to event coordination, reception and ceremony DJ services, and extra lighting for our event. Their prices are much lower than many others that we looked at and the value that we received was incredible. Together, I could not have asked for a better team to bring our special day to life. Look no further, this is the best team around! Thank you for making our dreams come true!

I am so glad that I chose DJ sound waves to do my wedding! They did everything so perfectly, everything went smoothly! And most importantly, everyone had a blast on the dance floor! The lighting was perfect! Such a great couple to work with! Courtney surely makes you feel like you've known her for years and are super comfortable with her! They both made me so relaxed the day of my wedding! I knew the ceremony and reception was in wonderful hands and didn't have to stress one bit! I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone planning a wedding!

Courtney and Jason were amazing. Very responsive and accommodating. They made the process so easy, and I appreciate the ability to choose my music. The timeline that Courtney provided helped me help make sure everyone knew what to do and when, making the wedding day so smooth. My guests complimented the music, and said Courtney was peppy and nice, but made sure people knew what to do by the occasional announcements. The husband and wife team definitely made things easier and more fun!

Simply amazing. Jason and courtney did an amazing job for my wedding. They added all cultural songs I wanted and played then at the right time. Easy to work with. My family loved how flexible and involved courtney was with the whole process. She taught them new dance moves and it was a great blend. Everyone had a blast and the music was on point. Not to mentioned they travelled 2+ hours one way for my special day. Thank you for everything. I would recommend them to anyone.

Jason & Courtney were fantastic! They really helped to make our day amazing! I would absolutely recommend their services to anyone searching for a wedding DJ and/or day-of coordinator. We used their "early arrival" package for Courtney's day of coordination services and I can honestly say my wedding day was one of the most relaxing days I have ever had. I didn't spend my day running around or checking things. I got ready with my girls at a leisurely pace, and when it was time, I went downstairs and got married! Everyone has told me what a fantastic time they had at our wedding. We all danced and partied all night and there was never a dull moment!

Jason and Courtney are the perfect duo when planning your wedding! At first wasn't going to hire a coordinator, but I don't think I could have survived without Courtney there for our rehearsal and wedding. They both were so responsive to emails and concerns. They were prompt each time we spoke and made sure that all aspects of our wedding were exactly how we wanted them. Our wedding day was beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of and it definitely wasn't possible without them there! Thank you two SO much!! :)

We used Jason and Courtney for our music and Day of Coordinator for our Beach House wedding this past March. They were wonderful to work with and made everything so easy. Courtney and Jason kept in touch with emails and phone calls thru out the entire planning process. We got to chose all our own music by loading our choices into a program online so we were sure to get the songs we loved. On the day of our wedding, Courtney took care of dealing with all our vendors and we didn't have to worry about anything. The music and added lighting was great at our Beach House Venue. We would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a DJ/and or Coordinator.

I have to give Jason and Courtney credit - I'm not sure they knew what they were getting into when we hired them last year! But they were absolute champs throughout the entire process!!! Our ceremony was planned to be outdoors, but about two weeks prior to our wedding, the forecast for our ceremony was nothing but rain!

Even up to the moment of the wedding, Courtney made it so easy to keep in touch - always responding within 24 hours to any minute ideas/concerns I had, up to ensuring whether the wedding was going to be inside or outside! The reason this affected them, even though they didn't do our ceremony music, was because we would've had to move inside and it would've impacted the entire reception as well.

Courtney and Jason did not bat an eye! They were helpful, wonderful, and so willing to work with us. We could not be more grateful!!!

I highly recommend them - during the reception, Jason did a great job of feeling out our guests for music they were enjoying, and tailored the music to that. Courtney kept in contact with my husband and I, explaining when they were doing things. However, when she did this, she took great care to not be overbearing about it. It was an awesome peace of mind!

Jason and Courtney did an absolute amazing job at my early October wedding! 2 days before my wedding we were forced to move the reception venue because of the hurricane and they were completely flexible and made me feel at ease the day of. I would highly recommend these two to anyone looking for a DJ of any sort! They played ALL of the music requested and made our wedding night unbelievable!

Jason and Courtney served as the DJ's for my daughter's wedding. They were amazing! Courtney helped coordinate everything the day of the event to ensure that every little part of the ceremony and reception went as planned. The two of them together were flawless in every detail and I have never been to a wedding reception as fun as that one. They provided a dance environment with an energy that captivated the entire crowd, young and old. The dance floor was crowded at all times from small children to the senior citizens in the group and everyone in between. I can never thank them enough for helping to make my daughter's wedding so special!

Courtney and Jason are PHENOMENAL! Truly, they were incredibly helpful and flexible; I am an out-of-state bride with an incredibly busy schedule, and they were there to meet me and help every step of the way. I was lucky enough to see this couple DJ a wedding I went to, and I knew I had to have them for my own wedding. They are PERFECT! Jason played all the music I asked for, and read my group well and played everything that kept everyone on the dance floor. Courtney has the cutest personality, and was out helping us all with our dance moves, and kept everything running smoothly. I can't say enough wonderful things about them, because they far exceeded my expectations, and were by far the best decision I made for my wedding! Meet with them one time on your search for your DJ and you will KNOW they are the right choice!

Jason and Courtney are excellent!!! They are fun to work with and they gave us lots of helpful ideas for my daughter's wedding reception. They are extremely organized and pay close attention to every detail. Courtney was great leading group dances and making annoucements throughout the reception. Sound waves employs multiple DJ's and we were lucky enough to have Craig that night. Craig was super helpful the day of our wedding which can obviously be stressful. He was self-sufficient and did not require much from us while we were finishing last minute prep. We had our wedding on a farm and Craig found no problem with DJing out of our corn crib. On his own, he decided to set-up a wireless speaker in the barn where the dinner was being held which was incredibly helpful and contributed to the atmosphere. Craig honored our EXTENSIVE play and do not play list, which I am sure we made challenging. However, he absolutely nailed the music and atmosphere we were looking for on our day. The best part of the experience was that Craig did a great job of blending into the event and making sure the attention of our guests was on us and having a good time. I would highly recommend soundwaves for their excellent service and reasonable pricing. If we did it all over again, we would make sure Craig was DJing.

Jason and Courtney were great from our first meeting all the way until the end of the wedding. I really felt like I didn't have to worry about how the reception would flow because they were on top of it. The worked hard to make sure it was the experience that I wanted have at my wedding. Awesome people to work with! I gave them ideas of what genres I wanted to hear and they provided exactly what I was looking for. I also did my up lighting through them and it turned out beautiful. Really set the scene. Kept people on the dance floor all night! Would definitely recommend them!!

These two were so very professional and accommodating. We change things a couple of times before the event and they were so nice and easy to talk to and get just what we wanted. At the event they were right on time with what we wanted and the rest of the time stayed out of the way. They took several requests and made everyone feel welcome to approach them. They got everyone on the dance floor and laughing. I would highly recommend them for any type of event!!!

Highly recommended! Jason and Courtney were friendly, thorough and professional! After the initial meeting, I felt confident that they had everything under control - they arrived on-time (even a little early). They played a mix of music I suggested and some that they knew were sure-fire crowd pleasers. Guests were encouraged to participate without being annoyed. I also used their lighting service which absolutely transformed the reception area - get the lights! Their fees were fair and competitive. Thanks again, Jason and Courtney!

Jason and Courtney were the greatest. From the very beginning they were dedicated to making our wedding a day to remember. Their attention to detail was flawless and they worked with us to insure that we would be happy. I can not say enough about this couple and their DJ services!! They work so well together and are the nicest, sweetest, fun people ever. We emailed back and forth a lot, as well as met up on more than one occasion. We bounced song ideas back and forth, and they helped plan a timeline for us, as well as suggest dances, games, etc. You're not just getting a DJ, but with having 2 people you're also getting a sort of coordinator as well. One person is able to man the music all night while the other is leading group dances, making announcements, gathering people in from the hallway, keeping you on schedule, and the music never has to have pauses in between. They also provide awesome lighting as well so your room can have a nice color around the walls, or it can turn into a club! These two are so energetic and honestly I can't recommend them enough. My new husband and I are trying to find an excuse to hire them again!!

Jason was an amazing DJ!!! We booked him months before our wedding and he kept in contact with us through the whole time answering any questions we had and giving us suggestions for certain songs to use at different points. We had the whole timeline worked out before the event started, and then threw him a curveball during the wedding, and changed everything up. He and his partner ran with it and made everything work out perfectly. Our wedding was wonderful and all the guests said it was the best one they had been to in a long time. The music sets the mood, and we told him what mood we wanted and he made sure everything he played flowed with it. It was a memorable night, our guests never left the dance floor, and I made memories to last forever. If we have ever have another event that we need a DJ, Jason will be my first call. His fee was very reasonable, and they dressed correctly for the event. We just want to say a big thank you! There are so many things to stress over for a wedding, especially when you have never planned one, and he made this one item we didn't have to worry about at all! Thank you Jason!!

Sound Waves DJ entertainment provided DJ and emcee services for my wedding in August 2012. They were professional, responsive, played the type of music we requested, and made sure everyone had a great time at the reception. I would highly reccomend them to anyone hosting an event requiring a DJ, and I would use them in the future if I ever had need of a DJ again. Thanks again for doing such a great job!

throughout the entire process, including the inital e-mail, they were very quick to respond and answered questions before i even asked... during th e planning process while i had a million things going on e mails and phone calls were very helpful in the run down of the event... day of they were not on time.... they were early!!!!
