Scott was super helpful in the planning stages including timeline of wedding and special dances. He kept the party going and everyone was on the dance floor all night. He played great music for all ages. He read the crowd very well. The lighting was amazing. There were lots of compliments throughout the night on how good the DJ was. We had a torrential downpour during the wedding and they kept on playing while holding up the tarps for shelter!
Scott also did our photo booth, which was loved by all. Each person received a photo and there was an additional photo printed that was put in our photo album with a message, so that we had a copy of all the pictures. Such a great idea!
I highly recommend Scott for any occasion. -

We wholeheartedly recommend Sound Selection for your upcoming event. Scott was extremely helpful right from the start. He was very thorough (but not overbearing) throughout the entire planning process. Going into the wedding, we felt confident that he understood what we wanted and he absolutely delivered day of. People were enjoying themselves on the dance floor all night. We are still getting compliments from our guests about how great Scott and his team were. -

Scott is absolutely a JOY to work with! His response time is impeccable and his answers to any questions you might have are thorough. His process of having planned meetings every couple months or so makes the process go so smoothly and allows for a personalized experience. He is so professional yet approachable and is very flexible as well as open-minded when it comes to music choice. He works very hard to fit the needs of your event and double-checks details you might not even think of yourself. He takes a very pro-active approach, which is so helpful in planning a wedding. I felt like I really did not have to worry too much about the music since he had everything taken care of! He is trustworthy and honest about what works at a wedding, based on his vast experience. I had multiple people at the wedding ask me about him and I was more than happy to share his information. My husband and I both felt very at peace working with him. It was such a relief to work with someone so cooperative. We cannot recommend him enough! We will be looking to hire him in the future, for sure, if we have any other special events happening. -

We truly cannot say enough amazing things about Sound Selection and Scott Briggs & Team! If you are getting married in New York and are looking for your wedding DJ, I promise you will not find a better option than Scott Briggs/Sound Selection. Scott & team are truly the best and I am SO thankful I found them for our wedding. My husband and I got married at the Otesaga Resort in Cooperstown, NY on May 20th and we chose Sound Selection for for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception music, as well as uplighting & our photo booth. Everything was absolutely perfect and seamless - there were no hiccups or issues the entire evening and I had complete trust in Scott the whole time. People were on the dancefloor the entire night, and multiple people specifically told us our DJ was awesome!
Scott is more than a wedding DJ - he literally helped us plan our wedding. We received helpful emails every month leading up to our wedding the whole year prior with tips and helpful reminders on what we should be doing and planning at that stage in the process. We also had 3 virtual meetings (we live in North Carolina) leading up to the wedding where we went over all details, asked questions, built ceremony and reception timelines, and made sure we were on the same page for everything. Scott was such a pleasure to work with - fun to talk to, extremely organized, and experienced.
In addition to the music being perfect all evening, the photo booth was also a huge hit. We did a "glam booth" style photo booth- all black and white photos, no props, and a filter on it to make everyone look really good. It was exactly what I was envisioning and people loved it! The photo booth attendant was super nice and very helpful as well. The whole team (Scott and 2 assistants) was always so friendly, and happy to help in any way - there was a moment where we needed some extra batteries mid reception for something completely unrelated and Scott immediately handed over a pack of batteries for us which was amazing!
We are beyond thankful we found & chose Scott Briggs/Sound Selection for our wedding, and highly recommend them. Scott is so organized, so talented, and such a pleasure to work with. Cannot thank them enough for helping to make our day so perfect!! -

Hands down, one of the best decision you will ever make. From ceremony, cocktail hour, and all the way through to the last song. There isn't a detail that Scott doesn't think about. He innovative, and open and flexible to individualizing his role at your event. He guides and reads the crowd to make sure it is as much fun for them as it is for you. Scott MAY even have more fun then you at your own wedding!! From the very beginning, he wants to understand your vision, and does everything to pull it off better then what you had imagined. Between the meetings, and the emails, and phone calls, he and his team will undeniably take care of every detail with grace, class and professionalism. Like others have said he is way more then just a DJ.

I cannot describe how happy I am with Scott. From the very first meeting we had he came up with such great ideas to make my wedding unique and fun. He was so easy to get ahold of and communicate with. I’m Romanian and he went out of his way to get Romanian songs to play at the wedding. The lighting was superb, the first dance on a cloud was so romantic, the photo booth was such a hit, the music selection was just amazing, the monogram was even better in person than I ever imagined. All of my guests left the wedding wanting more which was our goal. I highly recommend him to be your DJ! -

First off, no need to check out other DJ’s, Scott and his team are perfect to work with and will help/guide you through every step. Whether you have no clue what you’re doing or are extremely picky hands down Sound Seection is your choice. From cutting songs, personalized monograms, lighting, the photo booth and personalized magnets, his planning portal, monthly calendars, etc etc etc. Basically all I’m saying is you can’t go wrong with him. An easy choice to hire. -

Best DJ services around. Scott was a huge part in making my wedding absolutely perfect. very professional and super helpful in planning the big day. He was able to really personalized our wedding to fit us perfectly. Made the whole day go smoothly. I would highly recommend Scott and his team. The photo booth was a huge hit with all my guest and myself, the guest book made an amazing keepsake. -

My wife Mallory and I had an amazing experience with Scott and his team! Having to plan a wedding in a pandemic was difficult in itself but they make it so much less stressful and they're very easy to work with. We were beyond pleased with the services they provided and from a planning standpoint Scott adding many things in our wedding that we would've never thought of to make it a day we will never forget!! Thank you guys again for making our day the best it could be, I strongly advise anyone planing a party or wedding to go with these guys!! They not only get the party buzzing but add all the necessary touches to elevate you event from average to something that just blows your mind 🤯 -

Scott Briggs is the single most skilled, professional, and organized wedding DJ out there- I can not recommend him and his staff enough!
He was such a hit we had many guests ask us during and after the wedding for his information because they wanted him at their weddings also! One of my friends has already hired him for their wedding in May!!
Scott was such a huge help throughout the entire process of wedding planning. Sometimes it felt like he was single-handedly keeping us sane with his advice and checklists. He is NOT just a DJ, he did an amazing job with sound so that everyone heard our outdoor ceremony and the speeches at the reception, and he also provides venue lighting that really transformed our venue into a beautiful space- and quite a party!!
Scott reaches out to your other vendors and the individuals who will offer toasts at your reception to keep everyone on the same page and offer speech/toast tips and support.
I am 100% sure that our wedding would not have been such a success if we had not hired Scott Briggs and Sound Selection DJ and Entertainment.
Also- I highly recommend going for a package with the photobooth! It was a blast and you get a physical and digital copy of all the pictures.

Scott was our DJ for our wedding in early June and did a PHENOMENAL job. Right from the start his organizational skills, attention to detail, and focus on our needs was impeccable. He put our minds at ease by being so on top of everything. He created our timeline, checked in throughout the planning process, and provided an online portal that made it so easy to add songs we wanted to request and schedule all of the songs we wanted played for our ceremony and reception. Throughout our day he was there for us every step of the way, checking in with us on timing and making sure everything was going according to plan. He sent tips to our family and friends who were giving speeches, and reached out with tips and advice throughout the planning process. Our venue did not provide any sort of wedding planner nor staff, but Scott made everything truly go so smoothly for us that we didn't worry for even a second. He got there to set up early, both for our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, did a perfect job with all of the ceremony songs, and played the exact type of music we wanted through cocktail hour and our reception. His uplighting worked extremely well for our darker venue, and really made the stone walls pop and gave the entire reception space a beautiful atmosphere. His mixing and flow is top notch and I did not leave the dance floor for a while! I can't recommend him enough. He is truly incredible, so professional, and offers many services that other DJs don't. Scott was ALWAYS available and easy to reach. Any time we had questions he was an email or text away and got back to us so quickly. When you're planning a wedding, quick responses like that are appreciated and we definitely appreciated Scott for that, among everything else he did for us! If you are looking for a DJ for your wedding or event, look no further. Scott should be your first and last call. -

Aimee Sent on 07/18/2018Scott was the most incredible DJ we could have asked for! He went above and beyond not only during the wedding, but also in the months leading up to the wedding. From the time we officially booked Sound Selection for our DJ and photo booth, Scott was extremely professional, helpful, and understanding about the details we wanted. He took it one (actually, many!) steps further by supplying us with general wedding advice, tips for our wedding party, and many other very useful documents. His website portal is extremely user-friendly and helped immensely when we were choosing songs and general music themes for the evening. Scott did an incredible job making the ceremony transition beautifully; no one had to question anything as the music led the way! Our guests cannot stop talking about how amazing he was at the reception. Scott went out of his way to do awesome, fun introductions for our wedding party, but a nice surprise were the introductions before the special dances! The music was absolutely perfect and people danced all night long - guests are still commenting on how much fun it was because of the music! Our guests also absolutely loved the photo booth - there was a line for it all night. The photo booth pictures were very high quality, and we were very happy to have digital copies of the gallery as well. If I could give more than 5 stars for the services provided, I would. If you are looking for a high quality, accommodating, professional DJ for a great price, Sound Selection is the way to go!

Holly Sent on 05/12/2018Scott was not only an amazing DJ but an incredible resource. I knew close to nothing about weddings. I knew there was food and music but that was it. He was really patient with me and helped me understand more of the intricacies and the routine of a typical wedding. Then I through a curveball at him. I didn't want a typical wedding. I really wanted my guests to enjoy themselves more than I did. I wanted it to be a party AND LET ME TELL YOU, Scott delivered. It's been about seven months since my wedding and people are still talking about it. We even joke that we are going to get divorced so we can do it all over again. I had the time of my life dancing away, so much so that I forgot it was my own wedding. AND THE PHOTO BOOTH WAS AWESOME. I now have a memory book of all the photos taken from that night with notes left from our family and friends. If you want people to come to your wedding and actually stay after food is served then you're best off booking Scott.
