absolutely amazing!

rob did an amazing job at our ceremony and reception. guests we able to request any song they wanted to hear. we were also able to do a “do not” playlist. everyone was up dancing the whole night. they pay attention to such detail to make sure the dance floor is never empty. i would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a DJ that will go above and beyond, to make their day that much more special.

Packed the Dance Floor

I gave Robbie a general playlist of ideas - heavily emphasized 80s/90s power ballads + some old school stuff for the older crowd + 90s highschool dance hits. Let me tell you, Sound MVMT HEARD THAT & exceeded all my wildest dance floor dreams. The dance floor was not only packed, but people were scream singing along and I thought the dance floor was going to break. Best night of my life, and my friends and family are still in awe at how fun the dance portion of the day was. I can say with certainty, this is a true testament to Sound MVMTs ability to jump right in, vibe with the guests, and read the room. THANK YOU for GETTTING IT!!!!

So much fun!!

Robbie and his crew were absolutely amazing for the whole experience! He was so easy to communicate with and handled all our requests perfectly. We were told by our venue that we had the most fun wedding that they’ve seen ever held there, which would not have been possible without Sound MVMT! We also had thee photobooth which was a huge hit! Thanks so much for everything Sound MVMT!

Robbie was awesome from start to finish! From the first time we met with him until he was leaving! Great music all night long, keeping a family that doesn’t dance on the dancing all night! I can’t say enough good things about his service!

We are so impressed with Robbie and sound MVMT ! He was our Dj for our wedding on August 18 2018. Robbie was very accommodating to perfect all our wedding wishes. He responds quickly, is flexible with making changes, and is a fun yet professional Dj. Our dance floor was full the entire night and everyone is still raving about how much fun they had ! Thank you so much Robbie for making our wedding so much fun and a memorable day for everyone !

Working with Robbie and the SoundMVMT team was an absolute dream! They were flexible, prompt, and were an absolute blast at the reception! We received countless compliments from all of our guest and I appreciated how they were able to mix both Mexican and American hits for everyone to enjoy (as we are a bi-racial couple). The dance floor was packed the entire night and we opted for additional lighting and it looked perfect. They were seamless and so easy to work with.

Robbie, Dougie Fresh and team were incredible! They played all songs we wanted, had a beautiful playlist for the cocktail hour, had a killer photo booth, and emceed the entire wedding so well! We were blown away by their professionalism, musical expertise and their love for their work! Thank you so much for helping make our wedding the best day of our lives! People are still talking about how awesome the dj was who played music the entire time!!

When it came to planning our wedding and finding vendors, Sound MVMT was one of the first I checked with to confirm their availability. Having gone to plenty of weddings with different DJ's, I have learned just how crucial the role is in setting the tone of your wedding. Sound MVMT brings a level of comfortability and professionalism to their weddings and its atmospheres that I haven't witnessed from other DJ's and emcee's. In planning the day ahead of time, Robbie was flexible and patient in working with us making sure we got everything we wanted and needed without adding any stress or pressure to the process. I was able to communicate with him about some details day before and even day off and it was no problem at all. Even when the timeline for our reception got pushed back quite a bit day of, He made sure to not rush into anything before my wife and I were ready to allowing us to not miss a moment of our wedding. At the end of the day, Sound MVMT knows how to get people on a dance floor in every way and create moments that our friends and family will remember for the rest of our lives.

Robbie and his staff were wonderful to work with. During the planning stage, he made sure every song choice, lighting requests, questions and concerns were addressed and covered. He also offered creative suggestions / solutions to logistical issues that came up on my end. He kept in constant touch throughout, he was responsive and accommodating when I did reach out. The day of the party he was prompt and prepared. There was no delay in setup and everyone he brought in was professional in their approach. It was evident their focus for the next few hours was to present an amazing experience for my daughter's Sweet Sixteen party. They did not disappoint. Robbie clearly had the pulse of the crowd, as the music was current and his contagious energy spilled over onto the dance floor where people barely left. Guests offered nothing but compliments about the DJ, I couldn't have agreed more. My favorite however came from the Hotel's Event Coordinator who's overseen other events and said she felt like she was at a Vegas nightclub. I would wholeheartedly recommend Robbie to anyone considering a DJ.

We loved our experience with Sound MVMT! They were so much fun and definitely brought the party to our wedding! We are so happy we chose them for our wedding. Sound MVMT was really great. They were the most responsive of all our vendors. We had them do the sound for the ceremony and the reception. They played everything on our 'must-play' list and I felt they played everything at the 'right time' to match the demographics of the room. We were really surprised at how packed they were able to keep the dance floor. They had this really nice cover for their DJ table that hid all the cords and equipment. We'd definitely recommend!

Robbie and the team out Sound MVMT were an incredible part to our wedding day. They were professional and very high quality, and even had everyone in the room dancing even the youngest and oldest which doesn't happen at most weddings! They're simply the best in the business, don't hesitate to book them for your next event!

I highly recommend Sound MVMT if you're looking for a DJ/MC for your wedding or event. If you are thinking of just creating a playlist yourself, DON'T!!! Sound MVMT have the ability to gauge the atmosphere of the crowd, and know how to respond. They knew when to keep the energy high, and when to slow it down to give people a break. They used the songs we requested to be played as a guideline for their other song choices and played a great mix of oldies and current music.

Through the consultation process, they listened to what my wife and I wanted and offered helpful suggestions when we were unsure. Robbie was very patient with us and his knowledge of weddings was invaluable to us.

I believe there's 2 things to consider before hiring Sound MVMT and its not whether they will play great music or not (because they will). First, It's having an MC to control the night. This is not something you want your crazy uncle to do. Second, it's having someone who knows how to gauge the crowds needs and respond to that. And thirdly, (for free) they have the ability to help you plan the activities of your event and consult with your timeline.

I recommend Sound MVMT, these guys know weddings and events.

Sound MVMT went above and beyond for our wedding and reception! From day one, Robbie listened to our every need/concern with care. Everyone raved about the sound at our wedding ( we had live singers) and the great music that was played at our reception. Robbie does an excellent job of paying attention to how many people are on the dance floor, and he will smoothly change the song if people aren't dancing.... many DJ's don't do this! Robbie sent me a detailed timeline with the flow of our reception and then met with me once I got to the reception hall on my wedding day to go over everything. I couldn't have picked a better DJ and would hire Robbie again in a SECOND!

In the weeks following our wedding, our friends and family have not stopped talking about the amazing time they had at our wedding. My husband and I truly believe it's all largely due to the job Sound MVMT did at our reception. Both Robbie and his assistant were incredible. The uplighting was beautiful and really helped set the tone for the occasion. The music and energy were perfect. And the guys really helped the night run on track and as smoothly as could be. While they were working hard, they also seemed to be enjoying themselves - which in my opinion is so important! We couldn't have booked a better DJ for our wedding.

I should also note how helpful Sound MVMT was in the days and months leading up to our wedding. Robbie was always quick to respond by email and ready to make himself available to meet and talk about the day. He was able to help me create a timeline for the day and night which was extremely helpful in the end.

Bottom line - I would recommend Sound MVMT to any bride or groom looking for a DJ!

This DJ was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. As a mixed couple (Mexican and American) and bachata loving people, we knew this company would be the one for us. We had danced to this DJ at a couple of other events previous to our wedding and we loved the mix of music.
Once we decided to book him, he provided a list of songs we would need for our ceremony and reception (so we wouldn't forget any, how great is that?!). He kept the party going until the reception venue basically quicker us out! Hehe. It was so much fun dancing to the songs we loved. He was so easy to work with through the entire process. He understood the vibe we wanted our wedding to have (a good mixture of contemporary, classics, a couple of group dances, and definitely some latino music!)

He asked for a list of "do play" and "Do NOT play". One of the songs on the "DO NOT play" was the Cha cha slide (don't hate). All of my little nieces and nephews kept asking him to play it, but he resisted. The little kids wanted it to bad that they even approached me and asked why they wouldn't play it! hehehe I felt bad, but I really don't like that song, so I suggested we play a different one (not like they really cared, they could dance to anything).

Overall, it was a really fun night thanks to them! They were so good that my two best friends (maids of honor) booked him as well for their weddings!!

Robbie was great to work with. He even offered to drive all the way to Indiana to meet me! We loved his song selections. He really tailored it to the crowd and everyone had a blast dancing til they shut the party down. He was also a great mc, running things flexibly and smoothly. Highly recommend!! Thanks Robbie!

Robbie and his team did an absolute, awesome job at our wedding. He kept me and my new husband on track for all the events that we wanted to take place that evening. It can get pretty hectic and we definitely would lose track of time! But Robbie made sure to keep us on track. He was so fun with the crowd, outgoing and energetic! Sound MVMT did a great job providing music for our ceremony and reception! Very easy to work with, professional, helpful and able to make song recommendations, and fun. We had Sound MVMT DJ our wedding and it was the BEST decision ever. They helped move our reception along seamlessly and provided the perfect ambience & music. When we spoke with Sound MVMT leading up to the wedding, we made sure to specifically name what we generally love and hate, and we threw out some song titles we really wanted to hear. But, besides that, we told them to just play what people want to dance to! I would recommend trusting Sound MVMT's ability to select dancing music, as well, as this made our guests very happy. Our dance floor was packed until the last song BECAUSE Sound MVMT was able to read what music our unique crowd was most excited about. I've had wedding guests come up to me months later and reminisce about the dancing at our wedding. And would I recommend Sound MVMT to a friend? Already have! We've booked them for my sister's wedding and have been spreading the word! Don't get stuck with "meh" music and entertainment at your wedding.

Robbie and Sound MVMT are the absolute BEST for DJ services for any wedding or event. He made our wedding so memorable and so fun. My guests had a great time on the dance floor and I had many comments from my guests how great the DJ was. From the first time we sat down with Robbie he made everything so easy. He was so organized and made me feel at ease. When it came to the wedding day he made sure everything went smoothly and kept us right on schedule. My wedding ceremony and reception were so easy to enjoy with Robbie DJing! My husband and I felt at ease throughout the entire reception, he not only kept us on schedule throughout the night (as we were very busy greeting all of our guests and sneaking a few bites of food here and there) but he never made us feel overwhelmed or like we were running late by any means. His fun loving personality was a hit during the entire evening, he kept the part going on the dance floor and all of the guests had a huge smile on their faces throughout the night! He did a wonderful job and paying attention to our music wants and dislikes! I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for the DJ with the mostest :)

Sound MVMT helped create such special moments between myself and my bride. However those special moments went beyond us. Our guests were always entertained. The music was perfect based off of our guests. The amount of knowledge Robbie has will definitely make you feel that you are more than prepared for your day. Robbie and his crew were amazing!!! Robbie Gonzalez was our wedding DJ for the ceremony and reception - he was referred to us by a mutual friend and he EXCEEDED our expectations! He was very flexible with any changes I proposed, always enthusiastic, and very responsive by e-mail. We had about 140 guests and he kept us on the dance floor almost all night!! We have heard only good things from our guests (from 0 to 85 years) about the music selection. I sent him a long list of music as well as giving him creative freedom in case he wanted to move the dancing in another direction at any point. We heard our favorite songs as well as some surprises that were always hits with us and our guests. We an't recommend him enough!! He was very fair in his pricing, and definitely worth every penny.

If you want someone who radiates passion for what he does - this is your guy! He is professional yet his charisma and personality puts you at ease and makes this portion of the event planning stress free. Organized - he provided guidance and direction to help us get better organized as well. Punctual. Intuitive - amazing ability to read the crowd and their reactions perfectly to keep a great flow and constant entertainment. Had a great variety of music and was able to bring multiple generations onto the dance floor simultaneously.... from age 8 to age 90. Proactive in planning and organizing event - I didn't have to worry about having to hunt him down, he would reach out to me regularly to check in. Flexible with all aspects from start to finish, recognizes how important your event is and dedicates himself to implementing a unique style while staying true to your vision. Worked hard the entire event - but a smile never left his face! Equipment and lighting were displayed beautifully and photographed/video recorded very well! He sets up and tears down quickly. AMAZING!!! He really knows how to keep the party alive! He is also really good at being communicative and on top of things. He is also very personable and it makes it really easy to work with him. He really cares about your special day and will do anything to make it perfect! An amazing DJ and amazing person all around. I would definitely use him for anything I need in the future!

I don't think a lot of people realize that the DJ is responsible for running the flow of the reception and guiding the bride and groom to cut the cake, first dance, special toasts, etc. When people think of DJ, they think of who's playing the music but it's so much more. You need someone who's a people person, outgoing but able to make your brother comfortable when he's about to give a speech in front of 200 people. Someone who gets the guests excited for all portions of the event. Robbie went above and beyond any expectations I had for a DJ. He made sure all the bases were covered throughout the planning process. And when we got stuck on something, he would remind us how trivial this one little song is in the big picture of your wedding day. People may not remember the song the bride and groom walked into the reception to, but they will remember not wanting to leave the dance floor when the night is over. We had the majority of people wanting the party to continue even after the alcohol got cut off, and that's a huge thanks to Robbie and feeding off of the guests to know how to keep the party going. When your guests stay until you get told to leave (multiple times) it feels like THATS how much they love and support you. When really, maybe they just loved the music... I guess we'll never know ;).

Robbie is excellent at what he does and I would HIGHLY recommend him for any type of event. He's just a great person overall. Easy to talk to, prompt in responding to emails, trustworthy, reliable and genuinely cares for what he does. If we could rate higher than a 5/5 on here we would! We couldn't have been happier to have the opportunity for him to DJ our wedding. Having the "right" DJ is the cherry on top to the entire planning process, and most importantly your big day!

The DJ service provided to us was awesome. Robbie really knows how to work the crowd and get everyone involved. His setup and equipment is very professional. Very easy to work with and was flexible.

Sound MVMT made my special day a blast! From the fun and lively music to the entertaining and enthusiastic MC it was everything a bride could hope for. My favorite part was how involved Rob was throughout the whole process and put my nerves to rest. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and have actually recommended him to my other friends who have gotten married and it was definitely a great time!

Best DJ ever!! He made sure all of our needs were met and made our wedding the best night of our lives. All of our guests were so impressed with Robbie as our DJ. Awesome set up! He play exactly what we wanted. I would recommend Robbie to anyone for anything!

Working with Sound MVMT for our DJ needs was absolutely the right choice. Robbie was super helpful in working with us and accommodating to our needs (of which we had many). We had a few random elements we wanted incorporated into our reception and they completely jumped on board and made it happen for us. Joe was our DJ for the wedding and did a great job with the music, transitions, and flow of the night. I fully suggest Sound MVMT for your wedding. You won't be disappointed.

Robbie and his team were so great! They handled the music and entertainment all the way from our ceremony to the end of the night and they did an amazing job. Robbie was very responsive, involved and super accommodating leading up to the wedding. We also used their Photo Booth and it was such a great addition to our wedding reception. Everybody had so much fun with the costumes and dress ups they brought. I'd recommend Sound MVMT without hesitation!
