For a Fun Wedding Hire Manny!
I planned my sister’s wedding and I couldn’t have found a better DJ than Manny from Sound Illusions! From the very beginning, he was professional, organized, and incredibly easy to work with. He took the time to understand the vibe that my sister wanted for her wedding and he absolutely nailed it.
The music during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception flowed perfectly, and the dance floor was packed all night long—which says everything! He read the crowd so well and kept the energy up without ever being over-the-top. It was a small wedding (only 30 guests) and my sister was so worried that nobody would be dancing. That was not the case! So many of our guests commented on how great the music was and they were so disappointed for the night to end.
We also appreciated how smoothly Manny handled announcements and transitions throughout the evening. Everything felt effortless and fun. If you’re looking for a DJ who will help make your wedding unforgettable, we highly recommend Manny from Sound Illusions.

Manny is the Man!
Manny was incredible! From the first call, he stood out by asking about our wedding vision, not just the music. He helped build our timeline, suggested fun ideas, and stayed super communicative throughout. On the day, he brought great energy, made smooth announcements, and played all our must-plays while avoiding every “no” song (which impressed our married friends who’d had issues with their DJs).
Guests kept telling us how great he was! He showed up to our rehearsal, coordinated seamlessly with our vendors (including a harpist!), and added lighting that truly elevated the space. We couldn’t be happier that we chose him.

Manny rocked it
Manny exceeded our expectations! He was super organized before our wedding, with a google doc for us to fill out with our different playlists and music preferences, all of our different music timelines, etc. He met with us via phone call before the wedding to make sure we were all on the same page. He did an amazing job executing our musical preferences, announcing all of the fun moments throughout the night, and going along with some of our funky/crazy ideas. He even took a fun video of our night which was an amazing surprise to wake up to the morning after our wedding! Thanks Manny!

Manny the DJ was AWESOME!
We were referred to Manny from a fellow DJ who was booked for our date. It was a home run! Manny did such a great job in every aspect. The preparation, MC announcements, dance music choices, and on and on. To top it off he is a very funny, very easy person to work with. Excellent pricing too. Best wedding/ party ever
Manny was our DJ 6/21 and absolutely killed it! We wanted to have a party and make the music us, and he did just that! 2 calls prior to the big day to go over everything and we had so many guests say how good of a job he did! Highly recommend!!

Manny was absolutely phenomenal! We truly couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. From the very beginning, he went above and beyond to make the entire process seamless and enjoyable. He was incredibly communicative, kind, and made planning feel exciting! Every meeting with him left us feeling at ease and even more excited for our big day!
On the wedding day itself, Manny delivered in every way. He kept the dance floor full and so fun all night and ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish. His energy and professionalism were unmatched. We also loved having his daughter run the photo booth! She was so sweet, fun, and engaging with all our guests.

Best DJ - Can't go wrong with Manny!
Manny was the absolute best! My sister used him for her wedding 3 years ago and he delivered yet again for our wedding! We got a monogram light for the dance floor, 2 set ups (one outside and one inside for the after party), dance floor lights, and the photobooth which everyone loved! Manny was super easy to work with and tailors the music to what you and your guests want! He helped us have the best night ever!! Manny even visited the venue before hand on his own to make sure he was familiar with the layout, would definitely recommend him for your wedding!!

For the record, Sound Illusions is great!
When my partner and I got engaged, we already knew we wanted to book Manny! He was the DJ/Emcee at both my brother's wedding and my sister's wedding and did an amazing job! Working with him only solidified that! He's really good at communicating and had a lot of really good suggestions for additional games and entertainment for our guests! Our coordinators found him easy to work with as well and our day sounded as beautiful as it looked!

Great Addition to the Wedding!

The absolute best!
We cannot thank Manny enough for all he did for us and our wedding!! We’re were highly recommended Manny as soon as we got engaged in 2022 & knew we made the best decision working with him as soon as we had our first phone call. He is so happy to be a part of a couple’s wedding day and goes above and beyond making it perfect. Fast forward 2 years later to our June 22, 2024 and Manny blew us away with the music and smoothness of our day! We had a small hiccup with the start of our ceremony (not related to Manny) and he handled it so well that none of our guests even noticed the small bump in the plan. The music played matched every part or the night.. I even told him when we were dancing in our reception that he could play whatever he wanted to match the vibe and to scratch our playlist we made haha. He is so easy going and was a huge reason we loved our wedding. The guests had AMAZING things to say about his professionalism, upbeat demeanor and overall role in the night. My favorite part of the night (our private last dance) was the most intimate and special moment to end with and thankfully Manny was able to set up his tripod and film it for us without us even noticing until the very end. We now have one our most memorable moments on film just for us to enjoy over and over again. I want to host more events simply to have Manny involved and dj for us again. Top notch service! Book Manny for all of your music needs (or just to bring along and he’ll light up the night!)

Incredible wedding DJ!
Manny exceeded all of our expectations and everything we could ever want for our wedding DJ. Not only was he super attentive and on point with all of the music choices, he made sure to follow up with us in the weeks leading up to the wedding to be sure that all of the scheduling was on point, and put us at ease for the big day. Best Wedding DJ Ever!
Music was a very important aspect of our wedding so we took our time reading reviews to find the perfect DJ. Manny was THE BEST! He was very organized and responsive and made it easy for us to send him our playlists. He made sure that all the special ceremony and first dance songs were the exact versions we wanted. We ended up making our own playlists which he stuck to because he was able to keep the party going on the dance floor with the order he played the songs in. We had a small 'do not play' list and he did not play any of the songs on it which was very appreciated. The sound equipment and lighting he provided was perfect (he provided some lighting for a flower arch we had which really made it stand out at night) and he did a great job MCing/making announcements to keep things moving during the reception. There are so many things to be stressed about when planning your wedding, but music will not be one of them if you choose Manny!

Manny was the best DJ ever for our wedding a few weeks ago. From the initial conversation we had, he was kind and really bubbly which we loved. Leading up to the wedding we had several meetings to go over songs and make sure he got the timing just right. He was easily reachable by call or text and was so kind every time. Everything was perfect. He even played games with guests during dinner which lightened up the mood. The music was so good for dancing even the vendors commented on it! Manny also recorded several moments throughout the ceremony and reception which was amazing because we didn’t have a videographer. The best DJ ever!
My fiancé and I found Sound Illusions through a referral from our photographer. Who doesn’t love a referral from another team who has seen the DJ in action? Manny was very responsive to all my messages and scheduled a call right away to see if it was a good fit. I could immediately feel his energy through the phone and knew this was the guy I wanted to DJ my wedding. He was very organized and really listened to what we wanted. He also suggested games he could play during dinner service to keep the guests engaged and the atmosphere light-hearted. It was a total hit! The night flowed so smoothly and I kept getting compliments all night (from the guests to the venue staffs) about how amazing he was. I cannot say enough about Manny! He is extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. From our first phone call, to the actual event, Manny was on top of all the details and made the entire process stress free. Everything from the ceremony to the cocktail hour and reception ran so smoothly, thanks to Manny. 45 minutes into our cocktail hour I started receiving multiple compliments from our guest about how amazing he was. We are so grateful to him. Our night would not have been as special without him! I will be recommending him to all my friends in the future!

Best dj/mc!
Manny was our DJ extraordinaire, MC for our wedding on 10/8. He is very experienced and very professional. He went ahead of time to check out our venue as it was a newer spot, came to the rehearsal dinner to do a sound check and coordinated with our wedding planner. We also loved the uplights and PhotoBooth his wife helped our guests with. They are a sweet team. Two previous brides/friends of mine in San Diego highly recommended him and he didn’t disappoint!! Manny played a great mix of Spanish and English songs, read the crowd well and helped us throw a great party!

Best Wedding DJ Around!
Manny is absolutely fantastic! We hired him as our wedding DJ and from the first phone call I felt at ease working with him. We reviewed the general process and he sent me a link to a site that recapped everything we needed. When we got closer to the wedding day he checked in with me and even gave me advice when I needed help picking certain songs! He completely understood our vibe and got EVERYONE dancing the entire time! I can’t say enough great things about him. Planning a wedding is stressful with all the decisions you have to make, the decision to hire and work with him was one of the best and easiest to make. Thank you Manny!

Great wedding DJ
Manny was my wedding DJ in September 2021. Manny did a great job! I wish he had done a worse job because I danced so much I was too tired to dance to every banger he played. He was really helpful for picking different songs and putting together music for the ceremony, and he was a great MC to keep the wedding moving. He played great dance music and made sure to play a good mix of crowd-pleasers for the older folks and our favorite dance songs for the younger group.

Fun and Professional!
Manny made our wedding so fun! He kept everyone dancing all night long. I only made it to the bar ONCE because I was having such a blast on the dance floor. He really appealed to all ages and was a great MC throughout the whole night. I had friends arrive late and so they watched from a distance and they said they could hear the whole ceremony perfectly. Manny had great communication beforehand and was very professional.

What a fabulous experience! Manny and his wife Teressa were exceptional in their service and friendliness! Our wedding ran so smoothly thanks to Manny's attention to detail, outstanding emceeing abilities and high tech equipment. The photo booth manned by Teressa was also a hit; our guests had such a fun experience with all the provided props and keepsake print-outs! I also really appreciated how quickly Manny responded to our initial inquiry and his patience/timelines in response to our subsequent questions during the planning process. Best Wedding DJ Ever!
Manny is amazing! He went above and beyond! Everyone said how fun our wedding was, and that was in large part due to Manny. He kept the party going. We all loved how he dismissed tables to get their food by making them sing a song with love in it. He was very friendly and professional.The lighting and drapery he set up helped create the perfect ambiance. The online database of songs he used made it really easy to pick songs we liked and get ideas for other ones. He chatted with us multiple times to go over the order of events and make sure everything was the way we wanted. He was very flexible when we asked him to switch things up. He even went above and beyond by helping us deal with our venue people on the day of the wedding. It was super hot in our venue, and he went looking for the maintenance people to fix the AC issue. We really enjoyed having Manny at our special day and would recommend him to everyone.

From the beginning, Manny was communicative, engaged, excited, and professional. His client portal is super helpful, and he works with you to play whatever songs you request. It's a pretty simple process to personalize your playlist and timeline down to the minute, and to request special songs for various moments. It's so wonderful to find professionals who make a large undertaking as smooth and stress-free as possible, and who do what they say they're going to do when they say they're going to do it. And with someone who genuinely loves what they do. He worked with a sudden venue change (due to COVID-19, of course) with zero issues. And Manny just happens to also be a pleasant guy to work with and be around. Absolutely recommend him.

Working with Manny was great. He was extremely responsive and easy to get along with from the get-go. We had to change our wedding date a couple of times, and also had a venue change, due to COVID and Manny was always very understanding and accommodating. As our wedding date approached, he ensured that he had all of the songs we wanted him to play. We also used his services for the photo booth and that worked out great too. He created a custom picture layout for us that matched our wedding theme. All in all, I would highly recommend Manny for any DJ and photo booth services!

Manny did such a great job at our wedding! The flow of our entire day-- from ceremony to reception was smooth and the MC'ing/music was all great! During the planning process, Manny was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating with requests. He helps keep you organized with a timeline for both ceremony/reception, reception event options as well as the specific songs you want to be played during said events. Manny is attentive to what you want and provides helpful feedback if you're ever feeling uncertain about something. I know he's been working as a DJ for many years and has done countless weddings, but every time we talked with him, we felt that he genuinely was excited to be apart of our wedding! So glad we hired Sound Illusions!
We feel so lucky to have been referred to Manny and to have hired him to be the DJ for our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding last weekend. He was so attentive to our needs and requests and extremely flexible with changes that we made up to the last day. He came to our home twice to meet with the family to tell us what he offered and what we could expect. He had regular email communication with the bride and groom and with me.
We really had no idea of the wide-reaching responsibilities of the DJ. He was the emcee of the evening, and he provided the sound system for the ceremony, including a microphone for the officiant, bride and groom that was perfect! No wind noise, complete clarity of every word they spoke and lovely background music.
When we arrived at the venue a couple of hours before the wedding, Manny himself was stringing lights on the patio that would be used for the cocktail hour and dancing later in the evening and he was setting up lights in the reception area that cast a beautiful glow on the walls.
We had everything and more with Manny. He is friendly, respectful, creative and accommodating. He added so much to our event and we couldn’t be happier or more grateful.

Favorite Wedding Vendor!
Manny is by far my favorite vendor I worked with throughout our wedding planning process! "DJ" was the only vendor that needed to be selected from a pre-approved list provided by our venue. Manny was the 2nd DJ we met with and we were immediately impressed by his calm, professional demeanor (I can't say that about the other DJ we met with). We booked Manny immediately after meeting with him and we are so glad we did! He helped us create an accurate timeline and offered suggestions and helpful input along the way. We had a longer engagement (close to 20 months) and Manny was great about checking in on our progress for song selection and was always willing to offer to assist us with anything that we needed.
We also used Manny for our after-party. He got to the venue right away and kept the party going! I would recommend Manny at Sound Illusions in a heart beat to anybody who is looking for a great, professional DJ.

Manny is fantastic! He is such a sweet guy and he was just a joy to work with. He is super responsive and met with us multiple times before the wedding. He is so organized and knowledgeable and was a huge help with planning! He was also committed to our vision for our wedding day. Many is a super talented DJ and gave us a ton of great suggestions for songs for different moments at the wedding. He gives you the option to pick as many or as few songs as you want. He can fill in the rest! We opted to pick enough songs to fill the entire event time, and I was so grateful that Manny was able to play all of our favorites that we hand-picked.

Manny is the best DJ/Emcee I've encountered. He DJed at our wedding at Steele Canyon GC, where he is the preferred vendor. He also DJed for friends weddings, so he comes highly recommended. It is sometimes overwhelming to decide the DJ as prices and style come into play. With Manny, we already knew he is good because of previous events. When we started working with him, he exceeded our expectations. He is very organized, excellent at communicating, very professional, easygoing and kind person. He ensures the energy is high, guests entertained and of course his clients happy. He practiced our name pronunciations, he had multiple game ideas, party favors and he offered many classy and fun ideas. All I could say is, hire him if he is available for your event. We absolutely LOVED Manny. When our venue told us we could only choose from a small list of DJs, I was hesitant about who we would have to choose from. It was such a blessing that sound illusions was on that list! After talking to Manny one time, we knew he was the right fit. Manny understood from the start how important picking certain songs was to us. I had a playlist I had been adding to in Spotify over the years and he downloaded every single one and made sure it was in his library for the wedding. He then met with us multiple times to go over the timeline and to ensure he had the correct songs for the ceremony, first dance, grand entrance, etc...His attention to detail, professionalism and enthusiasm makes him the best. Some DJs are corny or are too intrusive during the event. Manny MC’d the night perfectly only making announcements when necessary but really played the best songs at the best times and got the party going. Our officiant also mentioned that Manny’s sound system was the best he’s ever had! Everything went smoothly and it was so perfect. If you are looking for the nicest, most organized, FUN DJ, you have to choose Sound Illusions. I hope we have more big events just so we can use him again in the future!

Manny and his wife were so great! To be honest, we were very overwhelmed at first after booking him 5 months out and didn't start thinking about music and all that until we had 3 or 4 weeks to go. Let me tell you! Manny was fantastic! He helped us through the whole process and helped us decide music and had fun ideas for the reception. Our custom floor monogram and gorgeous uplights were the perfect touch for our night time reception. His wife manned the Photo booth and she was so kind and patient with everyone. The amount of props they had was phenomenal! Was definitely a fantastic choice!

Manny (DJ/MC/uplighting) and his wife (photobooth) were the best. They were passionate about their work and genuinely cared about making our wedding day perfect. He treated us like we’ve been long time friends and looked out for us. We got many quotes before connecting with Manny’s, his pricing was very reasonable for the budget conscious (compared to other vendors) for the whole end to end services he and his wife were providing.
Manny met with us numerous times to understand what we wanted for our reception
He went above and beyond to procure a secondary backdrop for guest photos (in addition to the photo booth backdrop).
He was creative and were able to engage the guests and created a good vibe throughout the entire reception.
His wife’s photobooth is THE BEST I’ve seen in all the weddings I’ve attended. Two professional grade videographer lighting with insane number of props (to the point that they even had a rack for the masks).
Manny knows how to party, he’s got everything, the Nimbus, Dance Floor Lights, uplighting, great sound system, and I’m sure many more in his arsenal but we didn’t added those options like DMX controller, and Gobo to name a few.
We got so many compliments from guests on “how we know to throw a party”, we were smiling inside knowing that our new friends Manny and his wife made it happen.

Manny absolutely crushed it on the DJ front. From the start of our talks with Manny his professionalism and genuine love for life and weddings was evident. He made us feel super comfortable with his abilities during a stressful time and for that we can't thank him enough.
He was super flexible with our music choices and even managed to track down a rare song that means a ton to me on a personal level. We switched the speed/ genre of music for our cocktail party on him somewhat last minute and he handled it with no questions ask. The guy is a pro and his energy is super inviting. Many people mentioned to us in the week after our wedding how great the DJ was.

Choosing Manny as our DJ was one of the easiest choices we made for our wedding! He is the absolute BEST! There are just way too many great things to say about him and what he did for our wedding. All of our guests danced the night away to literally the perfect blends of music. He is so professional, has great communication through text and emails, and overall he is just a great guy who loves what he does. Manny also provided a photobooth, uplights, and a gobo for our wedding. They were great little details and made it all come together too. Everyone commented on how fun the photobooth was and his wife who helped run it was the absolute sweetest! We love her too! The variety of props and the set up were perfect. Everyone had a blast! The gobo looked beautiful on the wall, and Manny was so great to make it match our invitations too, so cool. For our wedding, we had full trust and not a worry in the world knowing that Manny was our DJ. We knew he would be exactly what our wedding needed for our reception to run smoothly with the best music and the best celebration. Our dance floor was packed ALL night long, and its all thanks to Manny and his hard work. We will recommend him to all of our friends & family. Thank you Manny!

We shopped around plenty for the perfect DJ/MC. We came across many wonderful people, but Manny stood out among the others. Why? Because Manny is professional, creative, very organized and GENUINE. He really wants to make your special day the best day ever. That he did.
Leading up to our wedding, we met with Manny four times (two of the four were for interview purposes). He really didn't really have to meet with us that many times, but it helped in all of the prepping, especially in the weeks right before the big day.
We received many compliments on our wedding. Many of them were in regards to how "fun and spontaneous" the wedding was, and also that it felt "intimate" despite the amount of guests (we had 150 guests). I attribute these comments to Manny and how he was able to craft the perfect itinerary for us. Manny contributed so many great ideas to make our special day represent us. He offered fun and creative games and kept our guests entertained throughout the entire night, in between the awesome music he played. We also signed up for lighting services, both uplighting and a customized gobo light.
We really could not have asked for a better wedding DJ/MC and now, someone I can call our friend. Please do yourself a favor and sign Manny up as your wedding DJ/MC!

DJ Manny was hands-down the best! We searched high and low for a wedding DJ/MC for our wedding that was coming up in three months, and after sifting through high-priced and all-talk so called professionals, we finally found Manny through one of his past clients. His attention to detail and clear communication was a pleasure to work with, and he made our wedding day so much easier on us by being the first to arrive and set up, and he even went the extra mile by helping our adorable flower girl navigate her way to the isle. Manny is the man! We actually didn't meet Manny until our wedding day but we felt confident in our decision to have him as our wedding DJ since he was so easy to talk to over the phone. Our wedding planner had the same experience whenever she had to talk to Manny for us. On our wedding day he played exactly what we asked for and was as kind in person as he was over the phone. He was very professional, accommodating, cheerful, and just a gentleman. I highly, highly recommend Manny at Sound Illusions.

Manny was a delight to work with! From the first meeting, phone calls, and walkthroughs he was attentive and as a bonus has a great sense of humor. He listened to our musical preferences and played our favorite songs and genres. We knew he would be a great fit as DJ and MC for our wedding.
I was pleased to observe that he worked very well with our wedding coordinator. I had a dream team to help plan my wedding, and in large part to Manny's role. First off, planning is easy because they have a song database online that you can choose your songs and organize them according to priority level. As for the reception itself, Manny also acted as planner and helped us visualize activities and timing of such activities throughout the night. We even asked him to recite our love story for our guests before our grand entrance, to which he delivered flawlessly. Throughout the evening we played fun games that kept our guests engaged throughout the night.
Bottomline, if you are able to book Manny for your wedding or event (he's a busy guy!) you will not be disappointed. He was so great to work with and will seem like family before you know it (:

If you want people on the dance floor until the very end of your party, book Manny to be your DJ. Manny was GREAT throughout the entire planning process and especially at the reception. He had more than half of our guests on the dance floor for the entire reception. We received many compliments about how fun our reception was and we owe a lot of that to Manny. I would highly recommend Manny if you are looking to throw a great party!

When they say the DJ can make or break the wedding, Manny definitely made our wedding an awesome night to remember. We were told by many guests that our wedding was one of the most fun ones they've been to. I can guarantee that Manny played a huge role in being able to make that happen. He was very professional and drew lots of laughs throughout the night.
When looking for DJ we wanted someone who could engage with our guests and keep the energy high. Manny has a plethora of experience, ideas and games we drew from to encourage interaction from our families and friends.
Our meetings with Manny were very productive and he offered many great ideas for all the little details to consider throughout the ceremony and reception. My wife and I aren't big music people, but Manny was able to accommodate us by offering great suggestions for songs we could use. He read the guests very well during the dancing and kept the dance floor popping all night. He also played the perfect background music that we suggested during the down times.
His lighting set up was very thoughtful and decorated our venue at Tom Ham's Lighthouse well. The quality of his sound system and mic set ups were also great quality. His sound set up came through loud and clear for both the ceremony and reception locations.
We can't thank Manny enough for doing such a great job and working very well with our vendors to make the night one to remember for the rest of our lives.

Book Manny for your wedding and everyone will be on the dance floor until the very end! After we found the church and the venue for the reception, Manny was the very first vendor we hired. My husband found him online as he had wonderful reviews. We met him in person and booked him that day. He was available if we needed him prior to the wedding but he didn't hound us for answers that we didn't have (we didn't decide on our wedding song until 2 days before the wedding!) More importantly, we had more of our guests on the dance floor than off the dance floor...for the entire night!!! We received a lot of compliments about how much fun our wedding was and we truly have to give a lot of praise to Manny for playing a very large role in that. If you want to put on a good party, book Manny to DJ your wedding!

Let's be honest, a wedding DJ can make or break your reception. Behind the music, the DJ is really the reception coordinator. Once the invitations, food, seating charts, colors, cake and so on are set, they "operate" all the moving pieces in an event and make it flow. Any DJ can throw on your favorite songs, however, there is a difference is when you have one who carries energy, charisma and executes all of your most important moments throughout the reception. You spend a LOT of money throwing this party. Don't leave it all in the hands of an amateur. Sound Illusions's blew away my expectations. Manny has a structured approach to his event planning and also comes in with creative ideas to keep the energy moving. In addition to execution, he knows how to read a crowd and when to mix it up. As a result, we had a GREAT reception. Our guests afterwards commented how the dance floor was never empty and complemented us on some of the unique touches to the wedding. Those touches were compliments to our Sound Illusions. As Bride and Groom, we really valued his flawless execution because it gave us peace of mind on a chaotic day. It allowed us to let go and enjoy the reception with friends and family. Without hesitation, we recommend Sound Illusion. Their services are worth every penny. I now know why they've been recognized as one of the best in San Diego.

Our DJ, Manny, was great! He met with us a number of times prior to the wedding to work through the logistics: how to mic up our officiant, how to mic up our musician for the ceremony, and of course where to set up his booth for the reception and dancing. He also worked closely with us to get a feel for the kind of music that we were into. The music he played for the cocktail hour was perfect and the dance party got started immediately with his help. Manny was professional, always enthusiastic, and no more prominent than he needed to be. He kept things moving, but allowed the evening to flow as we wanted it to. I'm only planning for one wedding, but if I had to do it all over again, I would go with Manny every time.

We were thoroughly pleased with Manny's service. He was easy-going and flexible in meeting with us to discuss exactly what we wanted and how it fit the wedding timeline. Unlike some other DJ's we interviewed, he played exactly the music we wanted. His announcements during the wedding (grand entrance, cake cutting, bouquet toss etc ) were articulate and professional. I consider myself a rather honest reviewer, and of all our vendors for our wedding, we hands down recommend Sound Illusion for any and all DJ/emcee services. I would happily use his company again, as he left such a positive impression on my husband, myself, and all of our guests! We were surprised at the amount of good positive feedback we received the night of our wedding, and most of them were for our DJ and entertainment!
It's amazing how important a DJ is for your event. My husband and I asked around to our event planner friends, and most of them recommended Sound Illusions for their affordable price and best investment for the amount we paid. They weren't wrong! Manny's services were one of the best things we paid for for the wedding and we couldn't have been happier to have him there. We found Manny through our wedding venues list of preferred venders. We got married in September at the Kona Kai Resort & Marina in Shelter Island. From the very beginning Manny was very professional, organized, confident, personable, and just overall had a great personality. Best of all he made us laugh, which is something that made him stand out among his competitors. We knew then that because of him our wedding was going to be a blast for everyone, and that it was. Manny met with us multiple times throughout our time with him which also made us more comfortable and reassured us that everything would go smoothly. He was very flexible and open to hearing our ideas although he had a ton a really great ideas and recommendations of his own which really kept the party going smoothly and kept all my guest entertained. After all he does have over 20+ years of DJing at weddings so his experience was also a big plus for us. My guest would not stop complimenting us on how much they loved the DJ. Manny made our wedding amazing in so many ways, he wasn't just a DJ that played great music, but he did amazing job with the up lighting, and was a fantastic announcer throughout the night, even with tricky hard to pronounce names. We mostly loved how he didn't just play great music but that he kept my guest involved by playing various interactive games; i.e. The shoe game, the kissing game, the anniversary dance, a trivial questionnaire about the bride and groom. Of course this was something we felt was important to us for all the guest to get up and dance and be involved. So if that's the kind of DJ you are looking for Manny is the perfect fit and I would highly recommend him for not only weddings but for any other event. Oh and did I mention his prices are very reasonable!!

My daughter and I had to pick a DJ in one weekend and we were instantly attracted to
Manny at the Bridal Bazaar because of his friendliness and professionalism. Manny provided much needed support by helping us design the timeline, music selections and activities for the wedding and ceremony. He kept all ages on the dance floor and made the wedding so lively. We got compliments all night that this was the best wedding our guests had ever attended. In addition to his music expertise he created a beautiful atmosphere with the up lighting and creative market string lights at the entry way at our outdoor venue at the Bali Hai. I would highly recommend him for any wedding and plan to use him at my younger daughter's wedding in the future.

My husband and I got married in June up in Temecula at Falkner Winery. I know it is a late review but better late than never, especially since I relied on wedding reviews so much when planning our wedding. Manny with Sound Illusions was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend him. He was the only vendor that we used down here in San Diego where we live. He had no problems with traveling up to Temecula and on top of it did not charge extra for it. I would have to say one of my fears for the wedding was no one was going to dance, but Manny and (I feel bad but don’t remember the other DJ who was with him) did not let that happen. We had lots of people on the dance floor and my husband and I dance the night away together with all our family and friends. We did not want to choose all of our songs and express this to Manny during the couple of times we meet up with him before the wedding. We told him to feel out the crowd and try to keep everyone dancing and he sure did not disappoint on that. Manny's prices were very reasonable for his up lighting and DJ/MC services. He was very professional but also approachable and friendly. He sure was a big part in making our big day amazing!

Manny provided DJ services for our wedding. I received many comments from our guests on how awesome our playlist was. My husband and I had selected songs from several different genres, and Manny made the music flow perfectly. Most of our guests ended up getting on the dance floor, which is exactly what we were hoping for. Manny came with an assistant which worked well so he could move about and orchestrate the events taking place. He also provided up lighting which beautifully complimented our site. We were very lucky to have found Manny. I would highly recommend him for any major event!

Manny was so wonderful, he was so kind, he came with us to meetings with our venue, he worked with our coordinator to ensure he followed all procedures precisely, he was very professional. He made sure we had a mix of all different types of music, and that everyone was having a great time. He was on time, replied to all emails and calls promptly. He also did our uplighting which really made our reception space look beautiful, such a great job. Manny is just an overall nice person who loves what he does, and truly cares about the bride and groom. I highly recommend him!
