Sound Extreme Saved Our Wedding and Kept the Party Going!

I cannot say enough good things about Sound Extreme! After our original band cancelled just 48 hours before our wedding, they stepped in seamlessly and worked closely with our wedding planner to save the day. Not only were they incredibly easy to work with on such short notice, but they absolutely wowed our guests with their performance.

Even now, our guests are still raving about the band. They expertly read the crowd, playing a perfect mix of songs that kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night. During the band's breaks, the DJ seamlessly took over and maintained the high energy, ensuring the party never missed a beat.

What’s even more impressive is that they pulled this off with just 48 hours' notice and a single 30-minute phone call. I can only imagine how amazing they'd be with more time to prepare (even though I don't think they could be any better)!

If you're looking for a band that will keep your dance floor packed all night long, I cannot recommend Sound Extreme enough. Thank you so much for everything you did to make our wedding unforgettable!

High Energy and Amazing Atmosphere!

We've worked with Sound Extreme for years, and every time, they bring so much life to a reception! DJs Kyle, Chase, and Stephen are amazing at what they do—they know exactly how to get people on the dance floor and keep the energy high all night long. Their ability to create a fun and lively atmosphere makes each wedding unforgettable.

Their communication is always top-notch, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. We always know it’s going to be a great time when they’re around and we love recommending them to our clients!

The Butler Wedding (with Chase as our DJ)

The entire process working with Sound Extreme was incredible but we never would have imagined how smoothly the day of would have went. Chase was absolutely fantastic being able to quadruple check all of the major songs the day of, keeping the dancing going and everyone had an incredible time.

We had people from age 18 all the way up to 80+ and the dance floor always had someone on there. From beginning to end everyone had a wonderful time so if you're looking for a DJ look no further than Chase from Sound Extreme Weddings.

Best Dance Floor

We booked Sound Extreme and DJ Sandman (Sandy) through our wedding venue, The Crest Pavilion. Sandy had our dance floor filled all night long and he looked like he had a good time doing it. We had many comments from guest about how much fun they had dancing at our wedding. We loved our experience working with Sound Extreme and Sandy. He was super easy to work with any played everything we asked for with incredible transitions. We would highly recommend both to anyone looking for a fun dance floor.

Steven Harris is the real crowd pleaser!

Steven was the best DJ I've seen at a wedding, and I've been to quite a few! Our wedding planner highly recommended him and he knocked it out of the park! He gives off such a fun vibe and really pays attention to what the crowd wants. At the end of our reception he played one of my favorite songs and he saw that I was singing with all heart so he brought me the microphone 🤣 and that proceeded to an impromptu karaoke session with me, the groom, the best man and even Steven himself! hahaha we had a freakin blast!

Perfect music all night long!

Steven Harris was extremely easy to work with. We met with him and discussed the music we were looking for on our wedding night and he played the perfect music all night long. It was a great mix that got our guests out on the dance floor. One of our guests told us that it was the best music she has experienced at a wedding. Extremely happy with everything Steven did to make our wedding night even more special.

These Guys Really Know How to Throw a Party!

We hired Sound Extreme through the Crest Center and got so lucky having Steven as our wedding DJ! I had no idea that we would have phone calls with him to discuss music preferences and planning out our special songs, but it was exactly what we needed! Steven threw some suggestions out there as well, so he was able to mix his ideas with ours. He is very personable and read us well through our conversations. The music flowed flawlessly and even when there was a song I didn't like, he quickly mixed it into a new song and you would have never had known. He read the room well which gave us a lot of confidence. Steven was a great MC for the night as well, moving the wedding right along. You can tell he really enjoys what he does and it made our wedding all the more better! Thank you Steven for throwing a great party!!

The time of my life❤️

Steven Harris is a amazing DJ! He was so helpful with with last minute songs choices and the timeline for our wedding. I was so relieved after talking with him on the phone. He was able to answer all of my questions. The day of the wedding he didn't miss a beat. The ceremony was perfect and the reception was a blast. All my guest loved him and we had the time of our life!

Awesome DJ

Sandy did an amazing job MCing our wedding ceremony and reception! We received compliments from several guests saying that the music was on point for the entire evening. Sandy is very personable and his positive energy and enthusiasm is contagious. Once the dancing music started, the dance floor never emptied until the end of the night.

Sandy was also easy to work with. He was happy to incorporate our music preferences into the wedding ceremony and reception. We wanted an eclectic mix of older songs, non-English music, and modern songs. Sandy was able to incorporate these very different genres together flawlessly. We also wanted to incorporate games into the reception which Sandy helped lead and explain to the guests.

Overall, we were extremely happy with Sandy and Sound Extreme Entertainment and would recommend them to anyone looking for an MC for wedding ceremony and/or wedding reception in the Asheville area.

Thank you DJ Steven Harris for doing an incredible job at our wedding! Steven was amazing, great at communicating prior to our wedding and the day of. He took our few suggestions on style of music and the few songs we wanted played and helped make our ceremony perfect and our reception fantastic. He kept the party and dancing going strong. We even had a custom song for our first dance and Steven was ready to go with it with no problems.
Highly recommend Steven and Sound Extreme for your wedding or other events.

Steve Harris was Fantastic

We had the honor of working with DJ Steve Harris for our wedding. Steve was so wonderful to have, he took every song we asked for and weaved it into the perfect atmosphere! He was so lovely and accommodating, even being so helpful to work with us on a couple last minute song changes. He had a great fun yet always professional presence and he took every hitch and last-minute request (sorry we were a bit of a mess!) in stride. Having a fantastic DJ can make a huge difference and I can confidently say that we were blessed to have Steve for our wedding. Thank you, Steve, for being amazing and making it happen!

Our wedding was at Claxton Farm & we booked Steven with Sound Extreme thru our venue. Steven was great with communication from start to finish. He eased all my anxiety the week before the wedding. We had the Crocodile Smile Band play at our wedding and the biggest comment I got from EVERYONE the day after our wedding was how absolutely awesome our band was. They had the entire room dancing all night long and gave us the best party of our lives. They played hit after hit with exceptional vocals and amazing instrumentals. Every member of the band was also so incredibly kind and helped us pull off every single thing we wanted. I can’t believe how lucky we were to get to have them perform at our wedding and I would recommend them to any and everyone!

Sandy is definitely the man. From the very first time he made contact with me, it was a positive experience. He was the DJ for our wedding a couple weeks ago at Sawyer Family Farmstead and had a big part in how much FUN our reception turned out to be. I had an amazing experience with Sound Extreme. They had fantastic communication and made all my wedding reception dreams come true. I know this sounds crazy but you consider booking the owner's son. He is only 12, but he brought the house down. He was unbelievable! We also had their band, Crocodile Smile, play and they were incredible. People were limping the next day from dancing so much.

Sound Extreme. Our DJ was Michael Morgan and we were very impressed with his outgoing personality and capability of keeping the party going all night long! He went beyond his duties and responsibilities and even edited several of our first dances for us. My husbands dream was to be announced to the Chicago Bulls theme song with the DJ announcing us like we were the players…Michael did an excellent job!! It couldn’t have been more perfect!!

We had Steven for our wedding. He was absolutely phenomenal! I knew after I spoke to him on the phone that he was going to be wonderful and that I didn't need to worry about anything! Throughout the wedding he was making sure that everyone was dancing and having a great time. He played the songs that we had requested beforehand, made sure that my husband and I had everything we needed for the toasts, and he always asked for our permission before playing songs that guests had requested. I would highly recommend Steven and Sound Extreme to anyone who wants professional, top notch entertainment. I seriously cannot say how impressed we were, along with everyone else, at the reception!

We had DJ Sandman (Sandy) do the music for our wedding reception. He did a fantastic job and we had so many compliments throughout the evening on what a great DJ he was. He checked in with me throughout the evening to be sure everything was going the way I wanted. Before hand I gave him an idea of what we wanted to hear, he executed this list perfectly and as the evening went on did a great job at reading the crowd and kept the small party out on the dance floor. He was very professional and we spoke several times by phone/e-mail to go over things. I was unsure about my first dance&father/daughter dance song, I changed my mind on these last minute and he played them out perfectly without any problems. He truly made our wedding a night to remember, I would recommend DJ Sandman to anyone who is looking for an affordable, fun, and professional DJ!

Michael was amazing!!!! I was nervous since I planned everything from California and relied on phone calls, texts and e-mails. Michael was always sure to get back to me! My ceremony music wasn't the usual task for most DJ's. We were all walking down to the Grateful Dead. Every part of the ceremony had a different song and certain minutes that I wanted played and Michael nailed it!!!!! He played a lot of the songs I wanted during the reception and got everyone dancing! I hadn't danced that much in a very long time! It was such a blast! Michael created a wonderful atmosphere that everyone enjoyed!!!! Thanks for pairing him with us for our wedding!

Sound Extreme was great at our wedding. We struggled over what music we wanted to play and got our list to the DJ, Michael, very last minute and he was super flexible and able to keep everyone on the dance floor. It was pretty unexpectedly windy and cold for our May wedding, and he was a champ as he was probably hit the hardest with the breezes from the mountains. The price was great and I would use them again.

Justin was our DJ and he was awesome. I had a specific list with some songs that were not readily available so he was able to get them from my computer remotely. He also had a great vibe of the crowd and played the right songs at the right time. He also had a list of my must plays and made that happen as well. I will definitely use Justin and/or Sound Extreme again!

I would highly recommend Paul Gerber of Sound Extreme. He did a great job as DJ for our wedding. We spoke before hand to review genres we liked, didn’t like, songs we didn’t want to be played, bridal party introductions, etc. I provided a playlist of songs but told him to feel free to use his own judgement to play what kept people on the dance floor and that’s exactly what he did. People were dancing all night and everyone had a great time! I would highly recommend him to other brides.

Steven Harris did an amazing job with our event. We l at him have free reign over the music and only gave him a "do not play list". When there were requests he would consult with the groom and I to be sure it was okay. Everyone danced all night and it was fabulous! Truely a night I will never forget. Steven Harris DJ'd my wedding last weekend and had the dance floor packed the whole night... To the point that people were literally chanting "one more song" at the end. He mixed in enough to keep everyone interested, but stuck to our style, and ultimately kept us all really happy and energized. We couldn't be happier!!

We absolutely loved our DJ from Sound Extreme! Our original DJ became very sick the day of the wedding, but Sound Extreme came through and gave us a great one. We had a wedding mixed with people from a different country and Americans- the DJ made a great balance of the songs I (the bride) wanted, the songs that each culture wanted to dance to, and the songs he thought would get people moving. We had an AWESOME party going on. I think we would have gone all night if our contract with the venue didn't require we finish earlier!!!

We worked with Sandy from Sound Extreme. He was super responsive and helpful leading up to the wedding day. On the day of he was great! He played all the songs we requested and added ones we loved, he was very responsive to our requests and made the party so much fun! Booking was very easy (it all went through the Crest Center). I highly recommend this service for your wedding!

Michael Finch was the DJ for our wedding at Claxton Farm and he was ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! He knew exactly what would get our wedding guests up and on their feet! We gave him a short list of songs that were special to us and he ran with it and used his creative genius to make it a night we will never forget. but seriously, his editing skills and DJ experience were invaluable to us. My husband and I are music lovers and it was so important to us to have the right person manning the turntable - that person was michael finch! Kudos to Sound extreme for finding him for us!

We had Billy James as our DJ and he was awesome! I ended up doing online RSVPs for our wedding and had a "what song(s) will get you dancing" question for them to answer. Billy chose a great selection from my guests requests and even accommodated a special request from myself for the father/daughter dance. We did a sweet song and then went into a choreographed dance to a bunch of popular dance songs. I wanted people to actually think the song messed up (record skips just aren't believable people!) So I edited the song to skip and then play the windows logoff sound - and asked billy to play it up to make people think his equipment was really malfunctioning. He played it PERFECTLY! People even started to clap because they thought that was the end. Then we came in with our surprise dance and it was a huge hit! Billy made sure to check in with me to make sure I was happy with everything and did all he could to make sure everyone was having a good time! I would highly recommend Billy and Sound Extreme!

Wonderful! My mom was concerned that it would be difficult to get people dancing-not with Sound Extreme!! Practically everyone danced the whole time! He played music that got all generations wanting to dance! Highly recommend!!

Sound Exteme DJs are professional, responsive, fun and helpful. They located specific songs requested even one from the 50's when we gave them the wrong title and they located it by the words. They provided video equpiment for a personal story of the bride and groom. They introduced all events within the wedding. They kept everyone on track and on time, they were so much more than a DJ.

Great Flexible DJ - Steven Harris

Steven Harris was awesome! We aren't really in to "wedding DJs" that have a standard playlist that you hear at basically every wedding you go to. Steven was super flexible and let us curate the whole playlist, and then added in some great mixing . From the start, he was adamant that "this is your event" and wanted to whatever it took to make it how we wanted. Would highly recommend!

Excellent DJ!

Sandy did an amazing job with our ceremony music, dinner music, and reception! He was a great announcer. He played great dance music all night. He also did an amazing mix of 80s and 90s hip hop. He played exactly the type of music we wanted. We got so many compliments on the music. I would highly recommend Sandy!

Thanks DJ Sandy

Sandy was the perfect DJ for our wedding a couple of weeks ago. We had a difficult time picking music and were only able to give him a small list of songs which he turned into a full night of music fitting for everyone. We had a wide variety in our guests and he catered to that perfectly. He made sure to check in on my husband and I and informed us of some good luck "signs" he noticed throughout the evening making it feel that much more special to us. It was slightly difficult to get in touch with Sound Extreme in the very beginning which was fixed quickly and there were no further problems. They also helped provide us with a guitarist for the ceremony who was very talented and easy going. Thank you guys for helping make our day perfect!

The booking experience with sound extreme was straightforward and simple. We were assigned DJ Sandman. He was terrific. He provided the music for both our ceremony and reception. He was able to get every song we requested and played a great mix, of just what we had asked for, the rest of the night. Would recommend to anyone.

Paul of Sound Extreme did a fantastic job as a DJ for our wedding. We got to speak with Paul before hand to go over the special requirements we had for our grand entrance as well as the different styles of music we liked. Paul executed our Grand Entrance perfectly and kept our guests moving all night long. He really did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend him and Sound Extreme to brides.

Ben Sikorski organized my event, but Josh was my actual DJ. I was very pleased with the non intrusive set up and was able to provide him a playlist. I actually had scheduled some live music for cocktail hour (with the DJ starting after that), but my performer got sick and could not make it. I made a quick call to Josh who was able to set up early and play for cocktail hour. He saved the day! He did a great job introducing the wedding party and making transitions. Definitely good value for the price. Some DJs wanted 2 or 3 times the price for the same number of hours.

DJ Billy for sound extreme was perfect for our wedding reception. He kept us on time, played songs the guests raved about, and was professional and fun! We checked in with them two weeks before the wedding and had trouble getting a response, but once we were assigned a DJ it was smooth sailing. LOVE DJ BILLY!!

We had very specific requests in terms of the music we wanted and didn't want played during our event and the DJ was very respectful of our requests. He also helped us to move along the event and announce important moments without being intrusive or overzealous. We had many compliments about the music and sound levels during the course of the evening. We had a great experience and were impressed with the level of professionalism we encountered.

Overall we were very happy with our DJ from Sound Extreme. The only issue was it was a little harder to get ahold of them before the wedding, but he showed up early and prepared and did an amazing job. We were told by our venue to expect some delay in responses, but they always showed up and did a great job, and we were pleasantly surprised.

Highly recommend, and don't fret if they are a little slow responding. They'll be there and keep everyone dancing.

Fall wedding in the mountains

We had our wedding at Claxton Farms and while we didn't have a lot of choice in our entertainment options, boy are we glad we got so lucky with our amazing DJ! We had a little bit of difficulty getting information from the company about our assigned DJ in the beginning, but once we did, it was smooth sailing!

Steven Harris did a beyond spectacular job with our reception. From dealing with all of my million (and sometimes a little bit random) requests in creating our music program to taking care to reassure us he had this handled (and he did!) to keeping the party going, he was phenomenal. He was incredibly accommodating and responsive, especially considering how busy he is. We really appreciate his kindness, and his ability to help meet all of the requests everyone threw at home. Steven, you 100% made our reception the success it was - we cannot thank you enough!

After I booked this vendor they were a little hard to get in touch with but when it came to the day of the wedding the DJ was punctual, reliable, and a great DJ. The music was fun and he read the room well. His MC skills were also on point. I would recommend this DJ for weddings in the western NC mountains.

Sound Extreme came highly recommended by my wedding planner. I felt communication was hard. Ben the owner likes to text. We never received any invoices. Just was expected to know to send a payment two weeks before event date? I booked them about a year in advance. We lost our first DJ, MIchael Morgan a short time before the wedding?? Honesty after speaking with him I am happy he was not our DJ. Sound Extreme found us another one quickly, but the whole process was upsetting to say the least. Our final DJ was just ok. While he kept the crowd busy and he was great at responding to emails there were some professional issues.

Let me begin by saying that I never write reviews for anything... I just don't care enough/have better things to do. However, I was very disappointed with my experience with Sound Extreme Entertainment and would like to pass the information along to help other brides. Initially, I was very please... the service and responsiveness leading up to the wedding day were great. I felt confident everything would go as planned. We (my husband and I) filled out the information sheet online and I even spoke with the DJ on the phone to confirm our plans.

Unfortunately, on the wedding day everything seemed to go wrong:
*The DJ did not follow our music requests. We asked for a variety of music and he played almost exclusively "Top 40" hits. Additionally, we asked for "clean" versions of songs and he did not follow this request.
*The DJ directly approached me (the bride) or sent people to find me through out the night to ask me questions about when certain songs should be played, announcements made, etc. This was particularly annoying because I had sent him detailed information prior to the wedding and filled out the information sheet of music choices. No bride wants to micromanage wedding vendors at their own wedding... this was so unprofessional on the part of our DJ!
*My parents and inlaws planned a choreographed dance and he messed up the music (which was very upsetting because they had clearly put a lot of work into the dance.
*The DJ failed to make important announcements (ie. inviting guests to the buffet for dinner), causing the flow of the night to be messed up at certain points.

I really could go on with more examples. It was SO frustrating. What's even worse, guests/the wedding party actually commented on how bad the music was. No one wants to hear about things going badly at their own wedding... it's just not fun!

I know they've received many great reviews, so maybe they'll do a good job for you.... but proceed with caution.

The vendor was difficult to get in touch with. He missed scheduled phone calls to discuss the reception. My husband had to contact the manager to get him to respond to us. I had few specific requests that I requested in advance and he was unprepared for them, making our exit unpolished and unprofessional. There were many times when our guests were not dancing. The transitions for the first dance and father/daughter dance were awkward. He did play the songs I asked for during cocktail hour, which was good.
