I decided to let my now husband decide on music for our wedding and he was really interested in the idea of live music. We saw that this band was playing at a place in town while we were visiting that was also featured in a few of the local bridal magazines we got in town so we went to see them. They were fun and lively and we decided to give them a call. The lead of the band, Brent, worked with us on every detail - even agreeing to learn a Taylor Swift song to play as I walked down the aisle. These guys go above and beyond and keep the party going. I gave them a list of song suggestions that our guests had given us on our RSVPs for the times that the DJ would be playing music and I told them they were just suggestions but they were able to fill them in at appropriate times during the night. Every time I heard one I was like oh that's cool that so and so had that song requested. I really enjoyed working with this band/DJ. I highly recommend them. They knew how to keep the party going and the right time to play different songs. It was a great night overall. -

Great experience with SOULone for our wedding. We had acoustic guitar for the ceremony, solo guitar for cocktail hour and DJ for the remainder of the evening. Brent provided excellent music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Guests enjoyed the songs. Steven was a fun DJ who read the group well to keep the energy up. We are very pleased with the service we received and would highly recommend SOULone for a wedding or other event. Brent was very helpful in suggesting other vendors as well which is priceless when you are planning a destination wedding. -

We hired SOUL one to provide entertainment for our family's OBX reunion week, and we were thrilled with their performance. Their ability to engage guests of all ages, from the youngest kids wielding light sabers to the older family members enjoying the music selection, truly made the event special. The positive energy they brought to the gathering was infectious, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved.
One of the aspects we appreciated the most was their adaptability to the diverse crowd, ensuring that everyone felt included and entertained throughout the event.
The overall experience with SOUL one was fantastic, and we would not hesitate to hire them again for future events. Their ability to connect with such a wide range of audience members and create a fun and inclusive atmosphere truly elevated our reunion week, leaving us with fond memories that we will cherish for years to come. -

SoulOne was absolutely fantastic! We hired their full-service package (acoustic wedding ceremony, trio band cocktail hour, and band/DJ reception). Brent was incredibly accommodating and willing to work with us to craft the perfect music atmosphere. Our dance floor was packed all night long! Met Soul One wedding weekend and went and watch them play locally.. Had the honor of having soul one for my rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception .. they went above and beyond for everything. Amazing personalities, crowd interaction and their music is amazing.. we had it all from the band to the DJ and they certainly did not disappoint so much that family are still speaking about them months later!! -

We had an awesome time with SoulOne. Brent played acoustic guitar at our ceremony and then we had a DJ for the reception. He was AMAZING and people are still talking about his picks. He made my boomer mom and my gen z sister happy (he was very patient when my sister grabbed the mic and started singing). I would absolutely recommend SoulOne! -

Brent and Steven were absolutely fabulous. I filled out a timeline sent by Brent that covered everything. They were so open to everything we wanted ahead of time and I couldn’t have asked for more. Everything for our vibe fit perfectly and I couldn’t be more thankful! I highly recommend using them for your special day or any event! Steven was great at reading the crowd and adjusting to the mood and Brent was the absolute BEST for our acoustic portion. 10/10 would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!SOULone's reply:

Working with Brent and the rest of the band from SOULOne was wonderful! From the beginning they were responsive and helpful with any questions we had. They were open to all of our ideas and willing to share their suggestions on how to make the evening run smoothly! SoulOne was amazing!! The guitar songs during cocktail hour were so lovely and exactly what we were hoping for. The DJing during our reception was so fun with laser lights and a fog machine and he knew how to get everyone dancing and played all the songs I requested! I had a timeline that ended up getting moved all around but they went along with everything and made announcements to keep the schedule on track. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!! -

We started the day having Brent playing the acoustic guitar. It was so great and matched the vibe of our gorgeous day perfectly! Then Steven kept the dance floor packed all night long! All of our guests loved dancing the night away. We also loved the lighting they provided! So much fun! -

My husband and I just got married on 7/15/22 and with both being huge into live music, we had to have a band play at our wedding. We did a bunch of research and if you’re getting married… SOULone is your band. Brent (lead singer and manager) was great to work with, he played live acoustic for our ceremony, our guests loved the cocktail hour trio band and the best part was the reception. SOULone crushed it!! If you’re looking to have a live band plus DJ at your wedding and not into all the cliche wedding/top 40 songs then SOULone is your answer. Our guests and us were on the dance floor all night long. We are all still talking about how awesome SOULone was and wish we had more time to jam with them! Thank you for making our big day absolutely priceless! -

Brent was super amazing, the ceremony music was so wonderful and beautiful. He was very quick to respond and always eager to answer and questions or address any concerns. He worked super well with all of our other vendors which made the process so much easier for a destination wedding! -

SOULOne was amazing throughout the process of working with them! They were very flexible with requests and helped with the timeline. Everyone loved their music and towards the end we switched to DJ music. No one wanted the night to end! The combination of both make them unique in the best ways! -

I don't even know where to begin with this review because I can not rave about SOULone enough! I had THE best day ever, and SOULone kept the party going all night long!
To begin, I had no wedding planner and was planning my own backyard wedding. I knew I wanted a live band that would switch to DJ services later into the night. I hit up a couple of vendors, but after stumbling upon SOULone's listing on the wedding wire I checked their website and knew these guys were the ones I wanted to book.
Brent was very responsive and easy to communicate with. He even spent about half an hour on the phone with me to nail in a final timeline for the wedding. I could tell Brent has worked numerous of weddings before because he was asking me questions I didn't even think of! I can honestly say Brent helped me pull off my wedding with ease, especially since I did not have a wedding planner or coordinator. But that's not even the best part....
The best part is the band themselves. They showed up on time, ready to roll, and ready to rock the block. Brent played the ceremony music and it was so amazing to walk down to the aisle to Jack Johnson played beautifully by Brent. During the reception they had the whole dance floor pumped the ENTIRE night! I got to celebrate my wedding by dancing and rocking the night away with my husband, friends, and family. I did not even get a chance to eat much food because I was out on the dance floor most of the night. I had people come up to me numerous times telling me that it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and SOULone played a major role in that hype.
Steven took over the last part of the night with his DJ set and had EVERYONE dancing. He even mashed up two of my favorite songs I requested to end the night, which was just the cherry on top to finish an AMAZING day.
FIVE STARS ALL AROUND FOR THESE GUYS. They are probably hands down the best live band on the OBX right now. Brent killed it on guitar, Vaughan killed it on the bass, and Steven killed it on the drums and DJ set. They even brought out all the gizmos (lights, lasers, fog machines) and just rocked the whole block. We were dancing on tables by the end of the night, that's how much fun we had. They made my wedding day UNFORGETTABLE!!!

Steven was great! We could have not asked for a better DJ/night. He seriously made the night! I loved that people requested songs and he played them. He announced that my niece lost her tooth, that was adorable! Overall just beyond great! Thank you again for the best night ever! -

SoulONE absolutely killed our wedding! They had everyone up and dancing until the end of our reception. We asked guests to share a song they promised to dance to and SoulONE was so amazing as making sure all got included. I absolutely loved worked with them and would recommend to any couple for their wedding! -

Brent was very helpful answering all the questions we had and coordinating with him was very easy, as he made himself available when needed. He also was very helpful in directing us in choosing the rights songs for each part of our wedding and even learned a new song just for us. He arrived early, which helped our packed schedule, and easily set up at the venue with no issues.
