Kathleen is the best!

My husband and I could not be happier with our ceremony and what a pleasure Kathleen was to work with - she is incredible! I left our initial meeting on cloud nine, confident we had made the best decision to include her in our ceremony and even more excited for our wedding than before (which I didn't think was possible). She asked thoughtful questions and truly cared to get to know us as a couple. It was so great knowing we were in such great hands with Kathleen helping us. She is so calming but also enthusiastic about what a special occasion we were planning – it is the perfect combination of emotions that you would want present on your wedding day! In true Cape Cod fashion the weather on our wedding day was rainy and stormy which caused changes to our ceremony location and logistics, but this didn't phase Kathleen in the slightest, she remained her regular positive, professional and cheerful self - again so comforting during what could have been stressful! After the ceremony many of our friends and family commented on how wonderful her words were, and how fitting they were for the location, weather and us as a couple. Kathleen truly cares abour her work and the couples she works with and was able to so beautifully reflect this in our ceremony - she is the best!

Couldn’t be happier!

After meeting Kathleen for the first time our minds were made up. She was warm, friendly and very easy to talk to. When we told her how we met she immediately put into words a simple statement that worked so well in our ceremony.
The ceremony was created with a touch of tradition, very personalized and a bit of humor. It was perfect! We couldn’t be happier. We highly recommend Kathleen.

Where do we begin?! We were getting married on Block Island and about 6-8 weeks before our wedding, our officiant had a medical issue (recovering very well) and we had to find another officiant! We knew we loved Kathleen’s ceremony since she married our friends, Jill and Brad. She was SUCH a pleasure to work with! I called her in a bit of a panic and she was so calming and told me that she would make the trip to Block Island, even though it was a couple hours away! She put together the ceremony so quickly and it was absolutely beautiful and everything we had hoped for. She is quite a special person with one of the biggest hearts! The ceremony was beautiful and so many of our guests came up to us afterwards telling us how much they enjoyed the ceremony! Thank you for making our day so special!

Just right

With a voice that sounded like "warm, home baked cookies" on the phone, I knew we couldn't go wrong with Kathleen :) She really listened to us and put together a bespoke ceremony that reflected our shared values but also our different approaches to life. She was very warm too and made everyone in our intimate little ceremony feel at ease... laughs and smiles all around. All in all a really lovely ceremony. THANK YOU, Kathleen!

The best officiant on Cape Cod!

From the moment we met Rev. Kathleen, we knew we wanted her to officiate her ceremony. She met with us before the wedding so we could get to know each other before she started writing. I was so impressed at the time she took with us, and how much she puts into each wedding. Our ceremony was not just beautiful, it was a true reflection of our relationship and love for each other. Kathleen also made us feel calm and relaxed both at the rehearsal and on our big day. I didn't realize how important this would be until we were up there in front of 130 people. I would recommend Kathleen to anyone who is looking for someone to officiate their wedding. She is one of a kind. Kathleen, thank you for making ceremony so special. We'll remember our lovely ceremony forever.

Yay for Kathleen! When I emailed her to say thank you after the wedding, the first words that came to mind were "We did it!", because she truly made it feel like a team effort from the very start. My husband and I are so very grateful for the big part Kathleen played in crossing us into the "country of marriage". From the first phone call to Kathleen handing me a tissue to wipe Wes' sweating brow during our vows, her presence radiated the warmth and calm reassurance we/I needed to keep "going in". Consider yourself very lucky if you get to navigate this most intimate life moment with Kathleen at the helm!

Kathleen is the absolute best. She officiated our ceremony last weekend and we could not have asked for a more perfect, meaningful ceremony. We met her back in the winter and were so impressed by how warm and easy she was to talk to. Kathleen took the time to get to know the two of us and was incredibly thoughtful in the words that she chose for the wedding ceremony. She sent us a draft of the ceremony and asked for input, which made it even more personalized and made us feel like like we were in control of how the ceremony was going to take place. At the rehearsal and on the day of the wedding, I felt how happy she was for us and how happy she was to be there.

I truly lost count of how many guests came up to me after the wedding to say how wonderful Kathleen was - our guests noted how personal the ceremony was and how it seemed like she had known us for years. We got married by the water and we loved the way she worked into the ceremony themes of the ocean and and the season of spring, making it feel like the ceremony was written specifically for us on that day. Neither my husband nor I are particularly religious, but Kathleen does a wonderful job of incorporating God and making the ceremony spiritual.

I cannot say enough good things about Kathleen and what an incredible job she did for us from start to finish. I highly recommend her to every bride and groom.

We are so lucky to have had Kathleen officiate our wedding! Kathleen took the time to meet with us and get to know us, and as a result, our vows were perfect. We especially enjoyed the personal touch of hearing our "own words" about each other during the ceremony. We received many compliments from our guests about what a beautiful ceremony it was. Kathleen officiated our wedding on a chilly, rainy morning in Provincetown this autumn. From the first phone call she was everything we wanted and needed: relaxed, encouraging, warm and comforting, and with a sense of humor that we all appreciated. We were beyond happy that Kathleen married us on our wedding day! She helped personalize and portray our love story so we could feel relaxed and calm up up there in front of our loved ones. Our ceremony was moved in last minute due to weather, but she still made us feel comfortable knowing that there was no stress and we were still marrying our best friend at the end of the day. My wife and I wanted to have a very unique wedding ceremony, so we set out to find the perfect officiant and then got to work crafting our ceremony. Kathleen was our first choice. We knew she would be great the first time we spoke to her on the phone - she was warm, kind, and very open to helping us put together exactly what we wanted. Unfortunately due to a scheduling conflict, she wasn't available to officiate our wedding herself. We decided to ask a friend to officiate our ceremony for us instead. As the date approached, we were feeling overwhelmed with creating a ceremony from the ground up for a friend who had never done it before. We sent a panicked email to Kathleen, asking for her help putting our ceremony together. She was able to put us at ease over the phone, explaining how she could help us put everything together. We sent her a lot of the materials we had been working with, and told her all of the elements we wanted to include. She then got to work on a ceremony for us that incorporated our ideas. But more importantly, she helped us with a structure and consulted with us on how long it should be, what elements were necessary, how many readings to have, etc. We went from being stressed and overwhelmed to excited in no time. Everything turned out perfectly, and we couldn't have done it without her!

In full disclosure, Kathleen is my mom's best friend and my godmother, however, I couldn't have imagined our ceremony without her. She is organized, attentive, creative and, of course, soulful.

I cannot say enough about Kathleen. She is simply wonderful. All of the guests at the reception, and the days following the wedding told me what a lovely ceremony we had, and that "where did you find your officiant?! She was so awesome!" And she really was. I am so pleased with how everything went- she is thoughtful, kind and patient and takes the time to get to know each couple she presides over. There are certain people we all meet in our lives that we consider very special- Kathleen is one of those people. She had me smiling, laughing, crying (happy tears, of course... with a fall themed handkerchief handy for me that day!) She is truly a gift and I am so honored that she was a part of such a special day- and made it that much more special. She's one of a kind, and if you're getting married on the Cape, or anywhere near the Cape, I highly recommend you contact her- I will be eternally grateful to her for all of her support leading up to the wedding and on the day itself. Kathleen wrote the most beautiful ceremony for our wedding! I am so glad I found her and she was available! When I first spoke to her on the phone, I felt like I had known her for years. She was just so kind and easy to talk to. When Bryan and I met her for coffee to plan our ceremony, she made the process so easy! On the way home, we kept commenting on how great she was! She really understood what we wanted/didnt want in the ceremony and made great suggestions as to how we could include our daughter in the ceremony. Leading up to the wedding, she was responsive to all my emails and little changes. I thought that I would be so nervous the day of, but she really made me feel calm as she was officiating our ceremony. I am so happy we had Kathleen. She really made our ceremony personal and delivered it in such a beautiful way!

Kathleen's warm personality made us and our guests feel both relaxed and comfortable. She was easy to work with and reliable. Wonderful, compassionate and caring lady. Kathleen was so warm and friendly to my son and daughter in law and made them both feel totally at ease. We witnessed Kathleen marry our dear friends prior to getting engaged. Their wedding ceremony was so personal and special, once we decided on getting married in RI we called her right away to see if she'd be willing to travel to officiate our wedding. Kathleen is such an amazing woman- so kind hearted and calming. She worked with us over the phone to build our ceremony from scratch and executed it flawlessly. Thank you Kathleen! Planning a wedding is stressful enough, but trying to find an officiant out of state without ever meeting them makes things even more stressful. I had spoken with one other officiant before Kathleen and I knew immediately that she wasn't the one. I was discouraged the first time I dialed Kathleen but soon enough all of my fears had vanished. I was very nervous and she calmed me with her gentle humor and mentioned she liked the Johnny Cash ring tone. Within the first 2 minutes I knew that I had found the woman to marry us! We decided after several conversations over the phone that there would be no need to meet Kathleen before the ceremony. We met here that day as we stood on the beach at the edge of P-town and committed to one another. She speaks from the heart, embraces love as it is without judgement, and creates a ceremony that will forever be treasured. Her words are beautiful and she is a lovely, genuine person. I thank God that I found her and chose her to be a part of the most important day of our lives. She created a simply amazing ceremony.

We had such a wonderful experience with Kathleen. My husband and I eloped, we really just wanted an intimate relaxed ceremony. We all met beforehand and felt instantly at ease, she was like a long lost friend from the past. Our ceremony was private, beautiful and exactly what we wanted. Wow - what a ceremony! We had the pleasure of having Rev. Kathleen Geagan officiate our wedding on Cape Cod this fall. She was an absolute pleasure to work with. We were planning our wedding from across the country and Kathleen was flexible and accommodating to us putting together our ceremony in a series of phone calls and emails over the year leading up to our day. My husband and I absolutely loved Kathleen, she was wonderful! We received so many compliments from our guests about Kathleen. She is so kind, calming, and warm hearted. Kathleen was the first and only Officiant we spoke to and choosing her to preside over our wedding ceremony was the easiest wedding related decision we made. She was easy to talk to and eager to get to know my husband and me to make our ceremony as personal as possible. Whatever traditions are important to you, Kathleen will incorporate them seamlessly into your ceremony. At the ceremony, she spoke clearly, with conviction and told stories of my husband and me as if she's known us our entire lives. Truly, we can't recommend her enough.

This Wedding Officiant has a beautiful way with words which made me and the groom feel at ease made the audience feel as though she truly felt the love we shared for each other. We loved her presence and the energy she brought with her.

Kathleen was a pleasure to work with. She met with us in person multiple times and was in constant communication to ensure that our ceremony was special and tailored to our specifications. She also met and worked with my wife's brother to co-officiate our ceremony which was really important to us. Kathleen is a gifted officiant who is willing and capable of customizing a wedding ceremony in any manner a couple sees fit. Even more so though, Kathleen is a wonderful person to share your special day with. She has our highest recommendation.

I could not have asked for a better person to do our ceremony!!! Kathleen is a amazing person, has the best energy, kind, loving, and understanding. She made our day extra special, and we also are now friends. We couldn't have asked for a better person to marry us! Kathleen went above & beyond what we asked for... It was absolutely perfect. She is so professional and such a loving indiviual. Two years later we asked Kathleen to do a baby blessing for our new born twins and, again, she did exactly what we imagined. There is no one better to perform your wedding ceremony than Reverend Kathleen Geagan. We wanted something very personal, very loving, and a moment in time we and our close friends and family would always remember. I can say whole-heartedly that our wedding ceremony was my most favorite memory of the entire day. I will go as far as saying, it was truly magical and it surpassed all of our expectations. This wouldn't have been possible without her ability to be so in touch with love and the human spirit. She truly helped us create the most special moment in our life thus far. I know my parents who have passed on, wherever they are, were absolutely thrilled that day.

I had met Kathleen from working with her on past weddings and on the re-design of her website. From the moment we met I knew that she would be the perfect officiant to have for my own wedding ceremony. Kathleen goes above and beyond to really get to know you and make your ceremony your own. Kathleen brought the spiritual side of a wedding ceremony together with a personal poem she created just for us about our journey together to create a magical time for us both. I mean, what are the chances that we met on Union Street, chose a reading titled "Union" and also had our ceremony location located on Union Street (I swear this was not planned!)? To this day I love looking back and reading over our poem and I am even in the process of having it framed for our home. Thank you again Kathleen for being such an important part of our wedding day!

Our Ceremony was perfect. Kathleen was kind and sweet and worked with us to make a custom ceremony that was full of love. Everyone was crying and said it was the best ceremony they had ever seen.

Kathleen was absolutely incredible and I thank my stars we found her. She was incredibly responsive and was all too happy to work with us either by phone or e-mail, whatever was easier for us. She helped to craft a very personal ceremony where it did not feel like the same stock speech. She even surprised us all by writing us an "ode" at the last moment as a surprise. She is kind, intelligent and genuinely is able to, despite I am sure hundreds of weddings, make each couple feel special and appreciated, as these couples are having one of the biggest days of our lives. Our wedding was so much more special because of Kathleen and I urge anyone having a wedding at the Cape not to even bother searching for another officiant -- Kathleen is the one.

When our daughter and son-in-law decided that getting married during our family vacation in Cape Cod would be a great we idea wondered how we would ever select an officiate when we were so far away in Montreal.

The moment we called Kathleen from a long list of choices we knew that she would be excellent and after meeting with her in late April on a trip to confirm the details she just reaffirmed our decision.

Kathleen took the time to really get to know not only our daughter and son-in-law but the whole family and crafted a beautiful personalized ceremony especially for them. She was constantly in touch by emailing us drafts until every last word was exactly what we had envisioned.

Even with three four year old flower girls entertaining the guests Kathleen remained relaxed and unflustered and even included them in the ceremony making all the guests feel part of the ceremony as well.

As photographers we have seen a lot of wedding ceremonies and I can honestly say none have been as beautiful and heartfelt as the ceremony Kathleen created for our family. We would all highly recommend that if you are considering getting married on the Cape to contact Soulful Wedding Ceremonies for a memorable and beautiful ceremony that none of the guests will soon forget.

Kathleen was a wonderful Officiant and lead a truly heartfelt and genuine ceremony for us. While we were both raised as Christians, our friends and families come from a multitude of different faiths and cultures and we were worried that we wouldn't be able to find someone who could incorporate Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and Mysticism without it seeming patronizing or overwhelming. Kathleen was eager to sit down with us and work out a wonderful set of speeches and quotes. She really listened to the story of how we came to be a couple and incorporated it into a wonderful series of passages that both our families and close friends enjoyed.
